EF 2016 - a furry room at 2A Hostel anyone?

Because the interest in this year's Eurofurence is enormous I'm posting this straight away to have it off my hair and don't worry afterwards.
First off - yes, I'm going to whole EF this year ^^ huzzah. I almost got on the waiting list at Estrel but didn't in the end so I'm looking for alternatives. You might recall that 2A Hostel, it's close, it's cheap, looks okay. And it's close! The downside is at this moment(unless something yet changed) there is only places left in 8person rooms. And I mean a whole 8person room is not booked yet. So I had a thought to book that whole room and look for trusty people to share it with. For now it's only me,

Heyriel(gosh guys, I hope you don't mind me posting your names here) so, friends and watchers, who would be interested? scanners that you are happy with
Posted 10 years agoAs in title, please tell me models of your scanners that you are happy with. I need something good for traditional art. Not necessarily the cheapest, must be good and give the user full control.
I hate how some scanners literally "burn" to #000000 white every space that is light, it mostly happens in sketches(if I would want to set such strong light, I would do it myself :P). My old HP didn't do that. It was, I think, over 10 years old and finally incompatibility killed it, such a shame.

I will get my stuff to the Artshow and head straight to the Artist Lounge where I will probably just stay the whole day. I already feel overwhelmed x'D and too stressed and too tired so I will just chill there. You know where you can find me.
I might make myself a break to go to the Dealer's Den(will leave a note at the table if it will be possible) and in the evening I might just head to one of the bars. I have no idea yet when I will be returning home, maybe very early :P.
The odds are really putting me on test xD so many things doesn't want to work out since beginning of this year. I just hope every beginner artist had to go through this...
I feel so bitter sweet that I can come for only one day :<. I hope next year will be better. I will be more than glad and happy if you come over to say hi c: I will try to take from that single day as much as possible.

Update-wise, I'm going forward despite the continuing shitty frame of mind and hardware breaking down all the time. I've met new awesome people and my old friends on CesFur. You know I'm talking about you, thank you guys, I love you, you are awesome ;v; oh, the concrud.
My contribution for EF conbook have been sent, now back to commissions and EF Artshow.
All the beautiful people I've been meeting on all the cons agreeably try to convince me to go to EF and that obviously it wont be the same convention without the fair and talented Bluari(please guys, this is irony of course). But what surprised me is that my major patron MY DAD tells me to go!! The thing is he have some old close friend living in Berlin so I might have a car lift there(my dad would visit his friend on the way) and I would be accomodated at his place(I know, it's not the same as the hotel but damn, I would be at EF).
Ironicaly EF is one of the closest conventions to where I live(Bydgoszcz, or the actual XIX century nickname - Klein Berlin :>) and still I never been there.
Also as I looked at their site, you can't buy a one-day ticket?.... SO IF I WANT TO GO I NEED TO ATTEND ALL THREE DAYS, OH NO, WHAT A SHAME.
So I'm counting cons and pros now since 110euros is a lot for me x'P but going to the biggest furry con in Europe is pretty much special, business-wise too.
Knowing that I would be at EF(not at the Dealer's Den, I probably won't have the chances to get there anymore) would anybody be interested in getting something from me to pick up in person at EF? Any kind of quick commission - sketches, speedpaints, laminated badges, rock paintings - I still have some rocks unpainted; prints - atm 30 different images, bookmarks and buttons. Just any quick to make stuff, I have no time to add more big commissions to my list :x.
No begging on my side here! xD It's just that I know it makes a difference if people can pick up stuff themselves. So I would be super glad if you would be so kind to seriously tell me if you would buy something(or how much ;D).
Once again - I am not sure. Just yesterday I was sure that I don't have time and funds to go there.

As promised here is the offer for badges like this. It's digitaly coloured pencil drawing with traditional textures made by me. And the price is 25€, payment via PayPal, fees included, shipping of the original pencil drawing possible but not included.
Whether for this year's CesFur or not - if you like just the style you may order something in a different theme, just CF icons will have priority.
Badges will be made before the deadline for sending icons to the con, unless you're not comming to the con then I shall give myself the permission to perhaps finnish it after this date.
I would like to encourage you to make a quick research for symbols you would like to include with your character - I appreciate leaving the artist freedom but some starting point is always very good. If not, I will just came up with something basic.
You will get a sketch for acceptance and later one some minor changes can be made too.
Final product will be 300dpi image in png, in real size fitting on A5 format.
Requests for changing theme, adding more details for a bigger price, sending more stages of work, sending the file in other formats, anything - is all welcome, I'm flexible.

EF conbooks.Question to people who been there like two times

been plotting on getting my artwork into this year's Eurofurence conbook and we were thinking about some good idea for an image. And he suggested that there must be some pattern that people follow while picking artworks that will be featured. I said "meh, just pick something that will be fun and cool to make. The conbook people must be picking unknown and talented artists to feature". But he was insisting so now I'm writing this journal to people knowing EF conbooks.Is there any pattern for images appearing in EF conbooks? Can you tell that they all had something in common(despite the con theme of course).

There was some options on your PayPal e-mail address that you could block sending you money on random making it possible for people to pay you only by sending them invoices. WHERE THE HECK IS IT NOW. I hate to spam your inboxes with it but yesterday after searching for it for two hours and acquiring a brand new mental brakedown, I just give up.
I have a regular account, I don't think it was moved to business account features because then my email address wouldn't be blocked for random payments, righttttt?!
(Also, don't you think this blocking shouldn't affect sending money as gifts... You don't type in any words anyway, so it's impossible to harm your account that way...)

Thank you for the new watches and comments, I read them I appreciate them even if I wont reply, forgive me.
I got a new fancy computer... okay, basic parts to have it working... and it can work wonders already but fears about my tablet came out to be true. I've spend way too much time trying to make it work with the old drivers and I still haven't succeed, there are no drivers for Win7 for the old grandpa. Therefore I got a bit stuck with commissions for a while. I will just have to continue with the old hardware and start saving money for new tablet(I wanted to do so for a while now) and that will be one and only, disappointment-free Wacom Intuos Pro.

Yis, I have one. Eversince I got to know about Patreon, I thought that it's great, just what I need to give some extra materialistic sense to all that drawing and painting(materialistic because everyone needs to live somewhere and eat something). That was like a year ago, I weren't sure if it would work for me right now, and I am still not sure, looking at the system of my work. But it never hurts to try out.
I have quite a lot drawings I don't show, either personal or I don't really like them or they are not finnished and rot forever in the drawer. Patreon seems more personal, more exclusive and only for people really interested so I don't have to worry about bothering anyone with my dull scribbles XD. And its very fair way to get some reward for years of posting art for free on the Internet. I will still post, see how lucky you are ;>.

I'm staying at danogambler's place until NordicFuzzCon and we have a while to fit in our schedule some commission slots for badges! They will be waist-up, detailed, traditional, watercolour and pencils, and laminated. All other details can be discussed, like lettering and which one of us should make the lineart and colouring, or should we try to divide those two stages in two between us.

I was so unsure of comming here, not knowing a single person but everybody been so friendly and hospitable I just can't help but concider comming back here next year, to the wild Russia ;3.

I need you! x3 I should make some 2015-new year themed journal, but maybe later.
I'm picking works for new prints. I will be raising quality this time, genuine fine art prints. I'm looking at my gallery's stats and many works are popular just because they are newer, while I had more watchers. The older are just less favourited but still decent works.
So my question is - which of the following works you would concider buying as prints? Go ahead and comment even with bare numbers, even if you're not comming to cons I will be on, I just need to know what people prefer c:.
Also - what do you think about offering prints of commissioned work, featuring another artist's characters(of course under permission of the commissioner!). At the moment some of my best works are commissions so I have little choice for new prints x3.

I looked through my plans, commission list and auctions and everything and I can say, pretty sure, that I made it for Nordic FuzzCon c:. Of course I would NEVER made it if not for your support, all support not just material *a mighty hug and a cookie for everyone!*. At this point I'd like to thank all my new watchers and welcome, hope you will like what you see ^^, went arts will end finally, my brain is just over-productive with emotions, I hate that, I'm working on that. I might look like a bi-polar bitch, maybe I am, but who doesn't have problems in this fandom, throw the rock at me first x3.
So! I am making a new auction after another and after another, and another. There will be only two more! Don't worry, I'll handle it all. It's for the convention campaign I planned for myself which is not only material thing anymore for me, not only to meet with people I can't wait to hug, but it's about me planning stuff and working on achieving them, without compromises :D. That's why I'm doing auction after an auction and I aim for finnishing my current to do list+the two additional auctions, before february 2015.
I really don't know if anybody care or noticed x3, maybe you think "oh really?" now. I was thinking about this, and I just thught it wont hurt to write down this journal and inform.
I never in my life really believed I can be, art-wise, in the place I am right now. Already! Even though I'm not rich and famous yet, pffhaha ;D

I don't want this journal to sound like anything pityful, "gimme money, I'm so poor", even though it is true 8D(but just like half of the people here, or more). I really don't want it. This journal is an information.
You know I did the image for this year's NFC and I'm so excited with the theme, as it's so close to what I do and love. I'm doing my best to raise funds to attend it but it's still not sure. So if there are some watchers out there who were considering commissioning me, maybe you could do it now. I would be so super glad. I think Fossegrimmen too x3.
I have quite lovely ideas for digital xmas auctions - different from what I did so far, you may want to stay tuned for that.

This is for people comming to Gdakon this year.
We will do a panel on traditional colouring and I will run it. I just need your sugestions on how to do it and what you want to learn and see.
I think that everybody would have to organise themself a drawing/lineart/something to colour(perhaps something simple like a headshot, so we wont run out of time) and then step by step I would show you how I do it, in a technique picked earlier. Maybe a camera and a projector would be helpful.
Or maybe a simple presentation would be enough, how the arts come to life(of course in a speedy manner, we wont have whole day). Would you need some supplies or would you prefer to use your own? Or maybe I should just bring over an unfinnished illustration and show everything on a living organism?
Which technique. I do images in ink, watercolour and pencils - takes most time, but even in two hours we can do a speedpaint.
I can show you oil pastel, even acrylic painting(even oil painting x3), but I guess you're mostly interested in pencils ;3.
I'd rather ask you first than trying to come up with some other-worldly ideas, what do you want to see. Posted 11 years agoI'm back from Futerkon and it was super awesome, I have another con to add to my 2015 list. I have no idea how I manage to appear on all of them. Well, if Futerkon will be the same date as EF then, oh pity. Now I'm back to arting and I'm finally done with that weird artblock.
Talking about cons. I heard some rumors that Wuff and Rusfurence 2015 wont happen because of the current situation, that any homosexual meetings in Russia are being banned. I'm just saying what I heard. To me it sounds ridiculous.
What do you think or know? Also, would you consider going to a con so far east? Some people are telling me to have an escort X3, ridiculousness again.

Welcome new watchers and hugs ya'll, hope you will like me draw.
Time to update the journal with some boring life stuff. I'm being slow with commissons, sorry about that. I'm having really hard time introducing some routine to my life, which would help me do art frequently. I hope there's some deeper reason for it, not just me being plain lazy or with my head in the clouds all the time. I believe I just need some training in positive thinking.
mfarley helps me ;> as we're onto a big collaborative project regarding his story, but about that later.
I've been meeting my polish furries on the Woodstock festival in Poland. We meet there every year, just you know, fursuit-less of course 8D. Always nice to see old muzzles and meet some new ones, khaky, thanks for everything. Woodstock was awesome as always. This year I almost went to all the concerts I wanted to, missed just one. Got uneven suntan, as always, new funny puff-pants to join my collection, I had a photo with REAL Obelix ;D and that one time when I went somewhere bare feet I stepped on a wasp D':. At least I know I'm not allergic.

Some time ago I wrote a journal about prints. At this moment I decided to print at home since my town don't offer the quality I would be 110% pleased with so we'll see how I manage by myself. At least I don't have to use public transportation :x. With bigger formats I will have to try 150km away from my town, where artistic printing really mean artistic. Not industry. I even looked through laser a3 home printers - nope, nope, nopenopenope X3, kinda expensive. Maybe in 5....10 years!
I'd welcome some printing experiences and tips, if you'd like to share :x.
My list of cons for 2015 grows bigger! This friend goes there, that friend goes there, what can I do? Tag along! I generally have slots for commissions open all the time but I'll anounce it better when I clear my current slots. There will be more auctions too c:. Two couple-auctions at least, just like those I did already.
If you'd like to find me elsewhere I'm mostly active here and dA eventualy. I think I recovered just now, you know, too much rum 8D. CF was like a beautiful dream and comming back home was like waking up back into the sad reality. But not quite, as I'm packed with positive energy like I haven't been in some time now. Seems like doing art for a living is after all worth trying out. Just look for me at the cons as I want to go everywhere now ;3.
Thank you all who attended for the great fun and talks and hugs and appreciating my art. Thanks to orgs too for doing awesome job creating this happy pirate island that Luna was for five days.

This year I will be only to Futerkon and Woodstock PL aka Furstock, but that's an information mostly for the polish furs.
So the sun is shinning, birds are chirping and art awaits to be made! :D I'm running out of originals for sale, haha. Need to make more.
For a personal note. I had a dreadful surprise when I got home. And that was my cat being worse with her teeth. She have inflamation in her whole jaw now. When I saw her, she had a fester of a size of a walnut at the bottom of her jaw, really sad sight. My dad claims it created instantly. We quickly took her to the vet, she had good blood tests so she could get some antibiotics. So at the moment she's really well, eats and snuggles like normal c:. Only with a nasty, stinky wound. She should have another surgery under anethesia but with her kidneys it would be death to her. She's 13/14 years old.
