Posted 3 years agoSo what's so important about March 17th that I'm making a journal about it? Well it's going to be my birthday of course.
Okay so hyperbole aside, I don't normally bring up when my birthday is. But I'm not feeling like a total depressive mess this year. So why not actually try looking forward to it this year. Plus I know there is likely 1 or 2 people who follow me that might like to know when it is. And I feel slightly less awkward broadcasting this fact broadly then trying to figure out an actual not jarring way to bring it up in conversation.

A proper update to start the new account.
Posted 3 years agoOh, I should also give an update to how things have been going shouldn't I.
Well my last proper update I mentioned possibly starting HRT at the end so let's start there.
So kind of quite literally for Christmas of 2020 I started HRT. So now 16 months later into HRT and I'm doing great. Like it's honestly a strange feeling to explain of finally actually feeling comfortable in my own body.
November of last year I came out to the rest of my extended family that I ever see with any kind of regularity. And that actually went surprisingly well. Not sure if grampa really knew what's was going on, but that man also can't be bothered to make sure his hearing aid is work so it is what it is.
Also end of March, this year, I got my name legally changed. That went amazingly faster than I was expecting. Literally less than 24 hours after submitting the paperwork with the court it was done. Have my state ID sorted which went smoothly. Having a little trouble with getting my birth certificate amended but that should be sorted at this point.
Also started hair removal for bottom surgery prep. So that's super exciting.
Oh and coming out at work went totally fine as well. I was mildly stressed over that for a bit with anticipation anxiety being what it is.
So yeah, overall life has been treating me well. And greatly appreciate that.
