Okay so, some of you may know that I have been unemployed since september. Its been a struggle, but unemployment has been getting me by.

Unfortunately, my unemployment has just run out and there is no way to get any extension or anything like that. The money is done.

After looking over my bills for this month only, I need aprox. $800 to cover everything, and that is before food and gas.

Hey folks!

My first picnic was a success! I had so much fun, and even a little rain at the beginning couldn't bring us down.

Good food, lots of friends, and lots of fun things to do! Visiting the playground and meeting all the kids in suit was probably my favorite part, and the best suiting experience I've ever had. Hopefully, I can find someone who took some pictures of it.

Only downside to all of it was the 'picnic hangover' I have today. xD I got a sunburn on my chest and cheeks and... some sort of weird rash on the backs of my hands and forearms. Lots and lots of tiny tiny little bumps. Its possible they're from wearing my suit gloves in the heat.

Hey, check it out! =D I found myself in the fursuit parade!

xD and for once, I like how I look on video. I'm so proud of how well everything came out... This is my very first partial fursuit and I hand made everything from the head to the gloves and tail to the kimono and obi, as well as assembling the lantern from parts I got at a craft store, after coloring the paper.

Despite some issues with the glue coming apart in the jaw/nose, she held up amazingly well over all. Nothing really broke or came apart, I didn't have to do any emergency repairs. I'll have to do some maintenance before I wear her again for any extended periods, but that's okay with me. The kimono gave me some major fits when I was sewing it, but that ended up looking just fine when I actually wore it, so it was all worth it!

Also, if you folks find any pictures of my Takara suit, please send them along to me! I know a couple of people took my picture and I would love to see them.

Well, I'm back home and its back to boring normal life. xD I hate leaving the con, it always means leaving all my friends and all the fun bustling about with people who have so much of the same interests as me.

I want to thank everyone who made my con special, from old friends to new ones and the peeps that threw money at me for my art, as well as everyone who caught me in my suit and made me feel like all my hard work was worth five times as much. Thanks guys. <3

I may not have made enough to cover my trip this year, but I don't regret it. I spent only a couple hours each day in the alley selling, but that was exactly what I wanted. Everything that got ordered at the con got done and delivered, while everything else I took was with the intent to mail it once its done. I'll be getting on that in the next week or two and try to really crank it out so I don't have to worry about it later. Even managed to deliver a couple badges that I held on to from orders last year... I'm super happy that their owners showed up to claim them.

The price hike in the Clow Cards had mixed reactions, I feel, but I don't think I'll be dropping it much, if at all. Those who did buy them were perfectly happy to pay for it, and it allowed me to spend more time doing what I enjoy rather than crouching over a table scribbling till my wrist hurt. xD; Thank you guys for that.

Lots of pony badges this year, which was great because they're fun to do, and a couple bust badges, which are nice because they let me do my own style, rather than trying to mimic someone else's. All in all, I'm happy with the turn out.

I have some pictures of my suit I'll be posting later on, and though she did take some damage from wear and tear, I'm proud she held up so well. Next year she'll get some minor repairs and some lengthening to the gloves, as well as a new jaw set up, I think, and I'll be looking at a mini fan for the muzzle to improve wear-ability since the mouth gets super hot with trapped air.

If I get ambitious, I'll see if I can start my Blue partial with all the things I've learned this go-around, and maybe keep Takara for letting other people play around in, or even sell her off... though I feel awkward with that, since I'd want to keep the character rights and I feel like the suit just isn't professionally done enough to warrant selling it. >3> Ah well, we'll see!

Now I'm going to stuff myself with some chocolate until I forget how long I have to wait for the next MFF. ;3;

I found out just a bit ago that Anne McCaffery died today at the age of 85. It saddens me to think such a wonderful woman is no longer with us, but its some solace that her life was so full and she left such a legacy behind her.

I like to think that her books shaped an essential part of me when I began reading them as a child. I have not read any book she has written that I haven't liked and I was looking forward to more from her even now. I hope she finds the peace she deserves and that some small part of her carries on in her son.

Sad as it was to leave, I'm finally home from MFF 2011. Long train ride is long, especially when you travel alone. Had some oopses and derps over the weekend, but managed to make it there and back with (I think) not forgetting anything.

The con was fantastic, and just like every year I go, it was full of new things and experiences.

A big hello to everyone in internet land that followed me home from MFF. <3 I had 15 watches when I got home! Its really great to see how many people I met there are now connected to me here.

I'm just... stunned at how popular my work was this year. You guys are awesome! I had almost more work than I could handle and twice had to bow out of the alley to work on what I had taken on. xD wow, that's all I can say. I loved doing it and the sore hand was worthwhile, because while I worked my tail off, I managed to pay for registration, train tickets AND my share of the room, which meant my con was completely free. <3 Clow card badges were extremely popular, so if you got one this year, lucky you! I'll be offering them again next year, but most likely raising the price to $25 vs. the $15 I charged this year. Supply and demand, you know! Might be able to work a little less hard if I raise the price, lol.

Ugh, my intuos3 has gone kaputz on me. When I plug it into my computer, the light blinks a few times, then goes out. I can't get any digital work done with it like this and I'm really upset... next to my laptop, its probably one of the most used devices I own. :<

Anyway, I'm scrapped for money, so I can't just go get a new one... If you peeps love me, help me out?

Also, as a special, probably one-of-a-kind deal... I have some yardage of faux fur that I would be willing to make into ears/tail for someone! I have white, red, and a black/red that's real funky.
