I am finally, and regretfully, home from AC.

It was so nice to see everyone again. It was especially nice to have so much time with , I miss you dearly my love.

It was nice not having to try and peddle my wares in the AA this year, I haven't taken a break since '09. This year I was being the consumer, and although it devoured my moneydollars vastly, it was all well worth it (especially given that I spent a good portion on my girlfriend :>).

I only got one commission at the con, which is a bit sad since I was hoping to get about 4-5 artists to draw for me. And I didn't get any of them I planned to. However, the fact that I got to commission (I'll scan and upload it soon, I promise!) makes me happy beyond belief. Never did I ever believe I would manage to get artwork from her D:

As the title says, people seemed to be getting engaged everywhere at AC this year (3 couples), including 2 the ranting gryphon himself. Every proposal that happened seemed to be well thought out/planned and I wish everybody that got engaged much luck in the future.

There were several first time experiences for me at this AnthroCon; two of which were food. I ate at Indian Spices, and enjoyed my spicy chicken tikka greatly. I also experienced the foodgasm that is Tonic this year. I regret not having gone there since my AnthroCon attendance began in '07. I literally think I shed a tear at how delicious the food there was. Another first for me was tattoos; not on me, my design is not yet finalized. was alone for most of the con, holed up in his room waiting on people who stupidly forgot to ADHERE TO THEIR APPOINTMENTS. So, on Saturday D-chan and I went up to hang out with him. Eventually, over the course of this visit D-chan got herself some ink! A tiny little thing, that I got to fill in some of :D I caused my girlfriend permanent physical scarring and she enjoyed it V:

To the people who I was supposed to hang out with and stuff, I'm sorry we never got to sit still and speak for very long D: There were a LOT of you this year so i can't even fathom everybody I should list here. That also goes for everybody I got to meet for the first time!

What drama did happen around me this year happened merely in my vicinity and never directly involved me. I can say I'm happy for that, but what drama still reared its ugly head was most unappreciated.

At any rate, I'm gonna try to relax now, and stave off this PCD. I shoulda bought booze tonight...

SECOND, Furrt's have been progressing, slowly but surely. Firstly, I need to find some self-inflating cushions again. Secondly, I will note a couple people with a question or two. Otherwise, they ARE getting done. I'm just slow as shit (mostly because of my new job; I'm waiting tables and working the kitchen in a small, local restaurant. It's a lot of fun, but a lot more taxing on my energy than I figured it would be! I feel pretty tired at night when I get off work).

As the title says, I'm going to be gone for a couple of days.

My Aunt Savilla's funeral is tomorrow, and the visitation is tonight. I'm leaving with my parents in a few hours, and won't be back til late tomorrow evening most likely.

Hello, folks. I've been pretty quiet here on FA recently the last couple months. I've only occasionally logged on to clear my inbox. Some of you are still waiting on stuff (sewing as I speak actually, I've decided to man the fuck up to my problems), and I have decided to own up to my shortcomings.


Two months ago, as I was scrambling to get my shit together and work my ass off, my mom got a phone call. And broke down into tears. You see, my aunt had been diagnosed with cancer two years ago, found in her liver. It was terminal. In August, they diagnosed her after a seizure and found the cancer had spread to her brain. Tonight, at 10:45 PM, she passed away in the comfort of her own home.

When my mother had received that phone call in august, I was working diligently on my commissioned furrts. I instantly lost interest. I have not been very good at getting my ass back in gear to work on them, because every time I tried, i remembered that phonecall, and in the most Pavlovian, asinine way I would drop them because they disgusted me. I had grown to associate them with that feeling of imminent dread that my aunt was going to be gone soon. I hope you all forgive me for my idiotic, unprofessional behavior, and I'm going to finish up those I have half done and begin working on the next ones immediately as I have a week and a half off of work yet. If you would instead prefer a refund, and I have NOT STARTED on yours, let me know. I will get the money when I can and refund you ASAP.

So, a few weeks ago, after AC i started to work on the backlog of those farting things I've been making. However, shortly afterwards while I was at work one day, my sister and brother in law came to visit. With their stupid boxer, Apollo. Don't get me wrong, I love the dog, but he hews on everything. Especially fleece it seems. OH BOY. So I lost a lot of progress.

I started back to work on the little bastards, and shortly before I could finish one my mother slaps me with "FAMILY REUNION TIME!" So another week down the drain >.<

I swear to god, folks, I am working on them, just gimme a few days to slog through a few (Voodoo, and Gelus, you guys will be done soon. Then it's ont o Quiet's. I hope these can be done within the week, I'll keep you posted!).

So, today at work, as I was counting down my register, somehow me and the other cashiers working on closing for the night got on the subject of cartoons. It basically went Adult Swim used to be good=>So did CN, now it sucks too=>Well, Generator Rex is a fun show but campy=>Ben 10 is still good despite 4chan's bitching about how Gwen isn't their loli waifu anymore=>My Little Pony is STILL AWESOME.

Then my supervisor for the evening JOINS THE CONVERSATION. And for the next five minutes, the three of us are basically "PonyPonyPonyPony.swf" while two other co workers, I'm certain, were standing there like "why the fuck are these adults, and two men to boot, discussing My little Pony |:".

But yes... I apparently have at least two bronies at work (There was even bro-hoofing, oh god why XD). I suddenly fear what might happen as more climb out of the woodwork.

A friend of mine has taken to calling me "Mom" lately. This has nothing to do with my female version of Dusty. I don't know how I feel about this... D:

Well, not entirely. I'm sitting at 's house, using his laptop to type out this journal as he skitters off to work his night shift.


First things first: If I was supposed to have a furrt done for you AT AC (ya know, like I couldn't do because of my schedule at work?) then please note me with your address; I will have them done and shipped before the week is out now that I have another day or two off.


Secondly: Business wise, AC this year was dismal for me. Mostly because as I mentioned above, I couldn't find a way to finish/work on furrts. I also had trouble getting my potion bottle holsters (with a free bottle) to move. Only sold about 5 or 6 of them :/ I was also confronted, by a member of the AC staff, about whether or not I was selling the bottles. Since I know I can't sell stuff I dont make myself, at AC, I was not selling them; they came for FREE with the holsters I was making. He understood that and let it go, and then made it seem as though somebody had actually complained about me selling the bottles. I know better than that. Just like I didn't sell d20's the last few years; I sold pendants made to house them, and they cam in the pendant. But, I digress. It seemed nobody had a major interest in my available wares this year. Maybe when I finally spring for a dealer's table next year it will be a different story!



Third Item: OH MY GOD I MISS EVERYONE D8 This year, despite horrendous sales, was one of the best years I had at AC socially. I got to meet new people and make new friends, see old friends again, and even met a few of the locals who were into the convention as well. Example: Kim from Au Bon Pain (the one along William Penn Place or whatever the road the omni is on is called) was an absolute dear. She was offering the convention attendees deals on their food (INCREDIBLE deals), and she even attended the convention saturday and bought a tail! Next year she says she wants a mask and ears. There was also a girl working August henrys (great burgers by the way, could have stood to have a different bun for them), who has on a sort of peacock-inspired-showgirl/dancer outfit that was ADORABLE. She even knew a few suiters by name!

To my roomies, Gami, D Chan, Lar, Tristan, and especially Phil: thank you for your support, and sorry for when I was being a frustrated, whiny bitch, or when I seemed to not care. I was stressed about sales and the like and I think part of it caused me to be a bit of a dick every so often (especially to , I am SO SORRY dude ;n; <3) in regards to trivial things. Again, thanks for everything and I can't wait to see you bastards next year :D

To the old friends I saw (WAY TOO MANY to even list!!) thank you for being absolute dears, and another thankyou to any of you who gave me gifts (like the badge from Ivybeth that I totally never saw posted to FA before AC, what gives?!?!). I would also like to thank for yet again, being the first person to buy a new piece of my wares (bottle and holster) for the con. I honestly believe you make the best advertiser for my things.

To the new friends, I cannot wait to pester you guys for your messengers and such! I wanna talk to everybody SO MUCH :C

-The "Meet the Medic" quoting was actually fairly sparse at AC. It was usually my group I heard saying anything about it. And even then, barely. It was also a fantastic video worth the two year wait.

-Bowrll likes things that fart a lot. I have apparently unleashed a great evil,
-I learned new things about how vorephiles sometimes satisfy their seemingly odd fetish in real life. Very informative, and it gave me a new insight to how this fetish might arise in people.
-SO MUCH PONY
-Setting up a hookah is like starting a party with no invitations; people will instinctively crowd around and soon you go from 4 people to a dozen without trying. Good times (well, until the coals got derpy and set the fresh pack on fire. Ah well!)
-I'm getting a Dealer's Den Table next year, come hell or high water D:<
-If I stop at a service station along the Ohio Turnpike, Blackfrost will always be there! No seriously, we saw her on the way to AC, and then today on the way BACK XD
-Images is the best bar ever, gay or otherwise, and I am going to lose a lot of money there next year. I might even get drunk FOR REALZ (never been drunk before, only buzzed).

I would very much like to create a costume very similar to the one Van Pelt (the Hunter) in Jumanji wore. Now, normally this would be easy but my google-fu is weak, or it's just damned impossible to find out what words I'm supposed to use in order to find clothing for this outfit. Earlier this afternoon, my phone started buzzing; it was a friend of mine. When I answered she sounded liek she was ready to cry.


Apparently, right behind where she works int own, a baby duck had fallen into one of the storm drains (the design of which made it impossible for it to be washed away, plus it was bone dry today). Momma duck was calling to it, it was crying, and nobody else my friend called could come help. So she wanted to talk to my mom. Mom says "Sure, yep, be right there". She grabbed a net she uses for her garden ponds, to scoop fish out, and she and I piled into the jeep and drove into town.


We showed up, fished out the baby, and mom determined (after seeing momma duck) that they are wood ducks. She gave my friend the number of our local game warden so he could relocate the ducks. My friend was very relieved, and I feel good because that's TWO birds I've saved/rescued in the past 2 days (another was in a storage closet at work and couldn't get out; I caught it and set it loose outside).
