Yeah, so, I'm not posting here very often, seeing how I've been busy this whole time as an "essential worker". So far, I haven't caught COVID (as far as I know) and I've been doing horrible shit to my fingers(OW!) but other than that, I'm okay. Also, another change has come in Blue's evolution as a character: she's trans. Part of this is artistic, and part of this is personal. Just to be clear though, older versions(herm versions) are still "canon", just in different realities. I may or may not continue some old comics, if nothing else but to finish them. Any new stories will be featuring trans-Blue. I'll be posting more stuff soon!

.....i'm gearing up for the suck.

Okay, so synchronicity's a bitch. First off, my Gf's dad got sent to the psych ward, and no-one could figure out what had happened. The Hospital would not release any information until the next week when my Gf and her aunt found out he had tried to commit suicide. He had slit his wrists and called the ambulance so they could find his body. That didn't quite work out for him in that he survived and the put him under observation. Now on to MY dad. There's a certain mindset my dad has, and although its not overtly suicidal, one might think he is. For context: Greece, 1976- my dad went to run the actual Marathon run and in a frenzy of sleepless sightseeing(48-72hours straight) he fell asleep at the wheel, rolled his rental car and seriously fucked himself up. He ended up sneaking out of the hospital, wrapped in bandages like a mummy, and ran half the marathon before his injuries caught up with him. Now fast-forward to last week, he went hiking up in the hills and ended up rolling down a hill. He's 83, so of course he busted his ribs. I had to find out about it from my sister, who also informed me he had an enlarged prostate(no cancer fortunately)


......so there you have it, dads causing so much worry and stress. I have been sustaining myself with cat videos this past two weeks. Maybe I'll get around to posting stuff.

Had a bit of a scare over the weekend, I thought my tooth broke. It felt like it was just being held together by the pressure of the surrounding teeth and I could feel the split on the inside with my tongue. I had visions of getting root canals or teeth pulled and it really freaked me out. It turned out to be my giant filling on that tooth had split in half. A little Novocaine and a bunch of amalgam later it was fixed. Totally breathing a sigh of relief.

Getting to halfway through my work schedule, I finally got around to doing some art! I'm hoping to do some comics in the future and sharing them with y'all, but for now, baby steps. my alternating matrix schedule has wreaked havoc on my art time and I'm hoping to find a way to adapt.

Even though my drawing tablet works, I still can't get a feed to the tablet display....something about a faulty HDMI converter... XP Pen was supposed to send a replacement but I haven't heard back from them. I might have to hunt one down myself.

On a lighter note, I just watched Love, Death, & Robots. THAT SHIT ROCKED. Favorite episodes: Sonnie's Choice, Three Robots, Suits, The Hunt, and Witness(the motion capture alone was mind-blowing!!) Overall its a grab-bag of animation and stories, some good, some...eeeehhh, but overall pretty damn good and worthy of a binge watch. Apologies for not posting that much, been on Twitter for the past few weeks, and I'm hoping to get in enough time to start working on a new comic.

Sunday morning was amazing! My GF made scones for breakfast, and they were sooooo goooood! I told her it was like licking angel tiddies. Ffuuuuuck it was good!

Last day of Kwanzaa, time to celebrate creativity!! So in honor of this day, I'm staying home, sick, in bed watching Godzilla movies. And drawing. And coughing. And wanting to do shots of butterscotch schnapps until my mood improves. (gotta save that for tonight!)

Another year older today! Aside from the minor drama between my GF and her son, today was a pretty good day. Went to El Patron and ate a huge bowl of meat (the Molcejete bowl!) and had cake and MST3K streamed on my computer for the Turkey DayMarathon. will probably get back to drawing stuff tomorrow. Love to all!!

Just chillin for the holidays...nothing too special, thanks to ASU's showing of Dario Argento's SUSPIRIA and DEMON!! Excellent movies to get me in the mood for the season!!

I swear to frikkin god they must be aiming at me with this shit. Well, in case my power goes out tonight or tomorrow, posted some poern and may or may not be back soon depending on the severity....

okay, so I have been playing Honkai Impact 3 for the past two months which has been taking up a lot of time I should be drawing...so maybe if I get my Flame Sakitama up to S-rank I could ease up on it and get back to drawing....and dealing with the hurricane heading for my house! Well it won't be a hurricane when it gets here, and at worst I might lose power for a couple of hours...I'm just not feeling a sense of urgency about it even though my dad and sister keep messaging me asking if I'm prepared...

Its the same feeling I have about Earthquakes when I used to live in California- meh, nothing major. When did I get so jaded about hurricanes???

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, just trying to get back to some sense of normalcy here. Just kinda threw myself into mindless bullshit to escape dealing/coping with all that's happened in the past two months, but now I'm fresh from a well deserved vacation.

two people in two weeks. this has got to stop. R.I.P. Aunt Debbie.

Been holding it in for the past few days...my GF's mom died this past weekend, the day before Mother's Day. I got back from the funeral and drank myself into unconsciousness, but now I'm doing a bit better. I should be grateful that her death wasn't from Alzheimer's and its strange to think pancreatic cancer as something of a mixed blessing, but there it is. As for her deadbeat husband that ran off, we're thinking he might show up to try and collect some inheritance, or the house, but thanks to certain measures he will get little to nothing. As for the service itself, it went rather smoothly.

I could talk at length about all the crap raining down on my GF's life(and consequently MY life) but I'm tired of that crap. So here's a short list of what I listen to when I draw my stripper poern:

Been dealing with a multitude of problems, but nearly done with moar poern!!

There's a reason I haven't been posting, drawing, or much of anything this past 20 or so days. Its my GF's Mother situation. Her Step-dad(I use that term loosely) ran out on Valentines Day, and her Mother drove around looking for him, calling him about 35+ times, only to end up at a gas station two miles away, car wrecked and no Knowledge where she was and unable to remember that she HAD a wreck in the first place. GF had the paramedics take her to the hospital where she was diagnosed with a bleed in her brain around her vision center, fucking with her eyesight. After going thru all the paperwork at her mom's house, my GF found out that her Step-dad had hid the severity of mom's dementia/Alzheimer's and had run up three different credit cards, took a mortgage on the house, and was delinquent on the payments of the new truck(which he took) that had been bought for him. Just to add insult to injury, he called on the 16th to demand that my GF's mom send him $300 Western Union to his location. Not ask, not beg, but demanded it. I can officially say that his free ride is over. He hasn't come back, and I have a feeling that he wont....if he's smart. Right now we're working on getting things in order financially, paying bills, cancelling services no longer needed, sorting thru legal paperwork and weighing our options. On the medical front, her mom isn't doing so well. Other than the few lucid conversations we've had the first few days with her, she mostly sleeps and spouts nonsense. I really don't know when she'll ever get out of the hospital, and if she does, where will she go? Right now I'm so mad at that asshole I'd probably kill him on sight....or at least get in the "kill him on sight" line behind my GF, her brother, her son, other assorted relatives....

Right now I've done little else than to sketch in my sketchbook, but I'd REALLY like to do more comics.....

My GF's mom "got lost" looking for her deadbeat husband, and wrecked her car. She doesn't seem to be hurt, but her car looks like it ran into a giant can opener....and she can't remember ever getting into a wreck.... More later....
