Hey there, folks! It's been a while. A lot of things have changed since I last made an update. Skip to the bottom if you just wanna get to the commission stuff.

I left my job!
Given my health situation, I felt it was best to leave my dusty warehouse job. It's done me a world of good and I've been a lot more productive art-wise. Been doing some doing some bloodwork and tests and hoping to get a diagnosis and some answers soon.
I'm not sure if I'll be pursuing part-time work or not, but I know I'm pretty much done with full time work outside of art.

Commission openings (aside from this one) will be on the 26th of every month again.
Because I have a waaay more steady schedule now, I can reliably open on the 26th of every month, much like I did when I first started taking commissions.

Cell shading and Soft Shading are now their own commission type
So last time I experimented with separating my shading styles. Being more comfortable with soft shading now and it being more detailed than cell shading, there's now a $10 difference between the two styles, soft shading being the higher tier.

I've been splitting my SFW and NSFW/kinky content
I've already mentioned this before, but just in case you missed it or are wondering why your commission isn't up yet, it may be cause it's NSFW/kinky, in which case it'll be uploaded to  voredom

'Tis the season for giving! So, every year I host a free art stream a little before Christmas. Last year I came up with the idea of nominating someone you feel deserves gift art with an optional reason. It truly got me into the Christmas spirit and went so well that I've decided to do the same this year and years to come!

So here's how it works:

- I'll need your nominee! Can be anyone, even yourself!
- Your name + an associated gallery or social media profile. Just so I know I'm dealing with a real person! This is required, but you have the option to not have your name listed and have your potential gift be anonymous.
- What kind of stuff does this person like? SFW ideas only! No guarantee I'll draw it, but it helps to know! (Optional)
- Why this person? Maybe they're a friend. Maybe they had a rough year. Maybe it's a last minute Christmas present. Could be anything! Or you can simply leave it blank. (Optional)
If your nominee is picked, the reason will be read out in stream and put into the description of the upload. If you'd prefer that the reason stay private, that's totally cool too!
- Last thing: You do not have to attend the stream to submit requests, so don't worry about not being able to make it!

The form will stay live until December 16th and close at 9 PM EST. You may fill out as many entries as you'd like. Giving myself a week to sort through these things since I imagine there will be a lot!

The Holiday Stream will be held on Saturday, December 22nd, from 2pm EST until past midnight (or until I tire out!)

Hey there, folks.

Just putting an update out there saying I'm still alive and thanks for being patient with me. Body was doing its usual sick thing which made it pretty difficult to work on art due to the amount of brain fog and difficult to communicate with people. Like, not only updates like this but friends too. And I was also deterred because if I said anything was wrong, it may have involved a long explanation, which I wasn't in the best state to give.
It really had nothing to do with taking on a lot of commissions. I actually enjoyed having a lot to do! And things were going super well when I was in a better state. Art in itself pretty much never tires me out. (I mean, I DID stream for 12 hours on my birthday) Buuut I got the flu one week among other things which put me behind somewhat, and then my day job got busy, resulting tiredness, and being subjected to my workplace's dusty atmosphere and causing my body's stupid autoimmune response.
So, news! I'll be leaving that job in mid January and go for part time work instead elsewhere. I'll be way healthier for it and have way more time to dedicate towards art instead (...and sleep too). This job is literally the only thing holding me back, atm.

Anyway, the only commissions that remain are:

My birthday stream will be held on October 6th and it'll be a NSFW stream. It'll run as long as I'm able to stay awake, pretty much. A kind of "anything goes" stream. I'll decide the rules on the fly. It'll be fun. ;)

The Halloween stream will be on... Halloween. So, that's a Wednesday. There's a possibility it may be moved. We'll see how things go.

Just a heads up that I'll be opening commissions this Saturday at 5 PM EST. Gonna be taking a lot of slots this time around.
I'll be taking 18 slots and working on them in batches of 6 at a time. Everything should be done by mid October/early November latest (that's when my day job really picks up, so ideally sooner).
Prices are still the same for now. I was thinking of dividing up cell shaded and soft shaded - the latter costing a bit more - but I think I need better examples. I'll be putting an option in the commission form if there's any particular preference. They'll be priced the same for now.

In other news

I won't be at Canfurence this year. Something kinda came up so finances are a lot more tight, hence one of the reasons for the large amount of slots. Maybe next year! I do wanna give the Artist Alley a shot at some point to see what that's like.

On the bright side, I recently discovered that I am a lot more allergic to dust than I originally thought. I've made my room hypoallergenic and it's relieved a lot of my health problems. I have autoimmune issues, so whenever my body goes to fight something off (say, an allergy or food sensitivity), it kinda fires all over the place and I get inflammation and flare ups. It's also the main thing that gets in the way of my art. Since dealing with what was one of the main sources of the flare ups, I've been feeling so much better and able to take on a lot more art again. :D

Last thing! Art trades!
I said I'd open for them last month but like said, something came up. I've still been participating in Art Fight on and off, so if you still wanna do something there on these last few days, send over an attack and I'll get back at ya. Name is the same as here.

Heya folks

This is just a quick journal to say I'm almost through with all the commissions. Just one more remains and that'll likely be delayed until next week. My day job has gotten unexpectedly busy and there's overtime every day this week (which you're kinda expected/guilted into taking), so I've been pretty damn tired by the time I get home. That and this weekend I'll be busy with family.
After commissions are done, I have a much needed ref for ThornDracorn to finish and a whole lot of personal art too.

For the entire month of July I'll be working on TRADES. I'll probably poke a few folks and put up a journal. In addition, I'll be participating in Art Fight! So no matter what your skill level is, feel free to attack me, and I'll do my best to attack back!

My next commission opening will be in August. I may take a few slots before then as I'll be attending both Anthrocon and Canfurence. I'm usually pretty cool with drawing in sketch books or taking a quick slot at cons, so feel free to approach me about that then if you happen to catch me there and we could maybe arrange something.

Heya there!

So I've got a bit of a situation.
My internet speed and connection hasn't been the greatest for a while now. It's affected my ability to do art streams or game online with friends. And lately it's been going out for hours at a time altogether. Fastforward to today and it's been out completely since yesterday afternoon. Phoned up my ISP and it seems my old modem is to blame. They offered to send over a technician to check things out and maybe send a new modem, but seeing as I was planning on switching to cable for the faster speeds anyway (faster DSL is not available in my area), I told them not to bother and went ahead with switching my internet plan and canceling my current (non fuctional) plan.

So good news is by next week I'll have faster internet and finally be able to stream without issues and do so more frequently!

Bad news is no internet for a week until that gets set up. (The horror!)

I'll still be able to work on commissions, of course. The only thing that'll be affected is my ability to post Trello updates as frequently and send files out. There are workarounds. Just slower.

So anyway, thanks for your patience and understanding. I'll do my best to keep in touch.

Anyway, on an unrelated note... something I've been thinking on a while.
I'd like to start gearing this account in a more vanilla direction and separating the nsfw/obscure/blatant fetish content. It's mostly due to the fact that FA doesn't have a blacklist feature and who knows how long it'll take for that to happen. And last I checked, the thumbnail system is kinda broken?
I'm totally cool drawing a wide variety of content, but certain content is gonna appeal to some folks and turn off others. And there's no way on the viewer's end to really filter what they wanna see from me. They pretty much gotta take the whole package. Or leave it.
The feeling is really apparent after doing freebie streams or going to cons, especially. Cause in those cases, I draw a lot of really cute, sfw art that can pretty much appeal to anyone. Then people usually wanna follow my FA at that point and it's kiiinda different. And would be even more so if I didn't restrain myself.
Like, that's the next thing. There's a LOT of stuff I don't post on here. Either it's kind of extreme or just kinda out there. But it feels out of place here.
On the flip side, I'd like to start making more simple stuff like icons, adoptables, and bases.
...I wanna draw all the things, really.

Anyway, there's gonna be some overlap and it may seem arbitrary, but it calms my silly brain that feels the need to organise things. And maybe that's ultimately what it comes down to. haha

Heya there!

How's everyone doing these days? How's your 2018 going?

My 2018 had a bit of a rough start. Because of some ongoing mystery-to-my-doctors immune issues, I had a flare up Christmas eve which lasted a few weeks and I've been taking some time to recover. Thankfully, January and February are a really slow period for my day job so I've had some much needed time off. Would have opened commissions earlier, but I really needed this, it seems! I'm feeling much better now. Still some joint issues, but hopefully that heals at some point as well.
Been playing a ton of Zelda: Breath of the Wild thanks to ThornDracorn who gifted it to me this Christmas. I haven't had that much enjoyment in a single player game in a very long time. Normally it's hard for me to get immersed in games these days cause I get addicted to productivity... and playing a game by myself doesn't feel productive. Sucks out all the enjoyment. I think the fact that I was sick helped in a weird way. Cause then the PRODUCTIVE thing to do was just relax and recover. Go figure. Also the game is just really good.
I also got Splatoon 2, but my internet is garbage so I haven't really been able to play online. Currently waiting until the end of spring where I'll change ISPs and get a much better plan. This'll mean more stable Picarto streams as well.

Aside from that, I'll be going to Furry Fiesta this year! There, I'll get to meet my boyfriend  Rhewin in person for the first time, just like I got to meet boyfriend  ThornDracorn at Anthrocon. It was an unforgettable experience and I'm sure this'll be one too. Here's hoping the PCD doesn't hit me too hard this time... haha (Who am I kidding. It totally will)
No plan on Dealer's Den or Artist's Alley, though I will be one of the artists at the Doodles for Charity panel! So feel free to stop on by at 7:30 Friday if you want a free doodle! If you choose to donate, all donations go to the con's charity, CARE. It's a win-win!

Anyway, back to business!

Since I have all this time on my hands now and I'm feeling much better, I'd like to get the ball rolling on commissions again. I'll be opening sometime tomorrow afternoon and it'll be through the form. I'll take anywhere between 5-10 with a focus mostly on smaller ideas. I'll choose bigger ideas only if I really like em. So no first come first serve this time. The form will be open at least 24 hours, so plenty of time to figure something out.

I'm also making a small change to the TOS in content I will/won't draw. I realized I don't really ACTUALLY care what I draw for the most part. People like what they like! I care mostly about what I put in my own galleries, if anything. So I'm removing a bunch of stuff from the Will Not Draw category. It's just a damn picture and I wanna make folks happy at the end of the day. And even if I choose not to upload it myself, you're always free to upload it to your gallery (with a link back, of course). Or e621. I really don't care what goes there. At least that site actually has a blacklist function like every other gallery site not stuck in the past.

New Will Not Draw list will be:
- Non consensual sex
- Cub (sfw babyfur is fine)
- Sexualized gore (this is to comply with Canadian obscenity laws, really. There's some leeway. Ask if not sure.)
- Hateful art
- Political themed art (I'd rather keep my commissioned art out of this regardless if I'm for or against the message.)

There might be an additional fee for some themes down the line, as I'm not getting the extra advertising from putting certain images on my galleries or portfolios, but eh, it's not really a huge issue right now.

Aside from that, I've added some new/old choices back to the Commissions options.
Sketch commissions: $15. $10 per extra character. $10 per side panel. $5-10 for background. Upgrade-able.
Lineart commissions: $28. $15 per extra character. $15 per side panel. $10-30 for background. Upgrade-able.

In addition, I'm also offering the service of inking another artist's or your sketches. You MUST have permission from the artist before requesting this type of commission. Price ranges from $12 to $20 per character depending on complexity. Backgrounds will also add to the cost. Ask for a quote if you're not sure.
ALSO, if you're an artist and wanna outsource your inking stage to someone, I'M YOUR GUY. I actually enjoy doing this stuff. I prefer toon styles with varying lineweights, but I can work with other styles as well. Please note that thinner lines will be more time consuming, so that may up the price a bit.
When I ink another artist's work, my goal is ultimately to bring out what I believe to be the artist's intention. It's hardly ever a strict trace and I'll make small proportion corrections and clean up small details when necessary.
This option is ALWAYS OPEN. Send me a note or email if you're interested.

If you haven't already checked out the site, you should! I've been using it to dump art I've drawn/commissioned/received of my many characters.
It's fantastic for people like me who have a ton of characters and like to keep things organized. It's also fantastic for artists cause all the info is in one place. You can put color codes, likes/dislikes, descriptions, or whatever other info is relevant. Uploading art is also super fast and easy and there's not a billion tedious fields to fill out.
The site is also handy for when FA goes down and you or an artist lose access to your refs.

Anyway, it's constantly being updated. Worth checking out.

Thanks to all who attended the stream on Saturday. It's always a pleasure to make people smile with art and the whole nominating thing I did with the form is something I definitely wanna do again going forward. I truly got into the holiday spirit waking up and looking to see over 30-40 forms submitted and reading all the wonderful comments full of love for your friends. Like, pretty sure I got teary eyed cause I'm a sap for stuff like that.

Anyway, I ended dividing the submissions by
- Who was mentioned the most
- People who were going through a rough time
- People whose birthdays fell close to Christmas
- And some were picked at random

I started with just a sketchy first image and before I knew it, I was doing full body images for 6 people. I get carried away sometimes. :P
Next time I might do more headshots just so I can cover more people.

Anyway, regardless of whether you got chosen or not, there's always next year~

Aside from that, my Christmas was decent. I got a whole lot of chocolate and 2-3 bottles of wine. Sadly, I was also in pain all yesterday and today. My immune issues are acting up quite a fair bit and my everything hurts, so it'll be a while until I even touch sugar or alcohol again.
Spent some time with one side of the family and gonna head out soon for the other. We'll see how that goes!

Just a heads up! I'll be doing a Christmas/Holiday stream tomorrow (December 23rd). Like the Halloween stream, there will likely be shenanigans and also FREEBIES.
It'll be divided in 2 portions:

~2 PM EST onwards will be SFW

~9 PM EST onwards will be 18+

There will be a break between them in case I wanna eat or nap or whatever else people do to live and stuff. Or maybe it'll just end abruptly cause of a faulty power supply. Crossing my fingers the latter doesn't happen and that my internet cooperates as well.

Anyway, it'll be a bit different this time around. Since this is the ~Season of GIVING~, I wanna let people nominate someone who they feel could use a gift. Maybe it's a close friend, a last minute Christmas gift, or maybe it's someone who's had a rough year. Let me know in the form below and I'll pick a few tomorrow! This will be for the SFW portion of the stream. (Since some folks may feel uncomfortable be gifted NSFW art)
As for what type of art they'll get (headshot, full body, sketch, whatever), that'll be decided in stream.

For the NSFW portion, it'll probably be shenanigans as usual.
