I have come to the conclusion, simple and pure, that I am a fool for trying to take commissions. Writing is supposed to be for passion from me. Additionally, I struggle with ideas and motivation. A lot. Sometimes, the wind blows right and I hit an idea that I just can't resist, and I love when that happens! Most times, that never happens. So... even though I will not be taking commissions ever again, I offer this:

This should come as no surprise - so long as our greedy capitalist overlords think they can get away with price gouging, I'll have to play by their rules. I promise, if the price of gas ever goes back to being below $2/L and bread costs $0.99 a loaf and soy milk costs $3 for 2L - actually 2L, not 1.89L or even 1.75L - then I'll bring my prices down to reflect the world.

Microfic comms are now $25 per microfic

And...

I am now charging a variable rate on full-bore writing comms, ranging from $150 to $300

After doing two commissions with well over ten thousand words and being paid under $0.01 per word for them, and making a "microfic" that's over 2,000 words (even after the generous tips of the two people who paid for the full comms,) I have come to understand that I cannot break my body and mind for pennies. Even if I enjoy making the stories.

Wow! Crazy, right? I'm upping my rates because I'm putting more effort into my stories!
Anyway.

My #1 commission slot is currently occupied by a very nice person on Discord who is going to get one very nasty story that I'm super excited and horny about. This means there will be a gap before I can take on any other stories that I'm interested in. However, microfics can skip the line! Because microfics are so much easier for me to do and I do less re-reading and editing in the course of their creation, I can sometimes do them in a single day, instead of over multiple weeks. This makes them far more tenable, and allows me to keep my passion for larger works by letting me shift my fleeting attention from one task to another.

- $100 USD for a full fic. You tell me what you're into, we ping-pong ideas back and forth, and I take that prompt and work with it until I no longer want to work with it. Definitely over 1,500 words, with no upper limit but the limit of my ability.

As a reminder, I am very selective and will only work on things I'm passionate about. Don't take it personally - I write because I love to, not because it's a job. If I'm working to get your idea on the page, it'll be less horny and thus less good than if I'm writing it.

So, last night, I had a dream, and I think I want it to have changed my life. I had a BDSM dream, apparently partly along the lines of a REALLY FUCKING GOOD COMIC I DIDN'T KNOW EXISTED UNTIL AFTER I HAD THIS DREAM.

Premise of the dream was simple. Slavery is legal, I've been enslaved, and I live as someone's property now. Grim, miserable sort of thing - except how... Heartwarming and wonderful it all was. It felt fulfilling.
I vividly remember still the sensation of being collared, being property, lounging in master's presence. What am I doing? Who was my master? It doesn't matter, it's faded. What mattered was being owned, being observed, being a thing in its presence. I didn't simply love the person, with the details getting faded as the dream enters the past. I loved being owned, and gradually fell in love from an initial position of dejected apathy ("This is the rest of my life now, I suppose") to total obsession and adoration with the treatment as property, as a Thing, to be cherished.
Things happened in the dream, of course, but they weren't relevant to me. I didn't have to worry myself with the goings-on of people - I was property, and I gradually fell more and more in love with this concept until I could barely remember ever having been a person.

So anyway, haha, jesus, I am really in the market for someone who wants to treat me like a Thing now. Yare yare daze.
