Farewell.

I know I've been gone for some time.
But a lot has happened, and I have reasoning for my disappearance.

For one, however long ago since my last submission, all of the tablets I have access to (mine and sh0tty's, a total of three) are all broken (they're wired, and the wires are broken). She got a job about six months ago at the local Sonic, and she hasn't had much free time, being worked roughly 40 hours a week.
She also moved... and I got the opportunity to move with her.
My own home was such a stress factor. I hardly had internet at my own house.
And the week I was moving, my mom decided to get wireless.
I moved out, and in, and I've been in this new home for roughly a month.

Without internet, of course.
But we're supposed to be getting an ATT bundle package for TV, internet, and phone sometime this week, maybe.
As for tablets, she's wanting to buy some new ones, wireless ones, and perhaps they'll last longer.


Just figured I'd update since I've been dead for so long...

I'm going to move accounts. This one will stay up (including pictures, etc.), but it's time for me to start over. I need to improve.

Sorry for the hiatus, as well as lack of communication.

In other news, I've been bouncing between Sh0tty's house and my Aunt's/Grandparents'. As you may or may not know, my grandmother is very near the end of her life. She's been in and out of the hospital about three times due to respiratory failure, and says the next time she falls into an attack that she will not go back to the hospital and that we should just let her go. It's what she wants. And I don't blame her, the black and blue and red and green bruises all up and down her arms and hands from the IV's.... that still remain.

She was only a little 82 pound woman (who just turned 73 years old, mind you) when she entered the hospital, and now that she's back home, she's just a little over 100 pounds now. Her face is filling out, and she's looking fantastic... But now we're just all waiting. All we can do is comfort her.
And I know that I probably won't be arting around for a while after she goes... but....

Just thought I'd update all of you. Not that many people are probably reading this anyway. :/

Well... My grandma's back in the hospital with pneumonia and respiratory failure... again. She just got out a week ago for the same thing.. after being in the hospital for two weeks. So.
Nobody knows if she's going to make it out and whatnot.

So. I've got another night to survive without sleep. In the hospital. Might get something done, but I have a feeling commissions won't be one.

I'm not sure how many people understand what SOPA/PIPA actually mean, so here's the skinny of it. SOPA/PIPA is not censorship the way we all know and loathe it. This is an all-new, nuclear-weapons grade kind of problem... at least for us first-world countries.

It goes like this:

1) See this website?
2) Now you don't.

A lot of people think SOPA/PIPA will make surfing the internet worse. Those people don't understand the full scope of the problem. SOPA/PIPA will not make sites like Youtube, Facebook, Inkbunny, FA, DA, Etsy, and other such sites block infringing content. There is no "please remove this content" phase after SOPA/PIPA passes. Dealing with copyright infringement after SOPA/PIPA works like this:

1) Company discovers infringing material on a website.
2) Company files legal claim against website.
3) Government acts on legal claim and
3a) Issues legal order to search engines to remove site from results, and
3b) Issues legal order to domain registrar to permanently shut down website.

This means that, regardless of where the website is hosted, it will be inaccessible in America except to the very tech-savvy. It doesn't matter that the site itself is outside America's jurisdiction; SOPA/PIPA targets only accessibility, not hosting.

And it also means that one wrong video will make Youtube a goner. One bad post will shut down Facebook forever. One bit of fanart and Inkbunny is toast.

Supposedly there was going to be an internet strike today. Kudos to Reddit, Mojang, and Wikipedia for going completely black; this is what needed to happen. Youtube needed to disappear completely today. So did Facebook. So did everything else. I am disgusted by these pansy little notices ("We are protesting SOPA, but not in any way that might negatively impact my business!").

Furaffinity: SOPA/PIPA will not have a "chilling effect on your ability to conduct business". If SOPA/PIPA passes, your site will disappear. You will not have the option to censor your material. You will likely not even be contacted. All of a sudden you will type in furaffinity.net and you will get a network/TCP error (server not found). Because it won't be there anymore. SOPA doesn't just adversely affect internet activity; it shuts it right the fuck down.

But nobody really knows how bad it is, because the big names, the ones that will go bye-bye, have these little tiny-ass notices. Which tells everyone "This is a little tiny problem." But it isn't. Read up on what major media moguls like Sony, Disney, and the MPAA have to say about the internet: you'll find they really do not give a single shit if the entire internet just disappears overnight. They don't rely on it for money. To them, the internet is an enemy, pure and simple. They don't want to use it; they want it to go away. SOPA/PIPA will make that happen.

And if you don't think SOPA/PIPA will pass, you apparently missed the NDAA passing a few weeks ago that allowed the military to flip the Constitution the bird and hold American citizens indefinitely in Guantanamo Bay (you know, the torture prison). The 112th Congress is on a big roll of "Fuck You, America", so I'd suggest getting your rear in fucking gear and doing something about it.

Pledge to support and vote only for officials who oppose internet censorship. And sign up for their newsletter, and sign every fucking petition against online censorship they send to you.

My life is bullshit.
I lost my goddamn flashdrive. somewhere between moving data from my old broken laptop to my new cujrrent one and now.
MOTHERFUCKER.
I've fucked up my whole room, closet, and dresser looking for that bitch.

My computer, my laptop... I've had for nearly 5 years. It's in moderately poor condition, with frequent errors, shut-offs, crashes, overall slowness... Broken and loose ports... Viruses.

I saved my most important files like SAI files onto a newly-purchased flashdrive, and restored it to factory condition. My dad, as stubborn as he is, got me a new laptop (only about $298 at Wal*Mart). HP, same as my other. Just missing a 10-key pad and side scroller. This one also has Windows 7 and its features, as all new models of computers in general have.

My old computer was just overall in a state of not-working, and I've been unable to get online for the past couple of months. I'm still facing troubles and stress at the homefront, debating whether or not to move in with the love of my life just yet. I still need a job, after all.
And we've been looking at beauty colleges somewhat close by, the closest about a 30-minute drive, to Dalton.
I think I want to be a master cosmetologist. But, I can't handle college-college, with the academics and whatnot that I know for certain I will not do well in, so I want to head straight into it.
Where I wanna go, Genesis Career College, totals to about $13,900 which includes everything from tuition and books to mannequins and supplies and tools.

So. That's where my time has been applied lately.
I still am, as have always been, deeply sorry for my absence and delay, it is still no excuse as to why I haven't finished any of my work.
I'll get back started in the new year.

Oh, and did I mention that we had a tornado hit last night? Flattened a big blue barn/farmhouse at the end of one of our close-by roads. Everyone made it out safe, they rolled their way out of the storm. Literally. Man and his pregnant wife and their one-year old son. The husband owns a nearby taxidermy. :/

As for ourselves, we just caught strong wind of it. Had some roof damage, and completely ripped off the roof of the sturdy doghouse. A tree smashed our fence, as well as the fence of the neighbors behind us.

And I had never been more terrified for someone's life as I did my lover's last night... considering how close-by she is now.

But we all made it through, safe and sound.


Anyways. Hope I've summed this up well enough... Gotta go see Santa in an hour.
