Rock 'n' Roll!
General | Posted 15 years agoOkay, so I have this itching to get a rock/metal pic featuring my characters with all four of them depicted as a band. :D
I can definitely pay. So if anyone is up to the task of making my characters into rock stars hit me up. ^_^
And thanks to the 100th episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, I got an idea, as a joke to make the band like Scooby-Doo. They travel to different gigs and end up having to solve mysteries. Classic Scooby-Doo style with the laugh track and lame jokes, Jessie in Daphne's role of consistently getting abducted, the villain being in disguise and turning out to be someone the "gang" met early on and were suspicious of from the start, etc. The difference is I'd probaply throw in a NCIS/Law and Order kind of theme when it comes to the mysteries. Mature. VERY Mature. XD
Like Scooby-Doo/Josie and the Pussycats meets Metalocalypse or something. Less violent though. Wouldn't that be awesome? ^_^
Oh, as for everyone's role in the band:
Lupe: Rhythm Guitar, Lead Vocals
Aria: Lead Guitar, Lead/Back-up Vocals
Jessie: Bass Guitar
Jenet: Drums

Rock 'n' Roll!
General | Posted 15 years agoIf you haven't noticed by now (either by my choice of wardrobe for my characters or that my profile indicates this) I am a big rock and metal fan. And I'm on a bit of a high right now having went to a concert last night to see one of my favorite heavy metal bands. If you're familiar with the songs "Rejection Role", "Follow the Hollow" and "Stabbing the Drama" and a lead singer named Speed, then you know who I'm talking about. ;)
(Big hug and a fist bump to anyone who knows these without having to look it up :D)
Anyway, during the concert I couldn't help but think about being a groupie cheering in the crowd right up next to the stage or being in the back with the band.
Soooooo, if anyone likes the idea of seeing Jessie and any of his friends (particularly Aria and Lupe) rocking out at a concert or getting to hang out with the band please feel free to draw them. I'd certainly love to see what you come up with. I can't really offer much in return except maybe some hugs or I can even pay you for it after it's completed, but I won't be able to pay you until Friday and I can't put out more than say...$20. I'm tapped for cash lately, so I can't afford much. XP
Basically, I guess I'm asking for a request from someone without asking directly. Just basically seeing if anyone likes the idea and wants to see it come to life.
And of course if you'd like to see Jessie all tied up it wouldn't be a stretch for him of course. ;)
It would make more sense if he was tied while backstage, but it could also be funny if he was tied during the show. XD

I wanted to wait until I had the nest installment of Furry Fantasy done, which it is! Read it! ^_^
I bought a monitor to use while I save up the money to fix my laptop screen, although this monitor is so nice I might not fix the screen, but I will anyway. XD
Saw Last Airbender and WOW! What a disappointment. Visually it looked good and it had some moments where it shined, but the whole thing looked so rushed and the story didn't develop well nor did the characters and the acting was bad. I swear if I didn't already know what was going on, I wouldn't know what's going on. It was that badly directed. Seriously the potential is all there to be a good movie, M.Night really screwed it up. He really turned out to be a one trick pony. I hope he never makes another movie again! >_<
Although, I hope Nickolodeon tries again with a better director for Book 2. Probably won't happen though. T-T
Although the good thing I did see was the trailer for Rango! :D

General | Posted 15 years ago I broke yet, another laptop! *cries*
I accidentally stepped on the screen after getting up from my bed (I don't have a desk to put my computers) and the shifting of the mattress caused the laptop to fall over and hit the floor just in time for me to loose my balance and bring my foot down on the screen. Its cracked and I can't see anything! I have to go get it fixed or just get a new one. God, I have the worst luck with these things! >_<
I got an estimate and its a little over over $400 to fix and it cost about $600. I would buy a new one, but I'm getting tired of having to set up and find everything I had before. All the pics, music, shows and movies, and of course my writing.
So, for now I won't be on a whole lot. An hour or two a day if possible. Using a friend's computer right now. Will try to work on Furry Fantasy, but the loss of another computer after only a few months is really depressing me.
Anyway, hopefully I won't be without my laptop for too long. A couple weeks probably. *sighs* Guess the means more videogames. =P

First I wat to say that, I totally agree that a desk would be awesome, but if you've seen my room you'd get why that probably wouldn't happen. Even without all the random crap lying around in here, my room still would look like a Japanese dorm room. :P
The external monitor thing is a great idea! I can afford a cheap one at about $100 and use that while I save up to get my screen fixed. ^_^
I also found a way to access my old laptop by using an external keyboard. Trouble is it seems to reset every 5 minutes. So that gives me that much time to try and load some of my videos and files I lost before. This is awesome news because I must have blown at least a couple hundred bucks on memberships and streaming from bondage sites. ;P

I get paid tomorrow, but it still sucks that I won't have my own computer until I get a new one. Anyway, I shouldn't be away long, but it's just really frustrating is all. I may have pretty much lost all the items I had on it. Lots of pics, videos and music and some of my writing too. *sigh* T_T

RPG Characters
General | Posted 15 years agoSo, I've been giving the fantasy theme a lot of thought and I'd like to expand on the characters I've already established and add some more and get a nice sized cast of characters going.
So far I already have:
Jesy - Fox, Cleric/Priest
Arial - Wolf, Rogue/Thief
Jenafur - Fox, Mage/Sorceress
Lupus - Wolf, Fighter/Soldier
So, I'd like a little help in figuring out the next set of characters.
Now, I'm not looking for already established characters, but feel free to send me a note if you have one and I may think about finding a place for them. I mostly want to create new characters by first establishing their race (species), gender and class as a starter I from there I can probably come up with something. I'm willing to accept multiple ideas from each of you, but let's keep it reasonable. ^_^
So, here are a couple of characters I'm thinking of:
-Male Bear Barbarian
-Male Lion Paladin
-Female Skunk Wizard (Witch)
-Female Deer Druid (Shaman)
So, give me your ideas. Here is a list of some classes you can choose from:
-Barbarian: Tribal born brute with primal strength and endurance and a furious spirit, known to go into a berserker rage from time to time
-Paladin: A holy knight granted divine power from the deity they worship, often known to protect the innocent and smite the wicked
-Ranger: Hunters, trackers, nature survivalists and expert fighters, know to often call the forests and wilderness near civilizations their homes and sometimes will travel with an animal companion
-Druid: Lovers and protectors of nature and the natural order or the wilderness, tend to stay away from civilization and live much like the animals they consider to be kindred spirits
-Bard: Minstrels with unique abilities of music, allowing them to inspire allies and bewilder enemies with various status effecting songs and tunes
-Wizard: Spell casters who really upon their knowledge of magic spells and the arcane, unlike sorcerers (who can cast spells naturally) wizards must rely on incantations and sometimes components to cast their spells, but with as much effect as any sorcerer spell and less chance of the spell not working or turning on them

So, I'd like a little help in figuring out the next set of characters.
Now, I'm not looking for already established characters, but feel free to send me a note if you have one and I may think about finding a place for them. I mostly want to create new characters by first establishing their race (species), gender and class as a starter I from there I can probably come up with something. I'm willing to accept multiple ideas from each of you, but let's keep it reasonable. ^_^
So, here are a couple of characters I'm thinking of:
-Male Bear Barbarian
-Male Lion Paladin
-Female Skunk Wizard (Witch)
-Female Deer Druid (Shaman)
So, give me your ideas. Here is a list of some classes you can choose from:
-Barbarian: Tribal born brute with primal strength and endurance and a furious spirit, known to go into a berserker rage from time to time
-Paladin: A holy knight granted divine power from the deity they worship, often known to protect the innocent and smite the wicked
-Ranger: Hunters, trackers, nature survivalists and expert fighters, know to often call the forests and wilderness near civilizations their homes and sometimes will travel with an animal companion
-Druid: Lovers and protectors of nature and the natural order or the wilderness, tend to stay away from civilization and live much like the animals they consider to be kindred spirits
-Bard: Minstrels with unique abilities of music, allowing them to inspire allies and bewilder enemies with various status effecting songs and tunes
-Wizard: Spell casters who really upon their knowledge of magic spells and the arcane, unlike sorcerers (who can cast spells naturally) wizards must rely on incantations and sometimes components to cast their spells, but with as much effect as any sorcerer spell and less chance of the spell not working or turning on them

Deceptive? No really. Not if you know what I was referring to when I said "ME".
As in acronym for MASS EFFECT. :D
Been playing ME2 and really enjoying it. Even though it's kinda the same story, it's still fun. Besides, with ME3 already referenced in this, I get the feeling ME is going to be a continuing series of Shepard trying to end the Reaper threat for good, but I think you can only get away with this for one or two more installments. :P
Anyway, I've been thinking of maybe doing a Mass Effect themed pic or series of pics with some of my characters and since there's SO many playable characters in just ME2 alone, I figure anyone who would want in on this is welcome to. ^_^
I'll be checking with some artists who'd be willing to do this, but if there's anyone who like to take this daunting task on, let me know. As for anyone who wants to pose as any of the characters just chime in. I think it would be best if you send me a note on this to keep from people fighting over who's going to be who. I'll decide who's character I think might fill each role best. And please let me know if you can settle with a different character or characters and who would play them if you don't get your first choice, second choice, etc. I have a feeling there will be a couple roles that might not be very popular. So leave me a list in order of perfered all the characters your character/characters could play and a link to pic of your character or at least a description.

Seriously, it is amazing! I absolutely loved it! The visuals are wonderful and the whole concept of the planet of Pandora and all the life on it was so incredibly thought out. It took Cameron 4 years to bring it all together so it better be. XP
To me it's the greatest movie of all time in terms of the visuals. It's like what Wizard of Oz was when it first came out. It too didn't have a strong story, but the imagination and visuals behind it trumped the story. The same is with Avatar.
Now there's all those comparisons to Dances with Wolves and the inevitable rip of it being "Dances with Smurfs" thanks to South Park. The one time I hate South Park.

For a show that coined "Simpsons did it!" in an episode and pointed out that at some point a story or plot has already been done and that it's no big deal, you'd think they'd be a little more open minded to a movie plot being done again.
Anyway, the plot of the film helps move it along, but what you're really paying attention to is how beautiful this movie is. From the environment to the indigenous population and how amazingly real it all looks, you should at least be thoroughly impressed if not completly blown away. Even the natives looked and felt as real as their real life counter parts. In my opinion, the only way you can not like this movie is if you're really a miserable person or very jaded. There's no way you can get so hung up on the plot or how "preachy" it might be. If you are, I feel very sorry for you because you're really missing out.
And the political message isn't a bad one. To me it doesn't say, go buy a hybrid or something like that. It tells me how important life is on all levels, not just the humanoid. It tells me that greed will make us take more than we need and dry out the gifts our planet has offered us.
All that aside, in terms of entertainment, Avatar offers up quite a bit. I definitely recommend that you see it at least once. ^_^

But I want to see who wants to do a collab pic with Jessie or even Aria and your character. Whether you want to draw them or want to commission someone to draw them, I'm game. I'd be happy to let someone draw either of my characters or to split the price of a commission from an artist of your choice.

General | Posted 16 years agoRegardless of your beliefs about war and soldiers, whether you supported the war or not, do something nice for all the brave men and women of the military. For those who have given much, sometimes too much for our country and it's people, do something kind. Whether or not you think what they fight for is just or right, do something decent.
If you see a veteran today, just say, "Thank you" or "Thanks". Sometimes that's all anyone wants to here.
And if you hate the military, soldiers and/or war so much that that's too much for you to do, then at least don't say or think anything negative. Just for today.
Let's for one day try to feel some love again, what with all the division we've been experiencing lately. We all could use it. ^_^
