General | Posted 2 weeks agoTwo more years and I'll be half a century.
Yikes.
Like every year, I'll be working. No gift for myself this year. Normally I give myself a videogame or Blu ray but this has been a very hard year with many money problems, awful banks and job annoyances. I hope the Holidays are better.
I wish I could skip job and stay all day playing videogames or something. But no can do. Gotta earn the potato.
So happy birthday to moi.

Habemus PC
General | Posted 2 weeks agoFinally got a decent PC!
It's kinda old but very cool. It has an Intel XEON E5520 at 2.27 ghz, 24 GB RAM, and an NVIDIA Quadro 2000 card. It was an old PC that one of my brother's friends used for video editing and my brother tuned it and sold it to me very cheap. It may not run the latest PC games but I can run Photoshop ! :D now to find a cracked version. There's NO way I am paying for a subscription. That's absurd.
Seeing this humongous PC tower at my side with the VGA monitor reminds me of my very first PC twenty years ago, when having all these wires on the back and accesories was awesome haha. I have got used to the practicality of all one in one PC when I got my mac in 2011 and since then. But that's ok. I'll get used to it. What is old is new and what not.
Now gotta download all the software I need.

LOL WTF
General | Posted a month agoI just found out that an artist I have been following for years, almost decades, put me in his block list.
I never talked to him, or had any disagreements of conversation. The only interaction were some comments here and there on his comics mostly things like "that's funny" or "awesome"..things like that. Left a comment in a comic and somehow I am blocked.
I hate people like that dude. I get it if we had a discussion or something, But just like that, it can only means is another dumbass Zoomer with the skin of an onion.
Well that guy is now dead for me.
And go F yourself buddy.

General | Posted 2 months agoA month ago my good old 2011 iMac started to get weird. After trying to figure out how to solve it, and reading many many many MANY pages for fixes, the only solution was to take it to the support shop.
Yeah nope. The last time, it costed me and arm and a leg because there weren't some pieces anymore and it took me some time to recover. Now my financial situation is worse. Sorry cute mac. To the closet you go.
Then I used my dad's old laptop. It's like 10 years old but did the work and could run Photoshop...fine. I really hated the LCD screen. Damn, my iMac's displays was so beautiful..but it did the job.
Welp, yesterday the laptop started to act dumb and couldn't boot up and the screen was all funky. Then it ran into the DELL scan whatever and said that it needed hardware support PRONTO. Sorry, no money for that. To the closet you go.,
Now I am using my also dang old tiny noetbook from 2013. It works...okaish. Good for excel, word and other stuff but PhotoshoP? Heck, I can't even run two yout¿ube tabs wiithout going sluggish! Ergo, Photoshop is a no here.
I have been thinking in getting a new PC by the end of the year. No Mac.But good ol Windows. And seeing that I am in a tiny slow notebook, is now imperative. I guess Metroid Prime 4 has to wait :(
That also means that, until then, no new drawings until I have a rig that can runs photoshop. I can doodle on paper. We'll see.

Twitter, I mean X...whatever
General | Posted 7 months agoI can't believe I am doing this AGAIN but after chatting with a friend I decided to have a twitter/X account....
actually...I already had it but it was only for watching artists and, ahem, other pages <_<;;;
but I decided to use it along furaffinity, specially since FA is kinda dead for now.
here it is: https://x.com/DKfan_1977
Let's see how far I stay there. I left it because the politics was driving me nuts..and still is. But I heard bluesky is worse. Worse than twitter... I never believed that could happen but here we are.
See ya there too amigos

But so what? SW is dead. And even if they hire someone better (It's Disney..so they won't), there's nothing to save. The Goodwill from the masses and the original fans is gone and the "modern audiences" don't give a shit.
Rest in Peace SW. Thanks for the memories and for giving audiences, in one of the darkest decades of the turn of the century, something to dream of.
And go to hell Ms. kennedy. And never come back.

Remembering Dineegla
General | Posted a year agoI found out yesterday that Dineegla passed away.
I never imagined I’d be writing this about Dineegla. It feels surreal to know that he is no longer with us, but I felt like saying something about him. It's a news that caught me out of guard and I know I am not the only one. He touched many people's lives here and in the fandom. He had this incredible ability to light up anybody with his humor, and his kindness touched everyone who was lucky enough to know them.
I remember when I met him here in FA. I loved his photoshop morphs. He was the kind of person that you comment his work and he would reply with a friendly demeanor. We used to exchange notes here and chat over Yahoo messenger and skype. I promised him many times to visit him but could never do that. It seems that will never happen anymore.
Like many friendships that never truly go away, we slowly started to chat less and less. I never stopped caring about him and I wish I got closer to him. Many people had told me about he and MW's kindness and how good friends they were with all the people thet met. The passing of MW was a shock and he always grieved for him.
Rest in peace, dear moosie. I’ll carry your memory with me always, and I hope that wherever you are you find the happiness you deserve.

General | Posted a year agoJoker 2
General | Posted a year agoI haven't seen yet but....is it really that bad?
I liked the first one a lot but I gotta admit, I didn't expect a sequel. They mentioned then that it was a stand alone movie. But of course, there is no such thing as a one freaking billion dollar
stand-alone movie.
I have read nothing but negative reviews and normally that would deter me from watching it. But I have an issue with those reviews:
"Eew is a musical"....Oh FFS! they announced that it was gonna be a musical like 4 years ago and now they act surprised? They had plenty of time to get overthat
"Eew is not the comics joker"...we already know that since the first movie! It was a reinterpretation of the character.
"Eew Lady Gaga"...Oh grow up. 15 years and still with that childish attitude?
They keep saying over and over again that they made it bad on purpose. Yeah they are going to spend 200 million dollars to do that. Come on!
The very few "positive" reviews mention that it is good but unnecessary. That's something everybody agrees. I kinda understand that. I never felt it needed a sequel. It was like a one-shot graphic novel with homages to movies from the 70s and 80s. It was good, well acted and nice winks to the Batman mythos. And that was it.
Hye, that's Hollywoke for you.
I still want to watch it but now I am more weary. In any case, I can't go right now do to money issues. I may go in a couple of weeks...IF is still in theaters <_<

That gummy croc
General | Posted a year agoI have seen so much art of that green yellow crocodile that has the fandom going bananas. I had no idea where it was from until they told me it was from a youtube cartoon series called digital circus.
So I watched it to see that cute croc.
And....yyyyeah I may be getting older but I can't get zoomers' weird/psychopatic/cruel humor.
But I liked the crocs.
Then again I like all crocos :3

Total Eclipse 2024
General | Posted a year agoAll my life, since I was a kid, I have wanted to see a complete solar eclipse.
Today I was finally able to.
Despite the cloudy weather. I could see it without problems.
I tried to take a photo but I couldn't :( damn iphone 7s!
I wonder if I ever see another one. Not here at my hometown. Apparently, we won't have another here in 300 years! But maybe in another part of Mexico..or the world?

No porn no more
General | Posted a year agoOh! so you have decided to stop watching porn at last?! :D
What? NO! How dare ya?!
No I have been thinking and I think I'll stop drawing sexuality explicit drawings. a.k.a Porn.
Why? because let's face it, I suck at drawing them.
I have always struggled with having the poses right or capturing the raunchiness. It never ends up as I wanted and I had to cheat and end up dissappointed.
I never felt happy but everybody loved them so I kept doing them. Yes, I did it because of the attention it got. I thought it was harmless but I was just fooling myself.
That's one of the reason why I stopped drawing for a long period. I felt like a fraud..and I was.
This is the last picture https://www.furaffinity.net/view/53278418/ and I don't like it. Heck, I have been thinking in taking it down.
I always felt happier when I did a comic or a drawing or even some nudes and pin ups with all its flaws but without cheating, You can see the mistakes but I end up feeling better.
That's why all the drawings I have done lately I use references but I draw them on paper first. And I like them. Not as great as I expected but more honest.
And there are much more better porn artists out there that do great work with poses and sexyness and all that smut stuff I have never been able to capture correctly.
Maybe some day I'll give it a try and see what happens. But who knows when that will be.

General | Posted 2 years agoToday was my 46 birthday.
4 more years and I'll be 50. Geez.
I didn't do anything today. But on saturday we had a small reunion with relatives where we celebrated both my birthday and my mom's. Her Bday is in the 17th and mine on the 20th. Of course, all the attention was focused on her. But that's normal. We men doesn't exist until they want us to fight a war or fix something.
Still, we had some fun.
I didn't get me a birdthay gift for myself because I am trying to cut my expenses for the next two months, Maybe in January or february I'll get Super Mario RPG.

“To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize,”
My point still stands.

So, The Super Mario Movie
General | Posted 2 years agoI honestly had low expectations because I don't like Illumination Studios' works. I only wanted to watch it because of my sweet D.K.
But surprisingly, the rest of the movie was pretty good. Better than I expected.
I loved what they did with Donkey Kong and the gang. I liked how they shown Bowser's pathetic love for Peach. The story is not that great and very predictable (mostly) but the huge ammount of references and fan service was delightful. Everybody applauded when the movie ended. I wouldn't go that far, but the movie gave what it promised and did a great job overall.
I'll give it 8 DK jumpin' pecs out of 10

RIP (maybe?) iMac
General | Posted 3 years agoA few weeks ago my Mac started to act weird. I was working and suddenly it reseted. And again. And again <_< it stuck at the apple screen and never moved forward. Because of the holidays, I didn't have time to take it for revision. The place where they fix Apple things is very far from where I live.
I took it last Friday and today they called me. They opened and it was full of dirt! The lady that attended me asked me when was the last time I took it for maintenance.
"Uh, I never gave it maintenance" <_<
She gave me a look of "well shit"
She said that my model of Mac (2011) was one of the last ones made under the supervision of Steve Jobs before he passed away and that they rarely if ever malfunction, unlike the newest ones which are very fragile.
Anyway...they told me that the dirt burned some circuits and the reparation will cost me...around 350 dollars!
I was like "WHAT THE FUCK?!"...Of course I didn't tell her that but HOLY SHIT! 350 dollars?!
I told her that forget about it. I don't have that money...and god knows when I will have such amount. I'll told her that I'll pick it up on Monday.
I mean, I knew it was going to happen someday. It is like 12 years old. It worked fine for a looong time. It was stupid of me for never taking it for maintenance but it never gave me problems for over 10 years. It was inevitable. It was a great decade of Mac lovin' but everything comes to an end...
...or maybe not? She told me that they can divide the amount in 6 bi-weekly payments which is much easier to pay.
I told her I'll think about it.
I doubt I'll get a Mac again. They are much more expensive than before and, since Jobs passed away, the company has dropped in quality. At least with PC's.
Right now I am using my mom's laptop, wjich was my dad's before. She said that I can use it as long as I need it, specially since I'll start teaching online soon. And is a great laptop. But I loved my mac u_u

45
General | Posted 3 years agoToday…actually yesterday <_< on November 20th, 2022 I turned 45 years.
5 more years and I’ll be 50.
It’s funny but I don’t feel 45. I feel the same dude in 2012, 2002, and…Ok, not 1992. But I mean that I still feel young.
But I am not. There are many things that remind me of that small issue.
I used to love riding the bus to work/school. Now I kinda hate it.
I used to have a more liberal mentality. Lately, I am siding more and more with conservatives. Yikes.
I could have 3 big meals a day. Now I barely can have two.
I can’t stand modern music or modern movies. I watch and listen to movies and music from the 2000s and backward.
I still love video games, but they don’t amaze me as they did.
I don’t have a secure job. I have been divided into many classes all around and by the end of the day, I feel tired and annoyed.
Every day I have to shoot insulin.
I need to take painkillers for my back every day.
I have to many debts.
I have been in the closet all my life and too scared to get out of it.
My father is dead. My aunt is dead. My mom is getting older.
Somehow I don’t feel like a grown man but like an insecure kid.
I guess in retrospect is not THAT bad. Could be worse.
Oh well. Happy birthday to me.

Super Mario movie trailer
General | Posted 3 years agoYeah I'v see it but haven't talked about it. some quick thoughts:
I loved seeing Bowser being badass and scary. Like in the late 80s when his world was literally Hell with tanks, skulls, and all that before Super Mario World turned him into a clown living in Las Vegas.
They are going with the classic storyline from the original game. Mario is from the earth and arrives at Mushroom Kingdom through a pipe. Like Alice in Wonderland. Awesome! I never liked the retconning of making him a superman from Mushroom Kingdom. I like the "blue-collar man arrives at a strange world and becomes a hero". Like John Carter or Flash Gordon.
The voices were pretty cool. Obviously, Jack Black's voice is being modified, but still sounds good. Chris Pratt just said one line, but it was cool too. No castratti voice here. Just a normal guy in an extraordinary world.
I still want to see how they handled Donkey Kong which will be in the movie. But I won't hold my breath. I bet they will show him for like 5 minutes and that's it.
So yeah, I'm pumped. Will I watch it in theaters? We'll see.

Remembering Musclewolf
General | Posted 3 years agoI found out about the Furry Fandom in 2001. I ran into some very cool anthropomorphic drawings and I liked them. The more I search for them, the more interested I got.
One of the first works of art I remember liking and even using as wallpaper on my brand new PC was an image of a big, buff Bison holding a bow over his head. I thought it was goddamn awesome..and sexy too.
That art was made by an artist named Musclewolf.
He was the first artist whose website I visited many times, before Furaffinity or even Deviant art. I think it was a Geocities-like service, but I can't remember the name. In any case, his work was amazing and it was the beginning of a huge journey into the fandom.
The finding of his death was very sad and also melancholic. I remember commenting on his work here and even chatting with him a few times and he was kind and funny. He never got into drama like many other anthro artists here. It has been more than 20 years since then.
Thanks, Musclewolf for introducing me to the fandom with your art. I know I am not the only one. Farewell, and we'll never forget you.
One of the first works of art I remember liking and even using as wallpaper on my brand new PC was an image of a big, buff Bison holding a bow over his head. I thought it was goddamn awesome..and sexy too.
That art was made by an artist named Musclewolf.

So I started Persona 5
General | Posted 4 years agoI got that game cheap like 5 months ago and I started to play it last week.
I like when I am in the palaces, kicking ass and stealing treasures and all. I like that the fights are REALLY turn-based and not that they are attacking you while you are thinking what to do.
Not having that much freedom is a bit annoying but I don't mind. It feels like I am reading an interactive manga. Doesn't drive me nuts but I don't dislike it either.
But most of the time I just keep pushing the X button to move on. I counted like AN HOUR of just talking and "bonding" and all that stuff. Speaking of which..
I don't like the social simulation crap. Which Jesus is TOO MUCH. Oh neat I have to bond with the asshole caretaker that treats me like shit because of course.
The story is interesting. I like that is not "destroy the evil dude that wants to take over the world" but more like defeat the evil within people. Corny but different.
Anyway...I researched and it seems the game lasts 100 hours for only the main story and I only have like 8. yikes.
Let's see how far I get. I have decided to not get tired by games when they feel like a chore.

Covid has entered
General | Posted 4 years agoUPDATE: Got tested and I am positive. Just fucking great.
My mom has been feeling like having a cold a few days ago and tomorrow she had a test. She was positive.
So she is now in her bedroom taking medicine and feeling like shit. She got fever last night and got scared but she is better now.
At least as best as she can feel with that shit inside her.
Oh, and I have been with a sore throat for days...
Of course, I'll get tested tomorrow (I have to make an appointment and they were all full) but I am pretty sure I have it.
I called school and so far I am doing my classes online. But I don't know what will happen if I get positive.
And is freaking cold outside.
The thing that gives me relief is that both my mom and I are vaccinated and got our booster shot last week.
But still, it sucks.
But it was meant to happen. Everybody I know around has cold or something like that. A family of relatives, they all have it. My brother has a cold. A neighbor got tested and she was positive too. Everybody is having covid tests so you know it will get worse before it gets better.
Seriously, when we will have a start of the year without some crap like this?

Bye 2021, hello 2022
General | Posted 4 years agoForgot to wish you everybody a Great 2022. I hope this year has more good things than bad because JESUS CHRIST ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
Personally, it seems that my family and I never had a break starting in 2017 with my aunt's death, then 2019 with my dad's passing, 2020 with the fucking COVID shit and unemployment, and 2021 with all my family having some sort of sickness or something and the death of a cousin ...I mean, damn.
At least I got a job last fall. And it seems that my brother is finally having a job soon.
Anyway...
Last year I focused in playing games from ly long backlog. I realized that I had games from 2018 that for some reason or another I never played. You can check that list in my blog here: https://bobthebuffalo.wordpress.com.....f-the-backlog/
Last week I returned to movie theaters to watch Spiderman no way home. Loved that movie. I enjoyed these new Spiderman movies but I never liked that the character was way too attached to the Avengers. In this movie, they returned his independence. And the conclusion of the past series was awesome. But I won't return to theaters in a long time. Until March to see Batman. I am still taking care of the idiotic neverending pandemic. I got my shots and all but still.
