OOO-74 reuploaded
General | Posted 3 years agoBecause of a glitch with a browser extension that I didn't catch until after posting this and another audio story chapter, the thumbnails were not appearing properly on either submission. I could have let this go, but it bugged me enough that I needed to fix it. I have since removed the browser extension that was causing the issue (which I was only using because it allowed me to see when someone posted a new submission on FA, even if I wasn't actually on that page), but, to fix the problem, I had to reupload the two submissions that I had put up since it was first installed, which I've now done.
Update...
General | Posted 3 years agoJust got off the phone. The papers for me to start the appeal process are being mailed to me (EDIT: I forgot to mention: I was told it's going to take FIFTEEN days for the appeal paperwork to get to me!), and my local office (which isn't really local, it's about 2 hours away) is going to send me a list of some possible representatives for it. Whether I'll use one of theirs or find my own will depend on what's offered, I suppose.
I did discover, however that, beyond my benefit stop date as indicated by the letter that was sent to me, (2/28/23) the only way to continue my benefits, even during the appeal, is either send a letter to or visit the above mentioned office within the next 15 days. The problem there is if I do it, and it's determined I've LOST the appeal, I would have to pay back every cent of what's been given to me. And, with no way to make money otherwise, I'm not exactly sure how I would do that in the first place, so I think my only option there is to just let my benefits drop. I just have to pray thing get handled, with a positive outcome, before that point. I'd rather not risk putting myself in debt trying to save my SSI. The last thing I need after losing my SSI is to also owe money, so yeah, if things don't work out before the end of March, that's it.
Anyway, my next step, as it currently stands, it to get those appeal papers signed and send them in, so I can get things started. I just have to hope and pray I get lucky enough that things work out for me.

I have (more than likely) lost my SSI. :(
General | Posted 3 years agoI woke up to find that I had a letter in the mail today. After opening it, I discovered that, after all those tests I did a while back, and not hearing anything back from them about any of it since, that they have apparently determined that my health has improved, and that I no longer qualify for SSI. This is 100% inaccurate. I still have issues with my back and, not to mention, I JUST HAD BRAIN SURGERY LAST YEAR! How they can look at that and determine my health has improved is beyond me.
After reading that, came very close to an anxiety/panic attack. I didn't even read the whole letter at the time because of how freaked out it made me. I gave the letter to Henry and started freaking out. I really don't know what I'm going to do if I lose my SSI. The letter does state that I have ten days to call them to get this form I need to start the appeal process, though why they didn't send it with the letter is beyond me. I plan on calling them Monday morning to get that taken care of. From what Henry relayed to me, I won't lose my benefits during the time of the appeal process, but, if this doesn't work out well for me, I'm going to lose my SSI.
Henry and Steve have both said they aren't going to kick me out over this, and I 100% believe that, but my worry involves my other bills, specifically my cell phone and Hunter's monthly Banfield Wellness Plan bill along with his dog food. The phone I could live without, as annoying as it would be, but I would need to find some other way to come up with the money for Hunter's bill and food, because the alternative is giving him up and, given that he's an elder dog AND a member of my family, that's just not something I am willing to do.
I don't have to worry about that for at least sixty days beyond when I start the appeal, but the thought of losing my SSI, and not being able to take care of myself because my condition makes it hard to get a job terrifies me. Not only that, but, even if I COULD work, because of the area we live in, it's a 40 minute drive into town for any type of business I could even get a job at anyway, and another 40 minute drive back, which, since I can't even drive, ALSO means inconveniencing Henry, the only driver of the house, on top of everything else. So I'd likely lose any money I made on the job just in gas money to get to and from work. Henry gets Social Security, and Steve does stuff from home, so neither of them needs to leave the house for their incomes.
This terrifies me. I have roughly two months before I'll need to worry about it, but, if this doesn't get resolved, I'm going to lose my SSI and I'll have no way to take care of my personal stuff.

A note about the next song for OOO
General | Posted 3 years agoThe song for the next chapter is one I completed several years ago, and it has been up ever since. I did it knowing I'd be using it for this arc, and it's finally time to use it. For anyone who wants to know what's coming, the song for the next chapter is here.
RIP Jason David Frank
General | Posted 3 years agoAnyone who knows Power Rangers likely knows JDF, who played Tommi Oliver in multiple seasons throughout the series. I just learned today that, as of yesterday, he committed suicide. From the original series, he was one of my two favorite actors, so hearing this really hurts. I'm sad to know that such a great actor is gone. First Thuy Trang, and now JDF... I was not expecting HIM to be the next of the original actors to go. :(
A decision I've made RE: My audio stories
General | Posted 3 years agoI've been doing some thinking, and I've finally come to a decision on something that's been weighing on my mind for a while now.
Starting with January of the new year, I'm going to be focusing more on On Our Own than on Arturos Academy. This isn't because I can't handle doing both. in fact, the way I usually handle things, that's been relatively easy to do. It's more because I really want to get through the current arc of On Our Own. I've been plotting that for so long, but, if I keep to the schedule I was already doing, it could be several more years before I actually finish it. The arc that's going on now it something I've been looking forward to since the day I first started the story all the way back in 2014, and I've decided that I want to focus on the arc, because I want to get it done. I COULD just increase my workload, but, with the other stuff I've been doing in my life lately, that would only lead to me stressing myself out, which I don't really want.
So, that being said, here's my plan for the rest of this year, and for the entirety of 2023:
2022:
- Finish the current song/chapter of On Our Own that I'm working on. The song has already been recorded, and I already have the script written.
- Finish one more chapter of Arturos Academy of Awakening. I'll be working on the script for that chapter shortly after I complete work with the OOO chapter.
- Finish the current episode of TBP:SC that I'm working on at the time of writing this journal, as well as possibly one more next month.
2023:
- Finish the remainder of the current arc of OOO. If my planning works out the way I'd like it to, I will have it complete by the end of the year.
- Write and record more episodes of TBP:SC. These are smaller projects, in comparison to the other two audio stories, so working on them isn't as tedious for me.
- If I complete a month's chapter for OOO early enough in the month, and feel up to it, work on a new chapter of AAA. These won't be guaranteed to happen. They'll only be done if I feel I have the time after the other two.
- When Halloween eventually rolls around, as per usual, I'll be doing a new Creepypasta. Which one has yet to be determined, but I fully intend to keep up my self-imposed tradition.
So, yeah... Those are my plans for the foreseeable future. Hopefully, you guys will enjoy what you end up hearing as the arc gets finished.

Creepypasta: Sonic.exe & other Halloween videos!
General | Posted 3 years agoIt took me most of the month to do it, but I'm really proud of how this year's creepypasta turned out. I had to do some editing and and altering a few words here and there, due to certain parts of the original story not sounding right, but this year's creepypasta is ready to go. I hope you guys enjoy!
https://youtu.be/-egJeFIJ2hI
I also downloaded and played the fanmade rom of the creepypasta, so, if anyone wants to check that out, you can watch that too:
https://youtu.be/cGLsKTBFNV4
With those done, I also wanted to share something else I did this month. Amongst all the Let's Play recording I did throughout the month, I decided to do a speedrun of a game that I had done on my old channel. Goosebumps: The Game. Back then, the speedrun guide I had found was actually geared more toward helping players to gain all the PS4 achievements, and thus required playing through it three times to do so. Since then, I had found an actual speedrun guide of the game and decided to record myself doing it.
For those that want to watch it, here's a video for that as well. I donb't consider myself a pro at it, and, in fact, the speedruns I've seen of it do this much faster than I did, but I'm still proud of the attempt:
https://youtu.be/Wkias0vY2mg
Last, but not least, I have a casual playthrough of the speedrun. This one I did for anyone that wants to see what I actually did during the speedrun at a slower pace, without having to repeatedly pause the video and rewind it just to see what I did. Here's the video for that one:
https://youtu.be/TdxrSh07o-s
So yeah, there you have it. there's everything I got done for Halloween this year. I didn't have time to do the song I planned to do for Halloween, but I may still do it sometime soon anyway, simply because it's an earworm and I can't get those out of my head in case I actually do covers of them. All I'll say about the song is it's one that, for those that know me well enough, you're going to be surprised to see I did a cover of it at all.
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy. Happy Halloween!

Creepypasta: Pokemon Creepy Black
General | Posted 3 years agoAnother of my favorites. This is the one I released last year.
https://youtu.be/zW7gx-wPqEI
Next week will be Halloween, which means the release of this year's Creepypasta. And since I've already shared what one it will be with a few others, I'll also share it here.
This year's Creepypasta is going to be Sonic.exe. This has taken most of the month to put together, because of how long the story is, and because of all the different medical stuff I had to deal with.
This has been the most effort I've put into one of these since Ben Drowned, but, hopefully, you guys will enjoy it.
Sadly, I won't have the time to do the song I was going to do in time for Halloween. I'll probably still do it, but it will just come at a later time.

What to expect from me during October
General | Posted 3 years agoFor those that are new to watching me that don't know this yet, every October, I take a break from my usual audio story work to focus on a Halloween project that I usually release on my YouTube channel. This project comes in the form of a Creepypasta reading, done in character, sometimes with additional visuals or extra voices to aid the story when needed. Because of the work involved in doing this, I spend the full month away from other audio story projects, so I'm not overburdening myself. This means that there will be no On Our Own, Arturos Academy of Awakening or Bobby Parable this month.
HOWEVER, because of my old channel having been shut down a few months ago, I decided that, along with the new Creepypasta I'll be doing, I'll also be releasing one of the old Creepypastas I've done, every Monday leading up to Halloween itself. Seeing as it's Monday today, the very first Creepypasta I ever did is now available for viewing, both for those that have seen it in the past, and for anyone new. The first one I did was my all-time favorite: Ben Drowned, which you can watch here: https://youtu.be/slbvtaz_u2Y
The creepypasta won't be the only thing released on Halloween either. I've already recorded myself doing a speedrun of a Halloween-themed game, which I had done on my old channel as well, but, back then, the one I did was more structured in a way for PS4 players to get all in game achievements. I've since found the actual speedrun guide, and did both an actual speedrun of the game as well as a casual playthrough of the speedrun so people can actually see what it was I was doing during the speedrun without needing to pause the video every few seconds.
The last thing that I'll be doing is more dependent on how long it takes me to finish my Creepypasta project. If I can get it done in a decent amount of time, I'll also be doing a cover of a song that, once people eventually hear what it is, will probably surprise more than a few people, given that where the song is inspired from is a game that scares the hell out of me.
So yeah, that's pretty much what you guys will have to look forward to from me. Hopefully you enjoy what's coming!

Porcupine Passions 2 is 10 years old today!
General | Posted 3 years agoTen years ago today, the first chapter of Porcupine Passions 2 was released. Even now, ten years later, I still look back on the start of it and smile. I loved the poems that were made up during the chapters just as much as the chapters and songs that got used in. To this day, I still feel proud of myself for surprising
maxgoof when I was able to complete the challenge he gave me for the final chapter poem: making each line spoken by a different character AND having the line be relevant to the character that spoke it while still keeping to my pattern of the first letter of each line spelling out a nine letter word or phrase.

General | Posted 3 years agoI've always been a Digimon fan, but, in the last couple months, thanks, in part, to
david31, I've taken an interest in learning the Digimon Card Game. I've bought a decent amount of cards for a deck I've been working on building. As it stands though, David is the only one I know that plays it, which is, of course, obvious, seeing as how he's the reason I began collecting the cards. I'm curious to know, though, if any of you play it as well. I'd love to be able to play with others if anyone else plays it too.

General | Posted 3 years agoBecause Chapter 15 took me so little time to edit, I decided to go back to an earlier chapter and fix a glaring issue that had been bugging me for a while that I never made time to fix. Throughout most of chapter 2, the pacing of the conversation was WAY too fast, especially in the latter half of it. I have now corrected that. Nothing new has been added, but the conversation flows much more smoothly now. If you want to listen for yourself, you can check it out here.

Heads up Re: Changes to a character in Arturos Academy
General | Posted 3 years agoI've given this a lot of thought, and I've decided I'm going to be altering one of the characters in Arturos Academy a little bit. Specifically, I'll be making some changes to the character Noah Langston, aka the Australian kangaroo that considers Ravi his best mate. There are a few reasons for this. The biggest one is, despite the fact I thought I could do it well enough, I don't like the accent I gave him. Trying to maintain the accent I was using was a lot harder than I thought it would be. There's also the fact that, despite my best efforts at understanding Australian slang, it feels a bit too weird for me, and, since I already have trouble trying to pull off the accent, I think I'd sound even more fake trying to use the Australian slang when I barely understand it.
What does this mean exactly? Well, I'm still going to leave him as a kangaroo, but I'll be changing the voice I used for him to something I can do a bit easier. This is also going to mean a few of the previously completed chapters are going to be re-recorded with the new voice, and, in some cases, new dialogue. The ones that will be affected would be Chapter 12: Aural Guidance, Chapter 15: The Guidance of Friendship and Chapter 16: Revealing a Mystery.
I probably could just keep things as they are, and practice the accent/slang more so I could get it down, but, even though I'd be trying my best not to offend any Australians with my poor attempts at it, there would always be the worry in the back of my mind that someone would come across it and get on my case about it. Yes, it's probably really unlikely to happen, but this is just me being paranoid.
So, yeah, I'll be doing another chapter soon, which may or may not include the new voice for Noah. I haven't written the script yet, so I don't know at the moment. But whether or not he's in the next chapter, next month will be partially spent going back to the above mentioned chapters and putting the new voice in. I'll likely make another journal when that's done, so you guys can give the revised chapters another listen.

A totally goofy feeling...
General | Posted 3 years agoI woke up today with a very strange feeling that I, at first, couldn't place. While I was taking a shower, though, something popped into my head.
I had posted a fanfiction/script of my idea for a sequel to An Extremely Goofy Movie over on FanFiction.net a long time ago, which I called "A Totally Goofy Movie". This was a HUGE script I wrote that took place as Max was nearing the end of his time in college, involving him dealing with a new bunch of transfer students at the college that try to make trouble for him. As completely stupid as it's going to sound, even though I knew I never actually would do it, I wrote it in script form, going on the idea that it would be funny to actually send it to Disney one day. Mind you I never did, nor did I ever even actually try to do so, because I knew it would never actually go anywhere, but that WAS the reason I wrote it as a script. This also included a Goof Troop fanfiction/script, entitled "Zimmer Down" where Max and PJ meet Bobby for the first time (meaning Robert Zimmeruski from the movies, not my character).
Why does this matter? Because, as it turns out, it was 18 years ago TODAY that I posted that script over on FanFiction.net. That wasn't the date that I originally wrote it, but it was the day I made script publicly readable. I have no idea why it was today that my brain decided it wanted to remember the anniversary of the day I posted it, but yeah, that's what happened.
If anyone is curious to read it, you can check it out here. Just a warning, though... This is a LONG read. You'll either want to read it in spurts or else be prepared to sit there for a while. Also, in the script, I gave the Barret Girl (PJ's girlfriend in EGM) the name Kathy. This was written back before I learned her name was Mocha, but that's who I'm referring to with that name. Any other unrecognized names are my own creation.
Side note: The other two stories that are on the account are stories I abandoned writing because I lost motivation to write back then, so they never ended up getting completed. The one linked here in the journal is the only one that is complete.

A question to anyone who uses itch.io for games/vn's
General | Posted 3 years agoThis has been bugging me for months, and yet, despite many attempts to get assistance from the admins AND many attempts to reach out for help on their forums, I've not gotten any responses back, so I'm gonna try posting a journal here to see if someone here can assist me with this issue.
Itch.io used to send out e-mails whenever a creator I was watching there made a new version to their visual novel/game. That way, whenever something new came out, it was easy to keep things up to date. Unfortunately though, for me, these e-mails stopped happening sometime around six months or so ago. I've done no changes to any of my settings that would stop the e-mails from coming in, and itch.io is NOT blacklisted on my e-mail. In fact, I have a filter on my e-mail so they are sent directly to a specific folder.
It's not a matter of the creators not updating things either, because the creators I watch there put stuff out once a month. Despite this, for the last six months or so now, I've been stuck having to manually go to my itch.io feed every week or so just to make sure I didn't miss anything. I've missed updates multiple times because of me no longer getting e-mail notifications.
If anyone can help me and tell me what's wrong here, I'd greatly appreciate it. Here is what my email settings area looks like right now. Again, my settings have ALWAYS been this way, and I've never changed them, so I don't understand the issue, but if something new has been added elsewhere on itch.io that now controls whether or not the update e-mails show up, it definitely isn't here.

To anyone that has played the original Stanley Parable
General | Posted 3 years agoOf the different endings in the original game, what was your favorite ending? I'm contemplating which ending I should do a parody of next for The Bobby Parable: Super Compact, and I want to parody a few of the original endings before I start doing the newer ones, so I figured I would ask and see what opinions you guys had on some of them.
Medical situation update
General | Posted 3 years agoI'm specifically making a journal posting a link to the update video I did for the last month because it covers a couple different things that I wanted to make sure my friends here found out, just in case they weren't watching me on YouTube. This consists of an update on my roommate Henry's medical situation, as well as a couple personal medical-related matters. To anyone curious, here's the link to the vid:

The Bobby Parable: Super Compact!
General | Posted 3 years agoFor anyone interested. the intro chapter is now available here.
Each episode in this series will cover a parodied version of one of the routes that can be found within the original game. Please note, however, that this is a just for fun project, and I'll be doing these at my own discretion, as I feel up to them. I already have several ideas, but it may take time for me to do each one.

The Bobby Parable intro written!
General | Posted 3 years agoI've decided I'm using The Bobby Parable as the title, simply because it meant to be a parody of The Stanley Parable.
In any case, I just finished writing up the intro for it. By intro, I mean my version of what you'd hear from the opening video if you started a new game. I'll probably be recording it sometime in the next day or so, since there isn't much to it. I just need to record the script and add in the background music.
From there, the next episode I'll work on (when I decide to write it) will likely be my version of the true ending path, aka the "Freedom" ending. That will take a bit longer to do, and I might not start on that one for a while. this is just something silly I'm working on when I'm bored after all.
I initially considered the idea of approaching this a different way. Rather than doing full audios of "Bobby" doing an entire run of a given path, I also considered, instead, spending a longer period of time writing, and getting EVERYTHING written out first, and individually recording and uploading each "choice" segment. What I would do then is I would leave, in the description of each video, links to the audio segments that correspond to the choices "Bobby" would make at that point. Basically, I'd be turning this into a 'choose your own adventure" style story, similar to how The Stanley Parable actually plays out. In effect, letting YOU GUYS decide how you want the story to go.
Example: Coming to a set of two open doors, he entered the door on his left: <--- This audio would then have links to the audio clips that correspond to the audio you would hear based on the two doors, with choices for them being made as separate audio clips themselves.
I decided against this, however, because it would mean making multiple back to back tiny uploads (It could easily end up being around a hundred of them) and having to go into each and every one of them after everything is done, and edit them to include links to the proper places. As fun as the idea of turning this into a CYOA would have been, I don't think FA would appreciate that.
Anyway, yeah, I'll be working on the intro in the next few days. Hopefully you guys enjoy what you hear.

The Porcupine Parable
General | Posted 3 years agoBack in 2015, I had this image done. I'm a fan of The Stanley Parable, so the name and description in that image reflected that.
In the last couple days, I've recorded a few episodes of the new version of the game, called "The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe" which is being released, one part at a time, on days outside of my usual recording schedule. The first was released yesterday, the second will be released on Monday, the third on Wednesday and the final part on Friday.
What's the point of these two bits of information? Well, while I was recording the above mentioned episodes, my mind went back to that picture, and I started mentally getting ideas in my head of ways I could take the various endings and, by altering the dialogues from the Narrator to make sense for Bobby, make my own version of the different paths. These would only be in audio form, similar to how I've been doing On Our Own and Arturos Academy of Awakening, but, as a matter of curiosity, if I were to do something like that, would you guys be interested in that? I'd take the various paths/endings of the game and make them relevant to Bobby and his life. Mind you this is something that wouldn't have a set schedule, and would be more of a just for fun idea, but, since the idea started floating around in my head, I wanted to see what you guys thought.
