I am aware that I am still in need of finishing three pictures.

I had a bit of RL drama happen last week, combined with work this week, and I've had no motivation to finish these pieces.

But I promise you I'll have them done.

Many artists have a style, and sometimes you can actually see who influenced them or where they get their style of art from.

But what does my art look like?

I know who's art I love to reference, but I'm curious who's art mine looks like.

Wow, I never use my journals anymore huh..

Been a while since I really used these, and I owe that blame to twitter for allowing me to express my thoughts in text much easier than post them here, I get more attention and replies on twitter.

So I am actually Jobless!
and while I lazily look for work ( AKA not really trying)
I am drawing art here and there for money on the side.
which isn't really something I should rely on.

Aside from the joblessness I have been addicted to Fallout 3 and taking my time playing it, because I seem to enjoy it a little too much.

But other than that.. nothing else going on in my uneventful meh life.

Had Megaplex last week, I never really bothered to write up a post con report, because I didn't feel like bragging about something I didn't feel like I deserved, specially since most of my friends covered my expenses, and I just showed up and had a good time!

Seems I had an influx of watchers.
Ok, which one of you popular folks mentioned me somewhere =O

So..
With me losing my main job as a lawn service helper, I have no income.
and with no job history for nearly 6 years, it's going to be tough to find work.

In the meantime both and I are open for Commissions!
I offer traditional badges, and sketches, and will basically draw anything within my skill.

Sila on the other hand is a bit broader, offering more digital based art and services.
She can also Texture things in Second life, and do Logos in Photoshop. among many things!

It can't hurt to ask!

We really need money, and I can't feel right asking for handouts.
This community has given me so much already ;_;

IMVU is a sad knock off of Second life but if they have something to offer I'll be happy to see it!

I cannot stand the layout of IB/Weasyl It just bugs me.
and I can't be assed to transition to another site, it's just a whole lot of stress I don't need.

In other news, I managed to ask a local fur who had recently (within the last year) moved to state and started a new life here.
I managed to meet him and his husband, and then later asked him to be my daddy.
to which he took with great excitement!
So, I guess I am no longer an orphan, and Bobkitty can wave goodbye to his friends in the daycare, and go on to a new chapter in his life!
I am suuuper excited to for the first time in my life, actually be taken care of by an actual caretaker daddy figure, and treated like a son.
It's got me a little nervous too >.>;;;
It's incredibly hard for me to give somebody that much trust, and at the same time not be afraid of stepping on Sila's toes. I am a loyal kitten.

I guess that's all i have to share for now!

This might earn me some enemies, and I am sorry.
This is completely open to debate so feel free to rip my spine out if I piss you off.

I hate when I see an artist open a commission of a character in a pose, and then draw 10 people in the same exact pose, with minor changes to the linework and a recolor..

To me, all art is original, each person deserves a unique picture of their own.
I feel a picture loses a sentimental value, when you and 10 others have that same exact pose.

"Guys look how cute I look with my butt in the air!"
"Oh that's nice, I got the same thing last week it's not that new"

Look, I understand the benefits of it on the artists side, I have seen a few artists do commissions like this to help pay medical bills, or because their pet needed surgery..

But I can't see myself taking part of it, I just can't draw the same two people in the same exact situation.
I'll feel cheap, and feel like I've cheated the commissioner out of something personal and unique.

I'd feel better if I just donated to the cause, and got a cute little doodle of me being silly.
I hold no high expectations of artists I commission, part in reason I've kept the same simple fursona I've had since I actively participated in this community for over 8 freakin years..

Now to defend myself.

I hold no grudge to artists who do these sort of commissions, because like I stated above, I understand the good of it.
I just can't stand how unoriginal it is =c
Most of you guys who do them are incredibly talented, and deserve every single penny they recieve.

But this does not distract from how I lose interest in a picture, when I've seen the same thing done 20 times over with everyone else ._.;

LEGS .. Seriously Legs are stupid hard for me to draw without having to look at a pose for ref.

Any pose without having to look at a picture to copy the pose from..


And you guys wonder why I am so scared to take commissions ._.;

I think of this as a list of Goals..
Something I've come up with after a shitty year, and learning so much.
Some stuff to take this new year and kick some major ass..

● Color more art!
● Actually start taking commissions.
● Write more intricate and complex music patterns to keep it interesting.
● Stop being jealous of all the other artists I admire.
● Seriously... draw more.. Draw everything.. draw stupid stuff.. stop being so serious.
● Get the hell out of Sila's moms house, or eventually take steps toward doing so.
● Keep my Cougar running another year.
● Stop taking life so seriously.

I got one for Christmas!

And of course I got it booted up and i am using it currently to make this journal!
I am overrun with ideas on what I should do with it.

But for now I'll just probably use it to watch stuff on the living room TV till I can learn how to do more advanced stuff, and or acquire the hardware.

So I did a thing and filled out my commission info.
This doesn't mean I am open to them.. well it might, but I am still soo scared of taking a legit commission!

These are basically prices I feel might be reasonable if I was to ever put a price to my art.
whether you feel it's too much or too little, is your opinion =P

Either way I am still nervous asking for money.

During the database maintenance I received a rather random note literally saying "Hi"
Besides the rather redundancy of noting me just to say HI..
I was left with a Note notification that will not go away..

Normally when you get a note, and you click the notification and read said not, it goes away.
But this did not.

I assumed it would fix itself when the database was finally done being updated.

I sent in a trouble ticket, but have not received word about it yet.
I relogged, I cleared cache, I tried everything I know.
It won't go away, and it's confusing because I always think I have a note..
I keep thinking it may have fixed itself and somebody noted me..
But this is not the case..
