ScareFest Report, Details and Extras
General | Posted 16 years agoFriday: Headed over to the convention center where it was being held at to pick up our passes. Waited for the gate to open, Meanwhile Nick was walking around. When it finally opened, me and my family followed him (like the stalkers we are XD) and chatted with him. We ask him some stupid stuff and some curious stuff. Right there we became friends (Whenever we saw him, we would wave at each other LOL) Went to the GA panel. Then we prepared for the costume ball. It was more like a freak show. I was expecting dancing and cool music... but no. Everyone was a wallflower and the DJs had sucky music. Oh, and the only werewolf there was a dummy. He had a poor howl. It made me sad. It ended in failure DX
Saturday was the most busiest day. We went to the GA signing session, got some pics. They are the nicest guys you will ever meet. Went to their panel again, but this time I won the raffle and they stayed to call out numbers and give out prizes. I got their first season on DVD. And they recognized me, which was surprising :B Later on, we got one of those "aura" photos. Mine was mostly red with some hints of orange and white lines, some squiggly ones that intrigued the people running the booth. I was really caught off guard when the lady said that I can see angels dancing around me. Because I really do see dancing little lights whenever I look at the sky. I know, sounds weird.
Then that night, we went to Chip Coffey's session. He was really nice when we met him at his booth and got a pic with him too.
Sunday was the most fun. I went to get my DVD signed and got a hug from Aaron ^^ Then went to get my pic taken inside the coffin used in Rob Zombie's Halloween 2. That thing is tiny, but at least I got a good scared expression on XD I finally bought some stuff from a few dealers. Got a few pics of Frankenstein, The Phantom of the Opera and the Wolf Man. Hurr hurr~ I also got an early design poster of the Wolfman remake. It's dated for February this year. At least I only paid half for it.
The last panel of ScareFest sucked hardcore. The "psychic" was way off when she did a mini-reading on me. She said I was a writer and was into computers and information technology. Hell no. I hate writing and IT >8( I tried to tell her she was wrong, but she did not want to accept that. And her presentation was poor and badly timed. At least Chip has good words said about him.
Finally, that night I was scared for my life. We went on a ghost tour at Waverly Hills Sanatorium. That place was creepy as hell. And to top it off, we were being led by Kane Hodder, who played Jason Voorhees in a couple of Friday the 13th movies. He was a big dude (and kinda hot, teehee) He gave everyone on the tour free autographed pics (Signed pics at ScareFest was $20!!) At first, we went down the body chute, then back up. Everyone was tired as hell before the real tour had started X__x
We went past some creepy room down creepy hallways. We went past an elevator shaft where an old man and his dog were killed. I started feeling saddened by this, which never happens. We went to the fifth floor, where in room 502 is supposed to be haunted by a nurse who killed herself there. I believe I saw a person wearing white in front of me, but then disappeared when I gasped. Then when we went outside, I just broke out in tears. That's never happened to me before. It scared me, but then after that I wasn't scared anymore.
So we went to out last floor, on the fourth, where some kids were locked in after they broke into the hospital and were trying to escape. We went through the same door they axed to get out. There I saw shadow people for the first time down this long hallway. They were odd. Kane went like the brave big guy he was, but he was so big, he blocked the entire hall XD
At last we were done. Me and my mom got a pic with Kane. He was sooo nice. (and hot XD)
Theeeenn.... We went to the Mammoth Caves, where unfortunately my stepdad fell and messed up his knees really badly. He's having a hard time walking and will see a doctor this week about that. Did some driving and visited Graceland in Memphis and saw the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. Yeah, we went everywhere within driving distance. Too bad we couldn't go to Bobby Mackey's, where the GA guys did a lockdown.
But now I'm finally home. And my ankles are swollen. I just found out when I took my shoes off. WTF? Maybe I walked a little too much? *shrugs shoulders*
I'm still surprised that I actually cried at a haunted location

ScareFest Report, Abridged
General | Posted 16 years agoScarefest was awesome!!! I got to meet my favorite ghost investigators for the show Ghost Adventures 8D
They were the nicest guys ever. As soon as the con opened, my parents and I followed Nick to the GA booth and chatted with him. After that, we became know as the "Favorite Family" XD I won their first season dvd in a raffle and got that signed. Then we went to a session with Chip Coffey. It was.... okay. Not very exciting though :/
I mostly wondered around the dealer's room, but I didn't buy anything until Sunday, the last day. I just got some photos of monsters.
Also got one of those "aura" pics taken of me. Mine was reddish, with some orange, and some lines the people running the booth said were odd. Then I got my pic taken inside the glass coffin that was used in Rob Zombie's Halloween 2. It's really tiny Oo
Sadly, the last session I went to sucked badly. The "psychic" was way off on me. She said I was a writer and was into computers and information technology. Hell no. I hate writing and IT >8( I told her she was wrong, but she didn't seem to accept that. At least the aura people were dead on right. They said I used my hands a lot and I have an active imagination 8D Which I do. And that I see angels. Which explains a lot because I sometimes see dancing lights in the sky. And that I should do the "dance of life" with them... That was little too silly sounding to me though. But they were astounding and gave me a free reading.
After all that was over, on Sunday night, we went to Waverly Hills Sanitorium. That place was creepy as hell. And to top it off, we were being led by Kane Hodder, or Jason Voorhees in a couple of Friday the 13th movies O___O
Saw some shadow people and for the first time for me, I began to cry on the fifth floor where the nurse was found hanging and where people who had TB in the brain and children were sent to get treatment. I never cry when going on ghost investigations, so I was pretty shook up by that. But after that, I wasn't so scared on the rest of the tour.
Still on vacation, but currently in Tennessee. Gonna go to Graceland tomorrow. I guess "yay".....??

"IB" made me gasm.... damned Nazi uniforms =u= They were sooooo awesome!!! Such a shame about the french Jew lady. I was hoping to see her laughing along with her reel with her loverboy renouncing his Nazism ;-;
That other movie.... was so fucking sick. And I mean it in a really bad way. I mean, I though I was a pretty sick minded person... But that was just... wrong. I hated it very much. Probably because they just loved to show the gorey details... nooo thank you. I just hated it with a burning passion, kinda like with vampires. They're so predictable. I was just waiting for the kids to die before the "happy ending" could happen.
At least "Drag Me To Hell" had a totally wicked ending twist :XD: She was just too stupid to check the envelope XD

Not much art will be coming to spam your inboxes, unless it's for my Drawing 2 class ^^; But at least I got all the classes I wanted with highly recommended teachers. I still need textbooks o___o Luckily I found out I still had some money in my savings XD So hopefully I can get them this week.

Friday: Went as Mafia Kakashi. Made of fail. Wondered around till opening ceremony began. Then when that ended, wondered around some more. I got tired of the excessive amount of white hair gel on, so I went to the restroom and washed most of it out ^^; Wrapped my t-shirt and just became a suited ninja XD Stayed until the rave, which was happening at the same time as my friend's panel (Sorry, Syd!!) Was feeling sick from not eating all day X_X
Saturday: Went as Diego Armando, with an "Objection!" sign XD Went to Costume Contest Pre-judging, but I think I was a little too early, since I was like, the sixth or eighth-ish person in line, out of like, 40 people XD Ran into my "fangirl" (for Diego LOL) Then, recorded the whole Mike Sinterniklass panel for a friend. Eventually converted my sign to say "FREE GLOMPS!" ROFL~!!! Stayed for the Karaoke. I attempted to sing "Resonance" from T.M. Revolution, along with someone else who hopped up on stage, but also forgot the lyrics. But I think I made up for it by my (retarded) air-guitar XD I tried to go for another song, but the guy wouldn't let me, which was totally ghey, since he let one dude sing twice. >8( I think he was jealous that I was able to act super crazay on stage and have people cheer me on for it!!
Sunday: Went as Feenie Wright. This was the most fun for me ^^ I overused the Caramelldansen song and recorded everybody dancing to it. I was eventually chashed down when everyone discovered it was me and was glomped to death by CDfans. Being glomped by Alucard is an odd feeling @_@ Went to watch some Avatar with a room full of Zuko fangirls (and was one of them). I couldn't stop with the dirty comments and kept getting high-fives for it 8D Then when it was over, there was a battle between everyone versus Katara XD I got some money from my mom and went straight to the dealers room. Hardly anyone was marking down prices, so I went to the only two booths at did. I broke down and got a katana. It's not really cool looking (all gravely-looking), so it was really cheap for only $20!! and got a few buttons from the other booth that something to do with semes and ukes to fit with some costumes XD Then I hanged out with some other cosplayers and played some Telephone. We had to kick out some dude who kept changing the message though XD I got almost all the guests autographs and totally geeked out when I asked Mike to say "Go, Team Venture!" and got it on video ROFLOLMFAO!!!! Then came the closing ceremonies. Finally, it was all over and took some of the leftover badges since the people holding the con said we could. And..... that's all.

General | Posted 16 years agoSo in the meantime, anyone with a art request will have to wait a while, since I'm currently on my mom's computer, which doesn't have any art programs on it and don't think she would like it if I did install any D8 So to make it up, I'll color them the old fashioned way: Prismacolor markers and pens. They haven't been used in a while and it doesn't take me 8D that long to use them. (I still suck with digital coloring.)
But I'm still free to chat, thanks to my cell phone *dances* Just remember, I can't view any links sent over. They are not assessable through my phone.
FALSE ALARM!!! I frikking pressed the power button after posting and it starts up like nothing ever happened.... Grr...

Oh, and I went to see "Drag Me to Hell".... that had some really f*cked up shit... and with minimal blood as possible for a horror movie! :] I swear, I had to keep covering my eyes. It wasn't even safe to watch even when it was daytime XD
But at least it teaches you this: DON'T F*CK WITH GYPSYS!!! I mean it >:[
And it also taught me something: "Bob, don't eat sugar before any horror movie."

I spend my whole day playing video games, taking pics and recording the random activity over at Drakaji's house XD He wanted to show off his new DSi *basturd* I swear, he's the only person I still hang out with and talk to (in real time, like IMing and talking on the phone)
He also showed off his new Intuos 4... And started playing "Osu!" on it.
Yeah... today was... interesting, for lack of a better word :/
OMG~OMG~OMG~! PROFESSOR LAYTON AND THE DIABOLICAL BOX IS COMING OUT TO THE US!!! Yes, I'm excited and I still need to watch the E3 Press Conference on the Nintendo Channel when I get moar batteries for the Wiimote XD

General | Posted 16 years agoI'm gonna work on a Midna costume. Like... really put effort into it. And try to work on losing more weight since when I'm viewed from the side, I look preggers D: (when I'm not) Luckily I still have my bodysuit (black, yay) from my old marching band days XD
[What else now... hmmmm] Oh! I finally now have a DS buddy~!! Drakaji-kun got one... a DSi to be exact. I'm just glad I'm not the only one now! He's gonna become an Ace Attorney whore (like me) and learn about why I <333 Edgeworth XD Now I just have to go to his house to drop off the games and we shall Pictochat for HOURS ON END!! BWAHAHAHAA~!!!
Ahem.... I'm really bored and I should be to bed soon. But it's cold with my window open, but it's really hot when it's closed... oh such a dilemma XD

I'm bored and I currently can't get a job due to the crappy economy. So if you commission me, I will love you forevers... Or an art trade is also cool. But I will need moneys when school time come rolling by. Not for another few more months though *relief sigh*
Let's just start with $2 pics. Whatever you want: sketch. lineart, color, traditional or digital. Nothing fancy though. My skills are still not that advanced. I'm more than willing to do some TF art mostly. But everything else is fair game too.

I hope to get some sketches done while flying to and from there. Plenty of time cuz it's like.... a 5 hour flight from ABQ? WTF!
