Posted 16 years agoTomorrow I hand in the University project of doom ;3; I am so damn happy to have this shit over with (well I've got a few bits on annotation still to do on my book work, but I'm taking a break from it all).
Friday morning I'll be taking the train down to my Gran's to pick up the new doll (OMG YAY) and spend the weekend... (and apparently move furniture... thanks Nan 6.6)
Uni's already given us the brief for the next project but its a lot better than the last so yay. I'm looking forward to actually being able to draw stuff for myself for a bit XD
In other news: there's a girl at Uni who keep drawing/colouring furry porn on the macs in the computer room... I have no idea how to react to this? D: Who draws porn at uni? Part of me wants to go say hi (cause you know furry and there doesn't seem to be many here) but um... I can't get over the fact she's drawing porn -at Uni-.

25 things you probably don't know about Bora
1. I am quite content to sit around for hours on end, only daydreaming. In fact I get quite annoyed by the people who can't leave me alone to do this.
2. I have dyspraxia, it's learning disability that people tend to nickname 'the clumsy child syndrome'. It effects things like motor-functions, balance and speech. In the most basic terms it means I miss pronounce words a lot and fall over all the time (and a crap ton of other things I can't be bothered to go into :O google it or something).
3. I -love- foods with mixed tastes. Sweet + salty is amazing in my book. As such, a lot of my cooking tends to mix flavours (and freak out everyone in the room). One of my favourite snacks is prawn crackers with chocolate sauce :3
4. *Geek moment* I play Warhammer. Right now I don't have any team to play with out here, but my brother and I have a epic little mordheim game going on back home :3 (I play slaaneshi-chaos)
5. While I can cook decently well, I'm banned from our kitchen back home. My cooking has a worrying tendency to burst into flames. I managed to set baked beans on fire once...
6. My music tastes are many and varied, but my favourite genres are metal and ska. That being said, my favourite musician is Meat Loaf (<3) and my favourite album is Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of War of the Worlds. (and if you don't know what I'm talking about, google it! It's epic ;3;)
7. Ok this one you might have worked out already, but I collect Asian Ball Jointed Dolls (yeah those giant freaky anime-esk things). I take great joy terrorising my brother with them.
8. I love gaming, but I actually find it a lot more enjoyable watching my brother play. Due to the dyspraxia I have very bad reflexes, so fast paced gaming tends to be torture for me.
9. I was born and lived in Saudi Arabia until I was 12 (and no, this doesn't make me Muslim or Saudi thank you very much. My parents are British and so am I). At which point we moved to Holland. I loved every second of living there.
10. My mother died of cancer when I was 16. It wasn't pleasant in the least, but I've gotten over it.
11. My parents were both medical based - as such I tend to have a lot of mostly useless medical knowledge rattling around in my head XD
12. My grandmother is Marxist XD She's very proud of this fact.
13. I get distracted incredibly easily, as such I usually have a good number of things going on at once so I can easily switch between them all.
14. 14 is my lucky number :3
15. People regularly mistake me for my mother. This is honestly quite disturbing at times XD
16. My best friend ever, is my brother.
17. I've got two pets, a white fluffball cat called Arthur (from the Artful Dodger from 'Oliver Twist'- our other cat at the time was called Oliver), and a goldfish called Mushy Pea's (which is a classic side when eating fish and chips...). Pea's is apparently immortal.
18. I never wear makeup. Ever. I can't stand the stuff.
19. I've seen snow four times in my life. I really want to visit somewhere where you get loads of the stuff and romp in it. This is one of my life goals.
20. I am terrified of zombies. So much so that people making zombie noises around me will have me shaking like a leaf. I once spent a good hour+ locked in a bathroom because my brother thought it would be hysterical to pretend to be a zombie and attack the door, and then no one could convince me it was safe to come out.
21. I love cats. I'm also pretty confident I'm going to end up a crazy cat lady in my later years.
22. I am completely paranoid about being late to anything. I turn up at places two hours before hand rather then be 5 minutes late.
23. I can't drive, and have no plans to ever learn.
24. I've had more concussions in my life than I can remember.
25. I am incredible shy - my mother made me join my schools drama club to get over this. It worked. (However, I now present myself as a role when meeting new people/situations... because of this it's not until a couple of months into knowing me that I tend to act like myself). I find this ironically hysterical XD

Been crazy over here, lots (and LOTS) of fireworks - its 3:25 and they're still going strong!
Annnd I'm 21 now... this is a weird feeling indeed! The boys forgot to get candles, so this year I got sparklers instead XD

Just got back to Holland tonight. In the all of three days Dad's been gone our house was broken into.
They smashed the French windows to our back garden to get in, all in all they haven't taken too much (we think it was probably kids) - Dad's laptops, small electronics (our hand-held gaming systems are gone - fortunately the brother had the 360 with him :3). All things we can claim on the insurance easily enough, and the cat isn't harmed so all in all, not that bad.
Except they took the safe from my room (strangely though not my brothers), which I kept the jewellery Mum left me when she died. I'm devastated that I've lost them ;3;
Police have been round already, they found a few fingerprints and cig buts so that might work out. We're hoping we can track mum's rolex through the serial number at least.
This was not the christmas homecoming I was hoping for to be honest, but at least none of us have been hurt, and we've not lost too much of sentimental value.
Ugh.

Right now my wrists still a bit too sore (mostly due to being stiff from the cast still) so I'm not gonna be up to much just yet. But oh, there shall be arts SO SOON.

ARGH! Freedom denied! (update x2)
Posted 17 years agoWent to the hospital again for a check up at the fracture clinic. Had my cast removed, wrist prodded about by evil doctors and then yet more xrays.
... and then got to have another cast put on. I've got to keep this one on for three weeks, which means I'm having to go home to Holland a week later then planned so I can make my appointment. Ugh, I'm so sick of this already. I'm in pain, grumpy and I want this fucking cast off already (so I can, you know draw/eat properly again... a normal shower would be nice too XD)
Realistically I know dealing with a plaster cast for three weeks is hardly the worst thing in existence... but I'm an impatient sod and I do so hate wanting to draw and not being able to. The housemates/University are being lovely and understanding though, even if they do love taking the mick *shakes fist* XD
Ah well.

Posted 17 years agoSo yeah. Went for my second Xray at the hospital today and it turns out I actually have broken my damn wrist. I was really hoping it would turn out that I hadn't... 'cause damn it I am so sick of this cast thing already. :/

Posted 17 years agowent to the hospital today... ans yes well. They're pretty sure I've managed to break my scaphoid bone :B (its one of those little ones in your wrist area). Unfortunately breaks there don't really show up in Xrays until a good week+ later, so they can't be certain. So I have to wear a split until the 17th, when I'll have to go back for more Xrays... yay -__- And then we'll see what happens. Oy.
I should just change my name to accident prone or something.

So heading into University yesterday morning I tripped and fell (quite spectacularly with much wind-milling of arms and back and forth-ing). And I've managed to fuck my right wrist up something awful. It was mildly painful after the fall but during the day it just kept getting worse.
And I woke up this morning with it bruised to high hell, swollen and hard to move. It just keeps getting more painful through the day and it's sending these twinges of pain up my arm when I move it D: Right now I've got it wrapped up in a bandage for support and am crossing my fingers its only bruised and will get better.
Dad however, seems to think I may have broken/cracked one of the little bones in my wrist. Which... I dunno. You'd think having any broken bone would hurt a lot more then this is but apparently not. >: Stupid medical based Fathers and their ability to freak me out with diagnoses over the phone (problem is the bastards usually right about these things ;3;)
Either way, come Friday if it's still hurting then I'm off to the doctors. There's no point being on an art course when you can barely move your hand to draw :/ Until then it's painkillers, bandages and cuddles from the housemates XD

A cig, no... but I have smoked my fair share of joints :P Gotta love living in Holland.

I don't, but I do kinda want one. Well, I want to take up clay pigeon shooting, which does involve getting a gun at some point.

I have no idea what the hell a Sonic is. I'll drink blackcurrant or tropical squash if that helps.

Yes D: Which is ironic, since both my parents are medical based :/

I, I love being in my home (with my family) but living in Holland is starting to wear thin.

4, but two of them are just hooked up to the gaming systems. I live in a family full of gamers, this was inevitable.

Which means I'm internetless (and as much as I love you guys, I'm not making the 3miles back and forth walk into town just for 15 minuites at the library XD
I'll be home in Holland by the end of the week and I'm sure I'll have pleanty of stuff to spam you lot with (hell I already do, but the hell I'm using library internet to upload it! XD)

So for those of you who don't know, last year I moved over here to Hastings for college and rented a room in a four bedroomed house. Most of my house mates are great fun and really nice. Except for the one other girl, Lisa.
Lisa is insane, a total control freak and the biggest bitch I've ever met. In short she's the epitome of chav. (wiki link for those of you who don't speak English slang - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chav).
From the moment I moved in, Lisa's been lording it over all of us. We're expected to do all the cleaning around the house, and should it not be done, she'll call a house-meeting (which apparently only -she's- allowed to call) and bitch at us. She's unemployed and on the doll (and had been since I moved in) and regularly has to rely on the rest of us having to pay her parts of the bills.
So our little student house (all of us but her go to the college) is regularly filled to bursting with her friends, who get rip-roaring drunk, break plates and generally spend the weekday nights screaming downstairs. A few weeks after I got here, it's a weekday night and I need to take a shower while downstairs theirs 14 strangers roaming around. I decided to risk it, and had them walk in on me three times (the same guy who kept coming back with his mates) because our lovely landlord refuses to let us put locks on the bathroom door -__-
As of recently, she's had her boyfriend move in with her. Which is one. against our tenancy agreement and two. VERY freaky, as the guys on parole right now (from apparently attacking and attempting to rape a girl, Lisa says this is a lie by the girl because her boyfriend refused to sleep with her... yeah I dunno, seems silly but these are chavs we're talking about). Lisa and the boyfriend have huge massive screaming fights at each other, with much throwing of heavy objects and threats. Now from the phone calls we've been getting, my talks with her mum and the things Lisa's been saying, she's in trouble with the police over him and not exactly happy about it.
So fast-forward to today, I'm downstairs making dinner and the house phone rings. It's Lisa, saying she's having the police come round to remove her boyfriend (who incidentally has a key to our front door) and how I shouldn't be worried but she can come round with the main door lock key if I need it (and I quote "so you can be safe tonight").
At this point I'm a little freaked out, I'm the only one home right now - I don't know if he's upstairs or not and Lisa's telling me these sort of things. Also that she won't be home for the next couple of days. Meep. So a few minutes later and the policeman knocks on the door. I let him in, take him up to Lisa's room and there's a nerve wrecking couple of minutes while he searches out house top from bottom. While freaking me out yet more with comments about how I should stay back around the boyfriend and what not.
So the boyfriend isn't here right now (really at this point it would help if I knew his name but four weeks into him living here and the only words passed between us have been grunted hello's in passing). And I've been told to phone the police if and when he comes home. So yeah, I'm hoping my house mate gets home before that and I can be clichéd and hide behind a guy XD
ETA: So boyfriend has been accosted by the police, key taken from off him and Lisa's mum came over and I helped her pack up all of his stuff. HONESTLY.

Posted 17 years agoFor the past week or so, I've been having these randomly appearing splitting migraines. I'll be sitting there feeling perfectly fine and then my vision will go all blurry and BAM, migraine. ;3;
They don't last all that long (couple of hours tops) and at this point I'm just taking a few painkillers and curling up in bed when one does come on. Of course this means my sleep patterns are well messed up, but oh well.
If this goes on much longer I'm going to have to bite the bullet and visit the lovely NHS doctors out here (>: I hate going to the doctors, which is terribly ironic considering my parents...) but I'm stalling right now.
Migraines tend to run in our family and I'm hoping it's just a throw back to how stressed out and overworked I've been for the past month or so.

Oh and in other news that probably only Gennii/Rapps will give a damn about, Liam shipped! :3 *stalks parcelforce tracking website*

And technically, he'll get his human eyes when Liam gets here (minoru's default blue eyes are the ones I want for Sativa so I'm killing two birds with one stone)... and I've just bought Liam's eyes too (he's going to have the same ones as Connor).
