Posted 13 years agoSo as most of my current status, I've been back in mass for about two weeks now, looking for jobs, and various other lovelyness. Gotten to see a few of you, still a few I'm waiting to see *CoughDinCough*. It's been a little crazy and I still haven't wrapped my mind around everything, mostly because I don't want to wrap my mind around everything, because if I do, I think I might finally crack. As Twitter knows I've come really close before, but I've still yet to finally crack.
Anyway, yes. As said, back in Mass. Still currently in Quincy, but will be in Brockton at... some point. Nobody's sure, and nobody's sure how we're gonna move half the shit either. For once I'm trying not to think to much into the future anymore, since it is such a god damn fucking uncertanty, but I'm instead focusing on the small stuff I can do. Case in point: I've been cleaning the bathroom upstairs. It's been needing it for MONTHS (Re: Years) now, and It's finally looking like a bathroom one would actually use again. Well, at least the tub is. The toilet I'm gonna tackle last. But yay, Bleach, oh god, bleach fumes.
So as some know I ended up hosting a Dave & Busters meetup that seemed pretty darn successful if I do say so myself. Would I do it again? Oh hell yes. Problem is I need money to spend for such a thing, as I might next time try requesting a private social room. It probably wouldn't be for a while either, and be held a little later into summer months. Still, could be fun and awesome. So keep eyes out in the future if I get a job and have plenty of disposable income.
Speaking of jobs, been looking for some. Had an interview Wednesday that was supposed to call me back Thursday, but never received said call. Called them Friday, but woman in charge who interviewed me was not there. Plan is to call back Tuesday (As that's when they would have had me start) early in the morning so if they do want me still, I can come in with plenty of time still. However, seeing as I didn't get a call, I'm still gonna apply to other places.
I've also been getting into Fitness, and as
GuilRosmer seems to think, I'm ridiculously skinny... at 176 lbs. I know, not too bad, but it's still overweight and I want a nice body. As such, I've joined Fitbit to manually calculate and track my calories intake, while I have Fitocracy, which I use to keep me doing work-outs in a sense. If you want profiles of either of those, ask. My ideal is to be around 155 lbs with a nice skinny bod. Not Twinky, but sculpted. We'll see if I can reach that. by the end of this summer.
I've also joined a few other sites (Some not so PG >_>) that I've been keeping busy with. One in particular is an advanced-ish RP forum for Kingdom Hearts. Yeah, think what you will. Everyone is allowed to have their opinions on everything. Anyway, pretty fun. Been a Stealth furry on it for a while by playing Simba, Beast, Donald Duck, and Vanitas. Woot for Stealth furry. If anyone wants info about it ask. I can share.
Last bit of info? Well I just got back from hanging out with probably the most awesome otter in the world, the one and only. Yes, he is awesome. 3 days of hanging out, 5 AM Dunkin trips. Crazy RuPaul Drag Race antics, stalking Tsarolions outside their windows, and just hilarity and talking and proving once more how awesome he is. Well, pretty much all the Waltham furs I know are awesome, but Guil's just ottery awesome :p
That's all for now as it stands. Kinda more positive this time around with the journal, thank god.

Current Housing status: Quasi-Homeless
Posted 13 years agoLast night I texted my mom to ask her about the housing situation (Something that annoys me because she should honestly be keeping up with me a little on the situation and not make me have to contact her, but whatever, it's a dire and complex situation). Basically asked her just what the current status was, and she told me outright and bluntly that it's no good. At this point, we're not going to be finding a house or apartment of our own. Instead, we will be moving in with Peter's (my mom's boyfriend) mother for a while until we're back on our feet. The problem is, I know my mom and I know Peter. My mom's going to become lazy again, and Peter's going to then not want to do anything to move since they're in a cozy safe environment. More than likely we're also losing Kenny (my autistic Uncle) who is wrapped up in a whole Court Debacle because of various bullshit with guardians and stuff.For those curious about that extra little bit, there's an extra paragraph you can read at the bottom here. It does somewhat relate, as it's part of all the stress I have been having lately, but only marginally.
So, at this point, I'm Quasi-Homeless. Quasi, in the sense that our home is going to be sold and in a Month (Not sure if may or June) we will be moving into Peter's mom's place in Brockton (Not far from route 34). Now there is enough room for me there, but I'm half tempted to say fuck it and live with my friend in Milton for the Summer (She offered her place before in dire situations when I was getting sick of my mom's depressed Bullshit), but I'm debating that at this point and what it could mean for me. My mom plans to sell the house when we move out, so my College career should be safe. This means my mom can also pay off all her debts, but it'll still be a while before we're back on our feet, especially knowing my mom and Peter. So, it's kinda a win with a loss, but I'm not sure. To me it still feels like Quasi-Homlessness having to live with Pete's mother, but meh.
I'm still taking commissions BTW. I know I'm not the best artist out there, but I have quick turn around and will draw anything if paid for it, even if I don't draw it normally. I do need the money to save for since I STILL have yet to acquire and internship.
About Kenny: My Uncle has lived with us for as long as I can remember due to being on the higher end of the autism Spectrum. For a while we believed he had Autism and tourrettes, but I've begun to doubt the tourettes. Recently, since my mom got hit with depression from the loss of my grandmother, losing her job, and everything, it has rubbed off on him, causing him to become more depressed and lethargic. My aunts and uncles have noticed this, and as such have called for a court appointed guardian and court appointed handler to be given, as well as him to live on his own. We (my mom, Peter, and me) have actually spoken with Kenny, and know that he doesn't want to live anywhere else, he likes living with my mom. He'd love to live with our aunt, but she would turn around and put him in housing, which he doesn't know but we do (She has said as much). While my mom was jobless, he was the only source of income besides Peter. Now we have the potential of losing him soon. It's alot of court bullshit and our aunts and uncles not understanding because they don't live with him.

Planning Stages
Posted 13 years agoI had to make a tough decision today when it came to my money. I’ve had a CD worth a little over $10,000 Set to renew in July, but had to break it due to the need for money now for food and other things. This money was part of a planning option for various things, so let me lay out to you a little bit of what’s been going on.
As some know, I’m on the verge of being Homeless. We received a foreclosure notice at my home in Mass and my mom and Peter have been looking into getting a new place of some sort. At this point we’re forced to look at apartments, which make it hard, as we have to search specifically for Pet Friendly apartments within the Greater Boston area. But it’s also hard to find apartments that have three bedrooms instead of two or four, and harder within our budget.
Due to this, our Financial situation is basically in the dead zone. It’s nigh impossible for me to get any loans for college, which means I have to rely on scholarships of whatever money I do have. If we can actually sell the house we live in before it enters a Short Sale or Foreclosure, then we can make a decent amount of money off of it. Enough to pay off my mom’s debts and begin anew. Enough to afford to keep me in college. Enough to, well, keep us afloat. But that all depends on us being able to make that money.
However, knowing this, and having fought through at least one or two nights where I have been in tears because it just felt like nothing was going to work, Here are the options I have before me:
Option 1: (Best case Scenario) A house or apartment is found, money is made from selling the house at enough of a value to pay off all my mom’s debt and put me through another year of college. I also find an internship for this summer. Continue my schooling for next year and graduate on time.
Option 2: A house is found, money is made, and can put me through another year of college and pay mom’s debts. Can’t find an internship for this year, but get one next summer after finishing classes and just graduate an extra semester late with no real classes needed to be taken.
Option 3: A House is found, money Is made to pay off my mom’s debts but not put me through college. I use my CD to continue living at the apartment one more year on a STRICT budget. Get a job in the area to help bring some income (Probably a Subway or something). Return when money is available if possible, but otherwise return to Mass and find work where possible.
Option 4: An apartment is found but it’s not large enough for me to live there. I spend the sumer living with my friend Marissa and find a summer job of some sort (other options can spill into this)
Option 5 (Worst case): We can’t sell the house in time and find no house. I live with Marissa for a while until I have enough to live on my own somewhere and… well, Not sure.
Only the top two are ideal at this point, but I will fight as hard no matter what happens.
For those who care about me though and are willing to help, there’s not much that can be done. What can be done:
1: Help in the apartment hunt (Cheap, Pet Friendly. 3 Bedroom ideal but two and four workable. Rent budget max is $1000 total without Utilies. Access to Busline or Train line ideal, and need to be on South Shore or West of Boston) Alert me of any places you see or find (Prices, address, etc) by emailing me (borderwalker1 at gmail dot com) so I might forward them to my mom.
2: Help by getting me income! I may not be doing art much but I still do art. I have one I owe Omnyx as a gift, but have no commissions and will willingly take any for nearly any amount. Name your price more or less! I’m generally quick and good about getting art out, Reference Sheets aside! No need to commission me yourself, just promote me if you can.
That’s all right now that can be done. It’s my battle I have to fight. I’ll fight it till I die, ad fight more. I still plan to at least attend Fur Fright (Have a special savings account built into my bank for FurFright only), but this summer… may get rough.

2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer is my car. Sometimes drive a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee (It's my mom's). What I wish I had at this point though? A Chevy Volt. Seriously, fuck the gas prices right now. If gas weren't a worry I'd probably go with a Mercedes GL or GLK

Posted 13 years agoIt's getting harder each day. I made a Journal like this before a few months back, and the feelings are returning. That bit of "Friendsick" that I feel where I want to be done and over with. But this time it's not out of the sadness or missing my friends. Oh no, this time it's anger. Deep, ugly anger.
See, last semester I kinda had a bit of a... downfall, as far as grades went. I bombed one class and failed it, while two others I did very poorly in. Partly it was tough classes, partly it was just the inability to actually be able to just, well, do anything. I was in a state of sadness and depression much of last semester. This Semester it's biting me back only a little. I've been keeping up with my classes as much as I can, doing the work. Except for one class. This class? Environmental Sustainability. It's a required class for me, but something I can take later with a different teacher, ortough through and get it overwith. I haven't done much of the work not really out of laziness but because I don't have the opinions for the work. Yes, it's OPINION based work. "Oh there's no right or wrong answers" Well yes there is if your going to nitpick my opinion, which I have none of. Yes, the Tragedy of the Commons is a tragedy, but humanity sucks. I deal, you deal too. Oh, that little malformation in that district of Japan due to mercury poisoning? I'm sorry, that sucks, but it doesn't affect me.
Sad to say, but It really comes down to me. makes me sound shallow, but forgive me if i decide to be shallow this one moment. It doesn't affect my life as of right now. Sure, some of the laws and Regulations set forth might affect my life, and I can understand the grand scheme behind the Tragedy of the commons, but really?
Most of what this comes down to is opinion based essays about something I have no opinion on. And even if I had an opinion on it, I suck at Opinion based essays.
Mind you, I've talk with other people in those classes taught by different teachers, and apparently they have more than just these opinion based Essays.

Relationships, Birthdays, and AnimeBoston
Posted 13 years agoSo I've been thinking lately about commitment and relationships that extend beyond friends. I like the freedom to hang out with whatever friends I want whenever, even if certain things happens. Relationships beyond that though... dating, Mates/BF/GF... they scare me. Why? I don't really know. it might be that I've generaly been burned by relationships before (The best I had I had to end early because I didn't feel anything for the other and didn't want them being lead on by false hope). I'm always afraid it could end in a disaster, with friendships being unable to remain or last because of it. Granted, a lot of this worry has gone down as of late, simply because I also associated sex completely with romance and relationships, but quite obviously that's been changed. Unlike a lot of furs in this community, I don't go looking for a relationship. If one comes to me, I'll take it, but I don't go looking for a relationship because I'm lonely. In that way I kinda have a leg up from most of the community, but it still makes me wonder if it's also that I just fear commitment in some way. Not sure how to test it really. Now this isn't to say I wouldn't LIKE a relationship. I'd love to have a BF/GF to be able to hold and cuddle and talk with, but I also know relationships take a lot of trust and a lot more than just kissing. At this point I'm rambling though so I'll cut it short.
So my Birthday is in a little over a month on the 27th of March. This is the Tuesday after Spring Break for me, which sadly means no getting an epic 221st party at home. Which again makes things awkward. I haven't really had a birthday party since... well, 6th or 7th grade really. Maybe even earlier. It used to just kinda be a family affair for a while, then just kinda "hey, you were born this day. he's some gifts". partially this is by my choice. I don't like parties for myself much, and I also don't like cake (Cupcakes excluded). I will eat cake, but it's not something I will choose to eat, but will eat if presented to me. But this year is my 21st, and that's typically a big celebration, right? That, and I have friends that I would love to see at a birthday celebration. Initially I had thought to throw one at the apartment, but I realized that could cause conflicts. For one, both my roommates are reserved in their own way. Mel might lock herself in her room to avoid any crowds or just get uncomfortable. Or worse, mildly bitchy and trollish. She's great usualy, but I know her, and I know she doesn't much care for the crowds I could see. Skye, on the opposite hand, is subconsciously homophobic (Getting better) due his upbringing. While now he can joke with us about gay things and even take jokes insinuating he's gay and roll with them, he's still made uncomfortable by it. He does enjoy parties for being able to interact with people, but I dunno. Optionally, I could host the party the weekend before I go back up to Maine, but that means finding other means of acquiring alcohol (because god be damned if I'm not getting (responsibly) shitfaced on my 21st). I could in theory also have the party the weekend after, still at my house, but that means traveling back to Mass for a weekend just for something like a party. Granted, I would want the party to be small anyway, but I dunno. Maybe I could find somewhere else to host it or let someone else throw me one at a different place. Like that'd happen.
As for the last bit of this Journal, I will be hitting AnimeBoston this year as part of my school's RPG club. We will be arriving Friday, but attending only Saturday and Sunday (I might try to sneak off anyway and hit Friday night. Liability my ass, I'm from Boston and can handle myself!). I'll be going as part of a small Cosplay group for the TV show Avatar, probably as Zuko (3rd Season). Just throwing that out there to look for me during then.

Writing Excercises
Posted 13 years agoAs a means of trying to keep my creative side of my brain from dying, since I can't seem to draw anything, I'm doing little writing excercises. Each night (Or every other night, we'll see what type of schedule I decide on) I'm going to sit at my computer and write. I don't know what I'll write, but I will write whatever comes to mind. They could be random, or completely series, or *Gasp* pornographic! They will be posted on both my major galleries (FurAffinity and Inkbunny), as well as linked to in Twitter. The idea behind them, other than to exercise my brain, is to also get a feel for my writing and try to improve it. Think of these as the equivilent of small sketches of an artist who seeks critique for trends they tend to have that is incorrect or poor. I am looking for the same.
So, if you see one of these in my gallery, please read it and let me know your thoughts. Anything is appreciated from a simple "Nice, I liked [insert]" to a "probably shouldn't have done [blank]". I want to eventually write something publishable worthy, so hearing other's thoughts will be nice to see. As an aside, if anyone has suggestions on how to challenge myself (Particular scenes or scenerios, characters, or character themes, ect,), I welcome them.

Posted 13 years agoYep. As of right now I am back in Massachusetts with a Computer hooked up and running. Not really unpacked beyond that, but have no intention of really unpacking since I'm here for a month before I'm back in Maine for another semester of college, this time in my shiny new apartment. Yep, it's off campus living from here on out. Thank god. My own bedroom!
Anyway, Spent the night at Silvermane, 
Runtt and 
Spazotter's place hanging out with mostly Silver and Spaz but a little but of Runtt too. Some damn good Stir Fry cooking too that Wah can make :D I wish I had been able to eat more than two servings. Regardless, twas a lot of fun and hope to do it again sometime guys!
Anywho, just to end this journal on something more, I'm still looking for people to commission me! I need money! Please! Check my scraps, as there's two inked drawings taken with a photograph to show some doodles of what I can do! Details on commissions here: Click!. I also hope to hang out with all my Boston fuzzies soon! *Looks specifically at Blarion, Dani, Lone, Nexus, Kavi, Pherric, Kiniel, Guil, etc*
Gonna continue looking into more setup and planning a few things as well, such as cleaning out this house of it's junk, or at least my room.
Oh, and I have a Red Cross appointment Saturday in Boston at 12:30 at some place on Tremont street. Give Life Guys!
