Posted 12 years agoIt sickens me to ask this of all of you, but, I need help.
My student grant was delayed once again, I was meant to have it at the start of this month, roughly, but it's fallen behind schedule. Again.
As it stands, I... won't have enough to make this month's rent. I'm not sure when it will come in, so even next month would be dicey.
If I could, I would open emergency commission slots to cover costs, but, and this sickens me, I can't. I've no equipment to do so with. You may remember that my tablet gave up the ghost a few weeks ago, and I'm still waiting for a replacement to be delivered. And sadly, with my situation, it's my only source of income. For those of you that'd call foul, since I'm working this year, my employers took me on an unpaid placement, so there'll be nothing coming from them, sadly.
It pains me to ask this of you, but I can't afford not to...
If you could spare something, anything, I would be immensely appreciative. You have no idea.
And, of course, I would return the favour in some shape or form when I'm able to do so, but right now, my hands are tied.
If you can, and will send something, the best place would be to throw it through Paypal to pionlaversti@gmail.com. 'Tis what I use for commissions normally, anyway. Secondly, I'm curious, would you folks be at all interested in watching game-streams from me, as well as art-streams? It's just something I've been pondering about doing for a while now.
It'd be most likely League of Legends at this point, seeing as that's a fairly popular choice to stream, but I could probably procure other things if needed. I bet there's a bunch of other things that you folks might be interested in. (Like watching me fail at I Wanna Be The Guy or something similar, you sadistic buggers.)

I don't want to swamp myself with them though, so I'll only have six at most, first come first serve!
But please bear in mind I'm still not too comfortable with drawing outright adult art, I'm still sorta easing myself into it. I MIGHT be persuaded if it's not too out-there, but it will most probably cost a lil' extra.
As for prices, I've not got a good figure just yet, but at the very most they'll run you $25. At most. Cost depends on the complexity and such, y'know the drill. XD
Either way, stick your name down here and note me what you want. I might not be able to do what you wish, but we'll at least be able to discuss things. I won't discard someone if I don't like their idea.
Also feel free to inquire if you miss it, just in case you're looking for one in the future.

And when I log on, boom, avalanche. Usually about seven people within about five minutes.
It's not that I don't love you all. It's just hard to divide up the scarce time I have. I've a lot more strain on it this year than I did last year. And I want to do other things than just talk to people.
And it's hard to. I'm easily guilted, guys. And it doesn't sit right with me, when I say "I'm too busy to talk", and then I get an "Ohhh... Okay.." back. Hnnnhghgnk.
So yeah. tl;dr : I'm not going to be around as much on messengers.

Well now. You all mighta heard about this silly (but needed) idea that was thrown around about a month ago.
A week where we show a bunch of what nature's noodlereptiles have to offer! Aside from the usual roles in Disney films as villains and such.
We ain't all that bad, I swear! (Usually, anyway..)
Either way! Every day this week I'll be doin' streams (aside from Wednesday 'cause I've stuff going on then, sadly,) where I'll be doing a bunch of snake doodles, you all are welcome to join in whenever you want, I'll be at it for quite a while every day! (Usually afternoon-to-night, European-time!)
Also, a challenge to all you folk out there, if you're not a snake, get yourself drawn as a snakeish version of yourself, interpretation is up to you! (I'd offer to do it but I amn't good with stream-commissions. x])
If you do manage to get a picture of yourself, Snake-Week-themed, done before the week's out (12 midnight, Sunday, GMT!), tell me!
When the weekend's over, then I'll pick, oooh, somewhere between one and five of you in a raffle and do a picture of you all together. Just a fun lil' idea, why not go out with a bit of a bang. x]

Posted 13 years agoWith Shark Week drawing to a close for another year. Myself and a friend joked about another thing themed like that... Well, I wound up not-joking about it. >:V
Snake Week(end).
The first weekend in October. (1st - 7th inclusive).
Because from what I've seen, sharks didn't get much notice on here until I saw Shark Week happened.
So I'm declaring Snake Week(end) to get snakes a bit more widespread. Hell, there's a lot of us out there already!
Yes. I'm slightly jealous that there is something like that for sharks but not for snakes. Rather than sit around doing nothing I'm going to actually try to drum up some support for it, maybe even make it a thing! Hell, worth a try, for the sake of snakes! We need to paint 'em in a good light for once, instead of have them all connected with grr-evil and things like that. FED UP WITH SERPENTINE-VILLAINS ONLY. SO LET'S SHOW THEM HOW NICE WE CAN BE (when we want to~)!
So yeah, spread the word, peeps! Journals, shouts, whatever, just do it! Snake need love too!

But ANYWAY... Juggling things with home and trying to organize a place for the next year, with a certain someone insisting that I work to get money to work on getting a house. Nuh-uh.
But yeah. Spent the last few weeks over at a friend's house and hadn't a cable for my tablet, so sorry, everyone! I totally botched that, I meant to go pick it up but that would have meant going back home and being tied down. (In a bad way, mind.)
On a side note, I'm now well into playing Starcraft 2, thanks to the friend I was bunking with for the majority of the time. Damn you, you know who you are.
Anyway, things are starting to calm down a bit, but I'm still horribly limited with internet access while I'm at home. Sorry, everyone, I just can't be on as often as I'd like to be. (Again, thanks to a certain someone.)
Sadly, I'm a bit under the weather, what with the family-inflicted mood-sapping field, so I just can't bring myself to do the sketchmissions (that you all have been waiting on for bloody near a month now) right at the moment, and sorry for that. Doubt the fact that I was out of practice helped in the slightest. *sigh*
ANYWAY, that's basically all of my hiatus accounted for now. Back to work, all! >:V

Posted 13 years agoYeahhh... My graphics tablet's cable has been screw-ified, so I've ordered a new one with the money I had 'resting in my account'. I've been trying to find the source of it for a couple of days now, which is why I've not drawn anything for here recently!

Opening another batch of sketchmissions!

Anyway... Yeah, I need something to do during the day... So, heh. :V
I'm opening more of those sketchmissions, maybe about 8 or 10 of them this time... Those were done quick (when I went to do them..), and people were going "awwwh I didn't get a slot.." and stuff.
Also people were saying how cheap they were, so I think I'll up the price to $8 each slot, and $4 for each extra character. (Don't worry, greywolfbade, I won't charge you more just on account of that. You're still getting the lower rate since you asked earlier.) I'M GREEDY SORRY! ;w;
- How good are they?
They'll wind up being something like this here and this too.
Of course if you want added extras like colour or things then it doesn't hurt to ask. The worst I can say is no, right? I won't petrify you. >:V
- How much?
I'll charge 'bout $8 or something for them, maybe $4 extra for every other character, since they take no time at all, just charging for the time it takes.
Also I realise that people mightn't want to fork out that to an artist who mightn't be able to draw 'em well enough, so if you're not sure, we can work something out. If you want one/more, send me a note/email with SEY in the title, also send ref's in the note/email because it makes things easier for everyone. x]
