Do any of you remember this client? It was FUCKING AWESOME. Basically you could pick a character and chat as them in a comic book format styled chat. It was really fucking fun. I got really into drawing and digital art (lol) because of this client.

Here are my characters. THEY'RE SO BAD!! But they were the stepping stones of my obsession with digital media and online social interaction. Eventually the servers died.. and I stopped going, but I'll always remember it fondly. Mermeliz was very kind to host my terrible art (and she still is hosting it, jeez!).

It's also how I was introduced to furries, because there was a furry chatroom called FurFire. http://www.furfire.org/ That's also where I first discovered webcomics as well. I don't remember how old I was.. but.. HOORAY FOR BABY INTERNET!

Having a job has done loads for my self-esteem. I'll probably break out of my little art block soon here as well.

Tomorrow I'm going to a reptile expo with  seely and  draklerahl. Some of you may already know, my Kenyan Sand Boa escaped several months ago over the course of Anthrocon. I tore the apartment apart, but he was absolutely nowhere. I left out pinkies and water and his heat pad, but he never came back. I'm a little annoyed because the people who sold him to me told me he wouldn't physically be able to escape because he's so small and a digging/ground snake. Well, they were wrong.

I'm planning on trying to pick up a hognose snake tomorrow. They're roughly the same size so I can use the same setup. I'm pretty excited, though Diglett will be my 3rd snake that's escaped because of a faulty cage. Pretty annoying and frustrating, but.. I mean I gotta live and learn, you know?

Anyways just thought I'd update you with my life! A few weeks ago I spent a week in Florida with my family, and I got FRECKLES on my face! It makes me so happy, I've always wanted freckles, that's why I gave them to bowrll. B3

and I was dreaming that it was people being murdered, one by one. All human screams. In my dream,  draklerahl was trying to assure me that it wasn't people and we were safe, but I was scared out of my mind. When I woke up the screams obviously didn't sound human, but they were REALLY loud and annoying nonetheless. Can anyone tell me what they might be? o_O It didn't really sound like a bug... MAYBE a frog but it was really loud and kind of sounded more like one animal than a bunch of animals. Possibly a bird? If it helps I'm located at Singer Island for specifics.

When I was younger I obsessed over furry books (without knowing what furry was), and I'm not ashamed of it.

RECOMMEND SOME:

Books where animals talk
Books with transformation (not sexual)
Books with talking dragons
Books with intelligent animals/mythical creatures

I'm trying to think of some good examples, but I can't really.

Like, Raptor Red or Dragon's Blood if you've read either of those. Those are some of my favorite books. Also the Gryphon series by Mercedes Lackey, Dogsbody by Diana Wynne Jones.

I heard there was a book like these about bats but I forget what it's called.

I'm more into fantasy than Sci Fi.

Don't say Redwall cause  draklerahl has some of those books, I'm looking into something different.

I like when the talking animal/creature is good/the protagonist. I don't like when it's a SUPER MEANIE DRAGON KILLING KNIGHTS.

I kind of like Dragonriders of Pern books but they're kind of a pain to read.


Also I'd prefer if they were adult books but still kind of easy reads. No Animorphs or anything haha.

omg anthrocon has been SO AMAZING TODAY.

I made some decent money selling badges and a painting. A few people liked the magnets and stickers, but no enough to make up the cost, oh well.

I'm about to do 's Badge with  blitzdrachen since he commissioned us both. Then it's PARTY TIME. Ohhhhh yeah, partay wartay. I can't wait, seriously.

But for reals, this year the badges I'm making are taking so much less time I can actually make an amount of money that's worth my while. I'm excite.

Idk, it's original art and p. cute but I'm not really known for my whimsical original art/characters which I can imagine would help them sell well.

ANYWAYS just a small update.

Last night  mouthrot covered  blitzdrachen in stickers and then we went to the dance drunk off our asses. I'm pretty sure I molested  johnnytanuki and told him repeatedly how amazing his Subasaurus is. I also found  Fender and re-enacted the donation banner I made that's currently on the left side of the website, lol. I pretended to be Rednef STEALING A QUARTER off his tie. Clearly I need to be drunk every night of the con.

I will be selling a LOT of ACEOs. They are all originals. They will be $13.
I'm selling 3 paintings. They are original, and going for $20 each.

I will be doing simple ACEO badges this year, due to time constraints. I will be able to get more done this way.

I will probably be in Artist's Alley on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
