Good way to transfer files?
General | Posted 15 years agoI need a temporary, convenient, and free way to transfer large files to somebody. I was using my own website but that' temporarily down. Suggestions?
What's up with the Commission information Page?
General | Posted 15 years agoSeriously, what's up with the commission information page? It's been on W.I.P. status for as long as I've known furaffinity. Are they ever going to fix it? I mean, they have spent time fixing what's not broken...
So In your opinion, what's the best alternative place to put commission information?

Status Update
General | Posted 15 years agoSo y'all know what's going on, because of my wrist health problems, I only have a couple hours a day to spend on the computer, all of which I'm dedicating to a 3D project ta earns da monayy $$. I don't know how long this work will last, but considering my slow progress it will probably be quite a while.

RPGs are EEVVIILL
General | Posted 15 years agoI say this with 100% sincere seriousness when I say the creation of games like final fantasy are a CRIMINAL ACT. I mean, think about it. It's like selling drugs. Like you've created something for no purpose other than to drain people's lives away. Seriously, what do you get out of endless mindless events that drag on for 10-20 minutes that you wouldn't get from the same thing if it was only 2 or 3 minutes? NOTHING except that you deliberately waste months of your life as opposed to days. Doing the same crap over and over for days and days is for people that honestly just have no desire to live. It's virtual suicide.
Videogame production is my career. I believe wholeheartedly that what I do can someday be a very valid valuable contribution to the welfare of mankind. But the sad truth is, almost every game studio out there simply has no interest in taking responsibility for their role in society. Of course that applies to most games and not just RPGs, and with the addition of stuff like acchiiiveementsss sometimes I fee like I want to puke out my pancreas for ever being involved.
[Post-post clarification] Rest is good. That's why I think games are important... just not ENDLESS rest. everything in moderation

Avatar: The Last Airbender
General | Posted 15 years agoTruly golden moments that speak volumes to the audience, often without even having to say anything.
Characters that take on a life of their own, playing out events in ways that are surprising and unexpected, while at the same time you sense that it is the only possible outcome that would have been genuine.
Writing that seems to genuinely understand what it means to see things from different perspectives and backgrounds.
A sense of timing, rythm, setting a scene, building a moment, giving one shot enough time to sink in and grow, giving action sequences an almost musical sense of motion and dance.
And of course things that are simply clever, touching, funny or just plain cool.
Storytelling at its finest.
Yeah... almost none of that was in the movie.
It was just an adaptation, like most adaptations, like when you say "the book was better"
I'm sorry Shyamalan. Some people have it, some don't.
(afterthought) (Oh yeah, and NEVER see 3D movies unless they were FILMED in 3D to begin with!)

General | Posted 15 years agoobsessive-compulsive time: Two of my favorites are missing! Considering I have so very very few favorites on my page, this makes me sad. I would like to at least know WHO deleted submissions (or who was deleted themselves) but furaffinity's folder system leaves no clue whatsoever about the nature of what was once there. I shed a tear for you (not literally), you, whatever the heck you were!
I'm back! (and probably broadcasting tomorrow)
General | Posted 15 years agoOk, so I'm finally working on commissions again.
I thought it would be fun this time around to broadcast via livestream while I work on it, as I've seen some others do.
Tomorrow's commission: Likeshine

Live stream commission work?
General | Posted 15 years agoShould I live stream my screen as I work commissions as I have seen some other artists do?
Would people watch?
Are there any of the people who have said they wanted commissions that would particularly want to watch it develop?
Any particulars on the best way to do it? (low intensity processing if possible, my computer's not all too powerful)
(Commission status: Still not quite doing commissions again just yet, first I need to repair my computer from the virus failure I got from that other evil art-posting website, then I need to notify previous requesters and see who's still interested)

Update
General | Posted 16 years agoOk, so I'm probably going to be doing commissions on the side, and it'll be about one a week. I'll add this to my routine as soon as I can, but that just depends on how quickly I recover from my current illness and also what my schedule ends up being.
quick commission blurb
General | Posted 16 years agoOverall, I'm never going to focus on commissions exclusively, but I still want to do some commissions at least occasionaly, even though they won't be at the top of my list of priorities. I want to make some adjustments in the way I handle commissions and make sure that whatever time I do spend on them will be time well spent. The first thing will be for me to decide exactly what kind of time I'm going to plan on spending on a weekly basis, which I fully decided yet.
F A is making me sad.
General | Posted 16 years agoI've been surprised with how many good artists there are, and so many of them are Watching me! which is crazy. What makes me sad is the fact that at most I can only spend a couple minutes a day browsing FA and I can't spend the time needed to look at all these great artists and write replies/thankyous/comments/kudos/threats/apologies.
To tetris fans: prepare for the best game experience EVAR!

General | Posted 16 years agoYaaayy!! I slid off the road and crashed into a wall!!
Excuses
General | Posted 16 years agoI work part-time (at most) because of problems with my wrists. My treatment does not yet make me feel better about working on the computer -- the source of my problem. So I think I need to put up notice that as things are looking currently, my turnaround for commissions will be slow at best. I’ll do my best and let you know if things change.
Commission Info
General | Posted 16 years agoI noticed that the Commission page in FurAffinity's system is STILL down, so I'll go ahead and post it as a journal entry:
