Posted 12 years agoHi there, i'm bored of the "hitting 41" journal being on the front page, so i thought I'd bump it down with some random stuff that's happened lately.
I've gotten a couple of great pictures from
he's a joy to work with and works pretty fast.
Pollen has started to attack me, last night and this morning my right eye had swollen up like i'd been punched in it. My hayfever's not been that bad since i was tiny.
I've seen a few films at the cinema this year:
Skyfall(awesome)
Oblivion(i really enjoyed this but other people say it was boring)
Iron man 3(good)
star trek into darkness(very good and respectful if not faithful to the originals)
After Earth(wooden acting, bird chase bit was awesome and seeing the earth teeming with life again was really nice. But otherwise not so great)
I'm planning on seeing world war Z in the next couple of weeks with friends(so no spoilers). Simon Pegg's The World's end after that and i've heard that the new superman movie is really really good. I wasn't interested at all in another superman reboot, but i may give this one a watch.
I went to a friends wedding and looked like a hitman in my black suit, first one for a while that actually seemed to fit me properly. I had a pinstriped one that was waaaaay too big but that's the perils of ordering online and measuring yourself with a tape measure i suppose :p
I'm going to Drayton Manor in a couple of weeks with friends and have tickets to see the Hoff in Peter Pan at Christmas

Hitting 41
Posted 12 years agoWell i hit 41 years old last month, it came as a bit of a shock as well. It seems like only a few months ago that i passed 40.
Things are generally good in my life, i'm loved and needed by
fardru and that's i'll ever need.
But i've noticed a change in the way i act on here now. When i actually bother to speak up or do anything i mean.
When i first joined i was happy to give encouragement and chat to people all the time, but since passing 40 and now 41*grumbles* the first thing i do is check a persons age to see if i'll look like a pervert for commenting or encouraging them. I know it shouldn't make any difference and it makes me feel old for acting this way, but if spot a person is under 20 i'll not comment at all. Sad eh?
Knowing that profile ages aren't exactly accurate on here doesn't help much either, so generally i steer clear.
I'm not actually down about being 41, it's just... well it's not as good as being 21 is it?
'I still have some good friends on here...' is what i was about to say, but i don't talk to anyone other than son-of-liberty anymore. So i guess i only really have one good friend. But that's my fault for dropping off the map and avoiding the place. But i still consider them friends and friends last forever in my book.
Do i have any advice for the young? Yes. Don't waste your youth, everything is much easier to do when you're younger. Things are simpler(though they wont seem like it till you're older). You can do something different each day and be who you want to be, when you're older it's much harder as you sink into a rut of work and sleep and forget how much fun the world can be.
I'm waffling, did you read this far? I'm surprised anyone's reading it at all.

I had some laughs with family members and workmates and got a card from Fardru and a letter from him that was the only gift i got and the only one i wanted.
Does being 40 suck? Yes:p
Would i go back in time and be 20 again? No, i'd risk changing something and never meeting Fardru.
Do i feel older? No.
Do i look 40? According to everyone "no way!" :p So that's lucky.
I'm now going to fade back into the mists and sneak around FA a little. *hug*

This isn't likely to be full of cheer, if i get through it at all i'd avoid reading it if i were you. It's mainly to see if i can finish it. I've had the worst year ever in my history.

Hate an entire country.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make any, i don't usually celebrate new years anyway.
3. How will you be spending New Year's Eve?
I planned to light a couple of chinese lanterns for me and with our names on and release them, but even that simple plan was spoiled by the windy weather we've been having here.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
None, just stayed here in wonderful England.
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?

21st of September. Why? Well it's the day that hope died.

Staying alive and sane.

Falling out of communication with and not being able to be there when he needed me most.

No it's been a good year health-wise.

*gasp* i forgot about these, i bought a set of stargate coasters! They're very cool but you wouldn't believe how much they ended up costing me.

My natural chirpiness has deserted me in the face of a prolonged exposure to a shitty world. I officially give up trying to make a difference in this negatively charged world.
One person cannot make a difference, no matter how hard you work or how good you are. Nobody got anywhere being the nice, i thought i did for a time, but it was just a fantasy, a dream of things never to be.
No matter how bad things get there's always further to fall, more pain to be had.
When you think you're at rock bottom and can't take any more, you cling to the hope that things can only get better.
Hope is the last straw we clutch at, the feeling that things will be okay. Hah.
Hope is the cruellest emotion ever.
When hope is gone you feel the pieces that used to be you fade into memory, i've changed so much over just the last 6 months i can barely remember who i was. It's easy at first to pretend to be the same on the outside, but it gets so much harder over time to keep doing it. Then you can't see the point anymore.
I miss Fardru.

A Fool
Posted 14 years agoI've realised that for years I've been intentionally distancing myself from friends. I remember going out to watch the grand national race once a year with a group of at least 15 friends, getting blind drunk and walking all the way home from Nottingham. No idea how i navigated but it must have taken me 4 hours ish to walk it.
I don't see any of them anymore or stay in touch in anyway whatsoever.
Some started families so i respected the time and effort in doing that and stayed away.
I have no idea what the rest are doing now but i hope they're doing well.
I realise now sexuality played it's part in this. I realised one day they'd find out i was gay and change their opinion of me forever. They'd not remember who i was, just that i was gay now and things would change. I'm a very....dignified person i like to think, i don't make scenes or draw attention to myself in public. (apart from at work where i'm an ass) I'm a gentleman and i like to believe i carry myself with good humour and class.
So being the centre of attention for anything is dreaded, being the butt of jokes is something i'd not want to cope with either. Coming out would cause who i was to disappear from peoples memories to be replaced with "He's gay" and nothing much else.
So i've pushed everyone in real life away and i've just realised i've done the same thing with online friends as well.
One reason for dropping the online world is the lack of my mate in it, I don't see the point of much without him to share it with me. Our communication is down to letters now as things aren't great for him at the moment, but he's safe and reasonably well. Missing him is a subject i try to avoid as he's the only light in my world.
It would be nice to knock on a friends door and talk without hiding things or being somebody i'm not.
But even if i could i've got nobody left that isn't a family member or workmate.
A lot has happened in the last few months and i'm not feeling the same inside, feeling yourself change is a very odd thing. I'm nowhere near the person i was even 6 months ago.
I remember the time when happiness, fun, optimism and hope weren't masks or pretences to appear normal in public. Smiling and being pleasant gets harder by the week. I thought i'd be the same forever, but the world has a way of grinding you down till you're just surviving.
But survive i will.
Don't think you have to comment on this, i just felt like i needed to write this down.
Oh and
is the best person in the world!

hasn't got net access at the moment and probably not for a good while, i'll admit this place seems a little darker without him around making me smile.

I can't honestly remember.....i'm going to say me.

Morning people are evil, never trust them.

Has to be Dru, i don't do that well

Me!! YAY!!! Oh....darn

I think we'd do the laundry as and when it needs doing, it's not like we'd be wearing clothes much of the time anyway.

I had two cats, one loved me and the other didn't like me. But i moved house and they both abandoned me and moved in with my mom! She lives only a few doors up from my old house and the cats all shared everyones house, but the one cat i managed to get into this house hated it and meowed his ass off to get out!
If i try to entice him in with food he just stares at me from across the road. Ass.

It was an eye opener for sure.
Boys as young as 11 are sold by their families to become dancing boys, they get money and the boy learns to dance and play music. They basically dance for large groups of powerful men and are used for sex afterwards.
It's not considered gay as these are "beardless boys" and seem to be classed almost as women over there. Powerful warlords would all have a dancing boy as a lover/prize/status symbol etc..

Nothing strange about that right?
Well firstly it's an American site so not a great deal of use to me, in the right column i noticed a featured pubs section just before i clicked off the site.
It was an Irish pub in Florida, i thought oooh Dru's in Florida and clicked it.

I've reached the end of my possible pictures to colour folder and done all the ones i wanted to.
As i always look in the same places for colouring possibilities i never find much new, or different.
So if you'd like to suggest a picture for me to add to my "maybe" folder why not let me know here?
It needs to be of a reasonable quality as i have to ink it etc, plus i have to get permission from the artist before i can do anything. But i might get some interesting suggestions.
Not overly complicated either if you don't mind, sometimes i like a challenge. But i choose those myself.
1 or 2 character pictures would probably stand more chance with me at the moment.
This of course isn't a guarantee i'll do it, i might loose motivation again. But when i'm motivated the folder is the first place i look.

Signs of future gayness?

Our ages ranged from 5-15 ish in the photos and i noticed something. Two photos had early signs of gayness in them.
One of Drus had him holding a large bright pink hand fan in front of him.....he alleges his mom made him hold it....
Mine was the gayest thing i've seen, i'm mowing my parents lawn in tight blue shiny short-shorts and a T-shirt.
I honestly thought: "God, was i that obvious to anybody else?"

The game that sucked so much of my life finally has a sequel on the way!
Test Drive Unlimited absorbed so much of my life back then, i even held the number 1 spot in the rankings for the around the island race for 6months(ish). Till they released a download only version of the game and somehow now everyone is setting times minutes quicker than mine.
I'm not even in the top 1000 now
It's a very small claim to fame i know, but i'm proud of that in my little silver Enzo.
The next version doesn't come out till the end of the year....but WOOOOOO!!
Finally all the rumours are true!
TDU2 is coming!
Dru is gonna hate it, i lost so much time in the original. I supposed i'd better get him over here before it comes out or he'll never see me
Also needed to bump my last journal down and didn't wanna remove it so i could update it if anything happens.

Posted 15 years agofucking fat behemoth woman 2 doors up has spent all day jet washing her garden, this wouldn't normally piss me off but it seems between burgers and McDonalds trips she decided to jet wash the entryway bit.
Very nice of her you'd think, but noooooo during her lard induced cleaning frenzy she's pressure washed a load of shit under my gate! Bitch.
only sorted all that lot out last weekend as well.
I've just swept it out of my yard back where it came from, twice while in the kitchen i saw her staring across the garden at me saying nothing. That pissed me off more, she knows what she did but no apology or anything.
only downside the neighbour next door had nothing to do with it, they've now got the shit on their path. At least i had the decency to keep it to the edges.
the neighbours came home and i think i heard godzilla talking to them. Nobody knocked on my door yet. tossers.

I couldn't afford to get another one done, plus i'd need to add about 40 more people to it now. So any nice people.
But i realised something while looking at it, i still like every single person on there. Sure there's been some drifting apart, switching positions and even falling outs. But i still love the picture and like everyone in it.
The new AUC reflects the changing laws around the world and FA has to adapt to survive.
Shota/loli mature stuff will be a no-no, this includes thinly disguised children as furs with just ears or tails glued on.
I always thought this was borderline for a furry site so i can't blame them for protecting us and themselves.
Artists that draw this stuff will feel like it's a witchhunt, but it's not. Times are changing and new laws are coming into play.
Will cubs be next? They're getting legal advice on that now i believe, so i don't know.
Would i miss cubs in mature situations on FA? This might shock you but i wouldn't.
Anything removed from this site will always be available elsewhere. But i don't see the changes as the massive issue others do.
