Have just about all of my commissions out of the way, and gotten a lot done in a short amount of time! Feeling my oats a little, and planning on opening up for more!

And, since Feb is coming up, I plan on taking it back, as it were. February is bow FebROOary and is all for Roos! I will do as many Roo and Roo themed commissions as I can, which is why I am opening now! I'd like to thank everyone for bearing with me these last couple weeks. After what my family and I were just through, I needed a few extra days to get myself back where I need to be, and get my head bac in the game, so to speak.

I'm getting back to work so those that have commissioned me can look forward to updates very, very soon.

Want to finish up the commissions I have in my queue right now before I start, so I'm looking to start on any I get next week, so nothing is coming up immediately.

Let me start out by saying thank you to everyone that contacted me, it's been a joy getting to know people and learning about them and their characters. Also wanted to thank so many people because I not only have enough for one Roster, but 2 full rosters!

Well, it's a start.

Managed to get a number of commissions done and ready to mail out, as soon as I find mailing emvelopes that will be able to stand up to the rigors of mailing...of course, any suggestions anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated!
I can't tell you how worried I am that I'll mail something out, and it will arrive mangled and maimed and folded into a little swan.

That would be "Origami Fail" to any LOLCats that might be reading. ;)

Of course, as I get some out...I hope to take some in sometime in the near future. But I'd like to get a couple more finished up before doing that.

All right...here's the months following AC in a nutshell:

Returned to work only to find out that they needed me for overtime. A ton of overtime. We're talking 13 days in a row with a single day off, rinse and repeat.
Needless to say, it sucked. Seriously sucked.
...And not in a good way (get your minds out of the gutters, furs! ;3 ).
I was able to work on some of the commissions I had piled up in my que, but by the time I was ready to get them scanned and sent out, I found out there was something more in store for me, courtousy of the old JOB.

On a side note, I learned not to be fooled. JOB is a 4-letter-word, everyone. Don't let it fool you by looking like an innocent 3-letter word. Oh no...it's trouble with a capital T and that rhymes with P and that stands for Pool.
(A cookie to the first fur that can tell me from where I've shamelessly cribbed that little beauty ;3 )

Then...out of the blue, just as I thought things were starting to quiet down, they tell me I have less than 2 weeks to get everything packed up and moved so I can report to a new location.
Again, needless to say, I was a bit nonplussed at this turn of events. You'd think that they could at least give me a little more warning. Though I found out I was luckier than some...my supervisor was transfered about 4 years ago, and she said she was only given 48 hours notice.
Small blessings I suppose....

On the other paw...I suppose the transfer was a good thing and a bad thing all in the same convieniently small package. I was converted to Part Time for the transfer...which means I have more time to work on art and commissions. But, I was converted to Part Time, so I need to find a little something to make ends meet.

As it stands now, I have 4 badges and 7 commissions that are just about ready to be sent out...as soon as I have a working scanner so I can get that all-important final approval.
So.....within a few days, I hope to be opening myself up for a few more commissions-probably only about 5 or 6 (more if I get a lot of badges), on a first-come, first-served basis.
