General | Posted 2 weeks agoHeyo everyone, just letting ya know that we're belting out the last of the work from our previous queue, so I'm giving y'all a 2-week WARNING that our next queue is gonna be opening on December 13th!
Prices are going up $40 across the board, so badges/simple illustrations start at $220, illustrations w/ backgrounds start at $300, and reference sheets start at $340
We're doing an unlimited queue this time -- though I do impose the rule that you only apply once per group of people, so that way individuals can have a turn, and so can an entourage; but one cannot apply for multiple jobs for just oneself!
You still get 1 extra character for free, and Brennan (my fursona) doesn't count towards that total and he is for free; no you cannot multiply Brennan and have him play several roles in one image, I'm onto your tricks.
I'll be uploading the new price sheet later today as an FA submission~ The same info's gonna be uploaded to my telegram announcement chat, which if you're looking to get a slot, I'd recommend you join, since it's pretty easy to get lost in notifications elsewhere: https://t.me/BrennansArtWharf

The queue we're working on is just about done! and I'm excited to open for another round of jobs!

I don't think we're changing our price models this time around -- maybe just upping the rates on sequences images. Planning on limiting the queue to 50 entries this time, too. I'll be picking among those 50 to see which ones I wanna do! The idea with that is still keeping the queue number big, and let folks who might not be ready to work this round have not too long of a wait until the next one. I wanna give it a go, see how it feels! And if it sucks, I'll just go back to an unlimited queue again. If you got any questions at all about procedure or what you want drawn, send it my way and I'll do my best to reply! Take care until then, friends <3

We should have this one wrapped up lickity split. Hoping for it to maybe take 6-7 months! Can't wait to get working with you friends and make some more kick/lick-ass art!~

I thought it'd be a good idea to copypaste the questions that y'all'll fill out tomorrow! I think things should be a lot less stressful this time around, though, as the commission order is randomized, so nobody has to hurry to get their ideas in as soon as possible to the opening time. The rest is business as usual: the window's open for 24 hours and we don't take the money up front! I made some of the questions a little clearer, since some folks didn't post their or their friend's socials, or how they wanted to be tagged and it caused a little bit of headache for when I had to upload stuff. I also do prefer people drag and drop their refs into the commiss.io file bin provided through the listing instead of, say, dropbox links or googledocs! Using those won't hurt your chances of getting a slot, but, they make things a little harder for me than just dragging and dropping thru to commissio! Anyhow, I'm rambling, I gotta give you guys the questions to look at!

It's gonna work the same way as it did last time: I'll take on any job that I think sounds fun. You can submit as many ideas as you want, however I'm only taking on one idea per submitter!
The submissions window will be open for 24 hours, from Saturday to Sunday 5pm Central. The order by which I'll get things done hinges on how soon your idea is submitted. You can take a peek at more details pertaining to the terms and conditions right here: https://commiss.io/listings/paK1

Gonna Start Thinking of Commission Opening Date
General | Posted 2 years agoWe're down to our last 14 jobs! I thought it was high-time to start loudly wondering about what day we're gonna open again.
I'm aiming for the third or last Saturday of January: either the 20th or the 27th! It all depends on when we finish the last of these projects! I can't wait to work with y'all again on some new ideas, with friendly and new faces alike.

Rethinking How I Open Commissions!

So, it is March 2nd here -- we got started on this commission queue's work in Late December, close to New Years.
We're at #23 now
We have 107 jobs remaining.
Now, this isn't a Burn Out journal or anything -- I'm sincerely having the time of my life with working like this. Everyone's ideas are brilliant, and everyone who's on here is being very patient with me.
However! I still worry nevertheless that I could be doing something a little more differently. More... better, if you will.
I'm thinking about limiting the applications that can come in thru Commissio per opening: Would y'all be okay with the window for submissions closing at, say, 20, 25, or maybe 30 slots?
There'd be some other rules imposed, like perhaps a "Queue Cooldown," where a commissioner could only apply every other queue, or maybe a rule against a commissioner appearing in art more than once on a queue. Rules like that might be lighter and less strict the closer we hover to the 30~ limit. But I'm just spitballin' here!
At least, if this method doesn't work out, it's only a couple dozen slots and we can go back to turbo commission slots again.
With all of this being said, it's probably gonna be a year until I can actually implement any of this, but, let me know what y'all think!

-I don't charge money up front so it costs nothing for you to ask for a slot -- payment's only collected once you approve a sketch while we're working on your job!
- Once the 24-hour window closes, I'll be spending all Sunday evening and night writing messages of approvals and denials to everyone who submitted ideas through commiss.io, and I'll include in those replies a link to the public Trello workboard, where you all can track how the queue progresses.
- And that's... pretty much it!~ 24-hour window to submit your commission ideas and specs, no money up front, I'll get back to you on your approvals when the window closes, and I give you your number in line. Simple stuff! I'm really excited to work with you guys again, hah!

Taking a Two Week Trip for my B-Day!

I'm about 20-jobs done with this 60-person queue, but work is gonna slow down for the first half of June! Now that I'm vaccinated, me and the boo are gonna take a quick trip to the east coast and say hi to my family and some of his. I'm bringing my laptop to help get as much as I can finished, but I can't promise I'll get *much* done...! Thank you for your patience with me everybody!
