When Wolfie and I left the house our stuff was still there. Now that we're trying to get it all back they want to give us a line of crap. We got our clothing and a few small things but they kept most electronics, destroyed her digital camera and kept all the pets. We think Typhon is the one putting up the largest fight, but Sonic and Latex aren't helping out much. Alan is the main one I talked to and I have chat logs of what was said. Here's a list of what's still missing of ours:

I give up.

It's been another 3 days since Wolfie and I have eaten. I so want to just give up. The guy we were supposed to rent from is continuing to hold our $400 (has to stop payment on the supposed check he sent us) and crap, so we can't get any food. I just want to throw my hands up, give up and give in. The only thing stopping me is my wife, and she has been sick because we have no food.

Lost my job at the farm, so we're losing our ability to get food and stuff. Just when I thought things were going good, got kicked again.

So I went to start the new job and found out I got blackballed because of my background. Sucks. Well, I ended up getting another job at a horse farm and then today I got confirmation that I got a gig doing some video editing or an up-and-coming R&B/Soul artist this next weekend. Hopefully we can get our own place quickly since we don't want to wear out our welcome with our friends.

Also, I'm going to go on my soapbox here for a moment...

We're homeless but living with friends. My wife is trying to do icons for $1 to help us get a little money saved up. People asking for money to get to a furry con have no support from me when we're trying to get the money together to GET A PLACE TO LIVE.

We're at a friend's house until the middle of November. Not sure where we are going after that, however. No money still, no car and no jobs doesn't make it real easy to get a home. Will update later.

We're in Columbus now with a friend, but we have to get in to another place tonight. Going to try to get a hold of my mom to see if we can get up there, but not real sure if it'll happen or not. Anyone have crash space if we can get there? It's Wolfie, myself, 9-week old puppy (house-broken/car-trained), 1 ferret (de-scented/neutered) and 2 birds (weirdos). We have very little stuff (3 bags of clothes, couple of small duffel bags, laptops, computer and a TV). This is all we got out of there, but I am eternally grateful to pelzig for helping us out with it and enduring a cramped car ride from WV to OH in the middle of the night. Still needing help with donations to pay Pelzig back for the gas he used to get us here. No donations yet.

We got evicted. We fought the eviction but lost. The landlord got a sucker punch in by having our truck impounded due to a dead inspection sticker. To make it worse, we have 3 pets, us and some clothes/laptops (in bags) that need to get to Columbus, Ohio. If anyone can give us a ride, please let me know ASAP. We were put out at 9AM this morning.


Edit: And we can't stay another night where we are, we were just advised. So it has to be ASAP.

Edit 2: We have a ride thanks to Pelzig. If anyone is willing to chip in gas money, that'd be awesome. We can't pick it up at WalMart until tomorrow, but at least we can pay him back. If you can help, note me directly.

Another year older, another year of life. 33 years ago today I was born. I feel old now.

Life is life. Our cat Sophie died last night. She was sick for a while, but last night she was too weak to fight it off and she left us. RIP Lady Sophie.

Other news: Fire dept. life is still good. We have our Gun Bash this Saturday and bingo with the ambulance tomorrow. That's keeping us a bit on the busy side.  ladywolfie and I did inventory on all the fire trucks and checked the PASS units. Found one that was dead, so we OOS'd it. Nothing else exciting there. Just a small brush fire and a minor accident with a drunk (she drove off the road in to a ditch).

Other than that, nothing much else going on.  ladywolfie lost her job at Subway, but we knew that was coming. The ex-boss is a total hypocrite and crook and when she wasn't taking his crap any more, we knew it was just a matter of time. Luckily we have some open opportunities that are coming our way. He even changed the combination on the shop beside our house while we weren't home so we can't get to our stuff that is in there.

1.Attend meetings, trainings and fundraisers. Arrive early and stay late.
2.At meetings when voting yes for something make sure you will be available to commit to helping. Otherwise vote no.
3.After meetings or the next day, say thank you to... your directors and officers for their continued service. Remember they are not getting paid to be there either.
4.Take part in company business. Be pro-active instead of re-active.
5.Pay attention at meetings and trainings and ask lots of questions.
6.Show up for all types of calls. Even the "routine" ones.
7.Co-operate. TEAM players are always required.
8.Help when someone asks and offer help when they don't.
9.Educate your self not only in dept. business but in all aspects of business.
10.Accept an office position. Your ideas are important.
11.If appointed to a committee make it a priority and give it your best. DO something with it!
12. Give more than just what is minimally required.
13. Take pride in your commitment and your accomplishments.
14. Give others their moment to shine.
15.Acknowledge all those who support the dept. both financially and personally.
16. NEVER EVER GIVE UP! if something is not working then find a new approach. It is my hope that we can all remember to stay positive even in the worst of times because every cloud still has the sunshine behind it.

3.When at a business meeting, vote yes to everything and then do nothing to help.
