I think I’m going to be taking a break of sorts. My boys have reached an age where they want to play video games with me in the evening. And I'm not going to turn them down. As such my unfinished story pile has done nothing but grow, as I have the time to get the rough draft down but my boys are filling the time I would use to polish and finish the tails.

I will still be writing and adding to that unfinished pile. I will likely post a few shorter stories which are easier to get finished. But while my boys are willing to play I’m going to put them first. When they’re done being boys, I’ll get back to finishing stories.

I will continue to commission and post art.

Well, I'm a month into unemployment, and I'm just now getting back into the headspace where I'm enjoying writing again. Hopefully, this means more stories will be on their way. Also, fingers crossed that new work is coming in my direction, I wouldn't say no to a prayer or two.

I do hope everyone's enjoying spring or fall.

With the new display names feature I’m opting to switch to my typical handle of Figmint. I know Figmint exists as a user on this site as I created the account, but it’s linked to a long dead email so it’s inaccessibility to me.

I might just have no artistic taste, but the April fools font is growing on me.

It’s been a little over a year since I started posting. It’s still kind of hard to believe that I’m writing. Harder still to believe that I’m sharing those writings. Yet this past year, I have written and posted over 360 thousand words and deleted oh so many more in the process.

I want to say thank you. I still remember that pit in the stomach anxiety that came from posting my first story. To a lesser extent it still follows every post. To everyone who has viewed, faved and commented on my works thank you, you’ve helped fill that pit.

I especially want to thank those of you who have followed me. Volunteering to see everything I create. It’s an amazing boost to my confidence.
