Need character name suggestions
Posted 2 years agoI want to come up with a new name for my character Llenn the otter, depicted in these artworks:
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/45219086/
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/45093741/
Her name is too similar to a character from pop culture, and it’s upsetting me, so I want to change her name to something else, but I can’t decide what.
Some names I’m considering are “Pepper” and “Sherbet”. Do you like or dislike either of those names? Please tell me in the comments.
Do you have any name suggestions of your own? If so, please comment those, too.
The only rules are the name can’t start with “L”, and it can’t have a double L in it anywhere. Other than that, there are no rules, go wild!

About the Magicritters (my OCs) and Their World
Posted 3 years agoI originally wrote this as a comment but I liked it so I decided to share it here too :3
My characters are all Magicritters. Magicritters are shape shifting, sapient, cartoony animals with magical powers. They have one main form, but they can shapeshift into other species at will.
They live in a utopian world called Magicrittopia, where everyone lives comfortably with all their needs met, everyone makes a strong effort to understand and sympathise with those who are different before considering judging or condemning, and everyone's sovereignty over their own bodies is respected.
The Magicritters defend Magicrittopia from Devils. The Devils dislike Magicrittopia's "decadence" and "sissiness". The Devils always lose, because Magicritters are much more powerful than them.
My sona is Buddy the Unicorn: He is very sensitive and feels both physical sensations and emotions so intensely that it can be immobilising. He is smart and creative, but because of how exhausting it is living with hypersensitivity, he is too burned out to use his intelligence in a productive, focused way. He is basically Llenn and Curios' pet - they like to pamper him and care for him, and he happily obeys them and follows them around everywhere. He has a natural affinity with fire, but he hasn't learned how to use his fire magic effectively yet, so it tends to explode in his face a lot of the time. But Llenn and Curio are patiently helping him to learn how to harness it~ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/46451644/
My OCs are:
Llenn the Otter: She is playful, fiesty and full of boundless energy! She is kind hearted and good at understanding others, and she makes sure to help them feel comfortable and included. She can find the fun in any activity, from a wild party, to relaxing quietly in the garden. Taking charge comes naturally to her, and she is usually the dominant one in any friendship or relationship. She has a natural affinity with water and can cleanse, purify and forgive others with her water magic. She can also use it to wash away abusive or malicious people with magical tsunami waves! https://www.furaffinity.net/view/45219086/
Curio the Fox: He is wise and patient, but cheeky and mischievous at the same time. He loves playing harmless pranks and generally acting as goofy as possible. He is by nature very gentle and docile, not easily annoyed. But if anyone threatens his friends or loved ones, then he will fiercely protect them and hold nothing back. This cuddly trickster is more powerful than he looks! He has an affinity with light, the sun and the stars. He is able to protect anyone with an impenetrable shield of golden magical light, and repel beings of darkness and heaviness with his mere presence, as he radiates glowing luminous energy. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/46785523/
Petal the Deer: Llenn and Curios' other pet, who loves to hang out with Buddy. Shy and withdrawn around strangers, but comfortable, relaxed and coy around trusted friends. She does everything in a slow and gentle way. She is neat and tidy, and loves to look beautiful. She has a natural affinity with plants and fungi, making her an excellent gardener. She is able to use her plant magic to heal others, both physically and emotionally. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/46883272/

Away for 3 Weeks
Posted 3 years agoI am going into a hospital to try to treat my depression, and I won't have my iPad with me while I'm there (mainly because I'm afraid of it getting damaged or lost).
Because of this, I won't be able to do any digital drawings until I get home. I might still make sketches on paper, but no proper, finished digital drawings.
I will probably be there for about 3 weeks.
Thanks for understanding ^w^

Dear Human (Poem That I Wrote)
Posted 3 years agoDear human,
I know that you mean well. But I still can't trust you.
I've been hurt by your kind before. I know that cruelty and impulsivity is in your nature.
I know you're trying to fight against your nature. But I know you can't always win.
I can't risk being around you the one time that you lose.
I want you to talk to me, but I mustn't let you.
I want you to hold me, but I mustn't let you.
I want you to play with me, but I mustn't let you.
The world is such a lonely and joyless place.
Life is hiding. I wake up. I hide. I stay perfectly still. I wait for it to be over. That's what life is.
I know you want to prove to me that it's not like that. I want you to prove it to me too. But I don't believe you can.
I'm sorry, human, but I don't think you can fix me. I don't think I can give you your happy ending.
I know that you mean well. But I still can't trust you.
I've been hurt by your kind before. I know that cruelty and impulsivity is in your nature.
I know you're trying to fight against your nature. But I know you can't always win.

101 Dalmatian Street Comic Script
Posted 3 years agoThis is the script for a comic that I want to make, some day. I hope you enjoy reading it:
----page 1----
PANEL 1
Summer and Spike are hanging out together on the beach at night
PANEL 2
Suddenly, a net falls on top of Spike
PANEL 3
A zoomed out view reveals a dog catcher, who has caught Spike in his net. Spike is kicking and struggling to escape
PANEL 4
Summer lightly bites the dog catcher on the arm
PANEL 5
The dog catcher drops the net in shock
----pg2----
PANEL 6
Spike slips out from under the net
PANEL 7
Spike runs along the beach, towards a rocky outcrop, Summer close behind him. The dog catcher is chasing them
PANEL 8
Spike leaps up onto the rocks
PANEL 9
Summer jumps towards the rocks…
PANEL 10
The dog catcher swings his net towards Summer, to try to catch her in mid air.
----pg3----
PANEL 11
The net narrowly misses
PANEL 12
Summer lands safely on the rocks
PANEL 13
The dog catcher looks up at the two dogs on top of the rock formation; in a thought bubble, he imagines falling while trying to climb the rocks (the contents of the thought bubble should be in a super simple art style, like a road sign)
PANEL 14
The dog catcher walks away, looking defeated
PANEL 15
Spike and Summer are left panting as they stand atop the rocks together, exhausted
----pg4----
PANEL 16
Spike: He almost got us this time, Summer.
Spike: It's not safe here anymore. Not since he moved in.
PANEL 17
Summer: (sighs sadly) You're right.
Summer: We better look for a place to stay.
PANEL 18
Spike and Summer both howl together.
PANEL 19
A dog in a nearby farm hears their howl.
PANEL 20
The farm dog repeats the howl.
PANEL 21
A playful, stylised road map shows the howl spreading from Cornwall all the way to London.
----pg5----
PANEL 22
Delilah, Doug, Dolly and Dylan are sitting on the rooftop, listening intently. A howl sounds from a building in the distance.
PANEL 23
Doug: I’m picking something up!
PANEL 24
Dolly and Dylan look overjoyed.
Dolly: Spike!
Dylan: Summer!
PANEL 25
Dylan: Can we invite them?
Dolly: Pretty please?
PANEL 26
Delilah: I don't know. The house is pretty full already…
----pg6----
PANEL 27
Dolly: But mum!
Dylan: They need our help!
PANEL 28
Delilah: I'm just teasing~ Go ahead, you two.
PANEL 29
Dolly and Dylan hi five each other.
Dolly and Dylan: YES!
PANEL 30
Dolly and Dylan howl out the window, replying to the message.
----pg7----
PANEL 31
It is a sunny morning. Spike and Summer are standing outside the front door to 101 Dalmatian Street. Summer knocks on the door with her paw.
PANEL 32
The door swings open, revealing Dolly and Dylan, with a big pile of excited dalmatian pups behind them.
Dolly, Dylan, and all the pups: "Welcome!"
PANEL 33
Summer and Spike giggle with amusement.
PANEL 34
Summer: Thanks, you guys~
Spike: We appreciate you giving us a place to park~
PANEL 35
Dolly and Dylan look at each other and smirk.
Dolly and Dylan: Uh oh. Trigger word!
----pg8----
PANEL 36
A stampede of dalmatian pups carry Dolly, Dylan, Summer and Spike out the door.
All the pups: PARK! PARK! PARK!
----pg9----
PANEL 37
Dolly and Spike are walking side by side together through the park. Dolly is showing him various places.
Dolly: These hills here are perfect for skating.
Spike: Sounds fun, Dolly!
PANEL 38
Dolly: This is the canal. Perfect for dive-bombing and covering Dylan in dirty pond water~
Spike: (laughs playfully)
PANEL 39
Dolly: And these trees here are perfect for parkour.
Spike: Eh, I might be a bit heavy for that.
PANEL 40
Dolly smirks.
Dolly: Won't know until you try~
PANEL 41
Spike smirks back.
Spike: Okay, you're on~
----pg10----
PANEL 42
Dylan and Summer are walking side by side together through the house. Dylan seems very eager and excited, while Summer just has an amused, patient smile.
PANEL 43
Dylan: So here is the fire extinguisher for floor two…
Summer: Good to know~
PANEL 44
Dylan: …And in this cupboard is the other other first aid kit…
PANEL 45
Dylan: …And on this whiteboard, is today's timetable…
Dylan: …and tomorrow's timetable…
Dylan: …and relevant emergency contact numbers…
PANEL 46
Summer rolls her eyes, a patient, amused smirk on her face
----pg11----
PANEL 47
The sun is setting outside 101 Dalmatian street
PANEL 48
Inside, the pups are all having dinner together. Spike is sitting next to Dolly, while Summer is sitting next to Dylan. Summer looks a little more tired than usual, but still happy
PANEL 49
Summer: Thanks for dinner, Dylan
Dylan: Not a problem~
PANEL 50
Dylan: Sorry. I know kibble's not that interesting. I'll try to get you something better tomorr-
PANEL 51
Summer puts a paw on Dylan's nose to shush him, making him blush and smile sheepishly.
Summer: Shh. Kibble's perfect~
----pg12----
PANEL 52
Suddenly, Delgado starts speeding across the room, sparks flying from his wheels
PANEL 53
Dimitri 1, Dimitri 2, and Dimitri 3 chase after him.
Dimitri 1: WEE WOO! WEE WOO!
Dimitri 3: FREEZE! YOU'RE UNDER ARREST!
PANEL 54
Summer covers her ears with her paws. A drop of sweat rolling down her face.
PANEL 55
Dylan chases after them.
Dylan: Delgado! Stop! You're going to damage the-
PANEL 56
Delgado runs head first into a pot plant, smashing the pot into pieces with a loud "CRASH" sound.
----pg13----
PANEL 57
Delgado, Dimitri 1, Dimitri 2 and Dimitri 3 stand in the pile of dirt, leaves and broken pottery, guilty grins on their faces, as Dylan's voice is heard from out-of-frame.
Dylan: -plant.
PANEL 58
Summer quietly walks away up the stairs. Her head looking downwards and her tail between her legs.
PANEL 59
She has left her food bowl behind, still full of kibble.
----pg14----
PANEL 60
Dylan opens the door to the guest bedroom.
PANEL 61
On one side of the room is a bed with a blanket covered in drawings of stars. A telescope is laying on a table next to it.
On the other side of the is a bed with a blanket covered in drawings of waves and surfboards. Resting against the wall, next to the bed, is a big surfboard.
In the centre of the room is a big window, overlooking the street. Summer is sitting at the window alone, looking out of it sadly.
PANEL 62
Dylan: Are you alright, Summer?
Dylan: You didn't touch your kibble.
PANEL 63
Summer stands up and turns to face Dylan. She gives him a tired smile.
Summer: (sigh) It's okay Dylan, the kibble's fine.
----pg15----
PANEL 64
Dylan: Are you sure? I can try a different brand if you want?
Dylan: Or maybe a different bowl?
Dylan: Or perhaps I could work on the presentation?
Dylan: I *had* wondered whether-
PANEL 65
Summer suddenly snaps, shouting at Dylan.
Summer: Ugh, just stop talking!
Summer: It's nothing to do with the dumb kibble!
PANEL 66
Dylan looks stunned and dazes. Tears well up in his eyes.
PANEL 67
Dylan runs away out the doorway, while Summer watches, reaching out a paw to try to stop him, but it's too late.
Summer: Wait-!
PANEL 68
Summer looks off into space, a guilty and compassionate expression on her face.
----pg16----
PANEL 69
Establishing shot of Dylan's treehouse
PANEL 70
Dylan is sitting in his treehouse, next to his telescope. He is staring at the ground sadly. His ears drooping down and his tail flat on the floor.
PANEL 71
His ears perk up as he hears a "knock knock!" on the door.
PANEL 72
Summer opens the door slightly.
Summer: Dylan, I'm sorry.
PANEL 73
Dylan tries his best to put on a happy face.
Dylan: It’s alright.
----pg17----
PANEL 74
Summer: No, it's not alright.
Summer: You've been nothing but kind and generous to us.
Summer: I had no right to speak to you like that.
PANEL 75
Summer looks down at the ground, ashamed.
PANEL 76
Dylan gently puts a paw on her shoulder to reassure her. She looks up at him, smiling tearfully.
Dylan: Apology accepted~
PANEL 77
The two dogs sit, facing each other.
Dylan: But, Summer…
Dylan: I can tell something's up. Is there any way I can help?
PANEL 78
Summer: I'll be alright. It's just…
Dylan: Yeah?
----pg18----
PANEL 79
Summer: Well, back home in the country, it was so quiet most of the time, that when something crazy did happen, I was ready for it. I could keep my cool so easily.
Summer: I guess I'm just struggling to adjust to all the noise and activity here at 101 Dalmatian Street.
PANEL 80
Dylan: Oh believe me, I know that feeling!
PANEL 81
Dylan and Summer both laugh.
PANEL 82
Dylan: But, I think I might know someone who can help~
----pg19----
PANEL 83
Establishing shot of the backyard, the next morning. It's bright and sunny. Dylan and Summer are standing next to each other, both facing Deepak.
PANEL 84
Deepak looks overjoyed. His eyes are sparkling like a kid looking at a Christmas present.
Deepak: You mean… you want to learn the Wow of Meow?
PANEL 85
Summer nods.
PANEL 86
Deepak: From… me?
Summer: Yep~
PANEL 88
Deepak jumps for joy!
Deepak: This is the best day EVER!
PANEL 89
Dylan raises an eyebrow.
Dylan: Uh, Deepak. Not to question your methods, but aren't you meant to be teaching her how to stay *calm*?
----pg20----
PANEL 90
Deepak clears his throat. He tries to look all uptight and serious, but his tail is still wagging.
Deepak: Ahem. Right. Yes. Sorry.
PANEL 91
Deepak: Let's start with some breathing exercises!
PANEL 92
Deepak and Summer are shown breathing deeply, with one paw on their chest.
PANEL 93
Deepak and Summer are shown facing each other, doing a yoga pose. Summer is trembling a bit, struggling to balance.
PANEL 94
Finally, Deepak and Summer are shown sitting cross-legged meditating next to each other.
----pg21----
PANEL 95
The lesson has just ended. Summer and Deepak happily wave goodbye to each other for now.
PANEL 96
Dylan walks up to Summer.
PANEL 97
Dylan: So, how did it go?
Summer: It went great! Thank you, Dylan.
PANEL 99
Dylan: Well, it was really Deepak who-
PANEL 100
Summer: No, I mean, thank you for everything.
——pg22——
PANEL 101
Summer traces her tail under Dylan's chin, making him blush, and making his tail wag.
PANEL 102
Summer walks away, her tail gently wagging
PANEL 103
Dylan stands there staring into space, his eyes sparkling with joy
PANEL 104
Suddenly, a huge bucket of water is tipped over Dylan’s head, making him jump in surprise
PANEL 105
Dylan, dripping wet and unimpressed, turns around to see Dolly and Spike standing next to the empty bucket, laughing and hi-fiving each other
----page 1----

PANEL 93

——pg22——
PANEL 101

PANEL 102

PANEL 103

PANEL 104
Suddenly, a huge bucket of water is tipped over Dylan’s head, making him jump in surprise
PANEL 105
Dylan, dripping wet and unimpressed, turns around to see Dolly and Spike standing next to the empty bucket, laughing and hi-fiving each other
Would You Be Interested in Reading Fan Fiction if I Made ...
Posted 3 years agoI am thinking about maybe writing some 101 Dalmatian Street fan fiction. And if that goes well, maybe some Paw Patrol and Spyro the Dragon fan fiction as well.
It will mostly be cutesy slice of life or romance short stories, and mostly in present tense.
I like present tense, because it makes me feel closer to the characters when I’m writing. I feel lonely a lot of the time. Writing characters in present tense makes me feel like I’m there with them, it feels like being in the presence of a friend, and enjoying watching them be themselves.
Present tense does come across as more “cringe”, but you know what? I am cringe. And I want my stories to be an authentic expression of myself. So I want them to be cringe!
So anyway, would you be interested in reading these stories, if I made them? :3
I don’t need a big audience, but I do need an audience. If one person comments on each of my stories, that would be enough for me. But if I get zero comments that would be a bit disheartening.
I just need to know that one single person out there wants to see my dorky puppy stories, and that would be enough to keep me going :3

I Want to ___, But I'm Not Good Enough"
Posted 3 years ago"I want to draw this picture I have in my head, but I'm not good enough at drawing, so I can't".
"I want to write this story I have in my head, but I'm not good enough at writing, so I can't".
I have these thoughts constantly, and they're so infuriating.
I know that what I have to do is to draw/write anyway, and just ignore the thoughts. Because the only way I will get better is practice.
But the problem is, the creative part of my brain is a shy little puppy who only wants to come out of his kennel and cooperate if my mental environment is calm, happy and inviting.
If there's even a hint of fear of failure in my mind, then my creativity puppy turns tail and runs back into his kennel.
And no matter how hard I try to force myself to draw or write, I can't produce anything without my creativity puppy.
Do any of you have this problem? How do you make your creativity puppy feel safe enough to come out of his kennel and work with you?

Why Cartoon Porn and Feral Porn are OK
Posted 3 years agoALL pornography is used to groom kids. Not just porn of cartoon characters. Groomers use anything and everything to groom kids. The way to stop that is not to crack down on art, the way to stop that is to crack down on GROOMERS. It's exactly the same as cars. People get hit and killed by cars, but the answer is not to crack down on cars, the answer is to crack down on BAD DRIVERS who use cars incorrectly. The art is not the problem, the groomers are the problem. Punish the groomers, not the artists or viewers.
ALL furry porn can be considered "sexualising animals". By that logic, ALL furry porn is zoophilia. The average non-furry person can't tell the difference between anthro and feral. Mainstream society sees both anthro and feral as being "sexualised animals" and "adjacent to zoophilia". And they are wrong on both counts. People who have sex with actual, real animals are zoophiles. People who fantasize about cute cartoon animals with sparkly anime eyes are not zoophiles, regardless of whether the sparkly cartoon animals walk on two legs or four. Feral artists are no more zoophiles than diaper fetishists are pedophiles.
If we ban porn of cartoon characters because "it can be used to groom kids", then by the same logic we have to ban all porn.
If we ban porn of quadruped characters, because it is "zoophilia-adjacent", then by the same logic we have to ban all furry porn altogether.
I'm seeing this idea that "feral art is bad" or "art of marketable cartoon characters is bad" more and more frequently on social media, and it's a very dangerous, neo-conservative, puritanical movement which threatens anyone who likes anything that isn't completely vanilla heterosexual real life humans.
I don't know what happened to "your kink is not my kink and that's okay", I don't know what happened to "everything that happens between consenting adults is okay", but I think we need to bring those ideas back. As long as you're not drawing actual real individuals without their permission, you should be allowed to draw anything.
No one should be made to feel like they're dangerous and unloveable because of completely fictional fantasies which they didn't even choose to have.
Don't give in to the anti-feral crowd. Because if you give in to them, then they will come for anthro next. And then they will come for kink in general. And then they will come for LGBT, in general. We are the first line of defense for society's sexual freedoms and we must not give up any ground.
Real life abuse is wrong.
Fantasy and fiction is okay.
That's that, there's no bluriness here, there's a clear sharp line. Defend that line.
