I was doing SO well on Tentacles in the Tide Pool! Then I got to the last page and just stalled ^^' Well it's finally wrapped up! No more "To Be Continued!" I hope you enjoyed it.

~~4 months later~~

WELP. I'm making another comic! 🤡

I got an inspiration for a villain, and I really wanted to show a particular scene where he works his villainy! This time, though, I've at least learned A BIT about how to make my process more efficient. The quality will be a bit lower, but honestly, if that's what it takes to get a story out in under a year, I'm willing to do it!!

Suffice it to say, I'm really excited about my villain idea! He's a comic-book-style mad scientist character with mind control tech, and he's looking for some beefcake in spandex to turn into a new henchman! I've already got a bunch of it done, and I can't wait to show it!

Aaaaah!! The Crypt of the Hungry Lich is finally finished! Haha - I never imagined that would take as much time and work as it did, but I'm proud of myself for finishing. Now I'll NEVER do anything that ambitious ever again! Haha!

Honestly, thank you to everyone who gave me words of encouragement to complete it. It's easy for me to get the feeling like my drawings don't matter to anyone, but the comments really motivated me, and made me want to give you all a good show!

I think I learned a lot too, while I was working on it. It's pretty clear my drawing style was changing dramatically throughout as I tried different things 😅 But hey, I never promised anyone consistency!! :3

Now I'm looking forward to some variety in my content for a change!! As you might have seen, I'm working on a new character - A semi-sci-fi-Superhero! That ought to be a refreshing change of pace for me! I have a million ideas I'd like to draw, and hopefully with what I've learned doing this series I'll be able to get my ideas out onto the page a bit easier!

I'm also curious if anyone had any ideas for other directions the Crypt of the Hungry Lich could have gone. Did you like my story (Please be gentle! I'm just an amateur!)? Or maybe is there something you were hoping to see? I might be able to incorporate those ideas into stuff I do in the future.

Hi! Remember me? I'm still going! XD It's no secret that in my life, I only rarely have time to do artwork, and obviously these past months have been no exception. I'm working SO HARD on other things in my life, but my other projects are finally starting to ease off a bit. I'm feeling so accomplished about those other things (House renovations, and game development mainly!) but also I'm really happy that I've been able to find some more time to draw.

As per my usual style, this most recent entry in the Crypt of the Hungry Lich went through SO MANY iterations before I was happy with the pose. I'm not a great artist, but I am persistent!! It's kind of funny looking at all the scrapped poses I went through. Maybe I'll share them in scraps somehow. I'm really happy with how it finally ended up though! I hope you like it as well!

I actually have 2 different ideas for the final fate of the characters in that story - I'll just stick to my original idea, but who knows what could happen in the end? ;)

Ooookay~ So the end of my lich series is in sight! I reckon there's about 3 more frames to go. I know I'm a very slow artist, but getting closer to the end makes me feel motivated!

I'm getting excited thinking about what I'll work on next! I think I'd like to do something sci-fi, or maybe a superhero... Or both! But should I make a new character or just put Butch in a new outfit? Hmmm...

Well, you know what my next projects _won't_ be? A fricken 10+ frame comic! 😆 I just want to make some one-shot pictures for a while!

Oh man 😅 I've known for so long what I want my next drawing to be, but I've been having SO much trouble depicting it. You know, for every picture I post, there are surely 3 or 4 half-finished alternate versions! I wish I could just upload directly from my imagination- It would save me so much time! 😆

I've been stuck on the next frame of Crypt of the Hungry Lich for so long, just drawing and scrapping, trying to find a pose that looks right. But tonight I've finally had a breakthrough and I'm really happy with how the new pose I tried worked out! I think it should be ready to post pretty soon!

Thanks to everyone who's sent me positive comments since I started drawing again~ I just draw as a hobby and I never thought anyone would even notice if I just stopped posting art- But lately I've had some really nice comments from people saying they're looking forward to my stuff- It really motivates me to work harder! 💪

To be honest, one of the big reasons I left the Butch-vs-Lich series for so long was that I legitimately didn't know where to go with it! 😅 Not even I know what will happen to the poor, ambushed hero.... I drew so many test sketches of different fates- But now that I'm finally brushing the dust off, I'll probably have something figured out soon!

Well, I think I might give poor Butch a break and work on some more light hearted images for a while before I finish that comic, just for some diversity in my gallery :)

I've been thinking about trying to design an ally for Butch- Or maybe try something in a wrestling or superhero theme!

So I uploaded the first few panels of my comic today! Oh man... Haha! Looking at them side-by-side really shows me how inconsistent my art style is. Oh well, I'll still do my best and hopefully I'll get better over time! And I hope you guys like the story I have planned.

Whenever I draw, I keep my "Toony Butch" drawing nearby. I'm so happy with how that one turned out! I hope some day I can make another drawing I'm so happy with.

Me: I should scale back my expectations for what I'm able to accomplish so that I actually manage to finish art projects

So yeah, I've got a lil comic sketched out about Butch's new nemesis, and now I have to ink and color it all! 😅 Luckily I'm still motivated! I'll finish and post the first bit ASAP so that the partial storyline motivates me to finish the rest too. I hope you guys will like it!

I'm thinking about making a villain to be Butch's arch nemesis... But what's a good foil to someone with big muscles and unlimited stamina?

Ha! My drawing abilities are so inconsistent! Now I'm just trying to replicate the toony style of my last pic, and I can't do it! 🤣 Yeesh- I wonder if I should just post all of my junk sketches to scraps so you could see what I mean...

Yes, I'm still here! Believe it or not, all these years without a post I have been trying to post artwork! I have a whole bunch of art projects I started and then decided they weren't very good. I'm sure my main problem is that I work my drawings to death. I draw something that I think is good, and so I try to put a little bit of extra work into it to make it fancy, and eventually it just looks kinda meh. With my Toony Butch picture, I tried to limit myself about what I was going to put into it, and I actually like the way it turned out! And much faster than usual too :) I hope people like that style, because I would love to keep doing that.

I guess it goes without saying that my opportunities to do artwork are rare... I've done a lot this year- Bought a house, got married, learned to drive... And I kept faithful to my gym routine! So, as you may have noticed, my art has stagnated.

But today I've been stranded in an airport for about 14 hours with only a pencil and paper to entertain myself. So I finally got some art done! I did a little comic about a first time in zentai. It's quantity over quality (anatomy? Scanner? What are those?) so I'll put it in scraps. At least it's something! I hope some of you guys like it!

I'm also getting started on a little storyline for Butch, but I want to polish that one a little more before I post it. Stay tuned! (But don't hold your breath!)

Hey! Hi! It's me!

Happy new year! I've been busy with all sorts of things lately, and while I regret not having much time to spend on drawrings, I don't regret the other stuff I've been doing instead! Let me tell you about it ~~~

So as a bit of background, and a shocking reveal, I am not in reality a very Buff Fellow (So shocking!! So revealing!!). I'm more of the skinny wimp variety. But last year I started going to the gym, and then in October I doubled my routine- I'm starting to finally see some lasting results! After going my whole life with bony arms and legs, I can't tell you how exciting it is for me to finally get some curves! I mean, I have a long way to go- But I'm really motivated now! WE CAN DO IT!!

It might sound silly, but my biggest motivation is that I want to be more huggable. As a skinny guy, I've always felt.... sharp ^^'

Speaking of hugs, I'm working on a fursuit of a beefy character as well! So just in case my real muscles are too slow I can always slap on some foam and make believe I'm big for a little while. And now, with any luck, I'll be able to swap out some of that foam for my burgeoning muscles-of-me-meat!

At any rate, I hope you all have a great year! Beefy hugs!

If I could travel back in time to correct a mistake of my past, on the list of possible choices would be returning to the time where I was thinking "I need a villain for the next picture... Hey, why not just have like 5 or 6 mudmen? That'll be easy to draw because I can just take the paint tool and go spluuuuuuuuurb- Mudman!"

With a nostalgic BAMF, future-me would spring from the time vortex in a futuristic, chrome, time-traveler jumpsuit, and slap the pencil out of past-me's hand- "NO! That's a bad past-me! Think about how hard it will be to colour and shade all those intricate, squidgy shapes you're drawing! It takes DAYS and they still turn out looking like pooh! Literally!"

So, that's why I haven't posted anything in a little bit. Mudmen.

Also, I think I ought to give my buff fellow a name so that he's easily referenced in natural conversation and image descriptions.

I think I'll call him Butch...

Blargh! I was never a very prolific artist and now I remember why! My creative process is a whole lot of erasing or Ctrl-Z-ing! I'm definitely the type who tries to make something perfect, but the more I work on it, the weirder it gets. Huff... Well this journal is just to say that I'm not idling! I do have things in the works! They just keep getting tossed out ^^' Here's hoping the next attempt sees the light of day!
