So, Guttsu is a good friend of mine. He's having a lot of troubles at home and is planning on moving out in just a few months, so he can study (his parents aren't going to let him if he stays home). However, he is young and having trouble figuring out what he's going to do exactly, and so far his best option is government housing of some sort.

Guttsu's only source of income is art commissions! So, I'm trying to share his profile around to raise awareness of his situation and get some help. His art is incredibly good and generously priced for the skill of his art. If you are interested in a realistic, beautiful piece of art, please consider commissioning him. Money troubles: My family of four has under $20 to last until the 17th. That's less than $20 for food and necessities for four people. On top of that, our gas company is going to be shutting off our gas within the week. I'm taking these commissions because having money in paypal will enable us to buy food and necessities via online shopping at our nearby supermarket.

So first, ref sheets.
I will no longer be taking ref sheet commissions of any size. They cause me a great deal of stress and artistically drain me, and I really don't like how they turn out. I'm just no good at ref sheets, and will no longer be offering them.
I may make exceptions for loyal customers, or for a higher price, but even then it will be a hit-and-miss kind of thing.

As a result to closing ref sheet commissions indefinitely, I have decided to open up a new type of commission: sketch pages.
The price will vary from about $20-$30, depending on the number and types of sketches. The base sheet would be 4 sketches with at least one full-body and the others of your choice, at $20. Price would go up from there.

I'll throw together some examples and post a new journal later, and edit my commission info.

My flu has lightened up considerably since my last journal and so has my overall mood, so my brief hiatus is over~! (Really was brief wasn't it?)

As of late I've been run-down with a flu and some other stuff. I'm seeing counselling but it's only helping slightly, otherwise I'm suffering on my own. Until I get out of this rut, I'll have to take a break from art.
My heart's just not in it at the moment and I can barely get out of bed some days because of both my personal issues and my flu, and I can't produce work for the sake of work, as my quality will suffer. I'm sorry to all my commissioners and people I owe art to, but I'm hoping I can at least clear up this flu by the end of this week, at the latest, so I can start producing art again.
I feel awful about this whole thing but I can't focus on art, and again, I don't want to be producing complete crap just to get it out, when I can hardly get out of bed.

Vliflen (Main Species) Info

---

Basic Info/Random Facts:
-Although they have been spotted in other parts of Scandinavia, it is rare to see Vliflen outside of Iceland and Norway.
-They live in large families and breed for life.
-The longer and brighter the male’s tongue, the more chance he has of attracting a potential mate.
-They are omnivores but eat mainly game like deer and rabbit.
-The common bread is the half-furred breed, though there is a highly rare volcanic bread that can be found only in Iceland.
-They walk on all fours, but can stand on two and use their front hands to carry things.
-The men can carry up to three times their own weight.

Appearance:
-All Vliflen have green, gold or red eyes.
-All Vliflen have wings.
-Fully-grown, male Vliflen are around 2.5 metres tall when they stand on their hind legs, and around 2.0 metres when on all fours. Females are larger, standing on hinds at an average height of 2.7 metres (though they are known to reach 3.0 metres) and 2.3 metres when on all fours.
-Vliflen are often coloured in blues, blacks, whites and greys, though it is not uncommon to see them sporting colours that use blue as a base, such as purples, greens and aquas.
-Both genders have the same fur coverage, but there are differences in the mane. Female manes do not meet in the centre of the neck, whereas males’ do.
-Both genders possess horns, and sometimes females will possess larger, more magnificent horns than males.
-There have been extremely rare cases in which ancient Vliflen have grown to the size of young elephants. They also possessed massive horns and wings, both of which do not stop growing at any point for either gender.
-Vliflen often sport spots on their fur and masks either reaching or covering their eyes.
-Vliflen don’t all necessarily have tufts of fur on their heads, and it is not uncommon to see this in Vliflen. When this occurs, the fur will reach the nape of their neck.
-Vliflen have heightened senses of smell.

Breeding and Young:
-When a male manages to attract a mate, the two a paired for life.
-Vliflen often have between 6-8 young, and form strong emotional bonds with their families.
-If a Vliflen’s mate dies, it will mourn it, and won’t ever move on.
-Female Vliflen lay eggs, which take four months to hatch.
-It takes newborn Vliflen three days to learn to walk, a day to open their eyes and around a month to fly.
-Vliflen young rely upon their parents to feed them for a year after hatching, and even then they can only gather plant life for themselves.
-They begin to hunt for themselves at two years of age, and they learn by following and hunting with their parents.

Social Habits:
-Vliflen are known to be ingeniously sociable creatures and are rarely seen angered.
-Vliflen communicates in many different ways, and possess the ability to whistle like birds.
-They are often heard imitating tunes and bird calls.
-Vliflen have never been known to speak.
-Vliflen can sense things such as emotions, and it is theorized that this is why they had friendly relationships with humans in the past.
-Vliflen become anxious around humans despite being easily able to defend themselves, and often draw their family group close together or hide altogether. However, they have no such worries with any animal as of yet.

Dieting:
-Vliflen eat a large variety of food.
-Vliflen mainly eat game such as deer, and seem to enjoy hunting.
-Vliflen are known to eat tree bark and occasionally knock trees down, for no apparent reason other than to relieve boredom.
-Vliflen have strong teeth that could chomp through steel.

Mistrust in Humans:
-Vliflen were known to inhabit Iceland before foreigners arrived.
-When Norwegian Vikings settled on Iceland in the late 9th century, Vliflen would often socialize with them and act as a sort of feral pet.
-Some ancient Vliflen have been spotted covered in decorative paint. The first Icelanders would often decorate the Vliflen in ceremonial paintings and jewellery.
-After Christianity began spreading out to Scandinavia, Vliflen began being hunted for sport, and the numbers were drastically affected.
-What was left of the Vliflen went into hiding, and after a while they were forgotten.
-The Vliflen that survived the extinction scare and were around when the first settlers of Iceland arrived are the oldest Vliflen alive, and some can be seen in the paint they were decorated in.

Volcanic Vliflen (Sub-Species) Info

---

Basic Info/Random Facts:
-They’re not very visually similar to their cousins.
-Volcanic Vliflen and Common Vliflen are much like Polar Opposites.
-They are completely carnivorous.
-These Vliflen are found only in Iceland.
-They live near active and inactive volcanoes and can also be found near hot springs.
-They are drawn to heat, and hibernate during the winter.
-They can only fly after dousing themselves in water and cleaning all the volcanic substances off their body, so they are not often seen flying.
-They bathe a few times a year.
-Bathing can actually be finicky for them; the volcanic substances act as a second skin, and this leaves their actual skin extremely sensitive.
-Despite their second pair of eyelids, they are known to have poor eyesight. As a result, staying still in an unlit area may be enough to throw it off its prey’s tail. But they do have heightened senses of smell, like their cousins.
-Their second eyelid is almost always closed and makes their eyes appear black, excluding the iris.
-These Vliflen require high amounts of heat to survive, and can only spend a few hours away from heat sources before dying.

Appearance:
-Volcanic Vliflen have absolutely no hair on their bodies.
-They have a type of natural armour plating covering most of their body.
-They are a lot skinnier, shorter and longer than their cousins, and are rather snake-like.
-They have two sets of eyelids; the inner one is transparent and shut most of the time, to shield them from ash and whatnot.
-Volcanic Vliflen are known to be mostly blacks, whites, and reds, but ash and soot often hide most of their natural colour and they often appear all black or all grey.
-They have much less-pronounced nostrils than their cousins.
-They’re wings are smaller in comparison to their cousins.
-Male Volcanic Vliflen have feathers on their heads, necks, heels, backs, tails and shoulders. Females have no feathering.
-Their feathering serves the same purpose as a male peacocks; to attract a mate. The brighter and bigger the feathrs, the larger chance of attracting a mate they have.
-These Vliflen can in fact survive under intense heat and are known to 'swim' through volcanic lava.

Breeding and Young:
-Breeding takes place in the spring and young Volcanic Vliflen are always hatched at the start of summer.
-After breeding, which is a violent act for this bread of Vliflen, the female kills the male and hatches her young.
-After laying the eggs the female Vliflen will consume them whole. The shells are indigestible and often cause blockages and pain for the mother.
-They only take two months to hatch.
-Volcanic Vliflen have approximately 3-5 young.
-Upon hatching, the newborn Volcanic Vliflen eat their way out of the mother then devour what is left.
-The mother swallows her eggs for a variety of reasons; leaving the eggs on their own would make them an easy target and if she were to be vigil over them she would be unable to absorb the heat required to survive, and she incubates them in her stomach.
-Unlike their cousins, Volcanic Vliflen hatch with their eyes open and are completely independent.
-Volcanic Vliflen young will live and hunt with their siblings for around four years, which is when they are able to breed.
-When a clutch of Volcanic Vliflen young reach the age maturity they turn on each other to claim their deceased parent’s nest.
-The victor is the only one surviving.
-There are a few cases of surviving Vliflen fleeing from their home nest and slowly dying from exposure, rather than being killed.
-Despite the ability to be left unharmed when in contact with volcanic/molten lava, Vliflen eggs cannot withstand it and are kept away from it.

Social Habits:
-Volcanic Vliflen are constantly aggravated and should be avoided at all costs.
-They are extremely territorial.
-They are not known to terrorize human populations, but they will attack when something ‘invades’ their territory.
-They are known to screech, and have a laugh similar to hyenas.
-If Volcanic Vliflen come across another one of their kind at any time other than mating season the two will fight and the victor will devour the loser.


Dieting:
-These Vliflen are purely carnivorous and cannibalistic.
-They are known to scavenge carcasses.
-They are excellent at hunting and stalking their prey.
-If they are hunting a creature larger than them, they will stalk it for days before attacking.

-There is no ulterior way of owning a Vliflen without receiving one from me. Free Vliflen’s will be made available through auctions, raffles, and as Adoptables.
-I will also accept payment for a Vliflen.

If You Purchase a Vliflen you will Receive:
-The power to create your own Vliflen, limited to the Vliflen characteristics (unless purchasing a pre-existing one).
-Full ownership over you Vliflen, with the right to resell it at no monetary gain for yourself.

Naming Your Vliflen:

-It is understood that although Vliflen do not name themselves or others, the Icelandic people who first bonded with them did in fact give them names.
-Try to keep their names lore friendly; Icelandic/Norwegian names are welcome, as well as names from other Scandinavian areas.
-If you're stuck on names you could try a name generator, or ask me for assistance.

Creating a Vliflen Family:

---

-Vliflen are social creatures and live in large family groups. You are free to pair your Vliflen with another person’s or with another one of your own, and children are permitted.
-When creating children, do not go under or over the amount (6-8) and try to make sure they inherit something from their parents while still not changing the Vliflen characteristics.

Reselling Purchased/Received Vliflens:

---

-You are free to resell purchased Vliflens, so long as the buyer agrees to the terms written in this document and contacts me, and you are not selling it for a price higher than you paid for it.
-You may not sell Vliflens you received for free. You may return it to me so I can reuse it, or trade it to someone else so long as you ask me first.
-You may not sell Vliflens, Vliflen designs or Vliflen artwork in any way other than the way previously stated. This means that you cannot sell them or art of them in books, as prints, etc.
-You may use Vliflen artwork legally under your ownership for personal use such as desktop backgrounds, prints for your room/home, etc. But again, you may not sell it.

Vliflen Traits/Characteristics are Not to Be Altered:

-Vliflens have set colour codes that allow a relatively free palette.
-Vliflens may have spots on their fur and lines on their scales.
-Vliflens tongues may be any shade of red and any (reasonable) length.
-Volcanic Vliflens can possess feathers on the previously appointed areas.
-Just stick close to the description.

Having Rare Vliflens:

-At this point in time, no Ancient Vliflens are permitted to be used as characters unless you receive one from me.
-If you would like to add something not stated here, you must ask me first.
-Volcanic Vliflens are rarer than the common Vliflen, so fewer will be available.

If any of the rules are broken, ownership of the character/s will become null and void, meaning you forfeit legal ownership over the character.

How To Request Art

To request art from me, you must first check whether Requests are currently open or not (check on my main page). IF Requests are open please note me and explain to me at least a basic idea of what you want. This can include but is not limited to: the type of request (meaning the style, the shading, the colouring, etc.), references to the character/s you want drawn/painted, the activity or pose you wish to be depicted in the image and anything you deem is necessary to include.

Importance of Checking the Queue

---

I try to keep my queue as updated as possible. After you have requested art from, commissioned me OR won a free slot on an art piece from me, you will be added to the queue. Please be warned that I may take anywhere from a day to a few weeks to complete an art piece, so checking the queue will let you know: If I have started your piece, the priority of your artwork, and how much has been completed if it has been started (out of a percentage of 100). I try to be swift with completing artworks, but please keep in mind that I go to school, am currently job-hunting and do have a few dear people in my life that require attention. If you can't get a clear enough insight from the queue or am interested how I am doing, please feel free to note me

Reposting Art I Have Drawn for You

I encourage you to repost art I have drawn for you. Firstly, please note that you must credit me and include a link to my main page or my gallery in the description, and tag my username. Secondly, note me (with a link to the art piece on my gallery) to the image or comment on the submission itself (again, on my gallery) before you repost it, so I can give you a yes or no. If I give you a no, then you may not repost the particular image to your gallery.

If you ignore these terms or repost without my consent I will have the image removed by admin and you will be blacklisted.

Cancelling or Refusing your Requests & Commissions

---

Please understand that as an artist, I have a right to refuse your requests (this includes commissions). After you contact me and we work out all the details (or enough to start on the piece), I will put you straight on the queue. However, if we are working through the details and come to an impas (as in, I am not comfortable to draw a certain scene but you refuse to change your mind), I will and can refuse to create your art piece. However, it is highly unlikely that I would refuse, so don't let that scare you away. If you don't think I will draw your request, just ask; I am not judgmental and will give you a simple answer or offer an alternative.

If you feel I am taking too long with your artwork, note me and ask about. I do have a habit of disappearing offline for sometime, so you may have to be persistent. But, please do not assume that I have cancelled your art piece. IF I cancel your art I will note you and tell you, so don't worry. I take time to do art pieces, but I will not cancel without first alerting you. Again, this is highly unlikely.

If I feel you are being unreasonable I will cancel your requested art piece and refuse to service you any further, unless you change or give a satisfactory apology for the behaviour that got your request cancelled. Being unreasonable can include but is not limited to: Harassing my friends or I to make me rush on your art piece, stalking me or making me feel incredibly uncomfortable, and so on. I will worn you if I feel you are pushing me to cancel your request, and give you chances to clean up your act. Please note that this partially applies to commissions, however if this does take place you forfeit a refund and receive no art. I will remind you of this before I cancel.

Purchases and Payment Plans

If there is a piece of artwork I have offered a certain number of slots on and you find yourself late to the queue I may give you a bonus slot for a small fee. However, this is a maybe and you must contact me for more details.

If I am offering adoptable for purchase please understand that payment must be made within 24 hours of receiving an invoice or the adoptable may be forfeited and sold to another interested party (unless other arrangements have been previously discussed, in which case you must have discussed them with me within a 12-hour period.

I understand that money may be an issue so a Payment Plan may be acceptable. If you wish to create a Payment Plan please note me and discuss your dilemma so we can figure out something that works for the both of us. Upon receiving a Payment Plan you must fulfil all terms discussed within the plan or the purchase will be cancelled and you will receive a full refund UNLESS the artwork has been started/there is another buyer for the adoptable.

Please note that I will only accept payment directly through Paypal, from your Paypal balance. Commissions will only be started after I have received the payment. Please note that when you send the payment you must list it under "Goods and Services."

Rights

---

If you request art from me, your are receiving that art under a personal use license. This means that you may not reuse my artwork for commercial profits or profit from it in any way/form.

Again, you may repost the artwork after receiving my permission with credit to me in the description, my username in the tag and a link to my main page or my gallery.

If you sell your character that I have created artwork/s of you may not transfer ownership of those created artwork/s to the new owner of the character, unless you are transferring the ownership of the artwork/s without any monetary gain to yourself. You must include a link to my Terms of Service in the exchange and the new owner must agree to them before ownership takes effect.

No artwork/s I have created may be sold or given to anyone on my blacklist at any time. Do not waste time asking (If you would like my blacklist you must note and ask for it, and you must give me a reason as to why you wish to view it).

Blacklisted

---

People who are blacklisted will be unable to receive any art by me after being blacklisted, though any previously received art still falls under the same rules as above. However, they may not be reposted any further than after the blacklisting.

By breaking any of the above rules you will have voided my Terms and Conditions and will find yourself blacklisted. IF you continue to display abhorrent behaviour/violation of my TOS, you will find yourself reported and posted to Artists Beware, to warn other artists of your wrongdoings.

Once blacklisted, you will not be returned to your previous status and will remain blacklisted indefinitely UNLESS contacted by me and told otherwise. Please note that I will warn you before your blacklisting.

The Terms of Service found within this document are subject to change.
