Furrydelphia 2017
Posted 8 years agoSo I made a last minute decision to go to furrydelphia and I have to say I absolutely loved it. I went in practically knowing nobody but I came out with so many friends. Going to this brand new con after having done FWA 4 months ago was a huge change of pace but I liked it! Got so many pictures most of which are on my Twitter but when I get home I'll try to upload some up here.

Introducing...
Posted 9 years agoSkylar Siviriko my new husky character. He's a blue and black husky with red on the ear tips and on top of the muzzle (red means "pet here"). Other details will come as they get developed of course. Personality wise he's assertive and outgoing and much more confident in himself than blust is. However he can get insecure and will not like to admit when he has a weakness of some sort. He always likes to seem strong and dependable to those around here.
Now I have also decided for the time being that my default fursona will be skylar. Blust will not disappear but instead be an alternate/RP character. This was not an easy decision considering I have just been an otter for like 5 years already, but I started to.create skylar and I fell in love with him and just being him so I figured I could give it a try and see how it goes.
I'm sure many of you will still call me an otter for the time being at least for a whIle and that's okay. It'll take some getting used to for me as well. :)

Posted 10 years agoSo right now I really feel like I need to just vent a little. I don't really know where my life is going right now. I graduated college 7 months ago and I just don't entirely know what my career is meant to be.
I got a degree in television production with the idea that I want to be an editor. I still do...I haven't stopped loving editing. But it isn't that simple. They don't just make job listings for editors, you apply and bam now you're one. I recently applied to a job that was like that but it was a one in a million listing. It's so hard to find jobs in my industy and even when you do its extremely difficult to actually get in.
One thing I noticed in school was that there were all these people with all this experience and such and I just don't have that. Everyone had equipment and resources that I just simply can't afford. I fear the longer I am out of school the worse my skills are going to get when they already weren't that wonderful to begin with.
Recently I have been questioning whether this is the right field for me entirely. I really do love languages an interest that only surfaced itself for me a couple of years into college. But the problem with that is, I don't have the education or the training to do anything with it. As much as I would love to go back to school and learn more about languages and linguistics I just simply can't afford that when I'm already deeply in debt with the schooling I already completed. And besides even if I were to pursue that route I would hate to render all that work I did in school completely useless.
I just...really don't know what to do with myself...

Graduation
Posted 10 years agoSo tomorrow i'm finally graduating from college. It was a long four years and i'm in 40K of debt but I did it. I have a cumulative GPA of (so far) 3.84. I still have a few grades that i'm waiting on but it won't be too drastically different. I will have a bachelor if arts in video/tv producton with a concentration in production and post-production and a minor in music. I am also graduating magna cum laude as well. I'm really excited.

What the hell?
Posted 11 years agoThis morning I woke up to 5 new watchers, and of course I went around and thanked them. Now they're like unwatching one by one, what the hell? (None of them had a "do not thank for watching" thing, so that's not it).
