Well, my first con, or anything in several years after some horrid events that caused my to become a self induced hermit. I still like my privacy, and don't see that changing so radically so soon, but I enjoyed myself more than expected.

I pissed $20 to the wind at the dollar store, and got large print animal coloring books, and cheap ass (I mean CHEAP ASS crayons) and ripped out all the tiger pictures making them into Bujo's. I saw a few other people get the idea, and start to color as well. Hell, I loved the idea, and am bringing simple coloring books to the next con for everyone as well!

Went to the Old Spaghetti Factory... Wow nostalgia at it's finest. I've not been there in 20 years, and DAYUM the food is still great. This is now a GFM tradition for me. I love that place.

I made the entire dancefloor stop for a moment sat night swinging poi glowsticks in suit. I forgot that fursuits do in fact have super powers like that... Sheesh! *blushes* But no seriously, if you find that video SEND ME THE LINK! D:

I met a weasel stuffed inside a hyena! Though I didn't get to spend as much time with them as I would have liked, I see the window of future opportunity. (Yea you know who you are if reading this!)

And so much more that I'm sure I'll recap on as it comes back to me. I did have to work at 5am all weekend, but squeezed out some fun times for sure. Next year, I'll be a bit more prepared I hope, and have even more epic plans cooking! Just remember, 'With the power of imeowgination, anything is possible!'

It would be nice to figure out how to get an online game going.

For those that care, I'm still around. Yes, I've been absent from most everything for some time however... My silly crafting projects, my chainmail, my endless list of hobbies... It's all kinda stopped for me while I simply try to rebuild things for myself. Long story short, I'm trying, and finally getting somewhere.

So this is the first year in a long time that I've even considered being able to go to a con. Yup, I can afford it, but life has dealt me a shit hand once again and some degenerate jackoff subspecies of human fucks stole my scooter, the thing that's kinda my only form of transportation besides the horrid bus. Cut the $45 Masterlock cable/lock combo with what appeared to be a hacksaw clean through. I've been zipping around on this because in this state it's considered a "Motorized Bicycle" and thus does not need plates, insurance, or even a helmet (though that is stupid and I always wear one). It's cheap, and easy, and works for now. I can't just "not have nice things" hell, I can't even have fucking things it seems.

So! With a bit of wisdom under this aging cats belt, I've devised a plan. I get a quarterly bonus from my work, and will be purching a new bike, 150cc (faster) and this one will need plates. Who cares, that means it will be insured this time, steal it all you like. BUT:

-A motion sensor light has now been installed... With twin 150W spotlights that are like the fucking SUN itself
-I have bought a Pragmasis Protector Chain. Look this up, British made, and "Uncroppable by all hand operated bolt cutters". Seriously... Look this up, it's worth it.
-I have another high security motorcycle chain and lock as well, that is still tough as shit that was given to me
-I'm have MORE chain from the hardware store, the biggest they sell. (Yes it's bolt cuttable for sure) but there is a WTF 3 chain factor going on to anyone that sees this
-I now have a Xena disc brake lock/alarm at 110 decibels
-I have a cover with a locking cable drawstring
-This is chained to an 8in thick concrete pillar that supports the porch

Does this seem like overkill? Let's go on!

A group of kids aged 10-15 have been scaling my 6 foot wooden fence and flat out invading my yard. (I do not live in a great neighborhood) Police have been far too slow to respond twice now, the first time it happened was the night of the scooter theft. Now, the landlord had put 4" screws all into the top of the fence, and painted it with thick ass nasty tar. I love the way he thinks... But see here's one up on that: I'm getting more tar, and lord knows there is no shortage of broken glass in my alley. With a precise mixture of tar AND broken glass, I will repaint the tops of the fence... And fishhooks, Maybe fishhooks... If I can find them in bulk. Anyone?

Now see here's my ideal rundown of this... The entire time this horrid loud beeping is going on someone has to get through 3 chains, and that disk lock, to roll the bike away, while nightblind, while I'm out the door using a brand of OC spray that police do not carry. Military grade, because it's so ignorantly horrid. While I'm aiming oh let's just say some over a buck a shot hollowpoints at them with my oh so inquisitive WTF face on.

This is where life has pushed me to. Yup. Sounds insane to ME even that I have to begin to think in such a manner for securing a shit ass 49cc scooter. But I'm flat out tired of being fucked with. I will stave off the stories of my last house being broke into, a guy shot in my front lawn, and another scooter going missing from there before I moved. Lateral slide much?

Folks I'm sorry but I'm not going to be able to make MFF this year. I have other financial things I need to focus on, like assembling the last bits of this ignorant ACME based security plan for securing another bike. Live goes on, there will be other cons. On the plus side, I may start posting more projects soon, and for those local to me I might have a few more Game Nights in the future... We will see.

So the determining factor if I get to go to MFF this year or not is if I can find someone to split room costs with. I was looking at prices and while I do have the cash this year... It's simply far too much to spend just for myself. I'm a quiet cat, and generally only use the room to sleep/eat/shower in. I spend most my time AT the con actually. LOL Imagine that, right? I will be attending Fri, Sat, and Sun, into Monday. 3 nights total. So if anyone is interested... Please send me a note on here and maybe we can get something set up!

So about three weeks ago to the day I hosted  aaroncianci and  narge for a night as they passed through on their way to their new home in Las Vegas. A hail went up on Second Life that they needed a temporary place to keep their two cats, Milo and Cleo, until the deposit for pets could be paid. The original person had to cancel on them last minute. Seeing is how I'm a cat person (ya think?) and I'm usually the helpful type I volunteered.

About the second day I noticed Cleo's nipples looked a bit large, she was overly food aggressive, and looked a bit 'round'. With both animals not being fixed I put one and two together pretty fast lol. I let Arron and Narge know as soon as I had my suspisions.

Well if the gestation period for a cat is 9 weeks and she was barely showing when I found her condition, the deadline was coming up fast. I've had my paws crossed hoping she'd make it the duration of her stay and not pop! It was quite a challenge, I'm sure, for Aaron to find a company that would transport her in this condition as well.

They just left for Vegas. I'm typing this 10 minutes after the fact. Although it was pretty stressful having 5 cats (one of which technically belongs here) in an apartment I will miss them. Milo, who I instantly favorited, ended up taking second place to Cleo's charm. She's really alot more friendly than all the growls would let you know!

So say a prayer, do a tiki dance, chant an incantation of what have you and wish them luck on their two day adventure! And for dear lord let her make it to Vegas without popping!

I'm trying to wrangle up some pull tabs and save for the promotional backback they are offering... Any tab off of any monster they say on the site. (it does not say anything about the caps from the bigger ones though) I drink the stuff religiously and have scrounged up 30 of the required 60 so far! If anyone else out there drinks it could ya save the tabs for me? I'm willing to send you out an envelope (postage paid) to get them back to me in lots of 5 or 10. Ages ago I used to have a DnD set. I'm not sure if I even played it correctly but I remember having fun when I did. I've been recently looking at a few free DnD "virtual tabletop" programs and thought it would be fun to perhaps start an online game. It would be neat to connect with more of you on a different level.

I've also been enlightened to various furry adaptations of DnD. I believe I can find the info on this again if need be. While I"m not exactly sure how to run a game anymore I'm a damn quick study. So here's the rundown of my madness.

1. I need someone that is willing to DM or knows enough about the game to help me figure it out.

2. I need the books or a link to a file online that has the same info. (I may be able to find this myself with a bit of homework)

3. I need suggestions from people on an appropriate medium to play this on. (what program to use)

4. I need a few people interested in starting a campaign and muddling through this.

I'm usually not one to spam everyone with the various troubles of my life but this is semi important I feel. Up until now I've been staying with my parents on an agreement that I attend school in exchange for a place to stay. As of the end of next week this will not be the case. This posting just solidifies my commitment in my own mind.

There is a large convenience factor for me staying here, although I'm stuck out in the sticks. My school is rather close, and being this far away from things keeps me out of trouble. This is simply no longer a healthy environment for me. I've been sleeping 2-3 hours a night and waking up with anxiety attacks for the past two months at least. The belittling and condescending nature of my parents is intolerable despite my best (and worse) efforts to have them treat me like the adult I am.

I have a multitude of personal problems going on currently. No I don't want to "talk about it" so save that nonsense for someone else. My troubles are my own. Period. Thankfully I have a few true and absolute friends to rely on while I straighten myself out.

I'm many things I'm not proud of but a liar is not one. I make this promise publicly... On my life I will not let those who have, and continue to help me out down. There is no force on this earth I've seen stronger than my own will power and to do so would be failing myself.

You know who you are and this is not something I say lightly, or often... Thank you from the depths of my soul. I will not fail and I owe you a solid.

So I've been down in one of my "funks" here recently. It's been like this for a long time actually. For those of you that don't know, I have a chemical imbalance which causes clinical depression. I'm quite adept at dealing with it although at times it gets the better of me.

Yesterday I went up to school to get some major study time in. I generally only do evening classes. I was going to be there ALL day so I threw a couple MTG decks in my bag because I've seen people playing it in the cafeteria.

I engaged an a random game with a few guys that led to me stomping unmerciful ass. (I used to play pro tourneys back in the day) Soon it became 3 on 1 "everyone kill Bujo before he kills us". *giggles* That always seems to happen to me!

Besides the fact I played several awesome games I met some really cool people. I can't remember the last time I've made a real attempt at expanding my social circle. God save me I even joined an *chokes on the next words* extra curricular activity...

I just happened to show up on the 2nd ever L.O.G. (league of gamers) meeting! It's a school sanctioned club for tabletop games and the like with quite serious interest from what I've seen. There were at least 30 ppl present with over 60 original signatures on club day.

During my games of MTG several saw my chainmaile dice bag. My sack was fondled by many... The group had a well known online source they were looking at getting some from. I believe they will now be using ME! So I've opened up the door for all that entails now.

Oh, and the BEST part of the day... Some of them were FURRIES! Hahahaha! (still not sure how the conversation went that way) But I think I've wrangled my way into a legitimate way to go suiting AT SCHOOL! We were discussing ways to grab folks attention, raise awareness for the group, and raise money. "Hell, I'll shake my stripes on the corner" I blurted out in the meeting.

So I'll end my ramblings here. I can't remember the last time I actually felt good. It's almost a foreign, strange thing for me anymore. Believing in the zodiac like I do I only have one explanation for my luck over the past few days in general... Scorpio in the HIZOUSE!

A friend of mine  ehioze is studying cartoon drawing and animation. As practice he is now drawing super fast, mega adorable $5 chibi's! I think mine took him less than 2 hours from start to finish. His style is pretty unique and worth taking a look at. Let that cat chibi-fy you naow!

My life is a constant divergence of two paths. One, the safe, more, well traveled route, is a sure choice for any traveler. The security, the familiarity, and the sure footing it offers, are all too appealing. The rewards at the end however, are always set, standard, and expected.

The second route, the road less traveled, is more treacherous. The unknowing twists it takes, the unsuspected terrain, and the hazards that may yet to come all are weighed carefully. Its rewards are surely greater than the first choice. "Greater" by whose standards?

The first fork is taken. The decision is now made to traverse on. It seems I'm always walking forward with a mirror in one hand looking backwards. I can't help but wonder about that alternative path. Mostly it seems, I take the well trodden road. Although I'm never sure if the security I've chosen outweighs the rewards and benefits of that riskier direction that I've ignored. Peering into that mirror I look for a glimpse at the alternative.

When in the reverse situation of taking the more hazardous route, I'm never sure if I can surpass the challenges ahead to achieve my destination. Sometimes I wish to feel that all too familiar security. I always fear getting lost on that road less traveled and having to backtrack just to start my quest over. Again I'm peering into that mirror as I round the corner, still trying to gain some perspective on my now lost alternate option.

I reach the next fork only to be struck again with the same query. Which road do I take? How should I proceed? Slowly I grow more weary with each turn my journey takes. I'm simply wishing to reach my destination while beginning to care less and less about the route taken. All I wish for is a well deserved rest at that place I've strive to get to. That mirror is always somewhere in my vision.

My traveling companions I started this trek with have all long since gone down their own paths. Some take that all too familiar route while others the more gainful but perilous course. Many of them it seems have reached their ending location while I still continue to wander. I'm always walking forward with that same, now tarnished tarnished mirror in my hand looking back. This is my life, a constant divergence of two paths...
