I never come to FA anymore! I forget to check it except like, once a freaking year!!
I decided to peek in here because I went to my first (fully vaccinated!!!) furmeet recently in a very long time.
I moved to Milwaukee!! So, yeah, I'm in Wisconsin now!
I've been trying to find art fairs here, and I'll start looking for furry conventions again soon.
I miss the furry community!! I haven't really been super active in it within several years...I couldn't afford conventions, and the community feels a lot more scattered than it used to... Maybe I just don't know where the community is now, but I'm trying to find it again!!!
I spent several years neck deep in the Kink and Leather communities before we moved, helping with running events, and just pouring all my waking hours into it sometimes? And I'm sure I'm going to continue to be extremely involved in that community... And the queer and polyamorous communities as well!
But that's the cool thing about the furry community, is it manages to be an amalgamation of a lot of those things. (And nerds and artists...)
Maybe as I begin to spend more time in the community, I'll put some more effort into this gallery. My main art gallery currently is Instagram, and I'm probably most active on Twitter!
But I feel motivated to start doing some more furry art!!!
Anyone reading this around Wisconsin? It would be neat to learn some old Furry friends are now local!!

A phone, an update, etc~

My past one couldn't upload stuff on here, but this one can! And since I've not got a computer, and my tablet is broken in a way that makes uploading things horrible, it meant that uploading things on here tended to be a grueling process that I rather tended to avoid...
But now I can! So, hopefully I'll be able to to upload more consistently!
I've got several things to upload today!! So that'll be going in for a bit, and I've already started that process.
Beyond having a new phone... not doing great! We're stuck living in a bad living situation during the quarantine. We're trying hard to save up to get out ASAP, but everything going on has made that process difficult.
I'm doing commissions and such, selling on Etsy, literally whatever I physically can to save up. So if you're interested in art commissions, clay charms, whatever, let me know!!
My past one couldn't upload stuff on here, but this one can! And since I've not got a computer, and my tablet is broken in a way that makes uploading things horrible, it meant that uploading things on here tended to be a grueling process that I rather tended to avoid...

I've not been around here for over a year!! But today I finally found my password and such, and I thought I'd do some experimenting.
See, I use a terrible potato phone that everytime I try to upload something to FA is like,"Nah." Because of memory issues, or some such?
But today I found a way to upload things. I can use my art tablet!! (it's unfortunately broken and has many dead pixels, right in the middle of where typing and such is, making uploading a chore. But, I can rotate it as I upload to see different parts of the screen and be able to type stuff up well enough to do uploads!)
So!
I'm going to start uploading on here again! I've got about a year of backlog, which I'll start uploading tonight. Hopefully it isn't too much spam, since it's late now.
I have been active on other social media, and have been and out of some very hard times the last few years.
I'm excited to be bringing my art back to the first place I started uploading art, and hopefully reconnecting with some old friends as I do!

I've got some pretty cool news! The news is that I've got a new-to-me tablet and I'll be able to produce digital art again! I'm feeling excited and motivated, and ready to jump head first back into art, the furry fandom, and lots of other projects!!
I've been doing a lot more Twitter stuff lately, so if you're on there, I'm bunidoom there~
I'll be uploading stuff here soon, though.
And as a brief life update, things are going better now than they have in several years, and I'm very glad for that. We're going to have our own place again soon, that will be OUR place, and that's very exciting.

RIP Gene Catlow
Posted 8 years agoI'm sure anyone who follows me is familiar with who Gene is, and not just what he means to the world of Anthro art, but what he means to me personally. We've lost more than a good man and amazing artist...
When I first peeked into the world of furry, it was into comics. Among the first comics I found was Gene's. My favorites we're the spin off comics he would draw together, with his Lady Cat and friends. They all seemed such a warm group who truly loved one another.
Later, when I got a FA page, I found the whole 3C1M crew, and some other amazing comics artists. I wrote them, and told them what an influence their art had on me. I wasn't expecting anyone to write back, as I'd just started posting art. But they did! All of them. They warmly excepted me, and encouraged not only my art, but me as a person.
Gene especially was so far beyond kind to me, that I can't ever truly sing his praises highly enough. He commented on a majority of my pictures, no matter how long I'd been away, and was always excited for more. He even paid me for art... Insisting I take payment, and reminded me that art is a skill worth being compensated for.
Even on my art, he was a huge influence. Any time I use white lines over black, I call it "Gene Catlow black". And I always will call it that.
Gene was a friend, a mentor, a supporter, and so very much more. He was so much, to so many people, and there's always going to be a cat shaped hole is so many hearts and lives. My heart goes out most to the rest of the 3C1M team, and Gene's other close friends and loved ones.

Tablet Help, Please!!
Posted 9 years agoHi all! I really need help with my arting set up!
A big reason there hasn't been a lot of art from me is that to make art I really have to fight with my current setup. I'm using a Surface Pro, the original, none of the ones with numbers.
The problem I am having is that if I so much as lightly graze my wrist or hand on the tablet, something will pop up. Usually the Windows 10 "Action Center", but sometimes something else. Because of the way I hold my hand when I draw this happens EVERY FEW SECONDS. This makes doing line art next to impossible for me, and sketching and coloring a huge pain. I can't hold my hand differently, either, believe me I've tried!!
There's other contributing factors to the lack of art, but having to fight to produce anything takes the wind out of my sails, and I feel when I -do- manage to draw something, it isn't up to the quality I'd like it to be because of the struggle.
I also don't have money to invest in another tablet, and right now the Surface Pro is my only way of computing, period.
Any suggestions are welcome! I've already tried Googling around for help, but to no avail.

Yeeeeah. A furry lady broke my heart, and seeing furry stuff has been on the painful side, for that and other reasons. I've been beyond ill, and unable to afford medical care. So, bad times.
On top of that, I've been doing more crafting that art, and just haven't had a way to digitally finish a picture, so I haven't got much to post. I may post some craftsy stuff.
I've missed a lot of you. I hope you haven't been worried.

Crafts, Art, and a Bun.

Besides the occasional doodle, I know I'm not producing a lot of art.
A lot of that has to do with my current situation, and there's not much to be done for it. Hopefully soon I'll have a better set up.
I have doodles I could upload, but I honestly prefer to stick with finished pieces.
However, what I have been doing lately is crafting my brains out.
Especially with clay!!
I've gone back and forth about posting here, worried that people don't want to see my crafts. But honestly, the people who have such around this long are probably willing to put up with some crafting updates!
I'm working on opening an Etsy store, even.
So! I'm about to upload what I've been doing in the past few months. There's quite a lot, so I'm uploading it now in the middle of the night.
For those still here to read this, I love you. There are good people here that make me want to stay, even after some others broke my heart and made me feel unlovable and unwelcome. Y'all are worth sticking around for. As soon as I'm back on my feet, in going to start bringing my crafts and art back to conventions. I miss a lot of you. Even the ones who broke my heart, even.

A ZOMBIE RISES! Just in time for Halloween, right?
Posted 10 years agoHey y'all. Anyone who's reading this, just let me start with... WOW. You stuck around through a year of nothingness?
You're awesome. Thank you. Really. But what's a year between friends, right?
For those curious as to where I've been... I'll sum up, but I'll keep it brief.
Life has been, in general, just a son of a bitch to me, for over a year at this point. My husband got a wonderful, well paying job. We moved out of our home to pursue it, hopped over a state border, and put everything we owned in storage in exchange for a Extended Stay Motel.
The company fell apart after only a few months of him working there. We tried to stay in Shreveport, and fought as hard as we could to stay, but the winds had other plans, I guess. The week we both found stable jobs, the people we were staying with had their landlord notice us and say we couldn't stay. It was messy.
We had the option to stay, but it was going to be a constant struggle. About that time, my parents told me they wanted us to come stay. My father's already bad health had gone from bad to worse. They thought he was going to die. We moved back home to help, but luckily, a very new surgery procedure has helped a lot. He however still isn't in good health.
Soooo~ooo. To sum up the summing up, Shreveport was a bust. My Dad got very sick, we're helping take care of him, and living back in Texas.
This is both good, and bad. Good, because yay, helping family who I love. Boo, because the job market here is a bag of dicks. And entire. Bag. Of. Dicks. It's almost all oilfield, and incase you haven't seen a gas pump lately, oil field isn't doing well.
And on top of that, my already crappy health has gotten -even crappier-! I'm going to have to start seeing more specialists, but my health has taken another dramatic down slide. Boo, no fun.
Between all of this... Year of Awfulness, I'll be honest, my metal health hasn't done so well, either. With no stability, and so much negativity, it's been harder to rely on my usual coping mechanisms.
I don't have my ideal drawing set up, and that plus just feeling crummy all the time hasn't left me with much desire to draw beyond some doodling.
But I'm getting back into the swing of things. I'll be uploading some more art here soon, including some of my non-furry works I've done!
Some positive things have happened. My father's health is on the upswing, we've made a whole new friend group here in Texas through the BDSM community, and we have a special lady (who most of you probably know) in our life.
SO! I'm going to be pushing myself to actually post some art here again. I was hesitant, since most of my recent work has been more humanish. This has gotten out of control, length wise! So TTFN!
TLDR - Buni has had the worst year of her life in the past year. She hasn't been stable. She, however, is going to start posting some art here again. Thanks for sticking around. <3

Today I had to put down my cat.
Posted 11 years agoI hope the title is warning enough, but if it isn't, here's a head's up. This journal will discuss the death of a cat, but not in super detail.
Yeah. Like the title said, today I had to put down my cat, KiKi. She was about 10 years old and lived a very loved life, though she was never a super-healthy kitty. I was able to be with her until she died, but putting her down was terrible, and I'm moving between detached disbelief and hysterical mourning. Right now is a moment of disbelief, so I'm taking the time to write this journal.
Because many of you who follow me know her, or know -of- her at least. I had her from the time see was a teeny-weenie Kiki bean until the end. She was my first cat that was "my" cat. She was dearer to me than I can truly explain, and she got me through a lot of hard times with a bump of her head and a purr.
I'm going to work on some memorial art for her soon, and may do some trades for memorial pictures of her, with those willing to trade.
She was a beautiful Tortoise-shell cat. This is her.

Wild Nights and Moving Progress!

Sorry I've been a bit scarce lately. I thought with Jinx being gone I'd have lots of time for art, but then I spent a week with him, got sick, and have been cleaning/packing my striped butt off preparing to move!
It's decided, we are indeed moving to Shreveport, LA. I intend to do a small comic explaining that all a little better, so watch for that! <3
Moving by myself is going to take a lot of time and effort, so... Eep. But hopefully I can do all that and still be able to produce some art to post! I have lots of scribbles and scrabbles that I need to scan and color, so that should be fun! Also, I've been thinking of doing some "Help Buni Earn Moving Funds!" streams soon.
All moving stuff aside, next item on my list of talking points is Wild Nights!
Jinx and I will be going to Wild Nights! Maybe with a group (hopefully)!
It will be a really special convention for us, for many reasons. The main one is that it will be our First Anniversary as a married couple! We missed Wild Nights last year because we were getting married. XD
Since our marriage was a hand fasting, there's a good chance we'll be renewing our vows there at some point, probably on the 25th at some point, since that will be a year and a day.

Sorry I've been a bit scarce lately. I thought with Jinx being gone I'd have lots of time for art, but then I spent a week with him, got sick, and have been cleaning/packing my striped butt off preparing to move!
It's decided, we are indeed moving to Shreveport, LA. I intend to do a small comic explaining that all a little better, so watch for that! <3
Moving by myself is going to take a lot of time and effort, so... Eep. But hopefully I can do all that and still be able to produce some art to post! I have lots of scribbles and scrabbles that I need to scan and color, so that should be fun! Also, I've been thinking of doing some "Help Buni Earn Moving Funds!" streams soon.
All moving stuff aside, next item on my list of talking points is Wild Nights!
Jinx and I will be going to Wild Nights! Maybe with a group (hopefully)!
It will be a really special convention for us, for many reasons. The main one is that it will be our First Anniversary as a married couple! We missed Wild Nights last year because we were getting married. XD
Since our marriage was a hand fasting, there's a good chance we'll be renewing our vows there at some point, probably on the 25th at some point, since that will be a year and a day.

Today I was featured in a virtual magazine on Second Life! Or, at least, my tuggy avatar was. So, if you're interested in checking out your favorite tuggy topless in avatar form, I'd suggest logging on to Second Life and finding a copy of Furoque Magazine! My name on there is Verbena Demonia, and if you catch me on I'll be happy to send you a copy! <3
Now on to much less virtual things...
There is a huge chance in the next few month I'll be moving! Only an hour away, so not a huge distance... But still, an hour away.

Opening for Commissions!

Life is throwing me a series of curve balls, as life tends to do. As such, I've decided the best course of action to earn a little extra cash is to offer commissions for all you wonderful watchers!
I won't call these emergency commissions, because my situation doesn't qualify as what I would call an "Emergency".
However, I did have a few unexpected expenses come up in the last few days, and I have to make a four hour trip this weekend to see family. If I could earn gas money for the trip, and maybe even enough for a snack on the way, I'd be one happy little fluff! <3

Furry Fiesta Post Con Wrap-Up
Posted 11 years agoI'm back, and I've spent the day recovering from the con!
It was a good con. Because of the people there! I met lots of new awesome friends, spent time with some wonderful friends I've met from previous cons. Too many awesome folks to mention by name, but know I love you all and had lots of fun with you.
There were a few negatives about this years con... For one, the treatment of Artist's Alley was pretty sad. Lots of upset people, and it makes me glad I didn't come to the convention with the hopes of tabling, or there would have been a lot of heart break for me, too.
I was also a bit saddened they put a lot of stuff of interest hidden down in the basement, making it difficult for a lot of people to access. So, there were some issues with the new hotel. But from what I heard, hopefully a lot of it will be resolved by next year!
All and all it was a good convention. I'm hoping I can do more here soon including Wild Nights and Oklacon.
I'll be posting and working on some art I finished at the convention.

Silly references aside, I am SO PSYCHED for Furry Fiesta. Are you going? I just saw that the actual con hotel opened up a few more rooms at their super special price so I canceled our reservations at the overflow hotel and snagged some for the actual hotel! *SQUEAL*
I've got lots of fun projects to keep me busy between now and then but still, a little less than two weeks?! I CAN'T WAIT! Come get me in the Tardis, Doctor, and take me to then!!!

Posted 12 years agoHOORAY! Today is the final day of the 30 Day Art Challenge I've been working on!
I worked hard and I surprised myself. In these 30 days I've destroyed my sleep schedule staying up late to finish picture, but I'm impressed by how much I accomplished! At the beginning of this project I fully expected to have a month of mainly sketches and lots of skipped days.
But here, on day 30 I have 24 fully colored pictures to show for my effort. I even think I've improved a little. I tried some new things and had a few successes in my experiments!
However now I am VERY EXCITED to be able to work on what I want to again! I've got lots of ideas planned and even some sketches I've already sketched to warm up that I can finish.

Posted 12 years agoWell. I've always wanted to do one of these, but I never felt like I had the artistic stamina. I feel like right now is the perfect time for it! No holidays during the 30 days, and still plenty of time to recover before Furry Fiesta.

Texas Furry Fiesta Meme!
Posted 12 years agoAfter some discussions with Jinx, we've decided we -will- be at TFF this year! YAAAAY!
Something that may be a "yay" or a "boo", depending on who you are, is that I probably will not be doing an Artist's Alley table this year. I'm actually kind of excited about this, and excited to actually be able to do con stuff! Usually when I work a con, I WORK the con and spend at least 12 hours a day chained to the table. (And whine about lunch breaks, even!)
So, if you'd like a badge or art from me at the con, pre-orders are super appreciated! And to my artist buddies, maybe this will be the year I will have time for trades and art jams and things. Eeeeeee, excited!

I'm easy to find. I'll probably be wearing my fursona's tail, and maybe even her ears too. And badges of her. And the same red curly hair. Really easy to find! I'm just a fatter, furless version of Buni!
8) Do you do free art?
Maaa~aaybe. Since I won't be working this con, I may be up for at doing some trading and art jamming.
9) Do you have prints/Cds?
Not really, but if someone is interested in my bringing prints/button/badges along with me, I'd be happy to.
10) Will you be fursuiting if so: What suit(s)?
Nope! I don't have a suit.
11) Will you be going to parties?
I'd love to! If you want to invite Jinx and I to party, please do! This year I won't be shackled to a table, so lots of time for fun!

Performing? Not unless anyone like, hands me a mic. And if that's the case, my natural showmanship might just kick in. XD

I do not. And Jinx switched from smoke to vapor about a year or so ago.

Please! If I'm pissed off, chances are some company will do me so good. And I always try to remember never to take out my frustrations on someone who didn't cause them. However, if I am pissed off at something -you- did, hopefully you'd know your social Ps and Qs well enough to give me some space.
24) Are you nice?
Yes. It's my favorite thing about myself! But please don't confuse nice with door mat.
25) Cliquey?
Absolutely not. I make friends in line at the grocery store. Chances are if we're at the same con, we've got enough in common for me to have a nice conversation with you!

5'8'' ish, I think, somewhere in that ballpark.
27) Can I take pictures of you?
If you're that captivated with my loveliness, I suppose, but I'd rather you not post them online.

YES! I will make OTHERS draw for me this year! BWAHAHAHAHA!

Erm. A bunch? I've been to TFF several times. (3 or 4?) MFM twice. Wild Nights 2 times, Oklacon once.

Maybe! I have no idea what the weekend will hold!

Posted 12 years agoHey ya'll! I know I'm a bit quiet on here, but I still had to come let you all know about the AWESOME adoptable-esque situation my dear RL buddy (and awesome artist) Rotsuoy_Wolfen is running.
She's really gone above and beyond with this project, and since the beginning I've been seriously impressed!
Instead of doing the traditional "adopt this character" or "adopt this egg", she's come up with an amazing storyline that fits in with her own world. It's detailed, sexy, and amazing. They're called the Drakeer, and you should really check them out!
Every adoptable is a bit of a surprise, but you also get to request certain things (like wings, horns, biped, etc.) And being the awesome Sexy-Monger she is, Rotsuoy has chosen to display what a great many furries REALLY want to see as how you choose the Drakeer.
The naughty bits. Oh yes.
