Yay! So, for those who saw the submissions before the journal, you might have noticed I posted two new(ish) pictures! For those who saw this journal first, well, I posted two new pictures.

I think I'm going to be posting a lot more here coming up. I've felt the desire to draw more lately. So I went ahead and bought myself a sketchbook and a pack of pencils. (Yay for school supply sales!!!)

I've already filled up several pages of it already, and that makes me really happy. I've been sketching up a storm since I got it, and just today I found out that my cell phone takes decent enough pictures for me to clean up in SAI. And that's awesome, because my scanner's being a jerkbutt. Recently, I've had trouble sketching without a genuine pencil in my hand. But now with a decent system to take this pile of sketches and at least line them up with my tablet, I feel like I've got the ability to do some more art in a way that isn't making me crazy.

So hooray, more art soon! Hopefully lots!

Now on to the question I'd like to ask you guys, since you're the only real group of folks online who has anything resembling interest in my little doodles. x3

I'm thinking of starting up a Tumblr Art Ask Blog. I'm not sure what kind of theme it will be, but would anyone be interested in seeing that?

I'm considering maybe a MLP themed ask blog, or maybe one about Buni. I'm not sure yet! Suggestions are very welcome.

Since I've had a few friends ask, I figured I might as well make a journal. Jinx and I won't be attending Wild Nights. We're both really bummed out since this is the second year in a row we've missed, and it's one of our favorite cons. But sadly, we can't come.

Why, you ask? Wild Nights is this weekend, and it just so happens Jinx and I are getting married this weekend! YAY! Saturday, to be specific, Jinx and I will be gettin' hitched after being together for about 7 and 1/2 years. I know I've mentioned it a few times, mainly in relation to why it's been so difficult to get ahold of me lately.

A word from the not-so-wise Buni, my dear lovelies who are thinking of getting hitched. DO NOT DO EVERYTHING YOURSELF IF IT CAN BE HELPED. You will work like a slave for months and spend all your creative energy on projects for this one particular event to the point you don't even want to work on any personal art projects.

However, after the wedding (and a week for an awesome honeymoon road-trip!) I'll probably be around more often, and I look forward to being able to do arts and crafts again that -don't- have to do with the wedding! XD

Hey everyone!

I know I haven't been around on FA a lot. The main reason for that is the wedding coming up in a few months. It's had pretty much all my attention, especially my arts-and-crafts related attention. I've gone back and forth about if I should post my wedding related arts and crafts on FA, but I figured since they weren't furry related their wouldn't be much interest.

I may upload our "wedding logo", just because I'm rather fond of it.

But I'm more or less doing most the artsy stuff for the wedding myself. Invites, decor, all the design. And it's turned out to be an awful lot of work! I assume after the wedding I should have more time to devote to some anthro art.

Now on the subject of Furry Fiesta. I'm not sure if we'll be going. It depends on a few factors. I know, it's less than a month away. XD I don't have time to get things together for a table, so I doubt highly if I can go I'll be going as an artist. And frankly, going just to enjoy the con sounds pretty amazing. But it depends on what we have to do for the wedding at that time.

Now, onto the subject of unwatches. I had to unwatch an awful lot of people, and I frankly feel kind of bad about it. But lately checking FA has been a chore, and I felt like if I didn't check it I'd just be drowning in submissions.

If any of you care enough to read this, and noticed I unwatched you, let me know and I'll put you back on my watch list! I tried very hard not to unwatch people I know personally and actually talk with. ^.^ But I do make mistakes!

Yeah, I'm not posting a lot of journals lately, or art either, but almost all my free time is spent doing wedding crafts! Invitations, artwork, bouquets, ribbon wands, etc etc and on and on! Hopefully I'll free up some time soon though, so I can run a stream for everyone and maybe earn up some money for a Honeymoon! (Weddings are so expensive, blargh.)

I'm turning 25! Quarter of a century old. It's a neat age to be, I think.

As a birthday present to me from Mother Nature, it's dropped to it's coldest temperatures in a few years where I am in Texas. I like the cold <3 But the freezing temperatures without snow feels like such a tease! Come on, I want birthday snow!

Hey all. I have a Wacom Bamboo tablet. But I haven't ever really been able to use it very efficiently.

I have trouble not being able to see where I'm drawing, but I figure that may be something I can over come with enough time to adjust to the learning curve.

However, something I simply can't figure out is pressure sensitivity.

I use Paint Tool Sai, and I could really use some tips/tricks for making the pressure sensitivity actually, like... Work, and stuff. XD

Anyone who can offer any help, I'd seriously appreciate it!

This weekend was our 7th anniversary, and we went down to Galveston to celebrate. We had a great little mini-vacation, and on Saturday, Jinx proposed! It was a rainy trip, but we both had a wonderful time.

It was perfect, under a beautiful rainbow on the beach. <3 Also, right before sunset, so after we watched the rainbow fade we just turned to watch the sun set.

I'll be drawing something for it tonight and tomorrow, and I'll probably post it. I don't know if I'll try to capture the moment, it was just too pretty for me to capture correctly!

I suppose this means I need to start thinking about wedding stuff seriously, now. ^.^ Pick a date and what not. <3 Add that to my huge pile of stuff I'm already working on. x3

I'll keep trying to draw more, posts some sketches and the like. I'm so crazily busy!

Hey guys. I have an interesting question for everyone. For the main part, I use my Fur Affinity page to post pictures I've decided are "finished". I don't post works in progress, and I think I only have one or two uncolored sketches.

I like to showcase my best stuff on FA, or at least my finished stuff. But more often than I like, sometimes that mean I don't end up posting anything at all when my life gets hectic or busy.

Basically what I'm getting at is this. I'm always drawing. Anyone who knows me in real world time knows that if I have paper and a pencil anywhere near me, I'm drawing. I sketch on the napkins at bars and restaurants, on the border of any piece of paper I'm writing on... Constantly I am sketching and drawing.

However, it takes me a long time to finish a picture on my art programs. It takes me forever to line and color a picture the way I do it, if I want to do it the best I can.

But simple sketches like the two below are relatively quick and simple

The lines aren't very clean, and both of these are sketched from start to finish with a mouse, so it skips the scanning step.

My mother called me just a little while ago. A little late to call, but it was rather important. Why would my mother frantically call me at 1am?

To ask if I have any migraine pills. I nonchalantly say,"Yeah, 'bout a half a bottle I suppose. Why?"

And you want to know why? There's been a massive recall on Excedrin Migraine. Mind you, this happened several months ago. But it escaped my mind until now because both my mother and I keep about 8 or so bottles on hand at a time. She found out today because she went to go pick up more because I'd taken the last of hers yesterday.

And they don't know why it will be back on shelves.

Guys... I'm doomed. DOOMED. And this isn't even a clever play on my name. This is not a good thing for me.

I get migraines very often. At least once a week. The only thing that works for me, or ever has since I started getting them around 8 years old is Excedrin Migraine. I've learned to predict when one is coming because this hazy fog I get in my head... And I just pop 2 and avoid things that agitate them, and yay all better.

If I don't get these pills... I stop functioning as a human being. Light, sound, movement, even the weight of my own hair... It all become horrible. I vomit, I have spasms... And the pain...

Just as kind of a run down...

Generics don't work. Don't know why.

Liquor makes them worse.

Other pain killers don't work. This includes heavy duty pain killers. Like the codine based stuff. Even when taken with coffee or other caffinated beverages.

I've counted and recounted my pills. I have maybe enough to last me a month. Maybe less, depending. If I conserve. If I -can- conserve. Probably closer to 2-3 weeks, realistically.

Bottles of Excedrin are going on Ebay for upwards or 50-60 dollars for a bottle.

I've tried home remedies, I've tried everything... These are the only things that work...

If anyone happens to have any bottles of Excedrin laying around they don't need, please, send it my way. I'd love you forever.

Today, I learned the word "squish". Not squish as in the noise, or when you squeeze something... But squish as in this;

"Squish - An aromantic crush, a desire for a strong platonic relationship with someone; this envisioned relationship is usually more emotional intimate than a typical friendship."

I am in love love love with the term squish. I fully intend to bring it into my everyday vocabulary, especially since I frequently develop "squishes" on people.

For example... I see a youtube video with someone ranting about a subject and I agree with every point. I squish them. <3

If I see an artist on FA and I adore their artwork, and their personality as well! I squish them! <3

I think I mainly for squishes on people on the internet. XD But it happens in the "real world" too!

Well, it came down to the wire... But we just can't swing it. With Jinx changing jobs here in a week or two, the timing just isn't great.

Which really upsets me, because I was excited about the theme. I had a Pinkie Pie cosplay ready, complete with bottle of pink hair dye...

I'll miss getting to see a lot of my good con friends, and that's a shame... I'm really bummed about all of this, but it just can't be helped.

I'm a good mixture of strong willed and sweet. Sometimes the mixture goes off, and I take too much crap, or close myself off... But most the time I'm willing to listen and help someone in need, but when I need to make a stand, I can and will.

My health. It's dreadful, and no doctor has been able to help. I don't like having to take pills so I can have an almost normal system. Bad thyroid, low immune system, back problems, PCOD. Ugh. I hate being Sicky McSickass.

Unabashed, unashamed, social butterfly type. Or at least, that's what I'm assuming.

I go with the term Pagan, because it's a catch all. I am a deeply spiritual person, and a lot of that spirituality revolves around nature. But in truth, I do not know the answers for sure, I only know what fits for me, and what feels right for me. <3 My beliefs are custom fit for me.

12. Do you drink?
Not often, recently. I have stomach ulcers, and it makes alcohol kind of... Hurt. A lot.

13. Do you smoke?
Nope, but it seems most the people I know do.

14. What are your fears?
Angry spirits. It may sound silly, yes, but to me, it's the only thing worth my fear. No matter how big the person, I can always at least attempt to fight them off. If I can make it bleed, no reason to be afraid of it. You can't fight a poltergeist. XD

Though I am unfond of the big black Texas waterbug cockroaches. They're huge and they fly.

15. What are your dreams/goals?
I don't really have an answer. Isn't that sad? To be a better artist, I guess. To be a better -person-, period. Healthier, happier, more secure...

Of course! ^.^ I actually crush on people pretty easily.

And now, my own personal explanation. I got into the habit, I suppose, from years of reading manga. I think it is the perfect way to show, with text, that what you are "saying" is said with affection or an excited/happy emotion behind it.

Here's an example! If you were talking to me, and you said you were going to bed. It is very likely I would say this:

"Sleep well! <3"

What that means is I am "saying" sleep well happily. It means I am being sincere, and chipper.

It. Does. Not. I REPEAT. DOES NOT. Mean I am saying I love you.

Even though I do love you all! <3 (See, even there. You see what I did there, right?)

If you see me use the "<3" a lot in text, I'm not coming on to you. I'm not deeply in love with you, and it -will- blind side me if you respond with,"I love you too." I will be confused.

I will be even -more- confused when you tell me I am a "misleading whore" after I explain the heart politely.

And my feelings will move from confused to angry and wanting you to go step on a Lego when you begin to threaten to come find me and rape me and rip out my vagina.

Because... I need my vagina. <3

My father has recently got into the remote control helicopters. He has a lot of fun with them, but... Well, he's not that great with most of them. He's wrecked quite a few so far. But, oh well, at least he's having fun!

Most recently he crashed one into a biiiigggg tree out behind his house. About 25-30 feet up.

I went over for a visit today, and I see him in the back, a piece of rope tied around a heavy wrench, trying to hook the branch the helicopter is on so he can shake it down.

It has to be said... My father is getting up in the years, and while he's still able to throw something 100 miles an hour, or lift something several hundred pounds, he's got a bad knee... So walking causes him quite a deal of pain, and he is of course too stubborn to use a cane for anything other than tormenting people with. So when I see him doing this, all I can think is,"Oh goodness, if I don't do that for him, he's going to hurt his knee!"

So I run out back and beg him to let me try a few times, and he reluctantly agrees to let me, since he's already obviously caused himself a deal of pain.

I feel victorious in having even gotten the wrench and rope away from him, but it leaves me with the harsh reality of staring at this branch 30 feet above me going,"Oh, right genius, how the Hell are you going to chunk a 3 pound wrench 30 feet in the air and rope a tree branch."

I have my own back problems, so I was afraid I was just going to end up having a wrench come crashing on my upturned face and be struck dead. My tombstone would read,"Here Lies Buni. She didn't think this shit through."

But after a throw or two, I find out that though my years of Softball are long behind me, I still have an arm on me. It takes me a few tries, but eventually I get the perfect toss and I wrap the wrench around the branch perfectly. Indiana Jones would have been proud.

Here comes the part where everyone should prepare to face palm...

The rope connected to this wrench is not what could be called nice rope. In fact, it's pretty much crappy twine rope. And those of you who've worked with twine know... YOU SHOULD WEAR GLOVES.

Buni doesn't know this. Buni also has baby-butt soft Artist Shut-In hands.

So, again without thinking things through, I wrap the twine around my hands and I begin to shake this tree for all I'm worth. I shake, and I shake, and I shake-shake-shake.

The helicopters mocks me from above, and I scream up at in with bitter anguish.

But finally, with great difficulty, I have managed to shake the thing down! I run over, catch it like an All-Star quarterback, and giddily run in to inform my parents of my victory.

Applause all around, and much praise from both my parents, and eventually my adrenaline fades...

And I think to myself,"Ow. I wonder what that horrible burning sensation is."

I'm sure some have guessed... My poor teeny soft hands are now -covered- in blisters and filled with these horrible splinters from the twine. They're swollen and feel terrible.

But my fingertips are okay, so hopefully I should be able to do some coloring and lining with the mouse. But gripping a pencil is a bit beyond me right now. But luckily I have plenty of things in the inking-coloring phase to keep me busy!


But I got that Helicopter down, damnit. Huzzah.

TL:DR-

Got a Helicopter out of a tree for my Dad. Wrecked my Hands in the process because I'm a big Dummy. Still super proud of myself anyways.

I'm entering a contest for one of Polly Puma's collars! I was personally asked to enter, since I'm half big cat. <3

Maybe I'll only get like, half a collar. Oh, or maybe just one cuff. x333

Oh gosh, I don't even know where to start. It was such an amazing weekend, that I was lucky to spend with so many amazing people.

My table was a huge success, and it seemed like everyone really loved the buttons.

I spent most of the weekend at the table, but I still managed to go out and have fun.

To all the new friends I made and saw again, I hope I can find every single one of you and give you all the watches you deserve. You all made the convention wonderful for me.

I missed a lot of the events and panels I wanted to see, but I've got a bad habit of doing that every year. I missed the fat party because of a few last moment commissions, and that was a real shame.

But I got to meet lots of people, draw lots of people, see lots of friends, and in general just have a wonderful weekend.

Yeah, so my re-cap sucks. XD

Oh gosh, this cooonnnn. It's my hell or high water con, and my life has just been -so- determined to make me take the high water route. XD

First we hit some pretty bad financial scrapes, and then our car breaks down.

But we found someone in my family willing to loan us a car for the weekend, and we scrimped and saved up every cent to be able to at least afford getting there and getting me a table. <3

And then Jinx got a new job! Which is totally amazing, but he's only been working for a little while, so we were afraid they wouldn't let him have the days off. But we just found out (just now!) that they're going to give him the days off! (Hooray!!!)

I've got all my buttons done up, and my supplies ready to go. I've got a bit more prepping to do...

Unfortunately, I'm sick right now with a sinus infection (boo!) but I will hopefully be all better by Thursday! <3 I'm already feeling a bit better today than I was yesterday. <3

It's been hard for me to really get as excited about Furry Fiesta as I usually am because of all the uncertainty and stress surrounding the situation... But now, with help of commissioners, friends, family, and just plain luck, we've now got the money, the time, and the car! <3 So -now- I'm excited!
