My female fursona is Dusty the bunny. That's her in my icon.

She's me, if I was female and a bunny and got to do all the fun kinky sex stuff I wanted to do.

My gallery has more than 500 pictures of her.

I used to roleplay on Furcadia as a male cat, Digan, who was also me.

And because I wasn't having any sex with real people at the time, Digan also did all the fun kinky sex stuff that I would have liked to do.

He was very popular! He'd often be in the middle of a pile of female furries who wanted him to take charge.

I did that, but I wanted to be a female furry on the other side, so to speak.

So, being lazy, I asked one of my female furry friends to create a bunny woman for me.

What to call her, though?

I have a sense of humour. And so the first name I tried was "Dust Bunny". And it worked! Amazingly, it seemed that nobody else on Furcadia had used that name.

So my bunny was called Dust Bunny, nicknamed Dusty.

Later on I came to FurAffinity and started getting art made of her.

But I'm lazy. I didn't want to bother coming up with scenarios for the pictures.

So I outsourced my fursona!

About 400 to 450 of the pictures in my gallery are the result of saying to the artist, "Draw my bunny tied up".

Lots of artists say she's cute. She ought to be. She was created by some of the best artists!

I never thought I'd enjoy Lesbian Visibility Day so much!

I've been looking at the Lesbian Visibility Day posts on Twitter (which is how I even know that it's today).

They're very visible, and most of the visible ones look really sexy! XD

Probably a bit of self selection going on, as the lesbians who look less pretty on the outside might be reluctant to post and risk mockery from people who are not quite as attractive on the inside.

Burt it's a day when everyone should feel happy and pretty, lesbian or not. Kind of like the other days in that regard.

Maybe I'll start drawing again. It would take a lot of practice to become good at it. That requires time.

During the CoVID-19 crisis, most people's purchasing power will decrease as the economy declines. I hope this will only be temporary if enough countries take the right action. However, this is already affecting the wealthy countries that buy a lot of furry art.

China is already beginning to recover because it appears to have successfully contained the epidemic. If other countries follow its example, then the bottom of the curve should be short. But we still don't know how long the recovery will take. In Russia it shouldn't be difficult to contain the virus. Like Australia, I believe that many of the major cities are separated by long distances, so travel restrictions should be able to limit the spread.

Within the large cities of most countries it will be more difficult. Unfortunately the Northern Hemisphere's winter has ended, which will make it much easier for the virus to spread.

More people will spend more time at home. They will also spend less money on physical shopping, and a greater proportion of their income will go to home entertainment and digital goods. This category includes furry art!

So while everyone will be affected by the economic changes, furry artists should be less affected. Especially the best ones! And the least expensive ones. Prices could be down for a while but most artists shouldn't starve. If they do I'm sure the carnivores will be well fed so concentrate on those artists because they're more likely to finish your commission before they die too.

Also I think reptiles are immune to the virus, so that's good for the scalies and dragons out there!

And now for something completely different.

I have a strong interest in the history of World War II, and when I heard that this movie was being made I was in two minds. It could be a great film with historical accuracy and modern special effects. Or it could suck, like "Pearl Harbor".

It was with some trepidation that I watched the opening credits, having isolated myself from any reviews. Was Hollywood going to take a great, true story and totally blow it, as it so often has?

In ten minutes I had my answer. This movie was everything I could have wanted, and more than I thought possible. It told the tense and gripping tale of the Midway battle - from the guessing game of intelligence gathering to the extravagantly realistic special effects of the final battle.

More than that, Midway added the story of an American pilot's wife and family, a Japanese admiral's life, a bombing raid on Tokyo and most of the major carrier actions fromParl Harbor to Midway itself. All without breaking the pace of the film.

Even though I knew the history and how it turned out, I was on the edge of my seat from the dramatic tension during the battle scenes. This magnificent movie deserves to be seen by everyone who has an interest in the historical events that shaped our world.

A delightful Hungarian comic that ran from the 1950s to the 1970s.

Jucika is an attractive young lady who loves to make people happy, often in creative ways. Much more than just a sexy comic.

My male housecat character Digan used to roleplay on Furcadia. It was lots of fun having kinky virtual sex, which is mostly why I was there. Eventually I wanted to try playing as a female.

After a long internal debate about the virtues of bunnies versus squirrels, I chose a bunny. The login name "Dust Bunny" was free and I thought it was amusing. Of course she needed a better name, and Dusty was the obvious choice. I started a small backstory to explain the name - character creation already!

I asked a friend on Furcadia to design a cute, blonde lop-eared* bunny girl, and she made the first pictures of Dusty. I decided that I liked getting artwork of my character, so eventually I commissioned one or two more Dusty drawings. Nothing excessive.

But what was the name Dusty short for? Dustine is a good name, but like Dusty's middle name "Nomiddlename" there is a small joke in it. The Marquis de Sade wrote a novel called Juliette. In it, the title character is abducted by "libertines" - perverts - and forced into sadistic sexual slavery. She hates it of course. de Sade wrote a companion novel, Justine**. The plot is similar to that of the other book in some ways, but the big difference is that Justine enjoys all the bondage and pain. So, "Dustine"!

There's more to Dusty's backstory, most of which was developed during roleplay. I'm amazed by the way a character who was meant to be a sex avatar has developed her own personality! But that's for later, if anyone wants it. Now it's time for the important part - the announcement.

Dusty is a man pretending to be a bondage lesbian. But on FA there are real lesbians with a huge amount of real-life BDSM experience, and one of them would like to talk to you about it.

 nuisum is a 3D artist and writer.

She is also a very experienced bondage practitioner, and she knows exactly how it feels to be a woman as either a top or a bottom. Her knowledge helped me to learn much more about women's sexual responses in BDSM scenes. Now we've begun collaborating on a story - Dusty's Deepest Desires which is based on my desires and nuisum's experience.

"Right" means that permission is given to use my characters, within limits. My finances are poor, so the amount of money I could contribute to a commission is limited. A winner who can afford more would be greatly appreciated.

There is a plotline developing around my new character Leah, which encompasses about ten pictures already posted as well as some in the works. It's a bit messy at the moment because I'm making it up as I go.

Some of the characters change between scenes, and the scenes are out of sequential order. Later on, I hope to rearrange everything into a coherent saga, but for now you might have to guess which characters change from scene to scene and what the sequential order is meant to be. With all the adopts being sold around FA, it seems a relevant question.

Even worse, how do you tell your character that they were bought and paid for?

It's a semi-serious question. I've noticed through role playing and commissioning art, that my characters have a tendency to develop on their own, without conscious input from myself.

A character is a part of a story, and the story of the character is also a story. A story is a sequence of events, and this sequence becomes the character. It interacts with other characters and their stories, further creating itself as an individualised instance.

A story can be like a computer program, carrying instructions on what to do and memories of what was done. In this sense we are all characters in our own stories.

If we can be conscious of our own nature as characters in our stories about ourselves, why can't the characters that we create be conscious of their nature as characters in their stories about themselves?
