Some of my friends wonder why I'm so critical of my art. Well the other day I was reading my happy book (http://www.harpercollins.com/book/i.....=9780060759995) and got to the section about self-esteem and how we see ourselves. That sometimes some event in our childhood could have done this.. A light immediately went off! When I was a little kid and doodled pictures of silly people everywhere my dad told me, "Drawing art won't get you anywhere." And as I got older this saying from him never changed. My mom on the other hand encouraged me, so it was very conflicting. About the time I graduated high school and found a job, I still made my own posters and such, but my dad never let me forget, "Art is not a career, it won't get you anywhere." Is there any artists on the list of millionaires? He asked.. how the hell should I know? I knew what I liked, and that was drawing.. but always in the back of mind it will never be good enough because it will never take me anywhere.

But recently I think it's starting to change. I have met so many new people and even good friends because of my artwork.. And I am starting to think that maybe my art is really good. :)

1. Please, if you see the queue full, don't note me asking to be on the next list.. I'll just get backed up again before I even open. :) *Unless you're a good friend*

2. Free is Free.. please don't ask to pay me to go ahead of others in the queue. The listing of names are when I receive them, and I work on them as inspiration comes to me. (so you can be last on the list and still have you pic finished first)

3. No adult or fetish themes. Sorry.

4. If you already have a picture from me, please be considerate to others and let them have a spot. I would eventually love to do a pic for everyone on my watch list. This does not include if I have done gift art for you.

5. If you know me I am very critical of my own work, I can have a picture 90% finished and erase the whole thing and start over.. so if you think I'm taking too long on your picture, let me know. I hate to keep you guys waiting.

6. I'm sorry for those of you who want to throw money at me.. but my work is not where I want it to be yet so.. still free. If you want to pay for an awesome commission, look at my list of favorite artists.. They will be glad to help you.

7. I appreciate the notes but Please, please do not note me with "draw my fursona free plz" I honestly don't know how to respond to that. And if you have sent me a legible note and I haven't replied in a week or so note me again. It might have been drowned out by all the requests.


MY COMPUTER IS FIXED! :D

I have to reinstall all my important things so I'm going to wait til next month to open. ( As I have a convention this month too) This and trying to organize all my pics and get an external hardrive, and a printer.

Do any of you have experiences with going to FEDEX/KINKOS to print stuff? Can I just save my finished pics to a flash drive and take it in there and print them? I looked on the website and it's kind of confusing.

You all know I do free commissions, but would you send donations for me to buy and actual copy of Photoshop?

Just testing the waters.. I think I need the features Photoshop has.. PS Elements keeps falling short of what I want to do artistically.

Oh and to let you guys know, I can't open on Feb 2nd due to this situation, I'm really sorry guys.. I'll keep you all updated.

Seems like my personal user profile is damaged. The laptop I work from is a company computer so I don't have administrative access.. While my pictures are still on my hardrive, If I have to send my laptop away, they may all be deleted with a system restore. Thank you for all the suggestions I really appreciate it.

While I love doing free art for you guys, hopefully some of you aren't just watching me to get freebies.. :]

Not trying to start drama or anything.. it just made me think.. and I wanted to know how you all felt about it. You know about not getting appreciated for gift art you give to others.

Most of you don't know that I rarely draw mainstream cartoon/anime characters.. I'm just weird like that I guess.. (I may doodle a pokemon here or there but not often) But this only includes drawing. Costumes on the other hand are a whole different story. These are the costumes I want to make someday:
