Alright everyone in a week from now, I'm going to be moving my account and starting a new FA account on my 20th birthday on Sunday,October 17th. The new FA account will be under the new name 'KelbAlrai1990' and its going to have the same icon as this one so its recognizable(The icon here will be removed when moving day comes), probably over the coming weekend I'll update this journal and at the same time I'm going to be taking off all submissions,favorites and info and transferring all of it into the new account. For the last journal of this account it'll have the link to the new account so everyone can watch that account.

I think this is worth putting up, an Indonesian Muslim Rock called 'Dewa 19' led by Ahmad Dani, a Sufi Muslim who spreads messages of peace and tolerance through rock, he makes a music video called "Warriors of Love" that speaks out against religious extremism and hatred using lyrics inspired by the Koran and Spiritual things, I think the lyrics are really good and worth listening too since its really relevant for today's social climate. This is the English version of their #1 hit song in Indonesia "Warriors of Love".

Man this video was very nice yet sad,I can watch war movies and stuff and not flinch but this really made me cry when I watched it the first time, I think you guys will like it, I think this relates to me in so many ways.

Very interesting documentary I found about how Argentina could have won the war against the British, contrary to popular belief it wasn't one-sided, it was a very close war, and if Argentina would have reversed some of their mistakes they would have won. Salaam and Peace everyone! After 30 long days of fasting and spiritual growth Eid Al Fitr(Festival of Breaking the Fast) is finally here! For those who don't know Eid Al Fitr is one of the two big 'Eids' or festivals in Islam, Eid is practically the Muslim version of Christmas and Thanksgiving put together, since in Eid there's a feast and gift giving.On Eid after a morning prayer at the mosque there's joyful feast were people put on fresh clothes, visit family and friends, pay their respects to deceased relatives, get rid of old grudges, and give charity, in Muslim countries its a really big holiday like Christmas here in the US.

All is not lost, I originally got three classes and applied for scholarship but it came a day late and lost my classes as a result and went back to square one, before school began I had one class and today I managed to add two class today so now I have three and there's a possibility I might be able to add one more, things are hectic but I'm going to concentrate on studies when the smoke clears from everyone flooding the classrooms to try and get a class. I'm so happy that Arnold is leaving office this November maybe the next governor will do a better job cause the Governator terminated California's economy :p(I had to say that pun) But I'll stay optimistic that my beloved state that I grew up in will get better, I think I'll vote this November for the new Governor, so now begins a new semester and that means go to lectures and all, I hope to keep my grades up, I made it to the Dean's list in Spring Semester and I did just as well in Summer Semester I hope I can keep it up this semester. Don't worry I'll be on FA everyday to check messages and probably will keep drawing, but I'll see how my schedule will turn out. Wish me luck!

Well after being 14 months on FA I finally reached the one thousand mark, so I thank all of you watchers out there for looking at my amateur art :p I know I pale in comparison to many of the big artists, but you know art is mainly a hobby for me since I'm primarily an historian at heart, I just try to draw at least okay furry art for the fun of it, and at least I want to reach a decent skill level eventually, but if I do I'm not into making money off of it, for me its just a hobby in the scheme of things, for me when I finish my university education eventually I want to be a history professor, I'll be teaching at lecture halls in the week and attend furmeets on the weekends while attending at my local mosque every Friday at the same time, so for me its all about balance, balancing my my faith, my future career and my interest in the furry fandom. Well in other news I found this awesome comic, the 99 a comic book of superheroes inspired by Islamic culture started by Naif Al-Mutawa, here's a program from TED that speaks on his comic, here his comic book fights stereotypes and extremism, it promotes positive messages and the 99 as of now are teaming up with the Justice League of America I think this is worth the watch. Note: by the 18th minute or so it goes to a commercial for some reason, I don't know why they didn't cut it out. But without further ado enjoy this show and I hope they'll be something learned out of this.

Salaam,Shalom and Peace everyone, Ramadan is fast approaching, and according to wikipedia, the first day of Ramadan is on August 11 on Wendesday, for those who don't know Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims in which for a month all healthy Muslims abstain from food, drink and sexual activity from sunrise to sunset, its a month of learning self-discipline,self-control and sacrifice, plus people learn the hunger that the poor feel making people think and reflect, its usually a month of heightened religious activity were people go to the mosque after breaking the fast to pray there every evening if they could. People who don't have to fast are children, pregnant or nursing women, people who are traveling and people with physical or mental disabilities. For me this will be my third year fasting, I didn't really started fasting till I was 16 which was a bit late, but I took things step by step. My goal this Ramadan is to read the whole Koran cover to cover by the end of the month. Now don't worry I won't disappear from FA for a month, I just won't be on FA during the fasting hours during the day(I won't look at yiff while I'm fasting :p), so I'll still be around checking messages and all and I'll be on Skype and Facebook too. And now for a funny Ramadan-related Commercial.

This classic TF scene from Disney's Pinocchio where naughty boys are turned into donkeys on Pleasure Island was probably the moment that my interest in furry stuff began and I was around 11 years old at the time, afterward I began having dreams of my TFing into my favorite animal and stuff like that and I drew stuff that would qualify as furry art, if I can find my old art I'll upload it in the scraps, but anyway, if you guys want to watch your welcome to see. Unlike a lot of kids who were scared of this scene my first reaction was that of fascination and interest, and I started thinking 'that's so cool!' So I think that my fur affinity has always been a part me, a part of my inner nature and it just took one thing to bring it out and then 7 years later I discovered Fur Affinity in which I became an 'official' furry, this scene was also why my first fursona was a donkey but then I decided to turn Canine, but a long-eared one(but not as big as Fennec's) There's something I like about big pointy ears and a long muzzle on a canine :3

Ah today I finished my final and my summer semester and now I have a bout a month off and I'll go for fall semester by August 30. And Ramadan is just around the corner in less than two weeks so at least I can fast for two-thirds of it before fall semester begins :3

Absolutely not, I don't even drink alcohol let alone meth.

[03] Abortion: for or against it?
In my opinion, I'm against abortion cause its destruction of innocent life but its okay in a few circumstances such as rape or the first 3 months of pregnancy rule at best, but circumstances are different from person to person, but abortion should be discouraged since its a life.

[04] Do you think a country would fail with a female president?
Of course not, women should be allowed to take leadership roles, they are many historical and contemporary examples of women successfully ruling a country, I strongly believe in gender equality.

[05] Do you believe in the death penalty?
It depends, I only think the death penalty should apply to murderers if there's undeniable evidence, or rape for undeniable evidence, but the family of the victim can choose to spare the murderer's/rapist's life but in that case he'll go to jail.

[06] Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?
No, I don't care about it.

[07] Are you for or against premarital sex?
Well for straights there's no sex before marriage in my opinion, but for gays/bis they also shouldn't have sex before they have a partnership/marriage or a social contract with someone depending on were they live, but either people should be monogamus whether straight or gay.

I definely do, I'm a Muslim but I lean on the progressive, liberal side, but I do have principles, but I'm open to most ideas, I usually take rational, allegorical take on religion, I also often look at it from a historical point of view.

That's a tough one, well I'll stay neutral on this subject, even though most of my co-religionists would be against it, but you'll be surprised that they are few who would go for it, I'm all for a social contract of some kind to recognize that they're together, but same-sex marriage I choose to sit on the fence and not make an opinion on it.

[10] Do you think it's wrong that so many Hispanics are illegally moving to the USA?
If they are honestly here to work and help their families they should be allowed here since they actually do help the economy, they should only be deported for a few reasons like drugs or something like that.

[11] A twelve year old girl has a baby, should she keep it?
I don't think so, the child deserves to live a decent life and either family takes care of the baby or the baby could be adopted.

[12] Should the alcohol age be lowered to eighteen?
Well I don't drink, and alcohol has more negatives than positives, but I don't care if drinking age is lowered to 18, I mean at 18, your old enough to go to war but not have a drink?If drinking age is 21 than military age should be 21.if people choose to drink, fine that's their life live and let live, I just choose not to drink for health and ethical reasons.

Definley, if Iraq's main export was asparagus than the 101st Airbourne wouldn't be in Iraq now, the Iraq war has cost the lives of over half a million innocent Iraqis and thousands of American soldiers this war has caused so much death and destruction for nothing, even though Saddam was a bad guy and dictator the US had a a history of supporting ruthless dictators like Somoza, the Shah of Iran or Hosni Mubarek of Egypt.

I don't know much about this, so I'll take a neutral stance.

Defineley Obama, even though I don't trust politicians and that they don't do much for the people and usually the elite and the wealthy benefit, I saw Obama as the lesser evil than McCain, cause with McCain things would have been much worse than it is now.

I don't think so, everyone has right to their own opinion.

It turns out after introducing my younger sister to the furry fandom, she's now interested in it! She even asked me to draw a fursona for her! She's deciding between a black wolf or a husky, but anyway she's unofficially a furry!

This vid talks about the Granada mosque in Granada, Spain, it is the newest mosque built in Spain in over five hundred years, they are now an estimated one million Muslims in Spain and unlike the rest of Europe they're doing pretty well with the society even though they are problems here and there, this video inspired me to come up to recreate the modern nation of Granada, essentially a modern version of Spanish Muslim civilization that thrived there from the 8th century to the 15th century.

I have to say it was better than I thought it would be, I had to admit, I had my doubts I actually thought Argentina might actually beat Germany but man the Germans were impressive today, they practically did blitzkrieg on the Argentines and it was just a very one-sided game, Klose did an excellent job and Messi had many chances but his performance has been disappointing, but anyway it was a very good game, it looks like that its very possible that Germany will win their fourth world cup this year.
