Hello all you new followers! I see that people like dinosaurs a lot more than I anticipated. :D

Now onto the not so good stuff. My company is downsizing and I am unfortunately one of the artists who is being retrenched. It sucks hard and I'm scrambling to find another job that I can live with; lots of local game companies are shutting down here and it's looking rather dire. In the mean time though, commissions are open and I'm working on getting my online shop stocked and live.

Hopefully things get better.

2013 is here and like I said I'd reopen commissions for a while and see how it goes while I juggle work at the same time. Last time I tried this I didn't get much sleep at all and it was making working life really tiring so we'll see how this round goes.

Just a heads up for the people who have been waiting for me to reopen commissions, I will most likely reopen for them in January. I won't be taking on many slots as I'm juggling a bunch of personal projects and I don't really want to swamp myself with work too much.

Gonna catch wreck it ralph I am so excited, it's only showing in my country around Christmas and I think that's way longer than I can wait. Thanks you everyone who came down and happened to see me at the convention and liked my stuff enough to buy it! I am fairly low key about this sort of thing and it was a mildly pleasant surprise to meet some local enthusiasts. I am not entirely sure about the fursuiters though. o.o

I actually have extra prints and buttons left over from the con, I'll probably put up a photo of them later. Is anyone interested in buying them? I guess I can ship them over...? I've never done that before. Oh dear.

Anyway I'm going to be busy again, prepping for CTNEXPO in November and I want some decent portfolio stuff to bring with me.

Commissions may reopen sometime towards the end of the year to early next year. Really depends on my schedule and my own personal projects. I'm got some major ideas for the next con and I'll need to do some trial and error to figure some art stuff out.

I didn't think I'd be boothing this year but apparently I am. It's something I have struggled with for a while because I tend to have poorish self esteem when it comes to my art; having trouble placing value on it and so on. But what's done is done and I have a booth on September 1st and 2nd at the STGCC which is a sort of local toy and comic con. It's great because indie artists can set up booths at the artist alley and you see a wide range of artwork that isn't just fanart or anime related and it's often quite refreshing.

This being my first con ever that I am boothing at, I am sort of nervous about the whole thing. I will be selling prints and buttons and stickers and hopefully, sketchbooks. So I'm just throwing this up here; if I have leftover stuff that didn't get sold, is anyone interested in purchasing them? I can put up photos and stuff of the merch when the show is over for you guys to take a look.

I'm having a mild art funk; been doing real world stuff for a while and even though I've been switching some toony stuff in and out, things still feel kinda meh. Work is also meh for reasons I don't want to discuss here. So to ease my mind off stuff for while, I'll be taking 3 slots. Couple of requirements though.

- Quads/ferals are preferred for this round
- If possible, please don't ask for ref sheets now. I'm scarcely in the right mood for it and my time won't allow for that sort of thing right now.

So I'm back from my NY trip and it's back to work for me. What with artslam coming up really soon and D3 being released, I'm gonna be really busy up all the way till perhaps my trip to LA before things slow down again for a bit.

Here's to hoping I don't burn myself out.

Aight then. Flying off tonight. It's going to be a long trip and I hope to get some sketching done while I'm on this long haul journey. I dread to think how long it'll take me to fly to Canada actually; I've always wanted to visit but it seems so very far away. @_@

Oh dear I think I have some people confused. I'm flying to NEW YORK and it's going to be a ridiculous 26-30 hour long affair and it's making me wonder how flying to Canada will be like. More than 30 hours? I don't want to think about it.

Just a heads up.

I'll be going to NY on the 5th of May for a much needed break. Some may say that NY isn't entirely the most restful place to be but I adore the museums and I am very fond of musicals and I enjoy the occasional bout of shopping in America-land. I only hope the weather is pleasant though I daresay it will definitely be cooler than the weather I'm getting on my side.

Okay guys, it's been a fun run but I've been juggling commissions and full time work for nearly 6 months now and I can feel it taking a toll on my mental health so I'm going to go on a commission hiatus for a while. That and I'll be away for a portion of time in May anyway so I won't be able to tend to it.

I may take up smaller bite size commissions like 10 dollar quick and dirty sketch doodles but nothing so time consuming like paintings and character sheets for a while. I also have some personal work I've been neglecting which I'd like to get back to.

I'll probably do another journal post when I'm ready to take on commissions at full force again.

Idly wondering to myself regarding all these furcons. Chances of me going are really slim because they are pretty out of the way from where I am but I am rather curious nonetheless. I may not even set up booth, I'll probably just be there to be well.. curious and mingly and stuff and meet people.

Would anyone actually watch? I'm in Asia so the time difference may be a bit of an issue. I'm on UTC +8 hours so for the most part it's night when it's day there and vice versa. Just curious and want to gauge a reaction before I set anything up. o.o

I've been drawing ref sheets for people but I can't seem to do one for myself. A proper one that I actually like, that is. Weird, huh.

I think it's got to do with the fact that I can never draw my fursona in a single fixed style. It changes and mutates according to my mood. The key elements of her design remain of course but the drawing style shifts and evolves like crazy. If and when I ever get that ref sheet done I think it's going to be a crazy mash up of all the possible looks I tend to draw her in, and then some.

Oh boy.

Just updated the price lists and a new commission type on the blog. It's the vintage wallpaper stuff I've been doing lately and I find it a lot of fun to draw and design. Just take note of the queue and the fact that I am juggling full time work, personal work and commissions, often in the same breath.

Just a general announcement. Now that I've started work, it's taken the majority of my time and I'm balancing my leftover time with my own personal projects, going to the gym, commissions and actually plain old doing nothing. On that note, this is just to let you guys know that I will take a little longer than usual on commissions. They'll still get done don't worry about that, just not at the same speed as I used to.

I just got a job! I'm officially a game designer though with the responsibilities that come with it, it's closer to concept designer. I start on monday!
