Science Furries Discord!
General | Posted 4 months agoHello there!
Relatively recently my BF and I launched a discord for STEM furries to hang out and network with eachother! You can talk about research, academics, talk about your fields and connect with other furries in the field! The discord itself is very small at the moment, but I would really like to grow the community!
We use the discord application system to prevent raids and whatnot, so don't worry if you aren't accepted right away! I just need to accept your application!
If you'd like to join, feel free to use the link here!!!!

Car Accident
General | Posted 5 years agoYesterday I got in a not-so-great car accident. First one in my life.
I was with my bf driving to the grocery store, coming off the highway onto an exit ramp. I didn't expect there to be much ice but I was still slowing down since it was an exit ramp.
Then as I come up the ramp and get ready to merge I see a car, seemingly parked, on the left lane (there were two lanes on this ramp, I was also in the left lane). Naturally, I go to the brakes and try to slow down. Sadly, there was a patch of black ice there which I couldn't see, thus the abs kept stopping me from braking as I slid into the car ahead. No airbags deployed, but still scary.
Story doesn't end here. Naturally, once I check to make sure im not going to be hit, I get out of the car while my bf stays in the car. I go to her car and find her telling me she is pregnant, and to get an ambulance. As fast as I could I rush back to my car, grab my phone and dial 911 as I panickly figure out where I am to direct emergency services.
Now things get a bit hazy for me here, as the timeline of events was hectic. At some point while I was out of the car and my bf was in the car, my car gets rear ended by another car which, yet again, hit the aformentioned ice and slides. They drive a little bit and park on the side of the road as we wait for police, ambulance and fire department to arrive.
They arrive, take a statement from people, the firemen and medics help the pregnant woman into the ambulance. After giving the policeman my insurance, license and reg, I return to my car and sob into my boyfriend's lap.
My car still drives, thankfully. The rear damage, however, will likely be considered as a loss by their insurance company, so I may face paying up to $2000 or more in repairs out of pocket. I can't really afford that, nor can I really afford getting a new car...
Here's hoping this situation turns out better than expected. I just got the car this summer and I really like it, but I may have to cut my losses. This year couldn't get worse.

Arts vs. College
General | Posted 5 years agoHey all,
Might've noticed, I've not been working on art as of late. This is because I recently started college and do not currently have the time to draw as much as I could during the summer (today for example I expect to be done with my school work by 8pm probably. It's 8am.)
I'll try to work on some art when I can, but it may be awhile.
