Instagram Posts
Posted 7 years agoA few years ago, I think like late summer '16 I got into Instagram and started doing a lot of weird experimental photography again. I think it's time I started posting some of it here! People used to be into what I'm doing at least somewhat. So I'll be gradually uploading a backlog of my old instagram posts. A lot of it is pretty weird, but it's all pretty similar to what I used to do here!
If you want to catch up faster or see what I've been up to, you can just check out my Instagram here:

It'll be nice to be posting again, hope you guys like some of it :P

Furpocalypse 2
Posted 10 years agoI'll be going to FP since I live nearby, but I don't have a place to stay up there. SO if anyone has a room spot let me know. Otherwise I'll have to obnoxiously drive up there every day or something x3
AC MAYBE?
Posted 10 years agoI might be going to Anthrocon, I potentially have a room, but I need to figure out the travel situation.
Normally I drive about 8hrs there from CT, but I don't have anyone to carpool with this year. Anyone need a ride, or have the capability to give me one? It'd be way expensive for me to drive all the way there by myself, and obnoxious besides.

Dream Narrative 14
Posted 11 years agoI haven't done one of these in ages, but I had a bunch of odd dreams this morning, so why not.
In the beginning, this dream was about a killer car. It wasn't really a nightmare for me, there was no fear involved, but still, no one really wanted to get run down by this thing. The car itself was some kind of old school two-seater muscle car, maybe from the 60's or so, but probably not modeled after anything in particular, since it was a dream after all. Things are either oddly specific or ambiguous amalgamations. I do remember that it was black, and the headlights were never on. Despite that we never had any trouble seeing where it was. It's just that the time of day and relative light or darkness were sort of irrelevant in the dream world.
So, I remember vaguely that this evil car had been rampaging about trying to kill people, but the important part is that at some point it ended up near my house, and my father and I were home. We spotted this evil, driverless, car roaming around out by the street. I don't think it had noticed us yet luckily, but we didn't really know what to do about it so I called 911. A woman answered, of course asking something like, "What's your emergency?" or "Please state your emergency," whatever it was. I explained the situation, and surprisingly the woman immediately believed us and sent help. I guess maybe it was a well known fact at this point that a car was magically running people down or something.
Authorities arrived, and somehow subdued the vehicle. I don't really recall how they captured it. Perhaps I was hiding somewhere. In any case, what they did with it afterwards was they loaded it up onto a flatbed and drove away, presumably to impound the vehicle or destroy it. I never talked to anyone other than the woman on the emergency line, so I don't know. Sometime in the near future, I had a vague feeling that the car had escaped and was coming back to get us. As I was trying to convince my father of this, we were standing near a window overlooking the street. We spotted a flatbed driving by, loaded with a bunch of semi-spherical concrete construction-looking objects, which essentially seemed to prove to us that the evil car was indeed coming back. I think the implication was that whoever had been driving the flatbed essentially decided not to bother delivering the car and went back to his regular job hauling construction equipment around.
This time the evil car seemed to know exactly where we were right away, and came right for the house. It actually started driving into the house, although not like you might think. It wasn't driving through walls or anything, it just sort of slowly crept in through a doorway, somehow without causing any damage, serial killer style. At this point I ran and hid upstairs in my sister's room, and started to call 911 again, I think. Now, for reference, the upstairs hallway in my house is perpendicular to the staircase, and the whole thing is enclosed. So to get to my sister's room, you have to turn right into the hallway, and then another right a ways down to get into the room. I remember thinking this would be the safest place to hide, because even if the car knew where I was and could get up the stairs, I didn't think it would be able to make those turns. There's just not enough room for a car to navigate the second floor of my house. I don't live in a mansion. Even so, I thought that the car might just wreck the entire first floor in retaliation and take down the entire house with me in it. I wasn't sure whether that would be a favorable outcome or not. The car might be trapped in the rubble, or not. I might myself be trapped or killed. Anyway it was about this point that I woke up briefly and went back to sleep, transitioning to a new dream.
In this dream, I was driving. Nothing fancy, like an evil sports car or anything, just a van. It was nighttime, and I was just sort of driving long distances for no reason. I was not driving very well either, but no one else on the road seemed to care. It was a bit like driving in a video game with no objective. I was sort of all over the road at times, and wasn't even going very fast. I kept nervously glancing at the fuel meter, thinking that I should probably just go home soon because I didn't really have any money for gas. What was I even doing driving around aimlessly? Luckily the next exit that came up on the highway I was traveling just happened to be one that would basically take me right home, even though I had no idea where I was prior to that. How convenient, thanks dream highway.
At some point, I found an inflatable inner tube on the side of the road. I suppose I should specify that it was already inflated. Also it looked like a donut with pink frosting and sprinkles on it. Of course this was all just a 2D graphic, and not some kind of hyper-realistic inflatable donut. That would be cool. Anyway, this is evidently where the product placement comes into my odd video game driving scenario, because the inflato-donut had big letters on the side that said BASKIN ROBBINS. To my knowledge they do not make donuts. I think there might be some donut shops around that also sell their ice cream inside, and my brain just kind of made them a donut shop. Anyway, I took the giant fake donut with me, and at some point in my travels actually spotted the donut shop.
I decided to stop in there and maybe get some donuts. I think they had several of these inflato-donuts kinda tied to long poles, and that's what they were using as signs for the place. So I walked up with the one I had found and gave it to two girls who were standing outside the store. They thanked me and seemed to imply that they were workers who had been stuck there for ages, even though they weren't dressed like employees or anything. I went inside, and got in line. It was fairly busy, and I'd likely have to wait a while. At this point I think it was probably very early morning, so I guess it would make sense for the donut place to be busy.
It looked pretty much like a normal donut shop inside, except for a few things. They had the normal sort of display with donuts in it as part of the counter, but some of the donuts looked a little odd. One in particular that I remember had blue frosting. Instead of being labeling the donuts like usual, they had all of their varieties listed on the menu up above the counter. The mystery of the blue donut was solved quite easily. There was an entry on the menu that said "Berry" only someone had scribbled "Blue raz" underneath it. There was also an orange donut (both the color and the flavor.) In addition to all this, there was a large rectangular table in the middle of the room which the line wrapped around a bit. On this table were all sort of unidentifiable pastries. None of them were donuts, but all of them were much larger than usual. The smaller ones were comparable to perhaps the size of an average book. There were some larger cylindrical ones maybe the size of a person's leg, and some round ones comparable to pumpkins in size. I'm not really sure what any of these things were, or how you were even supposed to eat them mostly.
When I got into the line, there were a few people in front of me that I knew. I don't remember who they were exactly, only that one was a smallish woman and the other was a black guy. The guy started joking around with me, telling me, "There's no food in here." He went on with it, implying that all of the pastries were just for display and nothing could actually be purchased or consumed. My response to this was essentially something like, "Yeah, I just come in here to look at everything and get off on the denial." So this dream essentially ended in donut sex jokes. Although after this I remember a bit where the two people I knew started nibbling at some of the smaller things off the table (apparently you could do that as long as you bought them at the front of the line.) Also I was trying to figure out how many and what sort of donuts I should buy. Then I woke up again.
Now I really want some donuts....

Post AC
Posted 12 years agoSo, I made it to AC for the first time ever, and it was loads of fun! You may have seen me practically any day wandering around with my big red electric guitar and portable rig playing random music, or with my significantly less portable bass, a few times o.o
Other than that I mostly just played Magic, Rock Band, or bought stuff x3 Being sort of shy, and not knowing very many people, it was a little difficult at times, but I talked to a lot of people about music and occasionally some artists (while buying stuff mostly) and it was really nice. It was cool to see a lot of the artists that I've admired for a long time, even if I didn't feel like bothering them.
I'll want to go again next year, if I can :3 however now that it's over:
I'M GOING ON TOUR THIS SUMMER REAL SOON, NEW DATES ADDED!

Posted 12 years agoAt the risk of sounding like an ass, I will say:
If you're offended by people on the internet, it's your own damn fault. It's the internet. We have increased access to people all over the world. That means increased exposure to idiocy along with everything else. Get over it. No matter where you go, it's going to occur to some extent.
No on could ever say a thing to me that would make me leave a website.

Apparently it is (or will soon be) possible to own a domesticated red fox. If you don't feel like reading the article, it goes heavily into emphasizing that these are not "tamed" wild foxes, but actually domesticated animals that they've been genetically breeding in a lab in Siberia for decades to be more manageable and affectionate than wild animals would ever be. Mentions furries a bit as well (even this site specifically :P)
Sooooo anyone who's got $8k lying around should get on this x3

Mentions furries a bit as well (even this site specifically :P)
Sooooo anyone who's got $8k lying around should get on this x3
