Getting back into the swing of things
Posted 13 years agoBeen dealing with my mother's cancer and personal shit, so I haven't been around much on skype (just no energy for talking much).
Things seem to be getting better, so hopefully my routine will stabilize now.
Also drawing! I have time to do it now! Gonna work and practice as hard as I can.

The colouration of the clownfish at the start without the black bars is called "Tangerine" also known as "Albino Tangerine".

It's a bit difficult to tell due to the quality, but I think the fish at 4:35 are Amphiprion nigripes AKA Blackfinned anemonefish also know as the Maldives anemonefish.

1. What is your character's name?
Lucy. Just Lucy. I was going to think up a surname for her, but, eh ....
2. What kind of character is it (furry, anime, etc) and any particular race?
Anthro, Fennec Fox
3. What is the first thing your character would think of when he/she first wakes up?
"I wonder what I should wear today!"
4. Your character's favorite outfit would be?

Probably her hair, I guess,

No. Lucy really loves candy and cakes, much much more than I do. Since she works at a bakery, surrounded by sweet foods, this is fortunate!
7. How is your character similar to you?
We both like the same fashion ... similar personalities (loyal, kind, easily stressed out ...)
8. How is he/she different?
She's more outgoing and confident than me.
9. If your character could speak, would they have the same voice as you?
Nah. I think her voice'd be a bit higher, more feminine.
10. If you were to suddenly become your character, what do you think would be the first thing you would do as them?
Play with her/my tail. X3
11. Is there something about your character that you don't like how others think of them?

Her ability to eat massive amounts of sugary food and not gain a single pound is pretty impressive. :V

She gets waaaay stressed out too easily. Even more so than me, which is saying a lot.

Not really. Just stuff I haven't mentioned.

Yes. I want to make a plushy of her and I'd like to maybe to a small series of drawings of her "teaching" people how to bake.

that she's my fursona. I don't really have one.

Her hair.

I only tell my birth name online to close friends. For various reasons. Really, just call me Alexei. Most people do.
2. How tall are you?
About 5’ 4” or so.
3. Natural hair color?
Dark brown.

Pansexual/polysexual. :>
5. Are you single, taken, or undecided?
Happily taken. <3
6. What do you do in your spare time?
Practise drawing – every day I like to set aside a certain thing to work on, like human anatomy, landscapes, animals and things like that. I also really like writing. I love to create worlds and races, so I spend a lot of time doing that.
Other things: walking, spending time with family, being with friends, playing video games, reading, collecting various things (doujinshi, taxidermy/fur/skulls/bones) and lots more. Recently got back into baking too, so I’ve been having fun with that!
7. What's your job?
Part-time cleaner. It’s an okay job. The hours are good and the pay is great. Looking to go back to college, though.
8. What's one thing you like about yourself?
My loyalty.
9. Alright, now what about something you dislike about yourself?
I’m rather insecure so I can get quite jealous at times. Working on overcoming that, however.
10. What's some things your friends noticed about you when they first met you?
That I’m quite easy to be around, like they’ve known me for years even if they’ve only met me a few hours ago.
11. Of what faith/religion are you (if any at all)?
I don’t really have a religion, but I do have a mishmash of things I believe in. If I ever found a religion that clicked with me, I might start to follow it, but I’ve not been looking. It’s not really that important to me.

Occasionally. Mainly if I’m out at an event. I like all sorts of drinks, particularly vodkas.

Nope.

Going blind. That’s a pretty big one.

Posted 14 years agoI feel as if I'll never improve. I look at artists I admire and just ... feel I'll never reach that level.
I mean, it's stupid to think like that, I know I've only been drawing for a short while (4-5 months) and that I have indeed improved in some areas, but I just can't help myself making comparisons. I just … bleh.

Life Drawing Classes
Posted 14 years agoI’ve started going to life drawing classes. It’s something I’ve really wanted to do for a long time, as I sincerely wish to improve my art.
Although I’ve only been to a few classes, I already can see some little improvements. I still have a lot to learn, though.
So … I’ve been thinking that if I keep improving, that I’d start putting my work online. I’ll admit the thought of strangers seeing my art makes me a bit nervous; there are so many amazing artists on this site, I can’t even compare to them.
But, as I said I want to improve, so I’ll need critiques. LOT’S of critiques.
So … I guess, watch this space?
