Update
Posted 3 years agoHey y'all!
Sorry I haven't posted on here very much. I am going to be uploading a lot of art in the next half hour, so I apologize if you get spammed. I am going to do a better job of being more active on here as well as on Twitter. If you would like to follow me there, here is my account:
https://twitter.com/CanisOvis
Otherwise, yeah, I'll post here more! Really going full swing into my werewolf tarot deck as well, as that is a huge project I want to finish either this year or early 2023. I also have some conventions lined up for dealing in 2022 (if they don't get messed up by COVID) in this order:
Further Confusion 22 (Cancelled)
Furry Weekend Atlanta 22- May 5th- 8th
Anthrocon 22- June 30th- July 3rd
Hope to see folks again when things are safer.

48 HOURS LEFT KICKSTARTER UPDATE!
Posted 5 years agoHey y'all,
It's the last 48 hours of my hoodie and patches Kickstarter. I don't feel like at this point we'll hit any of the stretch goals which makes me sad but, I still feel there is at least a chance to make the actual goal! For those of you that have shared the Kickstarter and pledged (and have put up with me posting about it so much, whew) I am super appreciative! This is gonna be the last chance to get this thing funded. Please, if you haven't already, take a look!
https://www.kickstarter.com/project.....nd-patches-set
I can't promise when I would try running it again, or if I even would run it again, so if you really want that hoodie and/or patch, I suggest you grab it now! Thanks again in advance. I can't wait till this thing is over!!

Open For Commissions
Posted 5 years agoHey y'all.
This year has definitely been rather rough for everyone in so many multiple ways, and I am hoping that for the most part y'all are doing okay.
I am, for the first time, doing art 100% full-time! I am very excited to pursue this journey and I take with it all the bumps and rough spots that have and will come. It's an uncertain and strange time, but I am glad I can at least provide some joy and comfort to others through my work, of which I am appreciative beyond words.
I am currently and indefinitely open for commissions of all sorts. Tattoo concepts, pet portraits, illustrations, badges, headshots, busts, full-bodies, you name it. I plan on brushing off the dust on my Trello and keeping it up to date and accurate as well to have that open transparency. I am listing some base prices below:
Character Art/Badges (can be made into a badge at no additional cost):
Headshot: $60
Bust: $70
Half-body: $80
Full-body: $120
Illustrations/Pet Portraits/*Tattoo Concepts:
4" x 6": $140 (color or black and white)
5" x 7": $170, Color $200
8" x 10": $210, Color $260
11" x 14": $300 , Color $360
*Note: Tattoos will be done in black and white only. I believe tattoo artists have a much better understanding of what colors would look best on skin.
If you are interested in these, please either send me a note here, or more preferably, send me an email at canisovisarts[at]gmail.com
I also still have plenty of shirts and some stickers over on my Etsy as well: https://www.etsy.com/shop/CanisOvis
Thank you all so much for your support and I truly hope that y'all are making it through this slog of a climate.
As a final note:
Black Lives Matter- do your part in confronting inner and outer racism in your life, whether that's challenging ingrained behaviors and core beliefs, discussing the issues with your loved ones or your community, or just educating yourselves. Be safe and be well.
Thanks,
Arthur

Getting Ready for Anthrocon
Posted 6 years agoMay was next level busy what with three cons! I want to say firstly thank you to everyone for their patience with me navigating through these conventions and commissions;; I will definitely have all my outstanding commissions finished by Tuesday this upcoming week.
Besides that, I am currently in preparation mode for Anthrocon! Like most conventions this year, it will be my first time! I have heard amazing things about the con and I know it's the second biggest furry con as well so, I'm excited to see what it's like! I'm going to do my best to try and have at least some kind of new merchandise for the con but, with it being now less than a month away, things are getting tight so I'm not too sure what will come of it.
I will be open for take home commissions only at the con as I will be selling there again by myself. Unfortunately, doing these things alone taxes the hell out of my emotional state and trying to do commissions at con on top of it stresses me out and it turns into a whole big mess. I would rather bring my best work to the table by taking them home, getting adequate rest from the con and being able to focus. My next con after Anthrocon is going to be Anthro Weekend Utah which is fortunately local to me.
Thank you all so much for your support of my work. I really mean it when I say I could not be doing all of this without y'all. It means so so much to me that so many people find value in my work. I could not have imagined getting to this place a few years ago.

So Many Conventions, AAAAA
Posted 6 years agoHey y’all,
This year has been full of a lot of new and exciting experiences for sure. Finished up with Texas Furry Fiesta about a week ago, and it was great!! I met SO MANY cool people! I’m currently catching up on those commissions received from the con as well as other commissions so i will be posting quite a bit soon.
May is gonna be a very busy month! I will be at FWA in the dealer’s den, BLFC in their dealer’s den, and at the end of the month, Denver Pop Culture Con. I am currently open for badge commissions of all type here for pick up at either furry con, or even DPCC really. That can be found here:
https://forms.gle/dJo94LAJyGtpbFZGA
I’m also currently restocking my shirts and plan on making a third one here shortly as well as looking into some special stickers for those May cons.
I appreciate all of you so much and without you I couldn’t be traveling and doing this work.
Thanks,
Arthur

MFF WAS FUN
Posted 7 years agoHey all,
Thanks again to all of you who stopped by at my table and like my works! I cannot express how much it means to me, and again I could not be doing what I am doing without your support of my art and myself. It was definitely a fun experience! I wish I had been able to muster up the courage to talk more with the artists and folks that I look up to, but instead I was kind of an embarrassing wreck that couldn't formulate thoughts well.
Regardless, it was definitely an interesting and fun experience! I would definitely love to go back again next year, hopefully once again as a Dealer. I received a good amount of commissions that I am still working trough. One more body horror badge, an illustration, and then a ram skull tattoo. I am also working on trying to get some new product in the works, such as a hyena sticker pack, a werewolf sticker pack, and again trying to do some more research into patches.
I will be working to get rid of most of my prints, and by that I mean I will not be printing more of them, but I have to figure out the best course of action. Of course, I will work on more prints, but not as much as I used to. As much as I love prints, there is only so much space for them, and honestly I have always been more of a practical person so I would rather work on things such as apparel, patches, and so forth that can be better utilized.
It's gonna be a tough month, but I am ready to complete all that I need to do and prepare for Further Confusion in January.
Thank you all again,
Arthur

MFF 2018 Meme Thing
Posted 7 years agoWell, it's getting close to being that time! I am super excited and stressed at the same time, haha. It will be the biggest furry con that I have been to yet. Decided to fill out one of these things to mark the occasion!
Where are you staying?
I think it's the Hyatt Regency O' Hare.
Who are you staying with?
Portzebie
Luna-Starbright
Sesuu and 2 other people that I don't know.
Day of arrival/Departure?
Wednesday November 28th around 1pm, leaving December 3rd around 7:30pm.
Transportation?
Southwest Airlines to Midway then taking the train to the hotel.
Who will you hang with during the convention?
Definitely Sesuu since, you know they're my spouse. Then uh-- I don't know there's a lot of people ahhh.
How can I find you?
I'll be in the Dealer's Den at table B9 selling my stuff and then after that uh-- I guess wandering around!
Are you cliquey?
I don't really know about any furry cliques. I am pretty wary of new people so I kind of stick to who I know but I'm not opposed to meeting other people.
Will you be suiting?
Nah, I don't have a suit. Yet...
What’s your gender?
Neutrois, so uh-- they/them if that makes more sense.
Are you taken? Are you looking for a mate?
Married to
Sesuu
How tall are you?
A basic 5'5".
Can I talk to you?
Sure! I might be like- anxious though so sorry if I seem real odd.
Can I touch you?
Please don't unless I am on friendship terms with you.
Can I hug or snuggle with you?
Read above.
Can I visit your room?
Nope. I would rather keep that place private.
Are you nice?
I-- think so?? I try to be at least, haha.
Will you draw/do badges/do trades?
I do have MFF badge pre-orders open! Then I will be taking very specific commissions at con. I don't want to be working the whole con haha. If you are interested in commissioning me for a badge, you can find the google document here:
https://goo.gl/forms/W6JmmR4CZktUrvrM2
Are you going to any panels/shows/dances/competitions?
Probably. I just don't know which ones or where. Haven't looked at the schedule yet but I would like to try.
Can I give you stuff?
Sure! I like Coca Cola and Reeses cups and-- wolves. Surprises are fun!
Do you smoke/do drugs/vape?
I don't smoke, but I am down for the recreational drug use of the psychedelic variety! Also the weeds.
Can I buy you a drink?
If you do, I can trade you art or whatever of equal value! I like fruity/mixed drinks.
Will you be going to parties?
Probably. I would like to see some at least.
If I see you, how should I get your attention?
Just say hi! Or-- I dunno, some kinda code word like-- werewolves are good or some shit. Then I will know you are from hereeeee.
What/where will you be eating?
Some kind of monstrous pizza at one point apparently. Other than that, probably food that is bad for you.
Can I come with you for food/fun?
It depends! Just don't invite yourself along without asking. Lmao.
Can I take your picture?
I don't know why you would want to, but I prefer that you would ask first, haha.
I am super looking forward to the con and I hope that I see some of you there!

Updates
Posted 7 years agoHey everyone.
First off, I truly appreciate all of you for watching me and favoriting/commenting/enjoying my work. It means so much more than you know. I just wanted to give a bit of an update since it’s been hectic on my end.
As you can tell, I have fallen quite behind on my Drawtober pieces. I still do very much intend to catch up and finish them, it just may not necessarily be by the end of the month. I’m happy that y’all have been liking them! I’ve been learning a lot through them and having a blast.
I was recently at Anime Banzai this weekend in Layton, Utah which is part of what slowed things down. It went really well though! The best year that I have done so far at that event and I am hoping to have even more for next year if I do it.
One other exciting thing is I was picked from a jury to paint a bourbon barrel for a local distillery! It is my first public art project and I am stoked to be working with another local business. Pictures will be forthcoming. Unfortunately, the deadline is tomorrow because the results of the judging came out so late so, that has definitely added stress.
Finally, I am participating in a local halloween art show in a gallery downtown with a lot of cool local artist friends! We’ll be setting stuff up, decorating our tables, and everything on Friday. Just a really damn busy month that it has been;;
I am also trying to get my MFF commission form up and running for next month, so keep an eye out for that! I had meant to have it finished early this month but again, so many things and not enough time.
Anyway, thank you all! I am looking forward to continuing to show you my new works.

DenFur 2018
Posted 7 years agoHey,
Thank you all of you who came to my booth and said hi! I truly appreciate it, even if I act awkward. I’m working on it;; I promise I will begin moving my art to this account within the next week as well, and deleting/no longer using my previous account. I have two take home commissions I will be finishing up that I loved working on! As well as the one I finished at con! I like commissions for the simple fact that it allows me to draw animals I don’t usually get to draw and it always feels nice that someone wants me to draw their character in my style.
The con was fun, I’ll see what the future holds in store if I can get in again, haha. Otherwise, the next furry con I’ll be at is MFF, then Further Confusion in 2019!
Thank you all again.
