Apologies + Updates ♥

I just wanted to apologise for the lack of activity over the past two months. I was recently the victim of fraud and I had lots of money stolen from my bank account - so I've been so stressed trying to sort that out!
Luckily the bank realised that it was fraudulent and returned the money.
I completed a couple of commissions on my "hiatus" and I will upload those soon!
Anyway, now I can stop stressing, I will get back to work on commissions properly! c:

I've done all my owed commishes so I'm opening for some cheap wing-its! I have the rest of the week off work so I have lots of time to get them done! However, I will only be opening 3 slots so I don't bite off more than I can chew!
The prices are:
$25 USD for a full colour partial body wing-it (Normally $35)
$35 USD for a full colour full body wing-it (Normally $40)
The idea of a wing it. . .
All you need to tell me is whether you want it SFW or NSFW and a mood (i.e. happy, sexy, angry, cute, etc.) and I will choose the pose and stuff!

Dear friends...
Posted 10 years agoGood evening/afternoon/morning/whatever time it is where you are...
I am just writing this journal to sincerely apologise to my friends. As friends of mine will be aware.. I've been quite distant in communication these past few months and it takes a lot to get a decent conversation out of me. I'm quick with business chats like commissions, crap with personal stuff like life. I feel awful that I have so many unanswered texts in my phone inbox and unanswered messages on my Skype... I should be making more of an effort because I love my pals... I've just been so wrapped up with financial strain, work, vet bills, depression and desperately trying to work through commissions to help with the money worries that I sort of fell off the planet for a while and unintentionally started pushing away my friends. It's been a tough year, but I'm not here to write a sob story; I wanted to let my dear friends who are looking out for me know that I appreciate it and I'm sorry I have been a butt head.
This goes out to my watchers as well. I appreciate every single one of you so much and I wish I could give you all unlimited hugs and cookies! The support you give me is incredible :3
I am going to make more of an effort to reply to all submission comments from now on, hold more raffles to show my appreciation and also make sure my buddies know that I am going to start communicating more instead of getting lost in the situation of 'all work and no play'. xD

Posted 10 years agoSo the imminent arrival of my favourite season is nigh! It's nearly winter, the season of wearing tights or very unattractive thermals under your jeans and the hat and scarf your nana knitted you last year! I love this time of year, even with the blistering cold and having to scrape ice off your car every morning... Okay maybe not that part.. But I do love the run-up to Christmas once Halloween and Bonfire Night are over! Bring on the three months of 2spooky5u, fireworks and CHRISTMAS! If you ever wondered why Skye has the last name "Winter".. Now you know. <3 Hope you all like my icon anyways :)

Posted 10 years agoI've seen a few people now doing this furry pet peeves thing, so I thought I'd do it as well... because why not?!
What are your furry pet peeves?
- ANNOYING "I'M-SO-CUTE" FURRIES. Justasliver will tell you how irritated I get when I come across someone who is like "hehehe that'sh so rawrsome n stuffs *luffs and huggles and paws at you* <3<3<3xxxxxxxxx ^___^" It's not cute. I find it incredibly obnoxious. xD
- Furries who for some bizarre reason think they're actually animals in real life and bark/pant/whatever in normal social situations. I avoid these furries at meets like the plague. I think this links in with the dislike of overly "cutesy" people though.
- When people ask me via notes to engage in shitty RP... LOL no. Please don't ask me because I really, really am not interested.
- People who comment on art with "This would be hot if it wasn't for [insert whatever kink here] in it"... well why did you look at it if you don't like it, let alone comment on it? Just don't look at it? o.O
- People who ask for free art.
- Artists who think because they are popular that they are untouchable and can treat their commissioners like crap.
- The word "popufur" is annoying as well.

- justasliver using words like "fansharking" LOL IT'S NOT A WORD. STOP TRYING TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. FSJDGHFSJHGDGDF ♥
- Artists who spam YCH/Auction/Adoptable reminders every freaking hour. The amount of people I've unwatched because of that is silly.
- People who are obnoxiously protective over their closed species and on every single piece of art put something like "DIS IS A CLOSED SPECIES OK NO STEALING!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S COPYRIGHT!!!!!! DO NOT USE!!!!!!!" alright, we get the point jfc calm yo tits.
- Commissioners who message you every 10 seconds asking for an update on their commission. Please realise that art takes time and I do have a life outside of art as well which means I am not doing art 24/7.
- Artists who don't properly check reference sheets and get multiple details wrong. Some things you can let slide but when it's something big and they refuse to change it... it's just bad.
I'll write more if I think of some, but for now I think that just about covers it!
I'm generally quite tolerant but everyone has those certain "niggles" that drive them nuts, and these are mine. Remember, everyone is entitled to their opinion and I'd never target someone in a spiteful or negative way just because they have an annoying habit. Just clearing that up!
Feel free to do this meme if you want to! Sometimes it's nice to get it off your chest. c':

[ Rant - Digital Art IS real art ]
Posted 10 years agoOkay so... I'm here to spill some angry feels after being told that my art is in fact "not real art" because it's digital. Well I have some things to say about that, mister!
Firstly; let's define 'real'.
real (riːl/)
adjective
1. actually existing as a thing or occurring in fact; not imagined or supposed.
"Julius Caesar was a real person"
So the word "real" basically means that something exists... That it is not imagined in any way. So because I sometimes choose the medium of Photoshop or Paint Tool SAI to draw, the artwork created in it suddenly ceases to exist and is not "real"? No. Can you see the finished artwork when it's done? Yes. Therefore it is real. But maybe I'm just being pedantic about your use of the word "real", who knows? Regardless of your poor choice of word, you're wrong. And I will tell you why.
If you've ever picked up a tablet and Photoshop and tried to draw in it, you will see that there is no magic button that says "make art"; we go through the exact same thing traditional artists do when creating our work. We still have to go through hours (sometimes days!) of painstaking sketching to get it right, and hours upon hours of lining, colouring, shading and highlighting. It is a FACT that if you cannot draw traditionally, you cannot draw digitally either(and vice versa), because the talent still lies within YOU, not the medium in which you use to draw.
"But it's easier cuz you can resize, move around and scale artwork if it's not right!"
...so? Does that make the talent used to draw and compose an art piece any less? No.
Is digital art "easier"? NO. Is digital art "just a bit more convenient"? YES. But it doesn't take any less talent than traditional art; maybe just a little less time.
"but you have Ctrl+z!!"
...you have an eraser. It's the same goddamn thing! All digital art does is give us more freedom to make mistakes. It's still a pain in the ass! Just because we can erase a little easier than you doesn't mean we lack the skills! Again, it's merely just a little more convenient... But it's certainly not "cheating"!
If you think digital art is cheating then GTFO my page. It's exactly the same as traditional art, minus a few inconvenient things. We still have to own and build the skills of anatomy, sketching, line art, shading, highlighting, blending, detailing and every other thing artists have gotta build on! It's just our medium is slightly more convenient when it comes to time.
So sit down, shut up, and don't knock an art form if you're too ignorant to even try to understand it.

Okay I'll cut straight to the chase. I'm really bad (and I mean really bad) at explaining things in words, which is why I draw my feelings instead.. heh. But right now I'm at work so unfortunately I don't have the tools to draw. ;n; All I wanted to do really is make a dedication post for my best friend,

Basically. I suffer with an emotional disorder. Which means I can be difficult sometimes, and my emotions can fluctuate for no apparent reason at all. It also means I feel emotion a lot stronger than your average person does, so where normal people feel sad, I feel depressed, when they feel happy, I'm ecstatic and so on. Because of this I can be a little bit difficult towards those I love, because I just can't bottle up feelings when they are so strong and I end up exploding feels everywhere. xD
Through it all, Jinx has been by my side, holding my hand and guiding me through it all, constantly reassuring me that it's okay and everything is going to be just fine. He's kept his arms around me and not let me say a bad word about myself at all, telling me that I'm a normal person like everybody else and that I just have some personal issues to deal with. He makes me feel... alive, and like a normal human being. Without him I feel like I'm just an alien in this world, like I just don't fit in anywhere because I feel as though my brain doesn't work right. Of course, Jinx tells me I'm being silly and shuts me up by shoving a chicken pie in my mouth. :B He knows me too well. But anyway...
I just wanted to say, even though I've been stupid and snarky towards you unintentionally on occasion over this past year, thank you so much for sticking by me. Along with my disorder comes a horrible fear of abandonment, and I'm lucky to have such a friend as Jinx; whose kind words are reassuring when I'm feeling down or lost.
You are my best friend, and I'm sorry for being a butthole sometimes. It's hard to handle but I'm getting there. And it's all thanks to you, I couldn't have gotten this far without you, Jinxbutt. ♥ Please never ever ever ever EVER leave my life. Ever. ;u;

I just wanted to say, even though I've been stupid and snarky towards you unintentionally on occasion over this past year, thank you so much for sticking by me. Along with my disorder comes a horrible fear of abandonment, and I'm lucky to have such a friend as Jinx; whose kind words are reassuring when I'm feeling down or lost.
