I've sent an email to the org Red Umbrella Sweden which is made up by sex workers fighting for SW rights over here. I'm still waiting for a reply (dont expect them to be fully staffed on a sunday, bless them), but if I get a response that leads to any clarity on the situation I'll update yall abt it again.

Fuck SWERFs, Sex Work is Real Work. If you do porn commissions but dont respect SW rights, they wont be there to fight for You when they come for Us.

I mean thats nothing new, its been illegal to BUY sex work here for all my life but new ruling has "updated it to keep up with a digital era" as well, and now you can get prison time for buying sex chats, private camera sessions, and similar. I'm trying to figure out if this covers sexual art and commissions as well, because if it does I am FUCKED six ways to sunday. Sure I got a new jobb comming up that offers a decent pay and steady hours, but I wont be able to commission art with that pay, nor would I be able to get back into taking nsfw commissions again; Which is part of why I've been able to keep my home for all these years while struggling to get a damn steady jobb.

Its patrionising nonsense that isnt going to protect anyone, is going to push allready exposed and vulnerable people into WORSE situations. People who do sex work for survival reasons will be forced underground where lack of transparency and oversight is gonna get them into even deeper problems. The socdems who suported the law cited "Direct links between sex work leading to more severe forms of prostitution, drugs, and trafficking" and yeah, Berit, I'm sure it Does That if you make it illegal to do it so that the people who do it has to do it rubbing shoulders with people who is primed to take advantage of them.

I'm mad as hell about it.

Dayjobb barely given me any hours, so rents gonna be... Though to make. So I'm opening my 20 USD "I put one hour of work into it" commissions again!

Plea for help

So I just got back from a trip to america to finally meet my partners, and looked over my bills. Due to the trip, and not getting a whole lot of hours at my dayjobb before that, I'm now unable to pay for all my stuff this month :(

The total of my bills, including rent, phone, medical stuff, insurance, etc, comes up to around 600 USD. I can with what I have scrape togheter shy of 300 including current commissions in que. So I'd super appreciate some help to sort my stuff out so I wont have to go into more debt than I allready am to make it through this one.

Been away for a few weeks to finally meet my partners over in America :) The trip went well and I've had a lovely two weeks.

But being away from my dayjobb and not being able to work on art for a bit, my economy isn't doing so hot so I would really appreciate if I could get some more commission work in. Apologies that it took so long to update on here. The scare of last update when I was in dire straits is mostly over and things have evened out a bit thansk to a lot of help from kind donors on ko-fi, commissioners, and taking a lot of hours at work.

I am sorry I've left yall hanging on the growth drive. A bunch of stuff came up; I lost my jobb, my car needed a bunch of repairs and new tires, I got forced to take on more commissions to be able pay groceries (cus the drive money I was hoping would go to my trip to america had allready gotten eaten up by bills). I finally got a new dayjobb and its been real busy so I finally managed to catch up on commissions and thought I'd be able to wrap up the growth drive, but now my tablet (which I bought last May) is on the fritz and I'm trying to wrangle Wacom to help me fix it before I try to replace it : s its been up and down, and I'm sorry if I left people thinking I just took the money and ran on the donation drive :( I'm working on it, promise.

December ended with a surprise car breakdown that ate up all my savings, leaving me Just managing. If my job didn't allow me to make lunchboxes from leftovers I'm not even sure how I'd been able to afford food this month. And after doing the budget for february I've realized I've made JUST enough to cover my bills, rent, and the interest on my student debt. I dont got more than perhaps a weeks worth of gas, OR one full basket at the grocery store.

The car repairs dashed my hopes I'd be able to save up to be able to go to america to meet my partners this summer. And now I'm choosing between being able to Get to Work, or having food at home.

Summer is here and Im going back to the summer restaurant Ive been working at the last few years. Due to my new computer setup being more stationary than what I had in the past it's likely that it'll be hard for me to work on commissions while I have to stay at the work appartment, and as such commissions are going to take a lot of time. Therefore I decided its best I dont take on more work untill I can finish what I have, and get more time to work on art again.

People who I allready own art will get theirs, but I ask yall to be patient with me. I'll be working on them as much as I can when I got days off enough that I have time to go home to my own place and access my work station.

Had a bit of a depressive slump lately and been unable to focus on my art, which has given my current clients a lot of wait. So I am going to close commissions untill I can catch up my current que.
