Concerning RemiNES (recently uploaded comic)

the reason its unfinished is because me and the writer couldnt think of what to do, so we gave up. simple as that.
now a lot of you (MOST of you) are asking me to pick it up again.
I want you all, for a moment, to consider how taxing it is to plot out the basic frame of a comic, conceptualizing and sketching, redesigning/updating their look, and keeping with the tone of the previous comic.
Now this is not to guilt you or try to educate you, because I know you guys have heard this artist's spiel before.
so here is what im going to suggest.
I already do 'In Good Time', the swat kats college comic, based on a donations. That comic gets a lot of focus from my audience and generally has a good reception.
You guys want me to continue "RemiNES" based on the 'potential' improvements I could apply to the previous comic...which I should be able to do if im going to make comics a living.
However itd be a HUGE job for me to do two side-by-side comics with a consistent style and ask you guys to pay for them both by the page forever.
So as i said in the last journal, the fate of this comic is left solely to you fans.
Since 'In Good Time' is very popular i run the pages at a rate of $60 per page. I cannot ask you guys to donate that much for 2 comics at a time, and further more im not going to go to the trouble of writing an entire comic just for people to stop donating halfway through.
so instead of doing it 'per page', im going to make an end-all goal of $300 USD for everyone to donate. (For a frame of reference, $300 would equal 5 pages of "In Good Time" ). This does not mean that im asking 5 of you to donate 100, or one of you to donate everything at once. This means that if enough people donate to me SPECIFICALLY telling me its for RemiNES and it reaches 300, Ill finish the series.
This is not a way for me to just squeeze you dry for money, this is for me to see if the demand for this thing is real, or if you guys just want more without putting in the support. if less than half of my watchers donated $10 each we'd be more than doubled over, see? Its not asking for much when you put it that way.
Whether it takes weeks or months, as long as i know the interest is there and you guys REALLY want me to do this (and show it), I will finish it as spectacularly as possible :3

The reason its not done is because me and the writer did it as a pet project over the summer of '11, but his heart wasnt in it. he couldnt think of what to do next and i was starting school again soon so we both agreed to give it up.
so that is why we have the incomplete thrown together ending..
if you guys REALLY want me to finish it...I'll think of something tomorrow but. yeah

The Current Situation...

I have unfortunate news.
if you wondered why i was absent all week, my hard drive has been completely 100% shot and can not be resurrected. I am now on a new machine
however, i anticipated this and created a back up a month ago.
BUUT
Windows was rly cool and decided backups from XP just plain wont work with windows 7, even after downloading NT software specifically made for fixing that problem.
as of now i have none of my previous files pertaining to commissions, comics, refs, anything. its all unavaliable.
So im going to give you the best prediction/update i can about how things will go this week.
im going to give my external hard drive to my father tuesday so he can take it to work and try to back it up onto another XP machine, and then copy back the documents and settings as stand-alone folders onto the same drive. that way i can at least manually 'back up' my stuff.
This still does not replace everything, and im pretty sure some things will be lost forever, so i ask that everyone please give me some consideration if the commissions and updates are slow. im still getting used to windows 7 myself.
(also if you ask about the swat kats comic I will personally maim you. id be working on the next page if there weren't constant unpredictable things being thrown my way preventing me from accomplishing any of my tasks.)

Hand Treatment: Update

NYC has been hit with the shittiest of weather so its really not helping (humidity/crazy barometric pressure/ cold aggravates bone and joint pain) so unfortunately i have to report that im currently worse off than before.
I am severely limiting my activities, but of course it's inevitable that you'll have to use your hands throughout the day so little progress has been seen.
Ive been taking some small and some drastic measures to ensure healing. these go as follows:
- eating an anti-inflammatory diet. Im using this pyramid as a guideline ( http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/ART0201.....lammatory-diet )but im not following it to the letter because its not the ideal diet for someone like me to stay healthy.
- I take 1000mg of Flaxseed Oil pills every day
-Im looking into getting both a hand brace and a Paraffin Wax Dip unit for my house. the wax will be essential in heat related treatments
- i soak my hands in warm water and hot towels multiple times a day
- I take ibuprofen for the swelling and aleeve for the pain if i need to
Here are some methods i want to/have to avoid.
-surgery (duh)
-Glucosamine, a supplement used to treat joint pain. I cannot take this because it contains bits of crustaceans, which I am deathly allergic to.
-Fish Oil- again it can potentially possess elements of shell fish which is dangerous.
If any of you have any suggestions or have had this before, feel free to give me your advice. This is going to be a tough month and its starting off extremely difficult, thanks for everyone's support.
