I want to make one point very clear to everyone..

I was very upset with the downtime on FA, and that's understandable, everyone was.

However, that is not grounds for me to say FA is a shitty site, insult the mods, or pack up and leave to another website to exclusively post my content.


Why?


1. FA got me where I am today!

I started way back in the day when So Furry was Yiffstar (2008 or so) and eventually made my way to FA through word of mouth. Albeit i was underage at the time but regardless, nothing felt more natural and easy than posting to FA. And now that I've restored trust with the admins who allow me to continue to post here, Ive had one of the the greatest years ever here, and one week of downtime is not going to ruin an otherwise great experience.


2. I have my work on other sites already!

As most of you know i have work on Tumblr, Weasyl, and Inkbunny, and ive seen varying levels of exposure on each website, but regardless its all been a positive experience.

however, when you look at the numbers involved, it goes without saying that posting work here will mean the most amount of people possible will see it.

Also I have a problem with the whole 'fenderbender' thing on Weasyl.

Now I post clean traditional work on my weasyl, and that account was INTENDED for a new (non porn) audience, and anyone who had seen my porn work and was interested enough to look at my weasyl was more than welcom to!

But in the grand scheme of things, they're just 2 very dfferent audiences, and I dont appreciate that weasyl made it difficult for me to separate my clean from my adult work when that was the specific reason I made the account, so no, i wont be posting exclusive work to weasyl, or inkbunny. The only thing you might see exclusively is on my Tumblr because i post WIPS on the rare occassion.

Some might say that it came at just the right time, insulting FA's admins..and i wont agree or deny with that idea. overall im just very annoyed at it.

So now that this is all cleared up, Id like to just reinforce the idea that Im not blindly ignoring FA's problems, I agree that they should change a lot of things. But throwing a hissy fit and going somewhere else and straight up ignoring my fans here would just be shitty to you guys.

So dont worry, if i leave its not because i have a problem with the website, its because i have a problem with myself or the people on it.

Okay, so ive been spending a lot of time thinking about how things in my life are going and how the next few months should play out, and this is what ive decided on doing.


December:

As of now im working on side projects traditionally because its easier on my hands and such. Im going to work slowly on commissions till the end of the year. the Swat Kats comic will most likely not update for some time as i have much work that i owe already and payed work will always take priority.

As far as treatment for my hands im using Tiger Balm/Bengay every morning before and after i draw and taking frequent breaks. As it is now i have limited windows of time (3-4 hours) where i can work before any discomfort sets in. Ill work as diligently as i can until christmas and then Ill be spending that week seeing friends and family, ect up until new years.

January:

This is where the unpleasant news comes in.

Ive made the decision to take a sabbatical for the entirety of the month. I wont be taking commissions, posting normal work, or updating much. Im going to focus the month to seriously treating my hands with therapy tools and possibly more urgent medical treatment. I will also be limiting my computer time so those I talk to on skype, please dont think im being a ghost/avoiding you. Spending all day typing is only detrimental to my recovery
process.


now for the condition of "In Good Time", the Swat Kats comic.


"In Good Time" will start running on a donation-basis come January 1st. I will make a follow up journal concerning goals and such. Essentially I'll want a certain amount donated before i publish a page (dont worry, it wont be some ridiculous amount). This is mostly because I will need some income due to the lack of commissions and also because it shows the over-all interest in the project (as it will be a pretty ambitious accomplishment if it is ever made to completion)

now of course everyone including me is thinking "nigga just get a job for income fuck face"

yeah no shit i know :P Ill be doing that and working on comics to self publish, pitch to companies, send submissions, ect.

but because everything in life is not set in stone and i have people who want to support me im going to utilize that in a way that gives you guys the comic you want to see and me something reasonable to use until i can heal.


February-onward:

Should my hands be healed and i find a routine for drawing that prevents it from happening again, I do plan to take up commissions again and continue the donation-based page rate for "In Good Time" if it proves successful.
However as much fun as I have drawing porn for money I do aspire to greater things in life so after this period I cant say for sure how long ill continue doing that. if things come up and great oppurtunities present themself I will begin to leave this behind and post less and less. Its sad but it has to happen eventually.

but until then look forward to some fun work and thank everyone for being patient :3

hey all

first off id like to say I had a blast at NYC Comic Con, and which each cool thing I got I was reminded of who got me there and how quickly I need/want to get back to work.


Now i had a mix of acupuncture and a paraffin wax dip treatment and I have to say, my hands are feeling much more nimble, like they're supposed to. but the doctor advised me to wait another week before drawing again...


I respect her professional opinion so I'll play by the rules so i dont fuck up my hands again, but if I feel that they're good to go after a few more days I will return to art asap.

now what to expect? as i said before first things first commissions will take a priority. after which I will probably take a small hiatus to work on my own projects and, when i can, work on the swat kats comic ( and to people who are impatient feel free to use your glorious imaginations to fill in the gaps after page 1 unless you want a comic that looks like i did it with my left - non dominant - hand)

okay so im getting some kind of acupuncture treatment today..I dont know much about it so I cant guarantee results. I just hope it relives some of the tension in my hands.


as for this weeks schedule if im feeling okay after treatment today ill try doodling some, but I most likely wont be able to work on anything until saturday/sunday (if the treatment/other therapies) work. Thursday is comic con and from past experiences Ill need at least a day to recover from that (the Javits center is huge!Hopefully I can find a totebag big enough so that i can support stuff on my shoulder rather than carry it in my hands.)

if nothing good comes of the acupuncture Ill probably have to see a legit doctor about it >_> but I really hope the issue isnt that deep.

ive stopped taking Ibuprofen as a inflammatory suppressant because it consistently gives me a giant hive on my face every time i take it. for now Ill use Aleve. for hand therapy ive been using Tiger Balm (low strength) and soaking my hands in epsom salt when i can.

once i recover im going to focus on completing everyones commissions and most likely take some personal time again to work on my projects.

since I have had such a huge gap in my work schedule funds have caught up. im low on cash and if the acupuncture works Ill probably go back to see her a few times...I dont feel like after this set of commissions Ill have the time/energy to go back to how things were just yet...soo...

Hey guys.

so yeah clearly its taking me longer than usual to work on my commissions, and its not a tablet problem this time

this time its me. my hands to be more specific

im finding myself with signs of carpal tunnel syndrome and/or arthritis in my hands thats making it impossible for me to deliver the quality of work that should come with my work.

I can still draw, but if anything it'll come out looking janky. its been an issue for the last week and a half, my hand and arm isnt responding precisely enough to make the lines I want, the joints are stiff and refuse to do what I need them to.


Im taking advice from various people and going on a long break from drawing, piano, ect. anything rigorous. im going to invest in some hand therapy toys like stress balls and maybe even some ointments if I have to.

I hope you all can understand, and Im grateful for my current commissioner's patience. this could take more than a week to overcome and even then Ill have to start exercises and breaking more often. Ive been pushing myself too hard to work every day and it finally caught up :P

Again, as i stated before PLEASE do not expect this comic to be 100% canon to the original show, it is an alternate prologue and is not going to be accurate as I havent seen the cartoon and dont plan to.

2. The muscle/jock/bear obsessed manly artist

3. The 'clean' honest artist who just wants to make a living but is stuck in a slutty community

4. The 'weird tumblr girl' artist who mainly draws herms and is obsessed with pairing random straight guys together

5. The 'art whore' who actually cant draw and constantly plots to get the others to make her stuff

6. The 'fursuiter' who is constantly suiting. his real face is never seen.

well! its been a long month and a half or so but I finally finished the first chapter of my swat kats college porn saga :P


it was fun but doing 2 pages a week + commissions is a bit much..Ill have to rethink my schedule for chapter 2.


as of now there's now imminent release date for the next chapter but there are a few certainties.

1. It'll be longer

2. It'll show both chance and jake fully nude
