General | Posted 6 years agoAs of today, if your payment on my patreon gets declined, you are permanently blocked. Do not pledge to me if you think (for any reason) that you will not have the money in your account by the end of the month. I am tired of having to constantly re-add people just for them to get declined again a few months later. It is not my responsibility to manage your finances, this is my income. I can't just let people get content without following through. I deal with enough people who purposefully use fraudulent methods to get access to my patreon content to re-post it elsewhere.
So, if you are thinking of pledging to me, ask yourself the following:
1. Do I make enough money to pledge without putting myself out?
2. Do I keep track of how many people I'm pledged to so I don't go over budget at the end of the month?
3. Does my bank consider Patreon charges suspicious and is this going to be an ongoing issue?
If you can't meet those requirements PLEASE do not pledge to me just because you want to support me. It is detrimental to my finances to have a lower income than projected because 20 people had defaulted payments.

General | Posted 7 years agoSo, I've run my patreon for over 3 years now, and while i am thankful for those who have pledged and stayed supportive over that time it has been pretty stagnant in terms of growth for over a year now. I eventually want my patreon to supersede my other platforms and the thing im dedicating the most time to. Im currently behind because of so many other obligations i have (lost a week of work due to being sick), and at the level im making there i can really only do 2 updates a month so i have time to work on commissions and other work behind the scenes.
I've said all that to say this:
What would you, my viewers who aren't pledged, want to see on my Patreon that would tempt you to pledge?
Note that this doesn't mean I dont post anywhere else, it just means that I would be taking less commissions and producing more content for patreon. 90% of my posts are commissions for other people, those wont be locked behind any sort of paywall.

I will put the synopsis here:
"Starting in September I would like to implement some major changes to not only my Patreon but how I do things in general. Because they are so big I will list the actual choices here:
1. Change my Patreon to charge per-update. I will start putting the majority of my content/focus on here with original pinups/sketches being posted a few times a month, Bodega Cat will move to a higher tier and I will also do polls for pinup subjects that you all get to vote on! Streams will also be available for both tiers of patrons for free (and will be much more frequent). This would mean that I would be doing less commissions and posting less often to other websites so this would be the main place to see my work.
2. Keep everything the same, where I have way less time to work on Bodega Cat because my schedule is hectic and Commissions take up the majority of my time (which is why I was barely able to stream last month) and everyone gets charged regardless.
Keep in mind, Patreon is part of my livelihood and it's become increasingly hard to rely on it the way it is now. With the changes I stated Patreon will go from a small cushion at the end of the month to a significant part of my income. But of course your opinion matters because you guys are the ones supporting me, so please let me know!"
