So, after 7 months of being made redundant, I finally have a new job! No more sleepless nights over money -3- It's an admin role and I'm nervous about getting back into a routine, but my new coworkers seem super nice, so I really hope this goes well ;^;

Man, I need to update this more often.


So an update on my last journal! I'm happy (and relieved) to report I have found a new job! I...actually started it last month but kept forgetting to post updates lel
Funny thing is, my boss is my next door neighbour XD He recognised he because he's seen me petting his cats a few times :3c It started out as a formal job interview, then ended up with us chatting about his cats for half an hour.
I think the moral of this story is: Be nice to cats and you'll get a job. Or something :V

Also, I will be attending MCM Comic Con this weekend as always :D I'll be cosplaying Conductor from A Hat in Time on Friday and Pearl from Splatoon on Saturday. I've literally had my costumes finished with over a month to spare because I was too excited :'3 My aim is to get as many photos as possible this year because the last few times I've been, I kept chickening out of asking cosplayers for photos, but this time I wanna document every second! MCM is one of the biggest highlights of my year and I don't want to forget a minute of it <3

I got made redundant from work today (along with 'other members of staff', so I was told) due to a huge loss of income. I literally walked in, got told the news, then got told to leave. 2 years of hard work and this is the fucking thanks I get :/

I have rent and bills to pay and 5 pet rats to look after, and I can't afford to be out of work right now. I'm applying to every job I find in desperation, but until then I really need some money just to keep going.

Anyway, my bf and I are all packed and ready for MCM Comic con this weekend! :D I'll be there in my Inkling cosplay on Friday and my Pearl cosplay on Saturday ^^

We're not staying in a hotel this year bc we didn't wanna leave our ratties behind (I missed them so much last time hnnn ;-;) so travelling there and back with cosplay props is going to be a fun challenge XD But to be fair there's nothing too bulky to carry so we'll see...

Hope to see some of you there! My goal this year is to take waaaay more photos; there are so many awesome cosplayers at MCM every year and I always get so nervous asking for photos ._.

I'm curious to see how many fursuiters there will be, if any - obviously I know ConFuzzled is on the same weekend, and so far I only know one furry who is going to MCM instead :0

I'm sorry for being so quiet on here, I've been dealing with a loss so haven't been as motivated to draw, or do anything productive. I'm way more active on Twitter & Tumblr & DeviantART than I am here.

I'm going with my bf and my sister- we'll be wearing our Villainous cosplay on Friday and our Fairly OddParents cosplay on sunday ^^ Yeah, I know most people go on a saturday, but last year we went on saturday and it was just too busy, people were literally shoving us around and knocking into us :c although the friday is meant to be just as busy as the saturday this year, so...that backfired. But still! xD

I stilll can't believe this is happening omg ;3;

So, after considering myself a furry for about 5 years or so, I'm super excited to announce I am getting a plantigrade fursuit of Shivers! Made by the extremely talented  madebymercury :D

I've sent a two or three quotes over the last couple of months, but I'm so glad I was picked by Made by Mercury out of all of them, they have such amazing suits (I know a couple of people who have suits from the same maker and the quality is just so goood^^ ). I've paid for the suit already, even though it won't be completed til August 2018 (so worth the wait though!) so now I've just gotta sit and wait for updates, and send my DTD nearer to the time (I made it already, I got too excited to wait lel...although making it was hell. Having to keep still for 3 hours destroyed me xD)

This is a really big deal for me. I've seen myself as a furry for so long, and since last october I've been going to local furmeets every month, and it's made me want to get a suit more than ever. This is going to sound cheesy as hell, but I feel like I've found a community where I'm 100% accepted for me. I've made so many friends through the furry fandom, both IRL and online, and now I know I'm getting a fursuit, I'm just...ahh, I can't describe how happy and excited I am.

So, after working in a shitty retail job for 3 years, I finally handed my notice in! Next week, I start my new job as a trainee dental nurse :D

It's been a really rough few months employment-wise...I never meant to stay in retail for so long, but after I finished college I really needed the money, and I was already working part-time, so it just...kind of happened. Then I got made redundant and had to be transferred to another store, which was okay at first, but then I got a really shitty manager who cut my hours and stopped me from doing any overtime :c I know several co-workers got together to report her to the union because due to other personal issues, so hopefully something will come of that...

But yeah! After 6 interviews, countless applications and days of wishing for a new job where I'm happy, I finally found something ^^ I had an interview with the dental practice last week, then on tuesday they called to offer me a job! I nearly started crying over the phone because I was so overwhelmed xD Then I handed my week's notice into my current job, which was possibly the most satisfying thing I've ever done :v

So that's why I've been so inactive lately, because there's been lots to do before I leave my current job and start my new one, along with the usual christmas stress. I really wanna find time to draw, but honestly idk if that'll happen for at least another week or so ._. Also my boyfriend is here staying with me while he looks for employment, so the next step for us is to find jobs we both enjoy so we can finally get a place of our own :D apartment-hunting is stressful, jeez...
