I think I made a huge mistake and need to apologies...
Posted a week agoTwo months ago, during the week Charlie Kirk died, I took notice of a recent art post from 0r0ch1 that depicted Whisper the Wolf firing a sniper rifle. At the time, I was very emotionally effected by Kirk's death, and when I saw one commenter on his work stating that what he posted was uncalled for, I immediately believed the pic was intentionally made to mock Kirk's death, and I took action posting the journal calling him out. At the time, other people were calling out the left for celebrating Kirk's death, so I thought I was doing the right thing as well.
However just this week, I decided to look back on the journal on FurAffinity, and I just found a comment posted on the journal from around that time that completely changes everything, and has me realizing now that I might have just made a huge mistake, and that maybe he wasn't guilty of mocking Kirk at all:
The commenter stated that he personally spoke with him and said that the art piece was totally unrelated to Charlie Kirk's assassination, and that the fanart was just posted at the wrong place, wrong time. I decided to contact the commenter and asked him if this was really true, and he replied yes, and stated that the real context of the fanart was to showcase Whisper's snipping ability from the comics, according to lore. I know I should have asked for proof of his innocence, but I don't think it should be necessary, especially now that it has been two months, and I've only now discovered this for myself.
So I now feel completely ashamed and mortified over what I did. I mistook the context of an artist's artwork for mockery, and made accusations that might not even been true at all to begin with. I said what I said without taking in all the facts, and now I think it's costs me big time.
Just recently, I discovered I was booted from AuntyMoira's Discord group a short time ago, and I don't know why, but I have a feeling it might have to do with what has happened here. If this relates to it, then I deserve it. If not, it doesn't matter. I jumped to conclusions and made accusations without thinking it through, and I feel getting banned from her server is something I deserve as punishment for my actions.
With all that is said and done, I take full accountability. I should have never post the journals and kept quiet, but I didn't, and now I must reap what I sow. I have to take responsibility for what happened and live with it, moving forward. I don't deserve to be forgiven for any of it.
Just know that I'm taking this to heart, and I'm currently trying to learn from my mistake and reflect on this mess.
For the record, 0r0ch1, I'm so sorry. You don't have to accept my apology. Just know that I owe you big for my misjudgment and misconduct, if this turns out to be true.
For those reading this, you don't have to forgive me. Just know I'm sorry for what I did, and that I'm going to try not to make anymore accusations in the future, moving forward.

Thinking Lately...
Posted 4 weeks agoAbout coming back into the art fold, and drawing again. I've been having a few ideas for some new drawings of Team Sakara, including new outfits/bios updates, and even some NSFW pics, but I also wanted to look into Team Sakara having less of a Star Trek identity and be like more of a Space Agency Branch of GUN in the far Future kind of look, with some Star Trek elements. Maybe Alternate Reality? I'm not sure, because Star Trek has always been a part of my identity since even before I joined DeviantArt, or started drawing for that matter, even since I was a toddler.
I grew up in the 80's when Star Trek: The Next Generation first aired in syndication on Fox and my Dad started recording the show for me. I grew up loving all things Star Trek for a long time, had a handful of the TNG toys from Playmates, and even a few from Galoob. So yeah, Star Trek has always been a part of me, sowed into my DNA, and I always like expressing that love thru my OC artwork of Team Sakara. Originally, it all started with Rico being a 29th century Human Starfleet Officer and Digimon Tamer, due to my love for Digimon at the time, with a chibi-style Macross II Valkyrie as my robot-type Digimon. He was also his own Power Ranger with his own Ranger Armor, so that he could join his Digimon in battle.
In 2005, Crystal-for-Ever on FurAffinity (we are acquaintances on DA at the time) suggested that I recreate Rico as a mobian Fox, when I was thinking of redesigning him as a Sonic OC, and I took her suggestion and just decided on a Tails recolor with bangs and a simple Starfleet uniform to save time, under the idea that he could be a direct descendant of Tails Prowler in a Star Trek multi-crossover universe. Since Sonic Heroes was still big in the fanart community at the time, I decided to make Rule 63 Rico as Rico's sister Rika, and then created Kitana Cobra as a original Sonic OC design (at the time, there was no snake-mobian that I knew of). Thus, I had my own OC Sonic Heroes team, named after Rico's sir-name, "Sakara."
Not counting my MLP OC Stella, I've only drawn and posted about over 50+ pics of Team Sakara in the 15 years after their conception (yes, I'm that slow of an artist), up until I've quit drawing in 2020. And my OCs, especially Kitana Cobra, made only a tiny enough impact on the Sonic OC community at the time to get noticed. I even still have a folder of all the fanart I ever received of Team Sakara - about 361 pieces of fanart. I know that amount is microscopic compared to other Sonic OC artists that I watch and know of that get thousands of fanart, but that tiny little bit still means a lot to me, even today.
Now, I had received some criticisms of Team Sakara years ago, mostly just on Rico and Rika being Tails recolors, and suggest that they be redesigned to be more OC. I think one suggested that if they are Tails' descendants, then what about centuries of mix-breeding with other mobians? Add more mix-breed elements? Maybe even develop a bioluminescence to make them pop? And maybe tune down the Star Trek theme a bit? Even though I didn't follow up with it, I still remember those suggestions, and once in a while, they do pose an idea, but because their current design was so well know for a time, I was afraid to change them, worried it would backfired.
But anyways, enough ranting. What do you think? If I decide to come back, should I redesign Team Sakara? Or just keep them the same?

For the last couple of days, I've been effected by the death of Charlie Kirk. It shocked me when I found out Wednesday night of his passing, and that night, I cried and tried to send in a prayer for him as well as for his wife and children, who are now fatherless and will grow up without him in their lives.
The next day, as I watched videos on Youtube about what had happened, I saw some of the most disgusting things:
People on the far left, celebrating his death, thru Twitter/X and Tik-Tok.
What the actual fuck?
Why? Even if you didn't like him and even down right hated him, why celebrate his death? Why?
I don't care what he was in the world of politics. I don't care if those on either side saw him as a fascist, bigot, or just a mean person with hateful words that hurt. He was a loving father and husband, first.
A LOVING FATHER & HUSBAND, FIRST.
But what was worse than celebrating his death thru social media, was that someone celebrated his passing thru their artwork:
Just yesterday on FurAffinity, I saw one of the artists I watch post a pic of a certain Sonic character with a sniper weapon in a lay-down sniper pose, smoke coming from barrel. I immediately knew right away what the context was. I commented they were sick, and then I immediately block them. I just checked back on their page today, and the art piece in question was deleted.
This was an artist I watched for years, and they had the audacity to make a Sonic art piece that in context shows a character with a sniper weapon in snipping pose, having took the shot, taking out their target, and knowing what that art piece represents, and then delete it to cover their tracks.
No. Just. NO.
Even thru art, celebrating an innocent person's death is sick. It's sin. And it's just plain wrong.
Now, if this artist's drawing wasn't meant to represent unaliving someone IRL, and was just posted at the wrong time being a misunderstanding, they should've explained that immediately. But because they deleted the piece and didn't say anything, this tells me otherwise. Now, I still love this person's art and art style, and I pray that he repents and apologies and seeks redemption for this act. But until then, I cannot and will not watch them anymore.
Finally, I want to say this:
I don't care what side you are, politically. All are welcomed here on my DeviantART, FurAffinity, InkBunny, and Discord, as along as you are civilized and mature. But if you go as far as celebrate the death of a person who was just exercising his right to free speech and open dialog, and I find out about it, I want nothing to do with you.
Enough said.

Posted a year agoYeah, today was my 42nd Birthday. Nothing special happened today. Just went out to eat at a local Mexican restaurant up the street by my lonesome and that's it. Had a free fried ice cream on the house. Dad called me, said he was sick in bed from eating too much candy I think, and I can only hope he either recovers or decides to go to the hospital to have the doctors check him out. On the good side, he doesn't need to use a cane to walk around much anymore at the moment, so yeah, here's hoping that his sickness goes away and he makes a full recovery.
Right now, just relaxing at home and watching AsmonGold on YouTube. Nothing else new.
Might as well address the Elephant in the room, and answer, "Why did I stop drawing? Where have I been for the last 4 years?"
Well, to keep things short, I quit drawing at the time back in August of 2020 because I got burnt out. Despite being a slow poke that I was, I was sick and tired of just doing commission after commission. More I did that, the more and more drawing became less fun as a hobby, and more like a chore I had to do. I hated it. It felt like the fun was sucked out of drawing in general. So, after that sexy boxing drawing of Blaze and Wave, I said "enough was enough," and quit right there on the spot. I just couldn't take it anymore. At first, I thought maybe I be burnt out for just a little while, like a month or two, but those months turned in years, and, yeah, I pretty much stopped posting altogether, and I'm sorry I quit all of a sudden back then.
Part of me wants to return to drawing, but if I ever do, I plan to just draw for myself. So don't except me to be doing commissions again anytime soon. YCH (Your Character Here) auction pics, only if I ever feel up to it, that way I at least am in charge of what poses I wanna use. But as I said, that's only if I even back in the mood of making money while drawing. As said, if I ever do come back, it'll be just to draw what I want to draw for myself. To make drawing fun again.
I'm glad to here Waccoon on FurAffinity is back in the game, and it's good to see his art again. I highly recommend seeing his art.
Anyways, I figured I post something here to let people know, 1.) I'm, not dead, just incommunicado, and 2.) I "might" come back into drawing, but not yet. And am only going to draw for myself if I ever do until I feel comfortable with YCHs and/or commissions again.
Well, here's to another Happy Birthday to me, and hoping my Dad can recover from his illness.
I want to see him and his wife Ana again soon. I love em.

All Done Moving into New Apartment!

Now all that is left is getting a new IKEA desk for my gaming PC. The one I'm eyeing for is the MALM desk with pull-out panel, which would make an excellent corner L-desk:

All that's left for my setup now is get a new IKEA MALM desk, with ALEX drawers and Add-on as a monitor stand, and I'll be good-2-go! Not only that, but I might also saving a few hundred to get some Nano-leaf panels for display, as well as some A-RGB light-strips for the back of the desk and TV. However, this will have to wait until much later.
Just keep in-mind though, that this is not my end-all dream PC. This new PC is just ver. 1.0 until I save money for upgrades, Including a 2070 or 2080 IT GPU, fully modular power supply, and a better motherboard. I also plan to build a 2nd gaming PC for my flat-screen TV, but that is years down the line, so until then, my old 2013 Cyberpower PC will be connected to my TV until I start saving money and buying parts. All this will be setup when I move downstairs to Apt. 207.
Speaking of which, this month I'm going to be busy packing up my stuff and getting ready to move into 207, so that after I move downstairs, maintenance can start renovating my old apartment into looking like the others.
Basically what happens is this:
After the tenants move out of an old apartment that hasn't been renovated, maintenance will come in and remove the wall separating the kitchen and living room, making it all once big open space with an extended tabling in front of the stove to use as a mini-bar. They will also put in new appliances, and put in new wire-racks in the closets, and finally renovate the bathroom.

Also, my manager gave me a discount for the first year - $100 off the rent. I only need to pay $675 for the first year, instead of the usually $775. Which is great, since it'll give me time until I need to pay full price the following year.
Anyways, I still have BlueWulv's and Vakash's commissions to sketch out, plus I have a new YCH auction sketch in the works. I'll try to have the sketches for all three done after I finish moving. Again, I am NOT taking anymore commissions for the time being. Thank you.

I also plan to build a 2nd gaming PC for my flat-screen TV, but that is years down the line, so until then, my old 2013 Cyberpower PC will be connected to my TV until I start saving money and buying parts. All this will be setup when I move downstairs to Apt. 207.
Speaking of which, this month I'm going to be busy packing up my stuff and getting ready to move into 207, so that after I move downstairs, maintenance can start renovating my old apartment into looking like the others.
Basically what happens is this:
After the tenants move out of an old apartment that hasn't been renovated, maintenance will come in and remove the wall separating the kitchen and living room, making it all once big open space with an extended tabling in front of the stove to use as a mini-bar. They will also put in new appliances, and put in new wire-racks in the closets, and finally renovate the bathroom.

Also, my manager gave me a discount for the first year - $100 off the rent. I only need to pay $675 for the first year, instead of the usually $775. Which is great, since it'll give me time until I need to pay full price the following year.
Anyways, I still have BlueWulv's and Vakash's commissions to sketch out, plus I have a new YCH auction sketch in the works. I'll try to have the sketches for all three done after I finish moving. Again, I am NOT taking anymore commissions for the time being. Thank you.

I want to take the time to explain why it is I've decided on closing commissions, and just focusing on finishing up the last three commissions on the list.
1.) WANTING TO DO NEW PROJECTS
First reason is simple. Besides some YCHs once in a while, I hardly ever do anything else but commission work, leaving myself no room to work on my own projects. Even though commissions may take a while to finish, I never give myself the free time to work on any of my own drawings or ideas. And as of now, I have some old drawing projects (some from WAY BACK IN 2012) that I want to complete and finish. Not only that, there are some ideas I want to try with my Team Sakara OCs, including upgrading their uniforms and bios again. But I haven't decided when to start on that. Maybe by the fall?
2.) DELAYS AFTER DELAYS
Second, taking WAY too long to finish a commission. First off, understand that I'm WAY TOO SLOW when I draw: Usually if I focus on a drawing, from sketch to finish, it may take a day or two, depending on the details. Maybe a week if its a BIG project. With that in mind, I've been purposely delaying and delaying, either due to real life stuff, like working, or having sleep problems as I mostly prefer to work on my drawings during a specific time of day, or worse - just plain laziness. And that in my mind makes me feel like I'm making excuses and letting them down, and I don't want that for those that are still waiting on commission work from me.
3.) WANT TO FOCUS ON OTHER THINGS
As of today, I finally have all the parts and peripherals for my new gaming PC, and I want to start putting it all together. Not only to play Star Trek Online (obviously), but also play other PC games, like Subnautica, Minecraft, and others on Steam that I've been wanting to try out for years now. Also, I just got word of a renovated apartment in my building being available in late September, and I plan on moving downstairs a floor to it, so September, I'm going to busy within a month, and might not have the time to work on any drawings until I transfer everything to the new apartment below me.
So that's pretty much the whole thing on why. I hope everyone understands. If you want to commission me, you'll just have to wait until I decide to reopen commissions again in the future.

DA - ECLIPSE
Posted 5 years agoI'm going to be blunt here. While parts of the new ECLIPSE format on DA seem ok, I still think this a BIG mistake.
First off, the Journals - while they do seem to still enable CSS coding, the journals now have the titles separated from the skins, and the footers have been removed completely. Even my commission progress bars don't show up anymore, which sucks. Also, the journals are no longer on the main user homepage, but are in their own page under "Posts." Why would they do that?!
Second, the home page itself - while I do love that they enable a 1600x800 header banner for your page, what about the widgets? No CSS coding for them it seems.
One of the only reasons I pay for a yearly Core membership is to use CSS coding in both my journals and widgets! If Eclipse is going to remove those from the user's main homepage, then what's the point of Core memberships outside of removing commercial banners?
Like many, I don't like what DA staff is doing with this format, and even though there's nothing we can do about it outside of leaving DA, I still think they need to go back to the drawing board and at least find a way to let us keep the CSS customization intact. Unlike most, I would love to use Eclipse Dark Mode if and only IF they still keep full CSS coding on both widgets and Journals. Now it looks like they're not going to, at least not 100% - just on certain parts of the journals for the time being.
I really hope that one day after Eclipse goes live that they allow us full CSS coding enable again. It really helped with the layout of my front page. I really, REALLY wish they would not retire the old version of DA, and at least let us keep the "switch" button on to switch back to the old format, like FurAffinity does.
While I might among the few willing to stay on DA after the format switch, it's going to take me time to reformat my Journal's skin to match Eclipse's format and somehow still keep the Sci-Fi look that I like.
So for now, we'll just have to wait and see what happens, and maybe someday, they'll allows us full use of CSS coding again...

Anyways, I decided to cancel my buy on the PC Case I wanted to get from Amazon, simply to save money for the moment (and the fact that it was on hold ass a non-essential product anyways), in case I need it for something else. I'll re-buy the case I want at a later time, maybe in May. I also still need to buy a ASRock B450 Steel Legend Motherboard, as well as a good GeForce Graphics Cards and a full-modular power supply. So I'm about half-way through buying the parts for my gaming PC, at lease the PC itself. I also plan to pimping my set-up with a new monitor, LED keyboard, LED mouse, LED mouse-pad, and desk w/drawers for storage. So I still have a while to go. At least I have a new 600W semi-power supply for my older PC here, just in case.
Finally, had to cancel AlexMoon's commission at his request due to having financial troubles. No problem, as I can save his info until he decides to come back.

Final 5 Commissions/Waiting Out Corona
Posted 5 years agoI've updated my commission list with the final 5 customers that I'm taking commissions from. After I'm done with these five, I'll be taking a break from commissions to work on my own projects, including some past drawings I've been meaning to complete - some of which are from way back in 2012! I'll still be doing YCHs though, but they'll be just a few. Once I have an idea for some poses, I post them on ych.commishes, and notify everyone on FurAffinity and InkBunny.
Anyways, went out today and got me some plastic gloves, lysol refills, and some extra milk and soda for the long wait until both my Social Security Income and Paycheck come in on the 3rd of April. Still have to go out to get some extra toilet paper, but that'll have to wait, since I still have my cheat paper-ones from the food bank to go off of.
Even though I do worry about getting infected by the coronavirus, I'm more worried about my Dad getting infect more than me, since he's in his 60's. Luckily, he's working from home, and taking all the precautions he and his wife need to stay healthy, so my heart and prayers go out to them.
I'm also more worried about still working at Pizzahut, since some restaurants around me, like the local family diner and Chinese Restaurant down the street from me, have closed their doors until the crisis has passed. Luckily, we're still open with just the carryout and delivery, while the dinning room is closed until further notice. Still, I hope we stay open regardless.

Building My 1st New Gaming PC! 8D

Turns out last month (last week in fact), I received the money from my Federal Tax Return, which was around $293! 8D
So I decide then and there to finally start building a new Gaming PC!
So I got started and bought the PC Case I wanted, along with some Accessible-RGB Fans, and the power supply. And just today, bought the CPC + fan, RAM, and SSD drive. All that's left now is buy the Graphics Card, Motherboard, and secondary HDD drive, which I'll buy at a later date. I got the use the last of my money to pay rent and bills anyhow.
Anyways, for my new build, I'm going to try and go with a build that has Accessible-RGB lighting for the fans and RAM sticks, and the follow components are what I decided on for my build:

My only concern atm is the fans and case: The cable-manage side of the case has this ARGB HUB for the fans, and the back fan that came with the case is a 5V 3-pin for the LEDs, and 3-pin for the fan itself. The Cooler Master ARGB 3-pack is laso 5V 3-pin for the LEDs, but is 4-pin for the fans' power. My question is can I still use these Cooler Master fans on this case if the 5V pins are connected to the just hub, while the 4-pins are connected to the power supply?

Posted 6 years agoJust want to wish everyone a Happy New Year, and let everyone know that I'll be back to work on drawings as soon as I upgrade my PC to Windows 10. I've been saving my files and making back-ups, in case anything goes wrong with the free upgrade. I'm also going to look into getting a Labtop as a back-up just in case anything happens to my PC.
Anyways, here's to the end of a decade, and the birth of the next one, and hoping this new decade will be better than the last. So once again, Happy New Year to everyone, and here's to a happy and prosperous 2020!

...I'm still neutral on the new look overall. I "kinda" like it, but I don't mind it. It still works IMO.
And at the 2:45 mark, you can tell Jim Carrey becomes true Eggman-style Robotnik without knowing if he becomes fat or not. So That works for me too.
Overall, not surprised by the new designs for the characters, nor the reaction to the trailer so far.
Some trailers get more dislikes than others, etc.

I'm STILL NOT dead, but things here are slow as I'm currently taking care of HellSender's & XxPurpleHedgieXx's commissions and getting ready to sketch up the YCH winner's commission piece. So still working on those. I know I've been slow at these lately, but it couldn't be helped since I was busy IRL with getting taxes out of the way and taking care of other real life stuff that's priority.
Anyways, I just got done doing a hard 7-hours out of a 4-hour shift on Friday (+ 4 hours Saturday as usual) at work since we were under staff and had pizza and wing-street orders up-the-ass for like 2 hours straight, that once I was able to return to doing dishes, I was backed-up as hell, so I ended up staying until 11:30pm to finished the majority til I could clock out. Posted 7 years agoI am sorry if it seemed that I have been inactive lately over the last month. I AM working on both commissions and the YCHs, slowly getting them done. However, once again I've been having sleep problems, going to bed at odd hours, wasting the day away. I also have been busy with work IRL and getting use to paying my own bills. So things have been chaotic lately, but I have been getting stuff done none-the-less.
I want to thank everyone, both on my commission list and those waiting for their YCH winnings, for their long hard patients, and I will have everything done as soon as possible. I already have one YCH finished and ready for posting, and I'm half-way done on another. Plus, I'm sketching out a new YCH auction that will be posted soon.
Commission wise, I'm going to be doing the lineart on Hellsender's this week. Afterwards, I'll be working on newer commission that's listed below.

Posted 7 years agoJust wanted to post this wishing everyone a Happy New Year.
As for yours truly, I spent the New Year's night enjoying free food and a burger + drink at my local bar down the street near where I live, near the lake, and came home right on time to bring the new year, and enjoy a bottle of Mantinellis' Gold metal Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Cider. The night was also pretty damn warm and windy. It was 44 degrees, but felt warmer, like 50! And it rained hard for a short while before I made it back to the apartments as I was walking home. Hell, it was so windy tonight, that we had a power-flicker when I was asleep, so I've just woke up to reboot my PC and clocks.
Anyways, other than the holidays now over, I still got those 3 commissions for Hellsender, PurpleHedgie, and BurningMario to work on, plus the Christmas YCH that I have to color. Not only that, but last month, my Dad finally transferred my Social Security Income to me so he can start teaching me how to pay my own bills.
So overall, I'll be busy this month.
Anyways, once again, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

First snowday in December
Posted 7 years agoGot up this morning, saw it snowing, so I decided to take a picture to post later. But then later on, the sun came out, and I thought it made the day look lovely, so I retook the picture:

Technically, this is our 2nd or 3rd snowfall in Ohio since it started in November, but this is the first snow day for December of this year. I hope to see a sunny snow day like this at Christmas. If not, at least a nice snowfall. After all, nothing beats a white Christmas Eve or Christmas Day! Here's hoping we get one this year.
Anyways, I'm taking a short break from YCHs to focus on a few of the commissions on my list, and I want to see if I can get Hellsender's Star Trek Online/Equestria Girls commission for Celestia and luna done by the start of Star Trek Discovery Season 2, but I can't make any promises. I'm also going to be working on XxPurpleHedgieXx's and BurningMario's commissions. With any luck, I hope to have them done after the start of the new year, but as I said, I can't kept any promises, in case anything comes up IRL.
Anywho, I might, however, do up a Christmas YCH, but I have not decided yet. I might, or might not.

Recovering from a cold...
Posted 7 years agoI apologizes for not updating my gallery and what-not, but I've been sick with a head cold over the weekend since Wednesday, and I had to miss out on both commissions and work at Pizza Hut because of it. Right now, I feel mostly better, so I'm recovering, and hopefully should be able to return to work on my next schedule shift.
On a side note, I finally got myself a new A4 Ultra-thin LED Light Box Tracer Pad for me to trace and copy the pose sketches I draw for YCHs - https://www.ebay.com/itm/A4-Ultra-t.....D/263636542628
With this, copying my auction pose onto a new winning commission sketch will be a lot easier for me.
Other than that, once I'm back to full health, I'll continue work on commissions and YCH auctions. Hopefully I should be able to return to work on them by tomorrow.
