Lets say your browsing Furaffinity and looking at pictures, and you see something come up thats not to your taste. Maybe you just dont care for that fetish, or you think the pic is badly drawn, or both, or its just a little bit off from what you were hoping to see.

Here's what you do: Keep your fuckin mouth shut, don't comment on that art, and go look at something else. I'm not sure why that got so damn hard in the last few years, but time was people knew how to keep their yap shut about art they didn't care for. Nobody wants to hear you heckling from seat 27-B. Mind your own business, and go look at any of the myriad other artworks right here on Furaffinity, or any of the other literally thousands of websites, streaming services, video games, or other entertainment options.

I don't know if I have real ADHD, but all my life I've been getting really into things in short intense bursts, and skip from topic to topic. For a few months I will be totally into drawing. Or music. Or a craft. Or Lego. Or a video game. And then something, some real-world event, a personal family crisis, or just a loss of interest -- will knock me out of that groove and put me on something else. This has been the pattern for 20+ years of my adult life. I am forty-eight now and that's not likely to change. So I have to live with this pattern and understand it.

The benefit of this skipping-stone approach is that I learn about a lot of topics and acquire a broad range of skills. Over time I've become damn near expert on a lot of things.

The problem with this pattern is that I'll get really into some hobby, acquire a bunch of equipment that I use a lot and then it languishes untouched for months or years - but if I sell it off or get rid of it then I will just end up buying it again next time that particular comet arrives from its long orbit. Or worse yet, I'll commence some big visible project intended to monetize or otherwise gain internet success that will run out of gas partway through and i'll drop it, and have to start over from scratch in a year or two. If there's one thing I've learned about internet artists and craftspeople is that you gain fame for one thing and thats the only thing you can do forever. If you want to do something else you need to start over from zero, as very few people will come along.

As for my artwork, I just looked through my old gallery and I can see, by the dates of the posts, when I was really gung-ho about artwork and when it languished for months, sometimes years between posts. I accept this about myself and ask only your patience. Right now I am drawing up a storm, but I also know it won't last, so all I can do is enjoy it while it lasts. And isn't that life's big lesson anyways?

So I posted, as a test, my recent ABDL themed pic 'big squirts' to Furrylife. it was tagged and marked NSFW appropriately. I got a warning on it and they told me that 'baby fur content is not allowed on furrylife'. Alright then, see ya.

good luck to them, but uhhhhhhhhhh.. its not for me, that's for sure.

Update: I got some specific reasoning for why they issued a warning on the pic: apparently the hand holding the buzzy wand was too big in relation to the character which makes it "cub". The fact that its obviously an adult character, just a small one, a rodent, with an adult head-to-body ratio and big muscular arms was not sufficient. Ultimately whatever. if I can't draw the stuff I want with the flexibility i need then its not gonna work out

Okay, so I've set up an account on FLO, under the name Cargowoozle, but after a few hours of messing around on the website i find it difficult to navigate and with unclear priorities about what gets posted where. There doesn't seem to be a personal gallery, or any kind of watchlist, and unimportant information like "Favorite songs" is given incredibly high emphasis on the profile pages. It is not the work of a skilled interface designer, displaying evidence of massive feature creep and the limitations of whatever CMS framework they used to build it (it looks like Drupal, which is ass). That plus their priorities of deciding which kinds of art to censor makes me think it's not going to last very long. also the name "furry life online" makes me think of a pet food pyramid-marketing scheme from the 1990s

I will TEACH YOU to draw. For free. You will need a Discord account as the class takes place on Discord.

The supplies you will need are: a pencil, some blank paper, and a way to take a picture of the paper like a phone camera or a scanner.

I especially want people who think they can't draw, who have tried to learn and failed, or are struggling with drawing. No experience is necessary we are starting from SCRATCH.

The classes begin August 17 2020 at 2pm Eastern and will run for five days. Each lesson is short and you can just read scroll back on the channel if you miss a day. It works on your schedule.

Cargo, the character, is an adult weasel. He gets shrunk a lot, regressed sometimes, and put in diapers a lot, because those are fetishes that I have. But he also has vanilla sex and he's over 18 in any situation where arousal/orgasms/sex is involved, no matter how cubbily he might be dressed.

i won't ever make you draw cargo in diapers or as a cub unless its something you already draw a lot.

So please don't freak out at me if I bid on your YCH and tell me you won't draw "cub". Cargo's not a cub. You don't have to draw him in diapers if the YCH sketch doesn't have it already. I won't make you draw porn of an underage character or do anything you don't like. Just.. relax. I'm not a fuckin monster and I'm not ever going to require something an artist isn't comfortable with drawing. I spend a lot of time deciding who to commission and working with artists to find topics they're good with. I have slight anxiety about making artists draw stuff they don't like, and I always always play to their strengths.

So maybe like ask me before assuming the worst and jumping to conclusions, ok?

So you probaby noticed that I'm back on the drawing wagon.

one, I have a new iPad Pro and pencil stylus, which is a great budget alternative to the Cintiq I wanted for years. i love it so far, it's the art tool i always dreamed of.

More importantly, I decided to focus on what I really wanted to draw - and as you can see, that's primarily macro-micro themed babyfur art. I have to go with what I wanna draw, and while this particular thing is in my brain that's mostly what it's gonna be. there's a number of psychological reasons for this that I don't need to go into, but if you like macro-babs and shrinky stuff you're gonna see more of it.

I am not opening for trades, commissions or requests at this time, but I am of course always open to suggestions. I may or may not use them , or i might twist them to my own evil ends.

As you may or may not know, I live in NYC and almost a week ago the east coast was hit by Hurricane Sandy. Widespread power outages, destruction and flooding ensued.

Our apartment on Roosevelt Island escaped unscathed, although I watched flood waters rise around the riverside jogging paths next to our building. Shit was crazy Monday night. The subways have been out of commission ever since and it's by sheer luck that we kept power and plumbing intact. Axiom and I were EXTREMELY LUCKY. Lower manhattan, Brooklyn, and most of all Staten Island were not so lucky, and many many people have been living without power, food, water, heat, and in some cases their entire home is gone. It is heartbreaking to see. Power just came back on and things are slowly getting back to normal but in some cases it is going to be weeks, or months before things are truly fixed. Some people lost everything.

Couple of things: If you can spare $10, please donate to Sandy relief, the easiest way is to text ICARE to 85944 (more here: http://newyorkcares.org/donate_now/text_giving.php ) that sends $10 to New York Cares, probably the best way to help. You can also donate to the Red Cross, but tbh they have a ton of money already and efficiency problems. If you live in the affected area, consider volunteering, there's a number of initiatives springing up. The Occupy people have one of the largest and most effective ad hoc networks that is doing amazing things right now, helping hurricane victims in Staten Island before FEMA and the larger orgs can even get there.

Also, whether or not you can help Sandy victims, be sure to be prepared for emergencies in your area - have a supply of food, batteries, etc. on hand for a week or so of losing power and water. It is not a matter of if but when. A lot of New Yorkers who rolled their eyes at the "hype" of the "superstorm" last week sure aren't laughing now. Emergency preparedness is not a joke. Be safe everyone.
