..but I have a rather closely guarded secret. Those close to me know how secretive and dodgy I tend to be about personal matters.

And this one is certainly dear to my heart. Most specifically, my soul.

You see, I have had a sort of misanthropic feeling for quite some time now. It's manifested in my roleplaying since the beginning of it, has been expressed in many other facets of my life and my artistic creations, and only recently have I really come to a conclusion on it.

I feel that I am not human.

So I went to FC!

It was my first convention, and I went along with  komah and  faytt and later on met  gausswolf for extra fun since he was in the area. The Hilton was our hotel, and it was alright (though our room had some...interesting...oddities, like lights not working much!) but the real great part was the area itself. San Jose is awesome! So many things to wander off to in the streets, and a looot of restaurants. Though..I will say, best one out there is a place called The Pita Pit - totally delicious pitas with all sorts of combinations of meats, along with a Subway-style stuffing of the pitas. Tooootally the favorite place of ours. <3

The con itself was smaller than I expected..but the dealer's den was decently lively. Picked up a shirt, a necklace, bookmark, and plenty of business cards. Gonna be shopping around for commissions soon enough, and those are a great thing to start. ^.-.^ Met  darkvyce and his little group, and he is every bit as adorable in person as he is online. Glad that I could lead him over to Komah, that was quite a spectacular hug.
Also met  dook ! He's a really wonderful dude, good friends with Faytt. Did a quick favor for him for a costume, and went out to dinner with the four of us and him.

Got a massage from a random suiter too, didn't see the name well enough sadly.. ;~;

Anyway, I think it's sleeptime for me now. Goodnight to all of you, and tomorrow I'll try to actually kick together some music.

After seeing what ArcheKruz does on a regular basis (i.e. submit at least something every day for art practice) I've decided to try my hand at doing the same, except with music and 5 days a week as opposed to every day. I'm going to try to do this from now through the 31st of December, and in the spirit of the program AK did, I'm going to call it LulzPlays or LP for short on the submissions. We'll see how things turn out!

Edit: Had a very, very long week this week, so unfortunately I'll have to officially kick this off on Sunday.

Double Edit: This doesn't seem to be working out so well given my work schedule and propensity to become ill. x.-.x I suppose I'll have to postpone this experiment to a different month that's -not- December..

Alright, today's the cleaning day before my move out to California. I'll be scarce for the next week or so! Hope all of you do well while I'm gone.

So I've acquired a rather nice USB recording microphone off of the 'net recently: the Blue Snowball microphone. It's got pretty damn nice quality, doesn't require a sound card or any sort of frontal ASIO jacks for anything, and it's only 99 bucks. Of course, thanks to a little help from Komah, I got mine for 94 with a 3 year warranty...buuut that was luck of the draw, I think. X3 Anyhow, I can upload things once again without using a Rock Band mic! There's the mic test in my submissions now, and more soon to follow.

Got hit on the passenger side of my car today. :D

Anyway, I'm alright, just going through the endless legislative and bureaucracy involved with insurance companies and the like. All -I- really want to do is just go cook something nice with the groceries I salvaged from my car. =(

It's quite strange really, but whenever I try to record any audio into Audacity from any input, I get a very strange periodic popping noise. :< I can't really record anything right now, despite having five very new, very good ideas. Anyone else have issues with their audio card, specifically the Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty series?

Addendum: It's my birthday! :D

Second Addendum: It seems like it -is- the card itself. Time to redo drivers!

Just got fully finished with a reformat; had a .dll file that was stuck in limbo between existing on my hard drive and -not- existing inside the Windows shell. It was virtually impossible to get rid of, and regedit/a few other system programs were locked out.

So, that's over and done with. -Almost- lost my music files as a result, but I managed to save them after several restarts and lockups. Thank gods for an external.

Alrighty, back home from Santa Rosa California, and meeting Komahin ^.-.^ He's an AMAZING cook, but I somehow lost weight while there.. I dunno either. It baffles me. >.> But anyway, I'll try to start up a few more submissions soon!

I'm over in California right now visiting my lovely mate, Komah, so I'll be out of luck for recordings for a good solid two-and-a-bit weeks.
