General | Posted 7 months agoFound out that His Holiness Pope Francis had passed away earlier this morning.
Eternal rest grant unto Francis, O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon him. And may his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

k.whirlwind is holding a raffle. Here's the link: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/60460243/About Sandalpunk Rock
General | Posted 8 months agoSo, as many of you have probably guessed from the fact that yesterday's post was made on April Fools' Day, "sandalpunk rock" is, as far as I am aware, a completely fictional music subgenre invented in my head. The entire backstory I came up with for it is that sandalpunk rock was invented here in the States back in roughly 2005, is a blend of punk-rock and Antiquity music (think Ancient Greece, Rome, and Egypt), and has lyrics (mostly in English but sometimes in Classical Latin, Attic Greek, and/or Coptic) about many of the legends, myths, histories, and cultures of the time period. The name itself is based on a real retrofuturistic science-fiction genre that actually is named "sandalpunk" and set in a futuristic version of Antiquity.
And now I pass the proverbial torch to any musician/producer eager enough to try to make their own spin on "sandalpunk rock". I genuinely am rather curious to see as to which direction(s) this musical subgenre goes.

How Long?
General | Posted 10 months agoSomehow, I keep forgetting that January 2025 marks the fifth anniversary of me being in the furry fandom. That's half-a-decade! To everyone who's supported me on this journey, you all deserve a big "thank you". Special thanks goes out to the
Christian-Furs. Here's to the next five years. God bless you all.
P.S. I still have one more piece of music before January is out; so, please, stay tuned.

Mell0rd is hosting a Christmas raffle if anyone is interested. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/59126982/Christmastide Is (Almost) Here
General | Posted a year agoAs I write this, it's Thanksgiving Day here in the United States. However, I am pleased as punch to reveal that my latest batch of Christmas arrangements has already been finished and is ready to be released in due time. I'll be going back to a more traditional sound for most of them; however, the fifth one will be an extra-special treat from yours truly to celebrate my fifth year in the furry fandom.

General | Posted a year agoWelp, glad to see that FurAffinity is back online now. Hopefully, the administration and authorities are able to find the alleged hijacker and bring them to justice. On that note, don't hound anyone with allegations, please; just let the administration and authorities do their jobs. The last thing they want is to nab the wrong person due to some careless talk.

KaisarReitz is presently hosting a raffle if anyone's interested: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/55329632/My Condolences
General | Posted 2 years agoI'm assuming that most folks (at least here in the States) have already heard about the terrible incident that happened in Downtown Kansas City over St. Valentine's Day/Ash Wednesday. As someone who was born in Kansas, I am absolutely heartbroken that such a tragedy would strike my hometown; therefore, I would like to extend my condolences to the family and friends of the poor disc jockey as well as my sympathies to the family and friends of the thirty-plus injured. Hopefully, the culprits will be brought to justice if they haven't already.
Admittedly, I personally had a bit of an anxiety attack due to my older brother living relatively close to the crime scene (I'm trying to be rather vague so I don't give out too much personal information); but, fortunately, he came out physically unharmed albeit a bit emotional rattled. If you're reading this, Gionata, I love you and I'm glad you're okay.
To my fellow Kansans, I humbly ask that you remember the wise words of Rodgers & Hammerstein, "You'll never walk alone" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhmPV8yYBEo). Dio ti benedica sempre.

(Almost) a Month Until Christmas
General | Posted 2 years agoI hope everyone had a marvellous Thanksgiving yesterday and is trying their best to endure the Black Friday crowds today. With that out of the way, I have yet another round of Christmas arrangements for this year. As per usual, I will be releasing one song every fifth day of December. This year, the theme I had in mind is "Christmas in the Age of the Internet"; in other words, each arrangement is in the vein of different Internet aesthetic. It was really fun to try to interpret these fairly distinct categories in a musical fashion; however, I'll let you all be the judges on how accurately I was in this endeavour. So, join me 5 December for a delightfully dark but cosy surprise to start off the Christmas season.
October is Back!
General | Posted 2 years agoWell, it's October once again, which means it's Italian-American Heritage and Culture Month once again. So, the surprise I mentioned earlier is that, every Saturday this month, I will be releasing each movement of a mandolin orchestra piece I recently wrote. Alongside that, I will try to release the usual stuff for Columbus Day and Halloween; so, please stay tuned.

General | Posted 2 years agoHey, hope everyone enjoyed my modest rendition of the UK National Anthem yesterday. Outside of that, the only other event that I have plans for this month is, of course, my older brother's twenty-sixth birthday (26 May).
In other news, for those of you who are on Telegram, don't forget to say hello to Dolby 2.1 as he takes over my account from tomorrow to Friday. I'm pretty sure he'll provide a bit of a nostalgia trip for the '90s kids among you.

April Showers
General | Posted 2 years agoHey, hope everyone enjoyed my little '60s psy rock experiment yesterday. Don't worry, I'm not actually going down the flower child/hippy-dippy path (don't do drugs, kids); I'm still the same squeaky clean classy wolf you all know and (hopefully) love. Anyways, outside of April Fools' Day yesterday, I honestly have nothing else planned for April (perhaps a chorale for Easter next Sunday if I'm feeling up to it); the next thing I actually do have plans for is a very special treat to help my UK viewers celebrate a fellow Charles (yes, my name does translate to Charles) on 6 May.
Time Marchs On!
General | Posted 2 years agoHappy March, everyone! As some of you have noticed, I just released my annual entry into the Express Yourself Contest and achieved three-thousand views on my page last night. Grazie mille a tutti! As per usual, I will be releasing an Irish folk arrangement for St. Patrick's Day on the seventeenth and, if people ask for it, I might upload the prelude to the fugue I posted yesterday since I wasn't too sure if I could fit it into my submission (it would've brought the total time up to approximately forty-eight seconds, still below the one-minute time limit). Dio vi benedica.

General | Posted 3 years agoThis upcoming weekend, AnthroExpo is presenting a 1980s/sparkle-dog theme as their aesthetic for this year's convention. This has inspired me to produce some house beats in the style of the 1980s. Each weekday this week at approximately 12m CST, I will present each of my beats as well as which specific year each is meant to be a tribute to. Hope you all enjoy.
Do They Know It's Christmas?
General | Posted 3 years agoBeings as to how December is upon us, I have yet another batch of Christmas song arrangements for you all as we once again traverse that wonderful winter wonderland. I may be going a bit old-school with some of them; but do bear with me. So come, all thee faithful, and lend thine ear to these upcoming arrangements starting 5 December.
Happy Italian-American Heritage and Culture Month!
General | Posted 3 years agoBuongiorno a tutti. Severe apologies for the lack of activity during September; I realised that my Galop in F Major was released at the worst possible time and I wanted to hold off on releasing anything afterwards due to the situation in the United Kingdom. However, I will rectify my inactivity last month by releasing two songs during the month of October: one on the tenth to help celebrate Columbus Day and one on the thirty-first to help celebrate Halloween. Dio vi benedica.
