so Tropes 3 is done and I should get back to the comic now try and wrap the chapter up but I do have some news I need to talk about.

Basically a few days ago one of my IRL friends had hung themselves and was found by their twin brother, I was at work when the news was broke to me on friday so I wasn't feeling great the entire weekend. So yea going to be taking a week or so off to just process all this.

its fully sketched, scene I am doing had a ongoing thing that resulted in a fair bit of copy paste so it was done faster than I expected haha

I know you voted for Jo/Jolene and I did intend to do that BUT without spoiling the Trope I am doing I am giving the flattened position to a different character

now what about the one eyed possum? oh she's still in the Trope she's just another character and a character that had a design choice all the more fitting for her on design alone XD

was talking to an artist and there was an idea with characters of mine I could use but 1 is in need of a redesign, 1 is in need of being created, 1 is in need of being a partner to the 1910's bat and the other is from the cowboy comic

reason for the delay is if I did use them it wouldn't look to good XD

So I dont know whats going on with my PC but heres what the problem is

PC is completely fine when playing dark souls 1-3

PC is fine with normal use hell can be used all day.

PC powers off like a cut off whenever I play helldivers 2, hitman 3 and sadly yes cause I had to test it “marble world” after half an hour

Now it could be as simple as a Power Supply Issue but a week ago my whole town had a power cut and I didnt really play anything worthwhile since then so I didnt notice the damage for a while.

Because its a gaming PC and still pretty expensive I’m probably going to have to switch to doing just coms to save up money to buy a replacement and I’ll find that out tomorrow when they replace my PSU at work

Idea is they will replace the PSU for free cause they have plenty of powerful ones but if its anything else like GPU or the mother board it would be best I upgraded entirely. So I had to cancel every subscription on patreon “sorry guys that I supported” and im gonna have to start saving up for a new pc

PC is shorting whenever I game at the moment and I tested it with the Marble game and it shorted after half an hour

Sorry guys but its delayed until I get this fixed I hope its just a PSU problem

Heres how its gonna work
1-20 entries gets 5 marbles each (so 100 marbles)
30-50 entries gets 4 marbles each (so 120-200 marbles)
50+ entries it then goes to 3 marbles each (so 150-???)
there will also be marbles like reset race so even if you come in 2nd if reset race wins you get nothing

I don't think it will go over 50 it might just reach 30-ish like last time but I think this time because its the 3rd race this time I think there should be 3 races (so three prizes oh ho)

When will the race start? I dunno its best to have this all set up first and then everyone the date
What marble race will you be doing? probably "Spiffing World (Castle Chaos v2)" as it can run from 15 minutes to 30 minutes depending on how many marbles there are

I will say though he did that race with 960+ Marbles so if my PC can handle it and it looks a bit sparse when testing I'll keep doubling the Marbles until it feels right (that means if we make it to 3 marbles and it doesnt feel right you might actually make it with 12 Marbles oh the joy)

So yea I was hoping for more people to reply and give some suggestions but that didnt go so well only had three comments wasn't a whole lot to go off from I dunno maybe I was expecting to much from FA, What I wanted to do is get some old school suggestions see what people liked and what got them into the whole inflation thing but I guess that was a bit much.

Well I finally started the colour for Flattening Tropes 2 and given how long it took me to outline I think it will take a long time SO I think we should do something fun afterwards

Ok so I do need to return to the comic HOWEVER before that I still need to host the 1500 raffle but that isnt the "fun"

so here's the fun and how you can take part

I want you to do at least one of two things here if your a new person or at this point qualify for a veteran discount (like me) so:
1/ grab a Classic Inflation picture that was from an artist whether they quit or still around or if you are one yourself and by classic I mean like before 2010 type classic "we're getting at the Deviantart type of Classics XD" and just share the link in the comments (if the person deleted it or nuked their online presence and it appears in something like rule34 thats totally fine to share)
and/or
2/ grab the inflation pic that awakened you to the whole community I wanna see what you guys come up with

Idea is I'll pick what I like and try to recreate it (obviously I'll ask the artist if im allowed to draw their character if it contains their character but if its like a cartoon or anime character I won't need to ask for permission XD) so have fun with that

After Drawing the Easter Matilda Pic I thought I'd have time to maybe do an easter thing with her maybe squish her or inflate her but no ideas stuck and I was drawing a blank so much I just couldn't draw anything so I just finished off her up to date ref and posted it as is.

Cause of the time left however and cause of how big it is and that I want to get back to my comic I guess I better get back to Flattening Tropes 2

Btw just using this to keep track but 8/19 panels outlined… damn this is gonna be killer to colour

As for now I am taking a break because its HUUUUUUGE so I'm gonna draw something in the mean time so it doesnt feel as draining, What will I draw I dunno XD

So how did it go?

Well they told me to take my slippers PJ's and Dressing gown, they were gonna scan me, see if I needed to flush them out, go in with a hook if theres blockage, hit me with a laser to break it down, if that didnt work surgery

so what happened? took the stuff they told me to and and got scanned, they told me to go home after the scan WTF why prep me?

So after all that unnecessary shit I was out in 20 minutes

So Flattening Trope 2 whats going on with that?

Well 10 of the 17 panels have been sketched... its a biggie

This one was decided on for a good reason but is also a very long one, Long as in the first one felt long at 9 panels... this ones 17 panels so almost double

So how long is this going to take? well it involves two characters one I can say Saphy/Savannah and another I cannot for good reasons XD but because Saphy/Savannah is involved probably a long time ^^;

The other Problem is that I wont be able to work on it much as I am going in for my kidney stone operation on friday which they want to scan me, laser me, see if that made a difference, if not use a "hook" to fish out the remaining stones and if that doesnt work cut me open and get it out

so if the first one took a week and a half this ones going to take "with the operation thing into account" probably 2 weeks ^^; sorry

So yea I really need to get back to the comic but I didnt wanna keep going “hey im doing flattening tropes” and potentially do nothing for months so there ya go part 1 to tide ya over xD

So still havent wrote anything and yea need to address that “HURRAY I HIT 1500 FOLLOWERS” but im not acknowledging that till atleast 1505 cause its at that “it dips below then goes back” stage and 1505 seems like a safe bet so the Marble Race is coming just need to have a stable count first.

Whats next for Flattening Tropes? Well as you can see its based on stuff that happened in movies/shows and sort of replicates the look (the flattening was thicc and in claymation so easy to follow but not quite) so as you can tell it’s mimic the scene but with my characters (hell I have a cat so I can mimic Tom & Jerry ones sorta… need to talk about a mousie) so yea Trish may get involved even savannah/saphy or even jo hell maybe you like a under used character of mine like my anime arc characters or my squirrel I had ready for the comic or even trish’s mom delilah or even her grandma Jodi who knows it could be anyone.

The other thing I need to decide on is it worth doing for free or should I make a cheap patreon I dunno I need to talk with other artists that made one and see if its worth it or not. So yea for now finish the current comic chapter and back to the flattening tropes

Also I’ve said it many times but I’d like to say it again this is 100% inspired by GreyofPTA’s inflation tropes so if you want a inflation variant go check out theres you wont regret it and their character designs are top notch (I mean who doesn’t know who Grey is he’s an inflation celebrity basically xD) anyways alot to think about ttyl
