Brief 2017 Summation;
-Attended Conventions! (more smart about it this year, only attending the ones that make me a proper amount of income rather than 'as many as I can' which was costing me more than expecting in prior years)
-My long term friend and animal companion, Tabatha passed in August. She was very old and it was not an unexpected occurrence, but she will be missed dearly.. (even typing this brings mist to my eyes a bit)
-Got broken up with (Pretty much have that friendship repaired, back on track and stronger going into 2018 though)
-Still didn't get my bizz' together enough for a project i had hoped to have launched for this year.. :C shall try again for 2019~
-Persistent shoulder pain has ebbed to a point that I haven't felt this good in ages!
-Change in Housemates in the short twilight between 2017 Xmas and NY's day
-JELLYBEANS ARE YUMNUM! ('3333
-Didn't have to move! upon lease being up, we got renewed! ('3 which will hopefully see us out til the house being built for us is ready :>
-Got another years older, attaining LVL 31...! yey?
-Have been invited to WAFF as a Guest of Honour for 2018!! /)*0*(\ SO HONOURED INDEED~!!

-The Xmas Eve gathering we hosted was a blast! (made an [EPIC SANDWICH] for kraden for his present/the catering. Full story along the link)
-Xmas Day dropped my housemate Wilco to the airport first thing in the morning, then spent pretty much the rest of the day with kraden, meltoria and his family eating far more than our bodies have room for. :3 was really sweet actually (pair of super young kids at that which we spent most of our time there playing with.. so cute n intense! X3)
-Boxing Day attended a Parteh @ muttasaur & skooma-addict's place; super chill, super fun! thanks for having us you two! ❤
-NYE was spent @ a gathering down @ arinaca & zxssics's place with edge, ChangesDaSkunk, invypanther, anthrax-fur and many others for a chill night of hang outs :3 that was super nice!


..And lots of other things I'm sure I'm glossing ENTIRELY over~ :B

Harbour City FurCon was a total Blast~!
Thanks to the wonderful team behind that this year!
-Counted the event more as a Vay-cay than strictly a working-holiday, and BOI did it excel at exactly that!

Its been quite a while since I've attended a con just for attending and holidaying's sake and it was... super nice \|3
Got a whole bunch more stuff in the Con-Box than I was anticipating, the guests were all lovely to meet! <3
& Hubby, , , ,

Trading only being on one day was interesting, (and dare I say I think I liked it..? \|S ) Think there was enough time in one day for peeps to pass by and grab stuff if they were keen, and means that Traders get a bit of con-time in also! :D


Highlights of that include;
■ THE BEST KARAOKE I'VE BEEN TO IN MY LIFE~!! (SHOUT the fck OUT the D1 Karaoke Sydney!! <3) SUPERB GUYS! and was so rad singing along with everyone whom came~! X333 <3
■ External 'Pound' Club on the first night! That was super fun, different and interesting!! Hope that is a thing every year! <3 <3
■ Another shout out to Maze Backpackers in Syd also! EXCELLENT little hole-in-the-wall joint for budget-stays in Syd real close to so much stuff! <3 (and Maloneys Hotel on the corner 2 mins from that.. YOUR FOOD IZ cheap and yet SUPER AMAZING!! <3 )
■ THE GORRANG FEMALE BATHROOMS @ THE VIBE ARE PINK..!? XS WhyyyyyomgASSUMINGMYDANGCOLOURPREFERENCES!! lol
■ Frankies Pizza Sydney! (Not having Pizzaa for AGES and them finally bringing along meds to take n have that.... YES. I GREAT WELCOME BACK TO the MAJESTY that is Pizza once again!) X3 And The Pinball played there with friends was super fun~! (totally right Dave! that Guns n Roses machine was great!)
■ And finally and the most important, THE PEOPLE!! <3 <3
WAS SO NICE MEETING all kinds ol' n new friends at that and can not reccomend that high enough~! ^_________^

Harbour City FurCon~!
With HCFC only 3 weeks away there are a few bits n pieces I'm working on (Event Badges for that mostly, and some other due orders)

It'll also be the first furcon event I've been to in a while with the main intention of attending ^^-; looking forward to seeing what that's like again!

A Lost Week..
A week ago today (Monday) meltoria and I have split up \:'C

Without going into to much detail, it was indeed an emotional n' crappy roller-coaster which has left us both feeling pretty garbage during the course of this last week. I think I've cried the bulk of the initial hurt n loss out, and the occasional passionate indignation helped along initially with pushing past a lot of that.. but now I'm at a point where just this bleak void fills the space in my heart n mind that there once was such a rich friendship filled with so many wonderful things.

bluuuuurgh, just one ol' big mess that came out all in such a tangled wreck it's shattered quite a lot. Which can't so easily be undone unfortunately.

-Never wanted for it to all come to a head like it did.. and yet here it is \|C
But what's done is done and the only way now is forward, to hopefully, a better tomorrow..
Just such a shame~


Forward is the only direction next
There is, however a super-large amount of work ahead in before Harbour City FurCon, so going to try and bury myself in that now~

Seems like the best thing to do for the moment (n projects/work wont dooooo itself) \|S

OMFGAD. PAIN RELIEF IS SO. AMAZING.
So, in the wake of the a whole bunch of medical-blurhps in the month(s) prior, I'm now at a point in which the pain is almost all fully subsided (thanks to some exercises the Physio I was seeing showed me) and. holy shet.

I forget JUST how much brighter and amazing the world is when not in constant pain \|'3 colours just seem more vibrant and my love for everything just SPIKES so far up~~ ❤

GLORY!!
Soooo.. this morning I felt awesome! X3 (for the dumbest reason! ♥)

Recalling to take out the bin once a week is ROUGH ADULTING STUFF (not for most, but we've all been there at least once) so when I heard the distinct sounds of the truck coming down the street, a quick lean around the side of the house informed me we had all forgotten to take that down to the street-side (....again)

Now, we have an inspection today at some stage, and after last weekends party, and general clean-up we were a pinch on the heavy side for that this week..

TIME TO TAKE ACTION!

So in full stay-at-home-hermit-artist (who-could-honestly-sleep-better-hours-also ANYWAY) attire, I dove down with the bin only to find that the truck has already come up our side. Rats.
But!
NOT THE OTHER SIDE YET!

So, in a moment of wild genius and peak lateral thinking, placed that on the other side in hopes that might just get overlooked as our neighbors across the street being particular Earth-polluters with 2 bins, and emptied there. (sorry!)
Then RAN (yeah. like sneaky children who assumes their Great Cookie Heist of 10am on a weekend is the most diabolical thing all year) back up to the house and peaked out the window to see if my plan would come to fruition!

AND BEWM!!

SUCCESS in the HOUR of 6:32AM today! *cue dorky victory-dance to a captive audience of Ryan in the other room*

-Ninj'binning that like shet like it's a 80s Madman block-buster release! X> ❤ Sensei would be pleased!

Seen the inside of our local hospital a few more times than i would have liked 6_9;

The Bad and the Ugly;
As some of you may know already, recently I've had a few afflictions back to back since just before October started;
A rude-ass Kidney Stone, then some severe upper-back strain (which is still hanging around even now, and makes standing/sitting quite painful, drawing'laying flat/sleeping near impossible) 6_9;

Neither of which were pleasant, but the latter is on the way oust only now, laying flat is still quite painful, but during the day it's only a dull ache that pinches now and again if I'm careful not to over-do it too much.

-But GAD that's taken a chuck outta productivity leading down toward the end of 2016! :C My profuse apologies along to all my amazingly lovely clients whom have been so very patient with me during this time, aiming to be back on track with work as usual in the coming days

Scheduling more time off, and seeking out a new sleeping mattress is the next step toward preventing this 3-week-long kinda strain @_@; just can't afford for too much more of this!

So I have a friend, who is super fffkckckcing sexy & awesome whose making their own TTRPG at the moment called 'the Crawl'
-This is aimed at being SUPER dank, dirge-ish, gross, twisted and dangerous!
kinda part horror movie, part thriller, part hard medieval fantasy, but an RPG

Also teeny-part kinda 'tetris-ish' in the way you 'see how far you can get before you die horribly in a hole'! ❤ :D

And just yesterday I had my first trail in GM'ing some beta-games for some friends (RL GMing, not online/IM-based). Systems are not yet all set for this by any means, which makes it all very much a learning experience, and feel like I mussed up a few aspects (not to mention did not -nearly- use the sound-board and backing tracks to the full potential I could n should have!)

But it was overall quite fun for the most-part and am excited for it to unfold and develop more! (..still have half a party to kill also! as it got late n only wrapped up a pair of players to their d00m)

I'm rrrreal-bad with keeping my timing down for games (always seem to draw out quite a bit) and with 5 players its difficult already.


BUT ANYWAYS!
I'm super curios as to any experiences or tips you may have with spooky/scary/horror-style RPGs (as players or GMs) in how to keep the atmosphere nice n' tense, yet progressive/flowing, as well as action-y all balanced.

Typically paid work sets me a guided 'something to do' when in flat, and I've embarked on onea' those '30 day of drawing challenges' in the past (which surprisingly picks up my stamina to draw more on top of that also) to help overcome the lull.. seeking to hear out how others jump the inspirational hurdle :>
